Objective:To analyze and provide a comprehensive overview of the knowledge structure and research hotspots of clinical interventions for falls in elderly patients in the community.Methods:The search for publications related to clinical interventions for falls in elderly patients in the community from 2002 to 2022 was conducted on the Web of Science Core Collection(WoSCC)database.VOSviewers,CiteSpace,and the R package“bibliometrix”were used to conduct this bibliometric analysis.Results:2091 articles from 70 countries,primarily the United States and Australia,were included.The number of publications related to clinical interventions for falls in elderly patients is increasing yearly.The main research institutions in this field were the University of Sydney,Harvard University,and the University of California.BioMed Central(BMC)Geriatrics was the most popular journal in this field and Journals of the American Geriatrics Society was the most co-cited journal.These publications came from 8984 authors among which author Lord SR had published the most papers and author Tinetti Me had the most co-citations.The main keywords in this research field were“balance,”“exercise,”and“risk factor.”Conclusion:This was the first bibliometric study that comprehensively summarized the research hot spots and development of clinical interventions for falls in elderly patients in the community.This paper aims to provide a reference for scholars and researchers in this particular field.

The mortality of patients with severe pneumonia caused by H1N1 infection is closely related to viral replication and cytokine storm.However,the specific mechanisms triggering virus replication and cytokine storm are still not fully elucidated.Here,we identified hypoxia inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α)as one of the major host molecules that facilitates H1N1 virus replication followed by cytokine storm in alveolar epithelial cells.Specifically,HIF-1αprotein expression is upregulated after H1N1 infection.Deficiency of HIF-1αattenuates pulmonary injury,viral replication and cytokine storm in vivo.In addition,viral replication and cytokine storm were inhibited after HIF-1αknockdown in vitro.Mechanistically,the invasion of H1N1 virus into alveolar epithelial cells leads to a shift in glucose metabolism to glycolysis,with rapid production of ATP and lactate.Inhibition of glycolysis significantly suppresses viral replication and inflammatory responses.Further analysis revealed that H1N1-induced HIF-1αcan promote the expression of hexokinase 2(HK2),the key enzyme of glycolysis,and then not only provide energy for the rapid replication of H1N1 virus but also produce lactate,which reduces the accumulation of the MAVS/RIG-I complex and inhibits IFN-α/βproduction.In conclusion,this study demonstrated that the upregulation of HIF-1αby H1N1 infection augments viral replication and cytokine storm by cellular metabolic reprogramming toward glycolysis mainly through upregulation of HK2,providing a theoretical basis for finding potential targets for the treatment of severe pneumonia caused by H1N1 infection.

Traditional photo-electcatalyst structures of small noble metal nanoparticles assembling into large-scale photoactive semiconductors still suffer from agglomeration of noble metal nanoparticles,insufficient charge transfer,undesirable photoresponse ability that restricted the photo-electrocatalytic performance.To this end,a novel design strategy is proposed in this work,namely integrating small-scale photoactive materials(doped graphene quantum dots,S,N-GQDs)with large-sized noble metal(Pd P)nanoflowers to form novel photo-electrocatalysts for high-efficient alcohol oxidation reaction.As expected,superior electrocatalytic performance of Pd P/S,N-GQDs for ethylene glycol oxidation is acquired,thanks to the nanoflower structure with larger specific surface area and abundant active sites.Furthermore,nonmetal P are demonstrated,especially optimizing the adsorption strength,enhancing the interfacial contact,reducing metal agglomeration,ensuring uniform and efficient doping of S,N-GQDs,and ultimately significantly boost the catalytic activity of photo-electrocatalysts.

