Stable and unique graphitic Raman internal standard nanocapsules for surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy quantitative analysis

Graphitic nanomaterials have unique, strong, and stable Raman vibrations that have been widely applied in chemistry and biomedicine. However, utilizing them as internal standards （ISs） to improve the accuracy of surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy （SERS） analysis has not been attempted. Herein, we report the design of a unique IS nanostructure consisting of a large number of gold nanoparticles （AuNPs） decorated on multilayered graphitic magnetic nanocapsules （AGNs） to quantify the analyte and eliminate the problems associated with traditional ISs. The AGNs demonstrated a unique Raman band from the graphitic component, which was localized in the Raman silent region of the biomolecules, making them an ideal IS for quantitative Raman analysis without any background interference. The IS signal from the AGNs also indicated superior stability, even under harsh conditions. With the enhancement of the decorated AuNPs, the AGN nanostructures greatly improved the quantitative accuracy of SERS, in particular the exclusion of quantitative errors resulting from collection loss and non-uniform distribution of the analytes. The AGNs were further utilized for cell staining and Raman imaging, and they showed great promise for applications in biomedicine.

Fabrication of superstable gold nanorod-carbon nanocapsule as a molecule loading material

In this work, we fabricated a monodisperse nanocomposite by coating gold nanorods （AuNRs） with a layer of biocompatible, stable carbon, obtaining AuNR@Carbon core-shell nanocapsules, which without any functionalization could be used as a molecule loading material due to its high surface areas. In this system, the AuNR core had a high-absorption cross section for con- version of near-infrared light to heat, which could be ex- plored for local hyperthermia. The carbon shell, which was biocompatible and stable even under concentrated acidic and alkaline conditions, was able to adsorb molecules with n-n interactions or electrostatic interactions. In comparison with AuNR@SiO2, AuNR@Carbon nanocapsules demon- strate the following merits：（1） simple and green synthesis method, （2） far more stable with respect to high-tem- perature stability and （3） larger molecule loading capacity, which indicate great potential in the biomedical applications.

Development of a Detection Method for Assaying Calf Intestine Alkaline Phosphatase Activity

[ Objective] This study was to develop a detection method for assaying calf intestine alkaline phasphatase activity in scientific research. [ Method ] By simulating the conditions and buffers for assaying calf intestine alkaline phosphatase used in the scientific research, the parameters influencing substmte concentration, reaction duration, eoloration time and buffer pH were optimized. [ Result] The activity of alkaline phosphatase detected varied hugely among different buffers, and potassium ferricyanide solution added with boracic acid achieved the stable coloration. The optimal water bath time was determined as 10 rain, and the substrate concentration was optimized as 0.04 moL/L. The increasing temperature did not have a large influence on low temperature enzymatic activity while did on high coneentration enzymatic activity. When the buffer pH was 7.0 - 8.0, the detection stability of alkaline phosphatase could be maintained well The ion intensity of buff- er had little effects on alkaline phasphatase activity. [ Conclusion] A detection method for assaying calf intestine alkaline phosphatase activity in scientific research was successfully developed in this study.

Perovskite-related materials have received much attention due to their applications in solar cells and information *** contrast,the properties of antperovskite compounds are less *** we synthesized a new antiperovskite halide Cs FeI that belongs to the I4/mcm space *** magnetic properties of the three compounds Cs FeX(X = Cl,Br,I) were *** FeCl shows paramagnetic behavior,with an effective magnetic moment μ =5.095 μ/*** FeBr and Cs FeI show dominating paramagnetic behavior as well as some ferromagnetic *** interaction can be enhanced by the electron delocalization of halide *** electronic band structures of the three compounds are calculated with first principles theory.

Iron-based superconductor family FeX(X=S,Se,Te)has been one of the research foci in physics and material science due to their record-breaking superconducting temperature(FeSe film)and rich physical ***,FeS,the least studied Fe X compound(due to the difficulty in synthesizing high quality macroscopic crystals)attracted much attention because of its puzzling superconducting pairing *** this work,combining scanning tunneling microscopy and angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy(ARPES)with sub-micron spatial resolution,we investigate the intrinsic electronic structures of superconducting FeS from individual single crystalline *** FeTe or FeSe,FeS remains identical tetragonal structure from room temperature down to 5 K,and the band structures observed can be well reproduced by our ab-initio ***,mixed with the 1×1 tetragonal metallic phase,we also observe the coexistence of √5×√5 reconstructed insulating phase in the crystal,which not only helps explain the unusual properties of FeS,but also demonstrates the importance of using spatially resolved experimental tools in the study of this compound.

