The seasonal and diurnal variations of cloud systems are profoundly affected by the large-scale and local *** this study,a one-year-long simulation was conducted using a two-dimensional cloud-resolving model over the Eastern Tibetan Plateau(ETP)and two subregions of Eastern China:Southern East China and Central East *** convective clouds(DCCs)rarely occur in the cold season over ETP,whereas DCCs appear in Eastern China throughout the year,and the ETP DCCs are approximately 20%−30%shallower than those over Eastern *** strong rainfall events(precipitation intensity,PI>2.5 mm h−1)in Eastern China are related to warm-season DCCs with ice cloud *** of the high elevation of the ETP,the warm-season freezing level is lower than in Eastern China,providing favorable conditions for ice cloud *** are responsible for the diurnal variations of warm-season rainfall in all three ***-season DCCs over the ETP have the greatest total cloud water content and frequency in the afternoon,resulting in an afternoon rainfall *** addition,rainfall events in the ETP also exhibit a nocturnal peak in spring,summer,and autumn due to *** surface heat fluxes around noon can trigger or promote DCCs in spring,summer,and autumn over the ETP but produce only cumulus clouds in winter due to the cold and dry environment.

Domain walls（DWs） in ferroelectrics are atomically sharp and can be created, erased, and reconfigured within the same physical volume of ferroelectric matrix by external electric fields. They possess a myriad of novel properties and functionalities that are absent in the bulk of the domains, and thus could become an essential element in next-generation nanodevices based on ferroelectrics. The knowledge about the structure and properties of ferroelectric DWs not only advances the fundamental understanding of ferroelectrics, but also provides guidance for the design of ferroelectric-based devices. In this article, we provide a review of structures and properties of DWs in one of the most widely studied ferroelectric systems, BiFeO3thin films. We correlate their conductivity and photovoltaic properties to the atomic-scale structure and dynamic behaviors of DWs.

In the post-genomic era,proteomics has achieved significant theoretical and practical advances with the development of high-throughput *** the rapid accumulation of protein-protein interactions(PPIs)provides a foundation for constructing protein interaction networks(PINs),which can furnish a new perspective for understanding cellular organizations,processes,and functions at network *** this paper,we present a comprehensive survey on three main characteristics of PINs:centrality,modularity,and dynamics.1)Different centrality measures,which are used to calculate the importance of proteins,are summarized based on the structural characteristics of PINs or on the basis of its integrated biological information;2)Different modularity definitions and various clustering algorithms for predicting protein complexes or identifying functional modules are introduced;3)The dynamics of proteins,PPIs and sub-networks are discussed,***,the main applications of PINs in the complex diseases are reviewed,and the challenges and future research directions are also discussed.

Metastasis is responsible for the majority of deaths among breast cancer *** parallel polyclonal seeding has been shown to contribute to organ-specific metastasis,in the past decade,horizontal cross-metastatic seeding(metastasis-to-metastasis spreading)has also been demonstrated as a pattern of distant metastasis to multiple ***,as the most frequent first destination of breast cancer metastasis,has been demonstrated to facilitate the secondary dissemination of breast cancer *** this review,we summarize the clinical and experimental evidence that bone is a transfer station for the secondary dissemination of breast *** also discuss the regulatory mechanisms of the bone microenvironment in secondary seeding of breast cancer,focusing on stemness regulation,quiescence-proliferation equilibrium regulation,epigenetic reprogramming and immune escape of cancer ***,we highlight future research perspectives and strategies for preventing secondary dissemination from bone.

With the rapid development of power-electronicsenabled power systems,the new converter-based generators are deteriorating the small-signal stability of the power *** the numerical differentiation method has been widely used for approximately calculating the eigenvalue sensitivities,its accuracy has not been carefully ***,the element-based formulation for computing closed-form eigenvalue sensitivities has not been used in any commercial software due to the average efficiency,complicated formulation,and errorprone *** on the matrix calculus,this paper proposes an easily manipulated formulation of the closed-form eigenvalue sensitivities with respect to the power *** distinguishing feature of the formulation is that all the formulas consist of vector and matrix operations,which can be performed by developed numerical algorithms to take full advantages of architectural features of the modern *** tests on WSCC 3-machine 9-bus system,New England 10-machine 39-bus system,and IEEE 54-machine 118-bus system show that the accuracy of the proposed formulation is superior to the numerical differentiation method and the efficiency is also greatly improved compared to the element-based closed-form *** proposed formulation will be helpful to perform a more accurate and faster stability analysis of a power grid with converter-based devices.

