Research and Exploration of Ideological and Political Education in the Course of Pathophysiology

Course based ideological and political education (CIPE) is an important way to improve the quality of ideological and political work and talent cultivation. This study explores for the first time the implementation of ideological and political education in the teaching of pathophysiology courses, and also analyzes the evaluation of student psychological status and the importance of mental health education in the implementation of IPE courses. A survey was conducted on 211 students at Yangtze University to understand their motivation and behavior towards learning ideological, political, and pathophysiological courses. In addition, a questionnaire survey was used to explore the relationship between pathophysiology and ideological and political courses, as well as the importance of their satisfaction with the implementation of ideological and political courses in pathophysiology and mental health education. The research results indicate that factors such as educational background and gender differences affect the learning of CIPE. Graduate students are more interested in ideological and political courses, while female students find it difficult to study pathophysiology;In addition, the results of one-way ANOVA indicate that the implementation effect of IPE in pathophysiology courses depends on the level of interest in IPE and pathophysiology courses, the level of consideration for the importance of professional courses, the professional gains after studying pathophysiology, and the level of understanding of the relationship between IPE and CIPE. 81.04% of students believe that in the CIPE process, telling stories by teachers themselves is the most popular way of communication and education. This reflects the importance of mental health education from the perspective of CIPE. In addition, this study also indicates that PBL and flipped classroom teaching models are popular teaching models in CIPE. This study is beneficial for promoting the improvement and implementation

Heavy metal concentrations of agricultural soils and vegetables from Dongguan, Guangdong

A total of 118 of agricultural soil and 43 of vegetable samples were collected from Dongguan City, Guangdong, China. The spatial distribution, sources, accumulation characteristics and potential risk of heavy metals in the agricultural soils and vegetables were depicted in details by three different approaches, including total contents of eight metal elements in soils and vegetables, GIS maps and multivariate analysis of heavy metals in soils in the study. The results show that there are higher accumulation of heavy metals such as Cu, Zn, Ni, Pb, Cd and Hg in agricultural soils, and the contents of Pb （65.38 mg kg^-1） and Hg （0.24 mg kg^-1） are 1.82 and 2.82 times of the background contents of the corresponding heavy metals in soils of Guangdong Province, respectively. There are about 3.4% of Cu, 5.9% of Ni, 1.7% of Cd and 28% of Hg in all collected soil samples from all investigated sites which have overran the contents for heavy metals of the China Environmental Quality Standard for Soils （GB15618-1995, Grade Ⅱ）. The pollution characteristics of multi-metals in soils are mainly reflected by Hg. There are different sources to eight metal elements in soils, Cu, Zn, Ni Cr and As are predominantly derived from parent materials, and Pb, Hg and Cd are affected by anthropogenic activities. The spatial distribution shows that the Cu, Zn, Ni, Cr, Pb, As and Hg contents of agricultural soils are high in the west and low in the east, and Cd contents are high in the northwest, southeast and low in the southwest in Dongguan. The ratios of vegetable samples which Ni, Pb and As concentrations higher than the Maximum Levels of Contaminants in Foods （GB2762-2005） are 4.7%, 16.3% and 48.8%, respectively. The order of bio-concentration factors （BCF） of heavy metals in vegetables is Cd 〉 Zn 〉 Cu 〉 As 〉 Ni 〉 Hg 〉 Cr 〉 Pb. Cardiac fibroblasts(CFs)are the primary cells tasked with depositing and remodeling collagen and significantly associated with heart failure(HF).TEAD1 has been shown to be essential for heart development and ***,fibroblast endogenous TEAD1 in cardiac remodeling remains incompletely *** analyses revealed consistently upregulated cardiac TEAD1 expression in mice 4 weeks after transverse aortic constriction(TAC)and Ang-l *** investigation revealed that CFs were the primary cell type expressing elevated TEAD1 levels in response to pressure *** TEAD1 knockout was achieved by crossing TEAD1-floxed mice with CFs-and myofibroblasts-specific Cre *** and histological analyses demonstrated that CFs-and myofibroblasts-specific TEAD1 deficiency and treatment with TEAD1 inhibitor,VT103,ameliorated TAC-induced cardiac ***,RNA-seq and ChiP-seq analysis identified Wnt4 as a novel TEAD1 ***1 has been shown to promote the fibroblast-to-myofibroblast transition through the Wnt signalling pathway,and genetic Wnt4 knockdown inhibited the pro-transformation phenotype in CFs with TEAD1 ***,coimmunoprecipitation combined with mass spectrometry,chromatin immunoprecipitation,and luciferase assays demonstrated interaction between TEAD1 and BET protein BRD4,leading to the binding and activation of the Wnt4 *** conclusion,TEAD1 is an essential regulator of the pro-fibrotic CFs phenotype associated with pathological cardiac remodeling via the BRD4/Wnt4 signallingpathway.

