Shifting the Paradigm:A Fresh Look at Physical Activity Frequency and Its Impact on Mental Health,life Satisfaction,and Self-Rated Health in Adolescents

As adolescent mental health problems are becoming a more serious issue globally,this paper explores the relationship of physical activity in adolescents and its frequency on mental health as well as examines the mediating effects of life satisfaction and self-rated health in order to provide a reference for the promotion of mental health in adolescents.A sample of 3578 Chinese high school students completed questionnaires assessing their mental health,physical activity frequency,life satisfaction,and self-rated health.The mean SCL-90 value for adolescents was found to be 1.629%,and 24.73%of adolescents had varying degrees of mental health issue.Increased physical activity frequency is positively associated with improved mental health(plife satisfaction and self-rated health were found to play significant mediating roles in the relationship between physical activity frequency and mental health.Specifically,low-frequency physical activity had the most pronounced mediating effect on mental health through life satisfaction,while high-frequency physical activity exerted the most significant mediating effect on mental health through self-rated health.These findings underscore the importance of promoting physical activity among adolescents and highlight the distinct pathways through which physical activity frequency can influence mental health outcomes.Further research is needed to explore these relationships in diverse populations and settings,as well as to develop targeted intervention.

Studies have suggested that the nucleus accumbens(NAc)is implicated in the pathophysiology of major depression;however,the regulatory strategy that targets the NAc to achieve an exclusive and outstanding anti-depression benefit has not been elucidated.Here,we identified a specific reduction of cyclic adenosine monophosphate(cAMP)in the subset of dopamine D1 receptor medium spiny neurons(D1-MSNs)in the NAc that promoted stress susceptibility,while the stimulation of cAMP production in NAc D1-MSNs efficiently rescued depression-like behaviors.Ketamine treatment enhanced cAMP both in D1-MSNs and dopamine D2 receptor medium spiny neurons(D2-MSNs)of depressed mice,however,the rapid antidepressant effect of ketamine solely depended on elevating cAMP in NAc D1-MSNs.We discovered that a higher dose of crocin markedly increased cAMP in the NAc and consistently relieved depression 24 h after oral administration,but not a lower dose.The fast onset property of crocin was verified through multicenter studies.Moreover,crocin specifically targeted at D1-MSN cAMP signaling in the NAc to relieve depression and had no effect on D2-MSN.These findings characterize a new strategy to achieve an exclusive and outstanding anti-depression benefit by elevating cAMP in D1-MSNs in the NAc,and provide a potential rapid antidepressant drug candidate,crocin.

Laminar Flame Instability of n-Hexane,n-Octane,and n-Decane in Spherical Expanding Flames

This paper focuses on the laminar flame instability of three high molecular weight n-alkanes,namely n-hexane,n-octane,and n-decane.The experiment was carried out in a constant volume combustion bomb to get the flame images.The critical radius under different conditions was extracted using the image processing program.Combined with the existing critical Peclet number theory,the dominant factors of flame instability under current conditions for three n-alkanes can be figured out.Moreover,the average cell size(equivalent cell radius,R_(cell))was extracted to provide quantitative analysis of the flame cellular structure,based on the method developed in this work.The theoretical R_(cell)were also calculated and compared with the experimental results to validate the proposed method.

Electrochemical NO reduction to NH3 on Cu single atom catalyst

Electrochemical NO reduction reaction(NORR)to generate NH_(3)emerges as a fascinating approach to achieve both NO pollution mitigation and sustainable NH_(3)synthesis.Herein,we demonstrate that single-atomic Cu anchored on MoS_(2)(Cu_(1)/MoS_(2))comprising Cu_(1)-S_(3)motifs can serve as a highly efficient NORR catalyst.Cu1/MoS_(2)exhibits an NH_(3)yield rate of 337.5μmol·h^(−1)·cm^(−2)with a Faradaic efficiency of 90.6%at−0.6 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE).Combined experiments and theoretical calculations reveal that Cu1-S3 motifs enable the effective activation and hydrogenation of NO through a mixed pathway and simultaneously retard proton coverage,contributing to the high activity and selectivity of Cu1/MoS_(2)for the NORR.

In the field of noble metal-catalyzed alcohol electro-oxidation reaction(AOR),huge attention is paid on the composition,size,facet,and structure of the metals,while the support engineering should also be emphasized.CeO_(2)has been widely used as a unique support in AOR,primarily due to its abundant oxygen vacancies(O_(v)).Herein,we report CeO_(2)·xH_(2)O nanoparticles with both massive hydroxyl groups(OH)and O_(v)remarkably enhance the catalytic activity and stability of Pd toward ethanol oxidation reaction(EOR).The CO striping experiments and density functional theory(DFT)calculations suggest that OH and O_(v)on CeO_(2)·xH_(2)O surface bring about a large downshift of Pd d-band center and a significant weakening of CO absorption on Pd.Moreover,OH and O_(v)also play synergic roles in the removal of toxic intermediates.Consequently,the important roles of OH and O_(v)of CeO_(2)·xH_(2)O are confirmed in Pd-catalyzed EOR.The facile CeO_(2)·xH_(2)O-enhanced strategy can contribute to the catalyst design for other energy conversion reactions.

单电感双输出Buck-Boost (SIDO Buck-Boost)变换器在电感电流连续模式(CCM)下工作存在交叉影响以及非最小相位特性的问题.为了解决上述问题,提出基于储能函数的扩张状态观测器(ESO)的改进非奇异快速终端滑模(NFTSM)和自抗扰控制(ADRC)相结合的控制策略.设计主路控制器,对系统的传递函数进行拟合得到ADRC范式,利用该范式对主路进行解耦控制.设计支路控制器,采用改进型ESO对储能函数进行观测,并将观测值反馈补偿到非奇异快速终端滑模控制律中,达到支路解耦的效果.为了抑制滑模控制的抖振问题,对趋近律进行改进.利用Lyapunov理论证明系统稳定性.基于硬件在环(HIL)实验平台进行实验验证.结果表明,所提控制策略与PI控制策略以及基于ESO的滑模控制策略相比,在超调量和响应时间上具有较好的效果.

接纳伊朗为成员国,是上海合作组织第二轮扩员取得的最新成果。整体来看,伊朗加入上合组织的动机是一贯的,主要有抵御美国霸权行径、减轻美欧经济制裁压力和推进“向东看政策”三方面诉求。接纳伊朗为成员国,将进一步提升上合组织促进地区和平与发展的潜力,但也将加速该组织内部合作格局变迁,促使美西方加大污名化该组织的力度。为充分把握扩员带来的机遇、有效减轻扩员招致的干扰,上合组织成员国正遵循三种路径进行调适:多领域深化与伊朗的务实合作;推动组织内部合作格局朝“中俄引领下的多中心”方向转型;在组织内部明确并强化以中亚为核心区、周边为重要延伸的地区定位,以政治合作为方向舵、安全合作为引擎、经济与人文合作为两翼的功能定位。目前,上合组织发展已进入到关键阶段,成员国正着力深化和拓展组织框架内协作,充分“消化”和“吸收”两次扩员的影响,继续秉持开放、审慎等原则对待后续发展。
