Fulminant myocarditis is an acute diffuse inflammatory disease of myocardium.It is characterized by acute onset,rapid progress and high risk of death.Its pathogenesis involves excessive immune activation of the innate immune system and formation of inflammatory storm.According to China’s practical experience,the adoption of the“life support-based comprehensive treatment regimen”(with mechanical circulation support and immunomodulation therapy as the core)can significantly improve the survival rate and long-term prognosis.Special emphasis is placed on very early identification,very early diagnosis,very early prediction and very early treatment.

This study explored the antibiofilm efficacy of 3,3’-diindolylmethane(DIM)on Staphylococcus aureus and its disinfection on common food-contact surfaces.The minimum biofilm inhibitory concentration(MBIC)of DIM on S.aureus was 62.5μmol/L,while it did not impede the bacterial growth evaluated by growth curve and XTT reduction assay.DIM in the concentration range of 31.2-62.5μmol/L demonstrated a dose-dependent antibiofilm activity to S.aureus,as confirmed by light microscopic(LM),confocal laser scanning microscopic(CLSM),and scanning electron microscopic(SEM)analyses.At DIM of62.5μmol/L,the biomass of S.aureus biofilm was significantly reduced by 97%and its average thickness by 58%(P<0.05).DIM of 62.5μmol/L inhibited the bacterial initial adhesion and proliferation,as well as cell motility;the release of extracellular DNA(eDNA)and extracellular polysaccharide(EPS)were reduced by 75%and 69%,respectively.DIM exhibited a strong inhibition to S.aureus biofilm formation on common food-contact surfaces,including 304 stainless steel,glass,and polyvinyl chloride(PVC)but not disperse the mature biofilm.Overall,our investigation identified DIM as a promising antibiofilm agent and its suitability to prevent the biofilm formation of S.aureus on common food-contact surfaces utilized during food processing.

The role of PM_(2.5)(particles with aerodynamic diameters≤_(2.5)μm)deposition in air quality changes over China remains unclear.By using the three-year(2013,2015,and 2017)simulation results of the WRF/CUACE v1.0 model from a previous work(Zhang et al.,2021),a non-linear relationship between the deposition of PM_(2.5)and anthropogenic emissions over central-eastern China in cold seasons as well as in different life stages of haze events was unraveled.PM_(2.5)deposition is spatially distributed differently from PM_(2.5)concentrations and anthropogenic emissions over China.The North China Plain(NCP)is typically characterized by higher anthropogenic emissions compared to southern China,such as the middlelow reaches of Yangtze River(MLYR),which includes parts of the Yangtze River Delta and the Midwest.However,PM_(2.5)deposition in the NCP is significantly lower than that in the MLYR region,suggesting that in addition to meteorology and emissions,lower deposition is another important factor in the increase in haze levels.Regional transport of pollution in central-eastern China acts as a moderator of pollution levels in different regions,for example by bringing pollution from the NCP to the MLYR region in cold seasons.It was found that in typical haze events the deposition flux of PM_(2.5)during the removal stages is substantially higher than that in accumulation stages,with most of the PM_(2.5)being transported southward and deposited to the MLYR and Sichuan Basin region,corresponding to a latitude range of about 24°N-31°N.

A New Quantitative Method for Studying the Vulnerability of Civil Aviation Network System to Spatially Localized Hazards

As an important infrastructure system, civil aviation network system can be severely affected by natural hazards. Although a natural hazard is usually local, its impact, through the network topology, can become global.Inspired by Wilkinson's work in 2012, this article proposes a new quantitative spatial vulnerability model for network systems, which emphasizes the spreading impact of spatially localized hazards on these systems. This model considers hazard location and area covered by a hazard,and spatially spreading impact of the hazard(including direct impact and indirect impact through network topology) and proposes an absolute spatial vulnerability index and a relative spatial vulnerability index to reflect the vulnerability of a network system to local hazards. The model is then applied to study the spatial vulnerability of the Chinese civil aviation network system. The simulation results show that(1) the proposed model is effective and useful to study spatial vulnerability of civil aviation network systems as the results well explain the general situation of the Chinese civil aviation system; and(2) the Chinese civil aviation network system is highly vulnerable to local hazards when indirect impacts through network connections are considered.

