The evaluation of handover performance is essential for ensuring seamless user experience under innovative application scenarios in the fifth generation(5G)and beyond era,including autonomous driving,mobile augmented and virtual reality.However,due to the hardware constrains of a sectored multiprobe anechoic chamber(SMPAC),switching among multiple channel models is of low precision with a high cost in traditional over-the-air(OTA)test solutions.In this paper,we present an efficient and repeatable emulation strategy to reconstruct dynamic millimeter-wave(mm Wave)channels in laboratories for multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)mobile devices.Firstly,we propose a novel evaluation metric,called average power angular spectrum similarity percentage(APSP),which minimizes the unexpected impact induced by the indefinite condition of adaptive antenna arrays in mm Wave terminals during handover process.Moreover,we propose a partitioned probe configuration strategy by designing a beam directivitybased switching circuit,which enables quick changes of probe configurations in SMPAC.Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms,thus providing a guideline for the reconstruction of the dynamic channel in different scenarios with resource limitation.

This paper studies the fundamental limit of semantic communications over the discrete memoryless channel.We consider the scenario to send a semantic source consisting of an observation state and its corresponding semantic state,both of which are recovered at the receiver.To derive the performance limitation,we adopt the semantic rate-distortion function(SRDF)to study the relationship among the minimum compression rate,observation distortion,semantic distortion,and channel capacity.For the case with unknown semantic source distribution,while only a set of the source samples is available,we propose a neural-network-based method by leveraging the generative networks to learn the semantic source distribution.Furthermore,for a special case where the semantic state is a deterministic function of the observation,we design a cascade neural network to estimate the SRDF.For the case with perfectly known semantic source distribution,we propose a general Blahut-Arimoto(BA)algorithm to effectively compute the SRDE.Finally,experimental results validate our proposed algorithms for the scenarios with ideal Gaussian semantic source and some practical datasets.

The sixth generation(6G)mobile networks will reshape the world by offering instant,efficient,and intelligent hyper-connectivity,as envisioned by the previously proposed Ubiquitous-X 6G networks.Such hyper-massive and global connectivity will introduce tremendous challenges into the operation and management of 6G networks,calling for revolutionary theories and technological innovations.To this end,we propose a new route to boost network capabilities toward a wisdom-evolutionary and primitive-concise network(WePCN)vision for the Ubiquitous-X 6G network.In particular,we aim to concretize the evolution path toward the WePCN by first conceiving a new semantic representation framework,namely semantic base,and then establishing an intelligent and efficient semantic communication(IE-SC)network architecture.In the IE-SC architecture,a semantic intelligence plane is employed to interconnect the semantic-empowered physical-bearing layer,network protocol layer,and application-intent layer via semantic information flows.The proposed architecture integrates artificial intelligence and network technologies to enable intelligent interactions among various communication objects in 6G.It features a lower bandwidth requirement,less redundancy,and more accurate intent identification.We also present a brief review of recent advances in semantic communications and highlight potential use cases,complemented by a range of open challenges for 6G.

In a multi-user system,system resources should be allocated to different users.In traditional communication systems,system resources generally include time,frequency,space,and power,so multiple access technologies such as time division multiple access(TDMA),frequency division multiple access(FDMA),space division multiple access(SDMA),code division multiple access(CDMA),and non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA)are widely used.In semantic communication,which is considered a new paradigm of the next-generation communication system,we extract high-dimensional features from signal sources in a model-based artificial intelligence approach from a semantic perspective and construct a model information space for signal sources and channel features.From the high-dimensional semantic space,we excavate the shared and personalized information of semantic information and propose a novel multiple access technology,named model division multiple access(MDMA),which is based on the resource of the semantic domain.From the perspective of information theory,we prove that MDMA can attain more performance gains than traditional multiple access technologies.Simulation results show that MDMA saves more bandwidth resources than traditional multiple access technologies,and that MDMA has at least a 5-dB advantage over NOMA in the additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN)channel under the low signal-to-noise(SNR)condition.

