Changes in Calcareous Nannofossil Assemblages and Paleoenvironmental Interpretation of the Early Miocene Lice Formation, Kahramanmara? Basin, Turkey, East Mediterranean

This study investigated the calcareous nannofossil assemblages in detail from the early Miocene aged Lice Formation outcropping in the Kahramanmara? basin. The biostratigraphy of calcareous nannofossils was outlined and paleoenvironmental features determined. In 81 samples taken from three measured sections in the region, 17 calcareous nannofossil genus and 48 nannofossil species were identified. These calcareous nannofossil genus and species identified the Lice Formation as being in the CNM4 nannofossil biozone. The abundance and diversity of early Miocene calcareous nannofossil species varied in the measured sections, with the samples generally moderate-poor, apart from a few samples. The relative abundance of individuals of Cyclicargolithus floridanus, Coccolithus pelagicus, Reticulofenestra hagii and Sphenolithus moriformis species, with paleoecological importance identified in the study region, indicate that in early Miocene times, the basin in which the Lice Formation deposited was meso-eutrophic with excess nutrient input, temperate and generally stable shallow marine conditions.

The earth-abundant and robust aluminum ferrite,AlFeO_(3)(AFO),is mainly studied in the context of ***,we demonstrate that AFO can be used as a stable solar absorber in photoelectrochemical cells for solar water splitting,exhibiting attractive *** is the first report on the photoelectrochemical activity of *** thin-film photoelectrodes prepared by solution-processing methods are composed of vertically oriented thin nanosheets,featuring the rhombohedral symmetry(R3c)and n-type *** as-prepared AFO photoanodes generate a photocurrent density of+0.78 mA·cm^(-2) at 1.23 V *** hydrogen electrode(RHE)with the photocurrent _(onset) potential(u_(onset))close to the flat band potential of 0.5 V *** in the presence of hole ***,the u_(onset) of AFO for solar water splitting coincides with the flat band potential as well,which is rare in n-type inorganic *** also report other properties of AFO associated with photoelectrochemical *** films exhibit a band gap energy of 2.31 eV and positive band edges with low ***,the carrier lifetimes in AFO films are up to millisecond timescales under the mediation of defect *** on the photoelectrochemical behavior and optoelectronic properties,we believe that AFO has great potential for application in photoelectrochemical cells.

One-dimensional carbon nanotube(CNT)exhibits excellent mechanical properties and is considered to be an ideal candidate material for the space ***,subtle changes in its chirality strongly affect its physical and chemical properties,including mechanical properties(such as Young's modulus,YM).Theoretical studies reveal that the YMs of perfect single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)are in the order of TPa and related to their ***,due to the lack of SWCNTs samples with well-defined structures and the difficulties in mechanical tests on individual SWCNTs,the theoretical correlations between YM and structure of SWCNTs have not been verified and are still in debate,which directly influences the practical utilization of the excellent mechanical properties of *** this work,we have developed an experimental method to measure the YM of an individual micrometer-scale suspended CNT by atomic force microscopy.A distinct regularity is found between the YM and chirality(i.e.,chiral angle and diameter)of SWCNT in the experiment for the first *** comparing the YMs of SWCNTs with similar diameters and different chiral angles,it manifests that the SWCNT with a near zigzag configuration has a larger *** finding suggests that the effect of SWCNT’s structures on the YMs cannot be *** developed method of measuring YMs of SWCNTs will be valuable for further experimental research on the inherent physical and chemical properties of SWCNTs.

The Weining Beishan area of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is located at on the western edge of the Helanshan tectonic belt,which is a tectonic joint among Alxa Block,Ordos Block,and North Qilian orogenic ***,the tectonic evolution of this area remains unclear due to the lack of magmatic *** paper conducted researches on geochronology,geochemistry,and Sr-Nd-Hf isotopes of the diorite porphyrites exposed in the Weining Beishan *** zircon u-Pb dating yields two ages of 145.0±1.1 and 146.2±1.5 Ma,and the whole-rock geochemical data indicate that the diorite porphyrites are metaluminous to weakly peraluminous and high-K calc-alkaline *** characteristics of highly initial^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr ratios(0.70816 to 0.71047),negativeε_(Nd)(t)(−8.9 to−8.4),and negativeε_(Hf)(t)(−13.8 to−21.2)indicate that the diorite porphyrites originated from partial melting of the middle-lower ancient crust related to the North China *** with the regional geology,we suggested that partial melting was triggered by a tectonic activity of deep faults cutting through the crust under the regional stress transformation from compressing to extension during the Late Jurassic–Early Cretaceous,which is probably related to the westward subduction of the Paleo-Pacific Plate.

Metal–organic gel(MOG)derived composites are promising multi-functional materials due to their alterable composition,identifiable chemical homogeneity,tunable shape,and porous ***,stable metal–organic hydrogels are prepared by regulating the complexation effect,solution polarity and curing ***,collagen peptide is used to facilitate the fabrication of a porous aerogel with excellent physical properties as well as the homogeneous dispersion of magnetic particles during ***,two kinds of heterometallic magnetic coupling systems are obtained through the application of Kirkendall ***/nitrogen-doped carbon(NC)aerogel demonstrates an ultra-strong microwave absorption of−85 dB at an ultra-low loading of 5%.After reducing the time taken by atom shifting,a FeCo/Fe3O4/NC aerogel containing virus-shaped particles is obtained,which achieves an ultra-broad absorption of 7.44 GHz at an ultra-thin thickness of 1.59 mm due to the coupling effect offered by dual-soft-magnetic ***,both aerogels show excellent thermal insulation property,and their outstanding radar stealth performances in J-20 aircraft are confirmed by computer simulation *** formation mechanism of MOG is also discussed along with the thermal insulation and electromagnetic wave absorption mechanism of the aerogels,which will enable the development and application of novel and lightweight stealth coatings.