To solve the problem of grid coarse-grained reconfigurable array task mapping under multiple constraints,we propose a Loop Subgraph-Level Greedy Mapping(LSLGM)algorithm using parallelism and processing element *** the constraint of a reconfigurable array,the LSLGM algorithm schedules node from a ready queue to the current reconfigurable cell array *** mapping a node,its successor’s indegree value will be dynamically *** its successor’s indegree is zero,it will be directly scheduled to the ready queue;otherwise,the predecessor must be dynamically *** the predecessor cannot be mapped,it will be scheduled to a blocking *** dynamically adjust the ready node scheduling order,the scheduling function is constructed by exploiting factors,such as node number,node level,and node *** with the loop subgraph-level mapping algorithm,experimental results show that the total cycles of the LSLGM algorithm decreases by an average of 33.0%(PEA44)and 33.9%(PEA_(7×7)).Compared with the epimorphism map algorithm,the total cycles of the LSLGM algorithm decrease by an average of 38.1%(PEA_(4×4))and 39.0%(PEA_(7×7)).The feasibility of LSLGM is verified.

Simulating experiment on the enrichment of precious metals in Lower Cambrian black shale series of Hunan and Guizhou provinces

Adsorption experiments were made at room temperature and neutral pH value on different types of min-erals associated with the Lower Cambrian black shale series polymetallic layers in Hunan and Guizhou provinces on nanometer-sized Pt colloids and PtCl42--bearing ionic solutions with an attempt to constrain the relationship between the different types of minerals in the polymetallic layers and the enrichment of platinum group elements (PGEs). Experimental results showed that the different types of minerals show strong selectivity to the adsorption of nano-meter-sized Pt colloids and PtCl42--bearing ionic solutions. Metallic sulfides, organic matter and clay minerals are the strong adsorbents of PGEs, while quartz, albite, muscovite and other silicate minerals show a week adsorbility to both of them. This phenomenon is well consistent with the geological fact that metallic sulfides, organic matter and clay minerals in the polymetallic layers of the black shale series are the major carrier minerals of PGEs, giving a thorough explanation to the mechanism of enrichment of previous metal elements. Adsorption may be a principal mechanism of enrichment of precious metal elements under lower temperature conditions. The presence of the aforementioned strong adsorbents is the good geochemical barriers for the enrichment of PGEs.

With the increasing demand for high-quality pork,more nutritional substances have been studied for the regulation of meat ***-dimensional fullerenes(C60)can modulate the biological behavior of a variety of cell lines and *** this study,we report the biological effects of C60 on finishing pigs at different concentrations.A total of 24 barrows(Duroc×Large White×Landrace),with an average body weight of 21.01±0.98 kg,were divided into 3 groups and each treated daily with C60(100 or 200 mg per kg feed)or a control diet until the end of the *** results showed that dietary C60 supplementation improved flesh color,marbling scores,and flavor amino acid contents of longissimus dorsi(LD)of growing-finishing pigs(P<0.05).C60 improved meat quality by regulating lipid metabolism and muscle fiber morphology by mediating the expression of genes,L-lactic dehydrogenase(LDH),myosin heavy chain(MyHC)IIa,MyHCIIb,peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ(PPARγ),and fatty acid transport protein 1(FATP1)(P<0.05).Moreover,C60 substantially promoted the mRNA expression of antioxidant enzyme genes(P<0.05),which also contributed to improving meat *** findings have important implications for the application of C60 in the livestock industry,especially for improving the meat quality of fattening pigs.

Accuracy assessment of global vertical displacement loading tide models for the equatorial and Indian Ocean

The three-dimensional displacements caused by ocean loading effects are significant enough to impact spatial geodetic measurements on sub-daily or longer timescales,particularly in the vertical ***,most tide models incorporate the distribution of vertical displacement loading tides;however,their accuracy has not been assessed for the equatorial and Indian Ocean *** Positioning System(GPS)observations provide high-precision data on sea-level changes,enabling the assessment of the accuracy and reliability of vertical displacement tide ***,because the tidal period of the K_(2) constituent is almost identical to the orbital period of GPS constellations,the estimation of the K_(2) tidal constituent from GPS observations is not *** this study,the principle of smoothness is employed to correct the systematic error in K_(2) estimates in GPS observations through quadratic *** the adjusted harmonic constants from 31 GPS stations for the equatorial and Indian Ocean,the accuracy of eight major constituents from five global vertical displacement tide models(FES2014,EOT11a,GOT4.10c,GOT4.8,and NAO.99b)is evaluated for the equatorial and Indian *** results indicate that the EOT11a and FES2014 models exhibit higher accuracy in the vertical displacement tide models for the equatorial and Indian Ocean,with root sum squares errors of 2.29 mm and 2.34 mm,***,a brief analysis of the vertical displacement tide distribution characteristics of the eight major constituents for the equatorial and Indian Ocean was conducted using the EOT11a model.