Power Flow Analytical Solutions and Multi-dimensional Voltage Stability Boundaries Based on Multivariate Quotient-difference Method

This paper proposes a novel Multivariate Quotient-Difference(MQD)method to obtain the approximate analytical solution for AC power flow ***,in the online environment,the power flow solutions covering different operating conditions can be directly obtained by plugging values into multiple symbolic variables,such that the power injections and consumptions of selected buses or areas can be independently *** method first derives a power flow solution through a Multivariate Power Series(MPS).Next,the MQD method is applied to transform the obtained MPS to a Multivariate Pad´e Approximants(MPA)to expand the Radius of Convergence(ROC),so that the accuracy of the derived analytical solution can be significantly *** addition,the hypersurface of the voltage stability boundary can be identified by an analytical formula obtained from the coefficients of *** direct method for power flow solutions and voltage stability boundaries is fast for many online applications,since such analytical solutions can be derived offline and evaluated online by only plugging values into the symbolic variables according to the actual operating *** proposed method is validated in detail on New England 39-bus and IEEE 118-bus systems with independent load variations in multi-regions.

Remote sensing image encryption algorithm utilizing 2D Logistic memristive hyperchaotic map and SHA-512

The two-dimensional Logistic memristive hyperchaotic map(2D-LMHM)and the secure hash SHA-512 are the foundations of the unique remote sensing image encryption algorithm(RS-IEA)suggested in this *** proposed map is formed from the improved Logistic map and the memristor,which has wide phase space and hyperchaotic range and is exceptionally excellent to be utilized in specific *** proposed image algorithm uses the permutation-assignment-diffusion *** generates two position matrices in a progressive manner to achieve an efficient random exchange of pixel positions,assignment is carried through on the image pixels of the permutated image to entirely remove the original image information,strengthening the relationship between permutation and diffusion,and loop diffusion in two different directions can use subtle changes of pixels to affect the whole *** random key and plain-image SHA-512 hash values are used to produce an additional key,which is then utilized to figure out the permutation parameters and the initial value of a chaotic *** experimental results with the average NPCR=99.6094%(NPCR:number of pixels change rate),average UACI=33.4638%(UACI:unified average changing intensity),100%pass rate of the targets in the test set,the average correlation coefficient is 0.00075,and the local information entropy is 7.9025,which shows that the algorithm is able to defend against a variety of illegal attacks and provide more trustworthy protection than some of the existing state-of-the-art algorithms.

Supercoiled DNA Minicircles under Double-strand Breaks

Understanding how supercoiled DNA releases intramolecular stress is essential for its functional ***,the molecular mechanism underlying the relaxation process remains insufficiently *** we employed MD simulations based on the oxDNA2 model to investigate the relaxation process of a 336-base pair supercoiled minicircular DNA under double-strand breaks with two fixed *** simulations show that the conformational changes in the DNA occur continuously,with intramolecular stress release happening abruptly only when the DNA chain traverses the breakage *** relaxation process is influenced not only by the separation distance between the fixed ends but also their ***,we observe an inhibitory effect on the relaxation characterized by small angles,where short terminal loops impede DNA conformational adjustments,preserving the supercoiled *** findings elucidate the intricate interplay between DNA conformational change,DNA motion and intramolecular stress release,shedding light on the mechanisms governing the relaxation of supercoiled DNA at the molecular level.

Interference-induced suppression of particle emission from a Bose-Einstein condensate in lattice with time-periodic modulations

Emission of matter-wave jets from a parametrically driven condensate has attracted significant experimental and theoretical attention due to the appealing visual effects and potential metrological *** this work,we investigate the collective particle emission from a Bose-Einstein condensate confined in a one-dimensional lattice with periodically modulated interparticle *** give the regimes for discrete modes,and find that the emission can be distinctly *** configuration induces a broad band,but few particles are ejected due to the interference of the matter *** further qualitatively model the emission process and demonstrate the short-time *** engineering provides a way to manipulate the propagation of particles and the corresponding dynamics of condensates in lattices,and may find application in the dynamical excitation control of other nonequilibrium problems with time-periodic driving.
