Effective removal of emerging contaminants(ECs)to minimize their impacts on human health and the natural environment is a global *** the removal of ECs in water,we fabricated a seaweed spherical microsphere catalyst with Cu cation-πstructures by in situ doping of Cu species and ascorbic acid in mesoporous silica(Cu-C-MSNs)via a hydrothermal *** results indicate that bisphenol A(BPA)is substantially degraded within 5 min under natural conditions,with its biological toxicity considerably ***,industrial wastewater could also be effectively purified by Cu-C-MSNs/H_(2)O_(2) *** presence of metal sites and the complexation of ECs via cation-πinteraction andπ-πstacking on the catalyst surface were directly responsible for the polarization distribution of electrons,thus activating H_(2)O_(2) and dissolved oxygen(DO).The removal of contaminants could be attributed primarily to 1)the activation of H_(2)O_(2) into ^(·)OH to attack the contaminants and 2)self-cleavage because of the transfer of electrons from the contaminants to the *** study provides an innovative solution for the effective treatment of ECs and has positive implications for easing global environmental crises.

This study proposes an effective method to enhance the accuracy of the Differential Quadrature Method(DQM)for calculating the dynamic characteristics of functionally graded beams by improving the form of discrete node ***,based on the first-order shear deformation theory,the governing equation of free vibration of a functionally graded beam is transformed into the eigenvalue problem of ordinary differential equations with respect to beam axial displacement,transverse displacement,and cross-sectional rotation angle by considering the effects of shear deformation and rotational inertia of the beam ***,ignoring the shear deformation of the beam section and only considering the effect of the rotational inertia of the section,the governing equation of the beam is transformed into the eigenvalue problem of ordinary differential equations with respect to beam transverse *** on the differential quadrature method theory,the eigenvalue problem of ordinary differential equations is transformed into the eigenvalue problem of standard generalized algebraic ***,the first several natural frequencies of the beam can be *** feasibility and accuracy of the improved DQM are verified using the finite element method(FEM)and combined with the results of relevant literature.

Solid-state batteries are commonly acknowledged as the forthcoming evolution in energy storage *** development progress for these rechargeable batteries has notably accelerated their trajectory toward achieving commercial *** particular,all-solid-state lithium-sulfur batteries(ASSLSBs)that rely on lithium-sulfur reversible redox processes exhibit immense potential as an energy storage system,surpassing conventional lithium-ion *** can be attributed predominantly to their exceptional energy density,extended operational lifespan,and heightened safety *** these advantages,the adoption of ASSLSBs in the commercial sector has been *** expedite research and development in this particular area,this article provides a thorough review of the current state of *** delve into an in-depth analysis of the rationale behind transitioning to ASSLSBs,explore the fundamental scientific principles involved,and provide a comprehensive evaluation of the main challenges faced by *** suggest that future research in this field should prioritize plummeting the presence of inactive substances,adopting electrodes with optimum performance,minimizing interfacial resistance,and designing a scalable fabrication approach to facilitate the commercialization of ASSLSBs.

Graphene reinforced magnesium matrix composites have wide applications in automotive,electronics,aerospace and military fields due to the fascinating mechanical ***,it is difficult to realize the high strength and ductility *** this work,the in situ liquid-state method was utilized to prepare GNPs/Mg6Zn composites via CO_(2)/Mg chemical *** strength of the GNPs/Mg6Zn composites was improved with increasing content of the ***,the composites also exhibit a notable plastic deformation stage,and especially the ductility of 0.12 GNPs/Mg6Zn composites reaches 27.6%.Therefore,this novel preparation method has great potential application for fabricating Mg matrix composites with high strength and high ductility.

Purpose:The disseminating of academic knowledge to nonacademic audiences partly relies on the transition of subsequent citing *** study aims to investigate direct and indirect impact on technology and policy originating from transformative research based on ego citation ***/methodology/approach:Key Nobel Prize-winning publications(NPs)in fields of gene engineering and astrophysics are regarded as a proxy for transformative *** this contribution,we introduce a network-structural indicator of citing patents to measure technological impact of a target article and use policy citations as a preliminary tool for policy ***:The results show that the impact on technology and policy of NPs are higher than that of their subsequent citation generations in gene engineering but not in *** limitations:The selection of Nobel Prizes is not balanced and the database used in this study,Dimensions,suffers from incompleteness and inaccuracy of citation *** implications:Our findings provide useful clues to better understand the characteristics of transformative research in technological and policy ***/value:This study proposes a new framework to explore the direct and indirect impact on technology and policy originating from transformative research.