CBL Significance in Pathophysiology Teaching

Objective: To explore the importance of CBL in pathophysiology teaching. Methods: 218 undergraduate clinical medicine students in 2015 grade were divided into CBL group and control group, and each group had 109 students. The CBL group was taught by CBL, while the control group was taught by routine teaching mode. The teaching effects was evaluated by questionnaire survey and stage test. Results: The CBL group was superior to the control group in learning interest, logical thinking, knowledge system construction, comprehensive use of knowledge to solve problems. Conclusion: CBL teaching enhanced students’ understanding of knowledge significantly, and also enhanced their clinical thinking and problem analysis ability.

Determination of Forchlorfenuron Dissipation and Residue in Cucumbers and Red Soil

To assess the risks of forchlorfenuron after application, a residue analysis method for ferchlorfenuron in cucumbers and the red soil of Southern China was established, and the dissipation behavior and residue characteristics of forchlorfenuron were studied under field conditions. The field trials, including dissipation and residue experiments, were conducted in Hunan, Yunnan and Hainan Provinces. Forchlorfenuron was applied at 32 a.i.g ha^-1 rate for the dissipation study and both 21 and 32 a.i.g ha^-1 for the residue study. Representative cucumbers and soil samples were collected at predetermined intervals for HPLC for UV- detector analysis. The average recoveries of the method were 80.8%-92.0% with coefficients variation （CV） between 0.4% and 11.8%. The detection limit of forchlorfenuron in cucumbers and soil samples was 0.003 mg·kg^-1 and the minimum detectable amount was 3.0× 10^-10 g. The half life of forchlorfenuron in cucumbers in the three provinces changed as： Yunnan （5.50 days）, Hunan （5.88 days）, and Hainan （6.53 days） and in the soil was observed： Hainan （6.54 days）, Hunan （7.64 days）, and Yunnan （8.39 days）. The maximum terminal residue in cucumbers at 32 a.i.g ha^-1 rate after 5 days was 0.009 mg·kg^-1 （Yunnan） followed by 0.0085 mg·kg^-1 （Hainan） and 0.0082 mg·kg^-1（Hunan） which was below MRL value of 0.01 mg·kg^-1 established by the USA, EPA. So a waiting period of 5 days should be established after spaying on cucumbers to avoid hazard to human beings.

It is suggested that nurses should correctly understand the connotation of precision nursing, expand the research content, enrich the research methods, actively carry out the targeted cancer precision nursing practice, improve the quality of life of the patients, and then form the shape of the patient. It is a localized nursing care system that can provide the best medical care for every cancer patient.

A Study on Lung Cancer in Jianghan Plain

This study was to investigate the epidemiology of lung cancer in Jianghan Plain, providing scientific basis for prevention and treatment of lung cancer. Pathology and clinical data of 1290 patients diagnosed lung cancer from the largest hospital in Jianghan Plain were collected and analyzed. Results found that the lung cancer incidence increased gradually from the age of 40 and at the peak during 61 to 70 years old;the male to female ratio was 2.45:1;Smoking patients were 841 cases, accounting for 65.2% of all cases. Smoke index > 400 was 771 cases accounting for 91.7 percent of smokers and smoking index < 400 was 70 cases accounting for 8.3% of smoking patients. 93.6% of the patients were to start smoking at a young age. The rate of patient pathological cytology diagnosed by fiberoptic bronchoscopy was 31.8%, which showed that it was an important diagnostic method for lung cancer. The main reason for smoking is to break up the monotony and although many patients know nicotine, carbon monoxide is the main smoking harmful substances and smoking may cause lung cancer;not many people can take the initiative to quit smoking. It also showed that squamous cell carcinoma was the main type in smoking patients, while adeno-carcinoma in non-smoking patients. The comprehensive epidemiological analysis suggested that smoking is an important factor in causing lung cancer, smoking cessation education and regular medical examinations to strengthen the prevention of lung cancer have a positive meaning to their family members.
