Electronic polarization has an important impact on the site energies of charge carriers that play a key role in determining the charge transport in organic semiconductors.Dipolar molecules have strong intermolecular interactions and widespread applications in organic optoelectronics.Howeve r,compared with nonpolar organic semiconductors,electronic polarization for dipolar systems has been rarely studied.Here,taking 1,2,3,4-tetrafluoro-6,7-dimethylnaphthalene as representative,we have calculated the electronic polarization energies of dipolar organic molecular crystals by means of a polarizable forcefield method.Surprisingly,our results point to that the polarization energies for this dipolar system are similar to those of nonpolar systems.In addition,theπ-πstack contributes only about 30%~40%to the total polarization energy,thus the polarization effects along the three dimensions should be treated equally even for the one-dimensional stacking crystals.

Choice of appropriate mapping units is important in landslide susceptibility mapping(LSM).There are various possible units for this choice,while it remains unclear which one is better in performance.The purpose of this study is to make a quantitative comparison of two commonly-used units:slope-unit(SU)and raster-unit(RU)based on the landslides triggered by the 2013 Minxian,Gansu,China Mw5.9 earthquake.Ten landslide influencing factors were considered in this analysis.For each type of mapping units,the 70%samples were randomly selected and trained 20 times on the LR model,yielding 20 susceptibility maps,and the remaining 30%samples were tested for the accuracy of the modeling outcome.Different metrics,including the mean probability,model uncertainty,and model prediction skills,were used to evaluate the quality of the susceptibility maps.The results show that the resultant probability maps using two mapping units can largely predict the distribution of actual landslides,on which the high susceptibility area corresponds to the landslide-prone area.The AUC(area under curve)values,ranging from 0.8 to 0.86,show that the prediction ability of two mapping units is roughly the same.While comparing with the RU,the use of SU can lower the model uncertainties caused by the variation of training sets.We converted the RU-based assessment results into SU-based scheme.The results show that two assessment results are well fitted with good linear relationship,which implies that it is feasible to convert the RU-based landslide susceptibility mapping into the SU-based scheme.This analysis indicates that compared with the RU,the SU cannot improve the performance and accuracy of seismic landslide susceptibility mapping.

Exosomes are extracellular vesicles which carry specific molecular information from donor cells and act as an intercellular communication vehicle,which have emerged as a novel cell-free strategy for the treatment of many diseases including inflammatory disease.Recently,rising studies have developed exosome-based strategies for novel inflammation therapy due to their biocompatibility and bioactivity.Researchers not only use native exosomes as therapeutic agents for inflammation,but also strive to make up for the natural defects of exosomes through engineering methods to improve and update the property of exosomes for enhanced therapeutic effects.The engineered exosomes can improve cargo-loading efficiency,targeting ability,stability,etc.,to achieve combined and diverse treatment strategies in inflammation diseases.Herein,a comprehensive overview of the recent advances in application studies of native and engineered exosomes as well as the engineered methods is provided.Meanwhile,potential application prospects,possible challenges,the development of clinical researches of exosome treatment strategy are concluded from plentiful examples,which may be able to provide guidance and suggestions for the future research and application of exosomes.

Building connections between different data sets is a fundamental task in machine learning and related application community. With proper manifold alignment, the correspondences between data sets will assist us with comprehensive study of data processes and analyses. Despite the several progresses in semi-supervised and unsupervised scenarios, potent manifold alignment methods in generalized and realistic circumstances remain in absence. Besides, theretofore unsupervised algorithms seldom prove themselves mathematically. In this paper, we devise an efficient method to properly solve the unsupervised manifold alignment problem and denominate it as extending generalized unsupervised manifold alignment(EGUma)method. More specifically, an explicit relaxed integer programming method is adopted to solve the unsupervised manifold alignment problem, which reconciles three factors covering the updated local structure matching, the the feature comparability and geometric preservation. An additional effort is retained on extending the Frank Wolfe algorithm to tacking our optimization problem. Besides our previous endeavors we adopt a new strategy for neighborhood discovery in the manifolds. The main advantages over previous methods accommodate(1) simultaneous alignment and discovery of manifolds;(2) complete unsupervised learning structure without any prerequisite correspondence;(3) more concise local geometry for the embedding space;(4) efficient alternative optimization;(5) strict mathematical analysis on the convergence and efficiency issues. Experiments on real-world applications verify the high accuracy and efficiency of our proposed method.

CO_(2)electroreduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)has been considered as an effective technology to close the anthropogenic carbon cycle.Formate,a product of two-electron transfer in CO_(2)RR,is an economically valuable feedstock.In this work,nanoporous tin oxides were controllable synthesized by a facile and scalable electrochemical anodic oxidation method.XPS result indicated that the increased Sn 4þspecies after anodic oxidation were beneficial to reduce the overpotential of formate formation.Operando Raman spectra revealed that the enhanced formate selectivity could be attributed to the high local pH within the porous structure,which suppresses hydrogen evolution reaction(competing reaction against CO_(2)RR).Further flow cell test showed a formate partial current density of 285 ma cm^(-2)with the selectivity of 96.4%,indicating a promising industrial application prospect.

The Influence Mechanism of an Inclusive Organizational Climate on Innovation Input of Sci-Tech Talents

With the implementation of China’s innovation-driven development strategy,the competition among sci-tech talents has become increasingly fierce.Stimulating the innovative vigor of sci-tech talents has become a hot topic in theoretical research and policy practice.Based on the data from 246 questionnaires collected from sci-tech talents in Hebei province,this study explored the influence mechanism of an inclusive organizational climate on innovation input from technological talents and verified the mediating effects of innovation self-efficacy and intrinsic motivation.The results indicate that an inclusive organizational climate has a significant positive impact on innovation input,innovation self-efficacy,and intrinsic motivation of sci-tech talents.Both innovation self-efficacy and intrinsic motivation play a partial mediating role between an inclusive climate and innovation input.This study verified the important role of an inclusive climate in an organization’s human resource management practices and encouraged managers to emphasize enhancing the innovation self-efficacy and intrinsic motivation of sci-tech talents,thereby continuously improving the level of innovation.

Advancements in high-throughput sequencing(HTS)of antibody repertoires(Ig-Seq)have unprecedentedly improved our ability to characterize the antibody repertoires on a large scale.However,currently,only a few studies explored the influence of chronic HIV-1 infection on human antibody repertoires and many of them reached contradictory conclusions,possibly limited by inadequate sequencing depth and throughput.To better understand how HIV-1 infection would impact humoral immune system,in this study,we systematically analyzed the differences between the IgM(HIV-IgM)and IgG(HIV-IgG)heavy chain repertoires of HIV-1 infected patients,as well as between antibody repertoires of HIV-1 patients and healthy donors(HH).Notably,the public unique clones accounted for only a negligible proportion between the HIV-IgM and HIV-IgG repertoires libraries,and the diversity of unique clones in HIV-IgG remarkably reduced.In aspect of somatic mutation rates of CDR1 and CDR2,the HIV-IgG repertoire was higher than HIV-IgM.Besides,the average length of CDR3 region in HIV-IgM was significant longer than that in the HH repertoire,presumably caused by the great number of novel VDJ rearrangement patterns,especially a massive use of IGHJ6.Moreover,some of the B cell clonotypes had numerous clones,and somatic variants were detected within the clonotype lineage in HIV-IgG,indicating HIV-1 neutralizing activities.The in-depth characterization of HIV-IgG and HIV-IgM repertoires enriches our knowledge in the profound effect of HIV-1 infection on human antibody repertoires and may have practical value for the discovery of therapeutic antibodies.