There are stillchallenges in applying drug nanocarriers for in situ sustained macrophage targeting and regulation,due to the rapid clearance of nanocarriers and burst drug release invivo.Herein,a nanomicellehydrogel microsphere,characterized by its macrophage-targeted nanosized secondary structure that allows it to accurately bind to M1 macrophages through active endocytosis,is employed for in situ sustained macrophage targeting and regulation,and addresses the insufficient osteoarthritis therapeutic efficacy caused by rapid clearance of drug nanocarriers.The 3-dimensional structure of a microsphere can prevent the rapid escape and clearance of a nanomicelle,thus keeping it in joints,while the ligand-guided secondary structure can carry drugs to accurately target and enter M1 macrophages,and release drugs via the transition from hydrophobicity to hydrophilicity of nanomicelles under inflammatory stimulation inside the macrophages.

Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)-positive breast cancer(BC)has been the most challenging subtype of BC,consisting of 20%of BC with an apparent correlation with poor prognosis.Despite that pyrotinib,a new HER2 inhibitor,has led to dramatic improvements in prognosis,the efficacy of pyrotinib monotherapy remains largely restricted due to its acquired resistance.Therefore,identifying a new potential antitumor drug in combination with pyrotinib to amplify therapeutic efficacy is a pressing necessity.Here,we reported a novel combination of pyrotinib with chrysin and explored its antitumor efficacy and the underlying mechanism in HER2-positive BC.We determined that pyrotinib combined with chrysin yielded a potent synergistic effect to induce more evident cell cycle arrest,inhibit the proliferation of BT-474 and SK-BR-3 BC cells,and repress in vivo tumor growth in xenograft mice models.This may be attributed to enhanced autophagy induced by endoplasmic reticulum stress.Furthermore,the combined treatment of pyrotinib and chrysin induced ubiquitination and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase(G6PD)degradation by upregulating zinc finger and BTB/POZ domain-containing family protein 16(ZBTB16)in tumorigenesis of BC.Mechanistically,we identified that miR-16-5p was a potential upstream regulator of ZBTB16,and it showed a significant inverse correlation with ZBTB16.Inhibition of miR-16-5p overexpression by restoring ZBTB16 significantly potentiated the overall antitumor efficacy of pyrotinib combined with chrysin against HER2-positive BC.Together,these findings demonstrate that the combined treatment of pyrotinib and chrysin enhances autophagy in HER2-positive BC through an unrecognized miR-16-5p/ZBTB16/G6PD axis.

The shuttle effect induced by soluble lithium polysulfides(LiPSs)is known as one of the crucial issues that limit the practical applications of lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries.Herein,a titanium dioxide nanoparticle embedded in nitrogen-doped porous carbon nanofiber(TiO_(2)@NCNF)composite is constructed via an interface-induced polymerization strategy to serve as an ideal sulfur host.Under the protection of the nanofiber walls,the uniformly dispersed TiO_(2) nanocrystalline can act as capturing centers to constantly immobilize LiPSs towards durable sulfur chemistry.Besides,the mesoporous microstructure in the fibrous framework endows the TiO_(2)@NCNF host with strong physical reservation for sulfur and LiPSs,sufficient pathways for electron/ion transfer,and excellent endurance for volume change.As expected,the sulfur-loaded TiO_(2)@NCNF composite electrode presents a fabulous rate performance and long cycle lifespan(capacity fading rate of 0.062%per cycle over 500 cycles)at 2.0 C.Furthermore,the assembled Li-S batteries harvest superb areal capacity and cycling stability even under high sulfur loading and lean electrolyte conditions.

Recovery of Flavor Perception and Umami Taste Sensitivity in Young Chinese Adults Following SARS-CoV-2 Omicron Infection: A Case-Control Series

