Using the Hamiltonian function method, this paper proposes a family of robust adaptive excitation con- trollers for synchronous generators with steam valve control. First, a parameterization method of robust adaptive controllers is investigated for dissipative Hamiltonian systems. This method avoids solving Hamilton-Jacobi-Issacs inequalities. The parameters in the family of controllers thus obtained are determined by a locally positive semidefinite function, which has only 2n independent variables, twice as many as the one used to characterize the state feedback. Then, with the parame- terization method and the structural properties of dissipative Hamiltonian systems, a family of robust adaptive excitation controllers is designed for synchronous generators with steam valve control, disturbances and unknown parameters. Simu- lations illustrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the excitation control strategy proposed in the paper.

Thyroid cancer (TC) is the most common endocrine system cancer, of note, the overall survival of TC in China is suboptimal when comparing with the developed countries such as US (84.3%vs.98.3%), posing a great challenge among professionals involved in this *** of its diagnosis and treatment not only provides the basis for all the care givers to promote the entire level of TC management, but also is helpful in shortening the distance between China and other developed countries. A multidisciplinary team (MDT)should be involved in the comprehensive clinical management of TC, particularly for those advanced or refractory TC, which needs cooperation among members from ultrasonography, radiology, pathology, surgery.

Background:The development of immunotherapy resistance is associated with a poor prognosis in patients diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)who are undergoing treatment with immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICI).This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of subsequent radiotherapy(RT)for patients with advanced-stage HCC who had lesion enlargement or new lesions(NLs)during ICI ***:This retrospective observational study enrolled 36 patients with advanced-stage HCC who underwent subsequent RT for lesion enlargement or NLs during ICI therapy from two *** primary endpoints were progression-free survival(PFS)and overall survival(OS).The secondary endpoints included objective response rate(ORR),disease control rate(DCR),1-and 2-year local control(LC)rates,in-field PFS(IFPFS),out-field PFS(OFPFS),and ***:The median follow-up time was 15.3 *** median PFS was 7.4 months[95%confidence interval(CI):3.1-11.7 months],and the median OS was 18.8 months(95%CI:17.1-20.5 months).ORR and DCR were 38.9%and 72.2%,*** addition,the median IFPFS was 17.8 months(95%CI:11.5-24.2 months),median OFPFS was 7.9 months(95%CI:3.4-12.5 months),and estimated 1-and 2-year LC rates were 67.1%and 31.9%,*** most common treatment-related adverse events(all grades)were diarrhea(33.3%),rash(30.6%),and malaise(27.8%);a total of 14(38.9%)patients developed grade 3-4 ***:Subsequent RT showed reliable antitumor effects and an acceptable safety profile in patients with advanced-stage HCC who had unsatisfactory response to ICI therapy;therefore,it could serve as an optional salvage strategy.

Normalization of ventral tegmental area structure following acupuncture in a rat model of heroin relapse

Drugs can cause obvious damage to the brain. To verify the relationship between acupuncture, neurotrophic factor expression and brain cell structural changes, this study established a rat model of heroin relapse using intramuscular injection of increasing amounts of heroin. During the detoxification period, rat models received acupuncture at Baihui （DU20） and Dazhui （DU14）. Electron microscopy demonstrated that the structure of the ventral tegmental area in heroin relapse rats gradually became normalized after acupuncture treatment. Immunohistochem- ical staining exhibited that the expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor and glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor increased in the ventral tegmental area following acupuncture. Moreover, the effects were similar to that of methadone, a type of medicine called an opioid. Results suggested that acupuncture at Baihui and Dazhui protected brain neurons against injury in rats with heroin relapse by promoting brain-derived neurotrophic factor and glial cell line-de-rived neurotrophic factor expression.

Acupuncture at Baihui （GV20） and Dazhui （GV14） reduces neuronal loss and attenuates ultra- structural damage in cerebral ischemic rats. However, whether acupuncture can treat addiction and prevent readdiction through changes to brain cell ultrastructure remains unknown. In this study, cell apoptosis was observed in the hippocampus and frontal lobe of heroin readdicted rats by electron microscopy. Immunohistochemical staining displayed a reduction in Bcl-2 ex- pression and an increase in Bax expression in the hippocampus and frontal lobe. After rats were given acupuncture at Baihui and Dazhui, the pathological damage in the hippocampus and frontal lobe was significantly reduced, Bcl-2 expression was upregulated and Bax expression was downregulated. Acupuncture exerted a similar effect with methadone, a commonly used drug for clinical treatment of drug addiction. Experimental findings suggest that acupuncture at Dazhui and Baihui can prevent brain cell apoptosis in heroin readdicted rats.

Research on the Model of Consumer Health Information Seeking Behavior via Social Media

Purpose: We aim to create a model of consumer health information seeking behavior via social media, then to have a better understand of it. After that further efforts should be made to provide targeted recommendations for media managers to promote health communication via social media. Methods: Our custom model was derived from literature review, empirical research was tested by the use of questionnaire investigation, and then the collected data were analyzed by structural equation model tool SmartPLS. Finally, the custom model was modified according to the experimental results of SmartPLS. Results: A total of 239 (66.39%) of the respondents were female and 121 (33.61%) were male. The maximum of two stages of age were 18 - 29 (70.56%), 30 - 39 (13.89%). Wechat (60.28%), QQ Zone (55.22%), Micro-blog (48.89%) were the most commonly used social media to obtain health information. About 44.72% of respondents used social media to obtain health information multiple times a day. The whole numerical values of AVE, cronbach’s alpha, CR and square roots of AVE were above the benchmarks of themselves and showed great reliability and validity. All the 11 hypotheses had obvious statistical significance, the P-value of eight path coefficients exhibited <0.001, one path coefficient exhibited <0.01 and two path coefficients exhibited <0.05. Conclusions: A suitable model of consumer health information seeking behavior via social media was created and some inner relationships were found. Namely, gratification of health information and its platform had a positive effect on attitudes toward health information seeking behavior. Health information literacy and health status were proved to have a significant influence on attitudes toward health information seeking behavior, subject norms and perceived behavioral control respectively.