The adaptive fusion estimation problem was studied for the multi-sensor nonlinear under-observed systems with multiplicative noise. A one-step predictor with state update equations was designed for the virtual state with virtual noise first of all. An extended incremental Kalman filter(EIKF) was then proposed for the nonlinear under-observed systems. Furthermore, an adaptive filtering method was given for optimization. The fusion adaptive incremental Kalman filter weighted by scalar was finally proposed. The comparison analysis was made to verify the optimization of the state estimation using adaptive filtering method in the filtering process.

Three-dimensional(3D)roughness of discontinuity affects the quality of the rock mass,but 3D roughness is hard to be measured due to that the discontinuity is invisible in the ***-dimensional(2D)roughness can be calculated from the visible traces,but it is difficult to obtain enough quantity of the traces to directly derive 3D roughness during the tunnel *** this study,a new method using Bayesian theory is proposed to derive 3D roughness from the low quantity of 2D roughness *** more accurately calculating 3D roughness,a new regression formula of 2D roughness is established firstly based on wavelet *** new JRC3D prediction model based on Bayesian theory is then developed,and Markov chain Monte Carlo(MCMC)sampling is adopted to process JRC3D prediction *** discontinuity sample collected from the literature is used to verify the proposed *** groups with the sampling size of 2,3,4,and 5 of each group are randomly sampled from JRC2D values of 170 profiles of the discontinuity,*** research results indicate that 100%,90%,85%,and 60%predicting JRC3D of the sample groups corresponding to the sampling size of 5,4,3,and 2 fall into the tolerance interval[JRC_(true)–1,JRC_(true)+1].It is validated that the sampling size of 5 is enough for predicting *** sensitivities of sampling results are then analyzed on the influencing factors,which are the correlation function,the prior distribution,and the prior *** discontinuity across the excavation face at ZK78+67.5 of Daxiagu tunnel is taken as the tunnel engineering application,and the results further verify that the predicting JRC3D with the sampling size of 5 is generally in good agreement with JRC3D true values.

Early growth response protein 1(Egr-1)triggers the transcription of many genes involved in cell growth,differentiation,synaptic plasticity,and ***,its mechanism in neuronal survival and degeneration is still poorly *** study demonstrated that Egr-1 was down-regulated at mRNA and protein levels in the central nervous system(CNS)of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE)***-1 knockout exacerbated EAE progression in mice,as shown by increased disease severity and incidence;it also aggravated neuronal apoptosis,which was associated with weakened activation of the BDNF/TGFβ1/MAPK/Akt signaling pathways in the CNS of EAE ***,Egr-1 siRNA promoted apoptosis but mitigated the activation of BDNF/TGFβ1/MAPK/Akt signaling in SH-SY5Y *** results revealed that Egr-1 is a crucial regulator of neuronal survival in EAE by regulating TGFβ1-mediated signaling activation,implicating the important role of Egr-1 in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis as a potential novel therapy target.

The East Zhejiang Canal is an artificial waterway located in the plains of East *** of its role in providing social services,it is frequently subjected to human activities affecting its *** improve the water resource management and condition of this canal,assessment of its ecological health is *** measured water quality variables and benthic diatom and macroinvertebrate assemblages to evaluate the ecological status of the *** found that the canal was eutrophic with an average chemical trophic level index of 64.3 and an average trophic diatom index of 68.1(with Nitzschia palea,Melosira varians,and Navicula rostellata,Encyonema minutum abundant).Macroinvertebrate assemblages also showed that the canal was eutrophic based on the dominance of Limnodrilus sp.A low BMWP(Biological Monitoring Working Party)score further indicated the poor water quality of the *** analysis indicated that phosphorus was the main driver of eutrophication in the ***,more attention should be paid to reduce phosphorus loadings.