SARS-CoV-2， particularly the Omicron variant， often leads to flavor perception dysfunction in infected individuals， making a comprehensive understanding of its duration and recovery patterns a critical part of disease management. This study surveyed a cohort of 199 mildly-to-moderately affected SARS-CoV-2 Omicron-infected patients， focusing on the alterations in their olfaction， taste， and chemesthesis perception. Further， a subset of 36 participants (18 healthy and 18 infected) underwent sensory evaluations to check the variation of umami taste sensitivity. The results demonstrated that most of the infected cohort experienced chemosensory disorders， with the recovery period varying between one week and over a month. Intriguingly， the severity of flavor perception changes during infection significantly correlated with the length of the recovery period. Furthermore， this study explored the specific manifestations of flavor perception dysfunction， potential contributing factors， and potential mechanistic explanations for chemosensory disorders. These include local damage， inflammatory responses， and virus-induced neural damage. However， this study revealed no significant change (P > 0.05) in umami taste sensitivity among infected patients 55 days post-infection. While this research faces limitations related to its self-reported， cross-sectional design， and regional focus， it offers valuable insights into the multifaceted impact of COVID-19， particularly the Omicron variant， on chemosensory perception.

Dysregulation of neurotransmitter metabolism in the central nervous system contributes to mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and post–traumatic stress disorder. Monoamines and amino acids are important types of neurotransmitters. Our previous results have shown that disco-interacting protein 2 homolog A(Dip2a) knockout mice exhibit brain development disorders and abnormal amino acid metabolism in serum. This suggests that DIP2A is involved in the metabolism of amino acid–associated neurotransmitters. Therefore, we performed targeted neurotransmitter metabolomics analysis and found that Dip2a deficiency caused abnormal metabolism of tryptophan and thyroxine in the basolateral amygdala and medial prefrontal cortex. In addition, acute restraint stress induced a decrease in 5-hydroxytryptamine in the basolateral amygdala. Additionally, Dip2a was abundantly expressed in excitatory neurons of the basolateral amygdala, and deletion of Dip2a in these neurons resulted in hopelessness-like behavior in the tail suspension test. Altogether, these findings demonstrate that DIP2A in the basolateral amygdala may be involved in the regulation of stress susceptibility. This provides critical evidence implicating a role of DIP2A in affective disorders.

The therapeutic outcomes of conventional oral medications against ulcerative colitis(UC)are restricted by inefficient drug delivery to the colitis mucosa and weak capacity to modulate the inflammatory microenvironment.Herein,a fluorinated pluronic(FP127)was synthesized and employed to functionalize the surface of mulberry leaf-derived nanoparticles(MLNs)loading with resveratrol nanocrystals(RNs).The obtained FP127@RN-MLNs possessed exosome-like morphologies,desirable particle sizes(around 171.4 nm),and negatively charged surfaces(−14.8 mV).The introduction of FP127 to RN-MLNs greatly improved their stability in the colon and promoted their mucus infiltration and mucosal penetration capacities due to the unique fluorine effect.

On May 22,2021,a Mw 7.3 earthquake occurred in Maduo County,Qinghai Province with the epicenter of 34.59°N,98.34°E.The distribution of aftershocks and surface ruptures suggested that the seismogenic structure might be the Jiangcuo fault(JF),~70 km south of East Kunlun fault(EKLF).Due to the high altitude and sparse human habitats,there are very few researches on the Jiangcuo fault,which makes us know little about the deformation features and even the geometry of Jiangcuo fault.In this study,we used the high-resolution pre-earthquake satellite images to interpret the spatial distribution and geometry of the Jiangcuo fault.Our results show that the Jiangcuo fault strikes nearly east,extending 180-km-long from Eling Lake to east of Changmahe Town.Based on the geometric features,the Jiangcuo fault could be divided into three segments characterized as the linear structures,fault valleys,scarps and systematic offset of channels.The boundary between Bayan Har Block and Qaidam Block is presented as a wide deformation zone named of Kunlun belt that is composed of East Kunlun fault and several branch faults around Anemaqen Mountain.Geometric analysis and deep lithosphere structure around Maduo County suggest that the Jiangcuo fault should be one of branch of East Kunlun fault at south,where the Kunlun fault developed as a giant flower structure.In addition,the seismic hazards potential of Jiangcuo fault should be given enough attention in the future,because west of the Jiangcuo fault,there is a rupture gap between the co-seismic surface ruptures of the 2001 Kunlun,2021 Maduo and 1937 Huashixia Earthquakes.