Hexavalent chromium and its compounds are prevalent pollutants,especially in the work environment,pose a significant risk for multisystem toxicity and *** it is known that chromium accumulation in the liver can cause damage,the dose-response relationship between blood chromium(Cr)and liver injury,as well as the possible potential toxic mechanisms involved,remains poorly *** address this,we conducted a follow-up study of 590 visits from 305 participants to investigate the associations of blood Cr with biomarkers for liver injury,including serum alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),total bilirubin(TBIL),and direct bilirubin(DBIL),and to evaluate the mediating effects of systemic ***(PLT)and the platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio(PLR)were utilized as biomarkers of systemic *** the linear mixed-effects analyses,each 1-unit increase in blood Cr level was associated with estimated effect percentage increases of 0.82%(0.11%,1.53%)in TBIL,1.67%(0.06%,3.28%)in DBIL,0.73%(0.04%,1.43%)in ALT and 2.08%(0.29%,3.87%)in AST,***,PLT mediated 10.04%,11.35%,and 10.77%increases in TBIL,DBIL,and ALT levels induced by chromate,*** addition,PLR mediated 8.26%and 15.58%of the association between blood Cr and TBIL or *** findings shed light on the mechanisms underlying blood Cr-induced liver injury,which is partly due to worsening systemic inflammation.

Graph Convolutional Neural Networks(GCNs)have been widely used in various fields due to their powerful capabilities in processing graph-structured ***,GCNs encounter significant challenges when applied to scale-free graphs with power-law distributions,resulting in substantial ***,most of the existing GCN models are shallow structures,which restricts their ability to capture dependencies among distant nodes and more refined high-order node features in scale-free graphs with hierarchical *** more broadly and precisely apply GCNs to real-world graphs exhibiting scale-free or hierarchical structures and utilize multi-level aggregation of GCNs for capturing high-level information in local representations,we propose the Hyperbolic Deep Graph Convolutional Neural Network(HDGCNN),an end-to-end deep graph representation learning framework that can map scale-free graphs from Euclidean space to hyperbolic *** HDGCNN,we define the fundamental operations of deep graph convolutional neural networks in hyperbolic ***,we introduce a hyperbolic feature transformation method based on identity mapping and a dense connection scheme based on a novel non-local message passing *** addition,we present a neighborhood aggregation method that combines initial structural featureswith hyperbolic attention *** the above methods,HDGCNN effectively leverages both the structural features and node features of graph data,enabling enhanced exploration of non-local structural features and more refined node features in scale-free or hierarchical *** results demonstrate that HDGCNN achieves remarkable performance improvements over state-ofthe-art GCNs in node classification and link prediction tasks,even when utilizing low-dimensional embedding ***,when compared to shallow hyperbolic graph convolutional neural network models,HDGCNN exhibits notable advantages and performance enhanceme

Ginsenoside Rb3 (GRb3) is an active ingredient extracted from Panax ginseng， which is known to enhance blood supply to heart and treat a variety of cardiac diseases. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of GRb3 on myocardial injury induced by sleep deprivation and its mechanisms. GRb3 20 mg/kg group showed lower heart rate (438.2 ± 10.06 bpm)， Creatine kinase (27.43 ± 2.85 u / mg prot) and Lactate dehydrogenase (412.9 ± 35.65 u / L) than SD group (592.0 ± 7.78 bpm， 44.18 ± 1.24 u / mg prot， 526.6 ± 38.18 u / L). GRb3 improved myocardial tissue damage and abnormal mitochondrial morphological changes. GRb3 also reduced the abnormal proteins expression of Atrial Natriuretic Peptide (ANP)， Sirtuin3 (SIRT3)， Tumor Protein P53 (P53)， Solute Carrier Family 7 (SLC7A11)， Glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4)， Transferrin Receptor Protein 1 (TFRC)， Acyl-CoA synthetase long chain family member 4 (ACSL4)， Heme Oxygenase-1 (HO-1)， Ferritin heavy polypeptide 1 (FTH1)， Ferroptosis suppressor protein 1 (FSP1). GRb3 ameliorated oxidative stress， such as Malondialdehyde (MDA，)， Glutathione (GSH)， and Superoxide dismutase (SOD). GRb3 also decreased Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) content， restored cellular abnormal mitochondrial morphology and reversed the expression of ferroptosis-related proteins on H9c2 cells pretreated with Erastin. While the above effect could be reversed by 3-TYP. In summary， GRb3 exerts cardioprotective effects by regulating SIRT3/P53/SCL7A11/GPX4 axis to inhibit myocardial ferroptosis in sleep deprived mice. The findings imply that GRb3 holds promising potential for innovative approaches to safeguarding human cardiac health.