A Long-wavelength Emissive Phenothiazine Derived Fluorescent Probe for Detecting HOCI Upregulation in 5-FU Stimulated Living Cells

The endogenous hypochlorous acid(HOCI) has been evidenced in a variety of cellular courses. However, the role of HOCI in most pathophysiological processes still keeps unclear because of the limited detecting tools. In this work, we presented the pre- paration of a phenothiazine-derived fluorescent probe CIO-1 for HOCI detection with a cyanopyridinium moiety to improve its water solubility and lengthen its emission wavelength. The HOCI-promoted oxidation of sulfur atom in the probe resulted in a 460-fold emission intensity enhancement at 635 nm with high selectivity and sensitivity(detection limit: 1.12 nmol/L). The rapid response(5 s) also endowed the probe with real-time detection ability. Successfully, CIO-1 was devoted to the bioimaging of endogenous HOCI in inflamed RAW 264.7 cells and 5-fluorouracil-treated MCF-7 cells.

住院医师规范化培训(简称:住培)是继续医学教育的重要组成部分。针对非口腔病理专业住培的住院医师在病理科轮转中存在病理知识薄弱、积极性不高、轮转时间短、任务重等问题,进行如下教改:首先,引入思政教育内容及加强临床案例入科教育建设,激发住院医师的学习兴趣;其次,建立住培病例库并应用以案例为基础的教学法(case-basedlearning,CBL)替代传统的显微镜阅片学习,使病理理论学习变得更加高效、便捷;再者,根据入科考核成绩的高低、学生的学历及轮转轨道不同采取分层分级的教学模式,根据病种的诊断难度制订难度递进的学习计划,使住院医师在有限的时间内掌握口腔颌面部常见疾病的病理诊断;最后,住院医师通过观看病理科日常工作流程及取材视频,以及扫描浏览多媒体翻页等多种多媒体辅助教学手段,以引发学习兴趣,缓解师资压力,提高教学质量。

Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)is a highly contagious disease and a serious threat to human health.COVID-19 can cause multiple organ dysfunction,such as respiratory and circulatory failure,liver and kidney injury,disseminated intravascular coagulation,and thromboembolism,and even death.The World Health Organization reports that the mortality rate of severe-type COVID-19 is over 50%.Currently,the number of severe cases worldwide has increased rapidly,but the experience in the treatment of infected patients is still limited.Given the lack of specific antiviral drugs,multi-organ function support treatment is important for patients with COVID-19.To improve the cure rate and reduce the mortality of patients with severe-and critical-type COVID-19,this paper summarizes the experience of organ function support in patients with severe-and criticaltype COVID-19 in Optical Valley Branch of Tongji Hospital,Wuhan,China.This paper systematically summarizes the procedures of functional support therapies for multiple organs and systems,including respiratory,circulatory,renal,hepatic,and hematological systems,among patients with severe-and critical-type COVID-19.This paper provides a clinical reference and a new strategy for the optimal treatment of COVID-19 worldwide.

基于ROSE2.0的普洱地区CINRAD/CC雷达冰雹探测算法评估及参数本地化

为提高冰雹探测算法(Hail Detection Algorithm, HDA)产品的可用性,针对2015—2020年普洱地区监测到的22次冰雹个例,利用新一代雷达业务应用软件ROSE2.0对相关雷达基数据进行回放及产品分析,以命中率、虚警率、临界成功指数为指标对HDA算法在普洱地区的识别效果进行评估并给出本地化参数配置方案。结果表明:HDA算法在普洱地区命中率接近100%,但虚警现象非常普遍,使用强冰雹概率(Probability of Severe Hail, POSH)的预警效果优于任意大小冰雹概率(Probability of Hail, POH),且冰雹尺寸越大POSH虚警的概率越低。进一步使用模拟测评法对POSH算法的适配参数进行分析,发现正确输入降雹日当天的0℃层和-20℃层高度能有效减少POSH的虚警率及提高临界成功指数;同时使算法预测的最大冰雹直径普遍偏大的情况得到控制,其中,中小冰雹直径偏离百分比减小76.07%,改善效果显著高于大冰雹。此外,增大反射率因子及POSH阈值能有效控制虚警,但也导致漏报次数快速增加,当阈值太大时命中率明显降低,为了保证较高的命中率和临界成功指数,选择Z=50 dBz或POSH=70%为阈值能明显改善HDA算法的识别效果。
