19世纪末20世纪初的外国剧作家们因戏剧形式上的探索和转向而备受关注。这一时期恰好与第二次科技革命重合,其间一个容易被忽视的特征是:世纪之交的戏剧体现了科技飞跃的成果。自然主义剧作家们尊重并自觉遵循生物学家的研究成果;而象征主义剧作家关注科技引起的感知变化,并将认知的边界引向神秘主义。当代戏剧同样处于科技变革的时代,科技与艺术的亲密关系不言而喻。

To the Editor:Antithrombotic therapy is essential to prevent adverse ischemic events during and after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Anticoagulation during PCI is most commonly achieved with heparin or bivalirudin.Bivalirudin does not activate platelets,does not bind to plasma proteins and has linear pharmaco-kinetics with a short half-life of 25 min.[1,2,3]These characteristics indicate that bivalirudin may be an ideal anticoagulation drug for PCI.Prior trials which were about patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI)undergoing primary PCI showed that a bivalirudin-based anticoagulation strategy decreased the risk of major bleeding,but it was associated with an increased risk of acute stent thrombosis(ST)compared with a heparin-based strategy.[4]It was considered that short half-life of bivalirudin and delayed onset of platelet P2Y12 receptor inhibitor in AMI patients led to a blank period of antithrombotic therapy after primary PCI.

The rapid development of portable,foldable,and wearable electronic devices requires flexible energy storage systems.Sodiumion capacitors(SICs)combining the high energy of batteries and the high power of supercapacitors are promising solutions.However,the lack of flexible and durable electrode materials that allow fast and reversible Na+storage hinders the development of flexible SICs.Herein,we report a high-capacity,free-standing and flexible Sb2S3/Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx composite film for fast and stable sodium storage.In this hybrid nano-architecture,the Sb_(2)S_(3)nanowires uniformly anchored between Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx nanosheets not only act as sodium storage reservoirs but also pillar the two-dimensional(2D)Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx to form three-dimensional(3D)channels benefiting for electrolyte penetration.Meanwhile,the highly conductive Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx nanosheets provide rapid electron transport pathways,confine the volume expansion of Sb_(2)S_(3)during sodiation,and restrain the dissolution of discharged sodium polysulfides through physical constraint and chemical absorption.Owing to the synergistic effects of the one-dimensional(1D)Sb_(2)S_(3)nanowires and 2D MXenes,the resultant composite anodes exhibit outstanding rate performance(553 mAh·g−1 at 2 A·g−1)and cycle stability in sodium-ion batteries.Moreover,the flexible SICs using Sb2S3/Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx anodes and active carbon/reduced graphene oxide(AC/rGO)paper cathodes deliver a superior energy and power density in comparison with previously reported devices,as well as an excellent cycling performance with a high capacity retention of 82.78%after 5,000 cycles.This work sheds light on the design of next-generation low-cost,flexible and fast-charging energy storage devices.

The activation of hepatic stellate cells(HSCs)participates in liver fibrosis,and emerging evidences indicate that microRNAs(miRNAs)are abnormally expressed during HSC activation.However,the potential roles of miRNAs in liver fibrosis still remain elusive.Therefore,this study aimed to investigate the role of miR-199a-3p in liver fibrosis and its underlying mechanism.We found that miR-199a-3p expression was dramatically upregulated during HSC activation in vitro,and during liver fibrogenesis in CCl4-treated rats,and its liver expression was increased in the patients with cirrhosis.By the luciferase assay and RT-qPCR,we revealed that the expression of miR-199a-3p in HSCs was driven by the transcription factor Twist1 which could be further induced by TGF-βtreatment.Functional studies showed that inhibition of miR-199a-3p in both human LX2 cells and rat HSCs significantly decreased the expression of fibrotic markers,such as fibronectin and connective tissue growth factor(CTGF),whereas the forced expression of miR-199a-3p exhibited opposite effects,demonstrating the role of miR-199a-3p in promoting HSC activation.Mechanistically,miR-199a-3p plays an important role in TGF-βsignalling pathway activation through targeting CAV2 that negatively regulates the expression of transforming growth factor-beta receptor type I(TGFβRI).Importantly,administration of antagomiR-199a-3p in the CCl4-treated mice significantly ameliorated hepatic fibrosis.In conclusion,Twist1-induced miR-199a-3p mediates the activation of HSCs by suppressing CAV2 expression and subsequently increasing TGFβRI expression to promote TGF-βpathway.Our findings highlight the therapeutic potential of miR-199a-3p for hepatic fibrosis.