Fresh status updates are vital to the efficient operation of network monitoring and real-time control applications. In this paper, we consider a mobile edge computing(MEC)-assisted status update system, where smart devices extract valuable status updates from sensed data to achieve timely awareness of the surroundings by exploiting computational resources at the device and edge server. To quantify the freshness of status updates obtained by executing computation tasks, we employ the concept of age of information(Ao I) to characterize the timeliness of status updates. To cope with the limited energy at devices, we investigate a joint task generation and computation offloading scheme under a given energy budget for minimizing the age of obtained status updates. The age minimization problem is modeled as a constrained Markov decision process(CMDP). To obtain the optimal policy, we derive the structural properties of the optimal deterministic policy and propose a lightweight structure-based status update algorithm in the case of known channel statistics. Moreover, we consider a more realistic scenario without prior knowledge of channel statistics, and propose a Q-learning-based status update algorithm to make online decisions. Simulation results show that the performance of our proposed algorithms is competitive when compared with existing schemes.

Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks(VANETs) require reliable data dissemination for time-sensitive public safety applications. An efficient routing protocol plays a vital role to achieve satisfactory network performance. It is well known that routing is a challenging problem in VANETs due to the fast-changing network typology caused by high mobility at both ends of transmission. Moreover, under urban environment, there are two non-negligible factors in routing protocol design, the non-uniform vehicle distribution caused by traffic lights, and the network congestion due to high traffic demand in rush hours. In this paper, we propose a greedy traffic light and queue aware routing protocol(GTLQR) which jointly considers the street connectivity, channel quality, relative distance, and queuing delay to alleviate the packet loss caused by vehicle clustering at the intersection and balance the traffic load among vehicles. Through performance evaluation, we show that our proposed protocol outperforms both TLRC and GLSR-L in terms of packet delivery ratio and end-to-end delay.

With the evolution of cellular networks,6G is a promising technology to provide ubiquity of communications,computing,control,and consciousness(UC4)for“human⁃machine⁃thing⁃genie”and build a ubiquitous intelligent mobile society.Genie,which can act as the artificial intelligence assistance for 6G users,is the key enabler to realize the unprecedented transformation from mobile Internet to network of intelligence.While Internet of Things(IoT)is the digital nervous system,genie acts like the brain of the overall system.Supported by 6G,IoT will step into the Artificial Intelligence of Things(AIoT)era and the AIoT networks have the abilities of intelligent perception,intelligent analysis,and intelligent control.In this paper,the concept of Ubiquitous⁃X is introduced,which is considered as the fundamental architecture of 6G network,and the definition and architecture of AIoT under Ubiquitous⁃X is also presented.Several major technical challenges posed by the service requirements of novel AIoT applications are pinpointed,including massive and intelligent connectivity,efficient computing,security,privacy,authentication,high scalability and efficiency.Potential enabling technologies to support seamless service experiences across terminals to realize AIoT are introduced as well.

开展基于“受众理论”的思想政治教育研究,既是思想政治教育学科自身发展的必然诉求,也是交叉学科融合发展的必然要求。“受众理论”与思想政治教育在理论上具有内在的契合性、在过程上具有关联的相似性、在特征上具有密切的相连性。“受众理论”可以拓宽思想政治教育的研究视野,增强思想政治教育的价值面向和实践导向。由受众个性所决定的“可说服性”强化思想政治教育的研究对象和传播效果;基于“受众理论”的抽样调查法、内容分析法和控制实验法拓宽思想政治教育研究方法;“意见领袖”机制和“两面信息”机制优化思想政治教育研究机制。与此同时,也要规避“受众理论”在思想政治教育中的技术限度、创新限度和价值限度,实现思想政治教育培养责任意识、引导理想信念、树立高尚品德的目标指向。