UV/chlorine process,as an emerging advanced oxidation process(AOP),was effective for removing micro-pollutants via various reactive radicals,but it also led to the changes of natural organic matter(NOM)and formation of disinfection byproducts(DBPs).By using negative ion electrospray ionization coupled with Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry(ESI FT-ICR MS),the transformation of Suwannee River NOM(SRNOM)and the formation of chlorinated DBPs(Cl-DBPs)in the UV/chlorine AOP and subsequent post-chlorination were tracked and compared with dark chlorination.In comparison to dark chlorination,the involvement of Cl O·,Cl·,and HO·in the UV/chlorine AOP promoted the transformation of NOM by removing the compounds owning higher aromaticity(AI mod)value and DBE(double-bond equivalence)/C ratio and causing the decrease in the proportion of aromatic compounds.Meanwhile,more compounds which contained only C,H,O,N atoms(CHON)were observed after the UV/chlorine AOP compared with dark chlorination via photolysis of organic chloramines or radical reactions.A total of 833 compounds contained C,H,O,Cl atoms(CHOCl)were observed after the UV/chlorine AOP,higher than 789 CHOCl compounds in dark chlorination,and one-chlorine-containing components were the dominant species.The different products from chlorine substitution reactions(SR)and addition reactions(AR)suggested that SR often occurred in the precursors owning higher H/C ratio and AR often occurred in the precursors owning higher aromaticity.Post-chlorination further caused the cleavages of NOM structures into small molecular weight compounds,removed CHON compounds and enhanced the formation of Cl-DBPs.The results provide information about NOM transformation and Cl-DBPs formation at molecular levels in the UV/chlorine AOP.

A kinetic model was proposed to predict the seawater fouling process in the seawater heat exchangers.The new model adopted an expression combining depositional and removal behaviors for seawater fouling based on the Kern–Seaton model.The present model parameters include the integrated kinetic rate of deposition(k d)and the integrated kinetic rate of removal(k r),which have clear physical signi ficance.A seawater-fouling monitoring device was established to validate the model.The experimental data were well fitted to the model,and the parameters were obtained in different conditions.SEM and EDX analyses were performed after the experiments,and the results show that the main components of seawater fouling are magnesium hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide.The effects of surface temperature,flow velocity and surface free energy were assessed by the model and the experimental data.The results indicate that the seawater fouling becomes aggravated as the surface temperature increased in a certain range,and the seawater fouling resistance reduced as the flow velocity of seawater increased.Furthermore,the effect of the surface free energy of metals was analyzed,showing that the lower surface free energy mitigates the seawater fouling accumulation.

In this investigation, CdS samples with different morphologies(one-dimensional rod-shaped CdS-R, two-dimensional flower-like CdS-P, three-dimensional nanospheres CdS-S) were synthesized by hydrothermal and solvothermal methods, respectively. Then, they were assembled with an alkali-activated covalent Triazine-base framework(ACTF) that was prepared using a simple calcination method. The formation and chemical states of CdS and CdS-ACTF composite samples were analyzed by XRD and XPS. The morphology and microstructure of the synthesized samples were characterized by SEM and TEM. The adsorption-photocatalytical performance of CdS-ACTF adsorbent was evaluated by using tetracycline as the target contaminant under visible light irradiation. When the mass percent of ACTF was 5%, the CdS-P-ACTF composite displayed the best removal rate(96.1%) for tetracycline, which is assigned to the strong photocatalytic activity of CdS and the good adsorption performance of ACTF with the ultra-high specific surface area. Compared with the single-phase CdS, the cyclic experimental studies have shown that the stability is well improved. In summing up it is supposed that CdS-ACTF could be used as a promising adsorption-light regeneration material to remove tetracycline residues from the environment.
