To solve the problem of the lack of reference material （RM） for determination of allergenic ingredients in food， a RM of cashew nut powder was developed in the study. Cashew nut powder was prepared from cashew nut kernel by selecting， cleaning， crushing， n-hexane degreasing and sieving treatment. The reliability and traceability of RM was verified using real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction （qPCR） and phylogenetic tree analysis. The cashew nut powder RM showed good homogeneity， and good stability under long-term storage at 4℃ and short-term simulated transportation from -20℃ to 45℃. The RM was determined jointly by 8 collaborative laboratories， and the characteristic CTvalue was 24.732， and the extended uncertainty was 1.052 （k=2）. The RM was applied to verify the amplification efficiency （E）and the limit of detection （LOD） for qPCR assay， and showed good applicability. The RM could be used for method validation and quality control， for the determination of allergenic ingredients in food mixed with trace amounts of cashew nut.

The microorganism-rich nature of the ocean imposes great challenges to the structural integrity of met-als over their service lifespan,including titanium(Ti)alloys,which are usually prone to microbiologically influenced corrosion(MIC).So,multifunctional anti-MIC Ti alloys need to be developed and studied.This paper investigates the effect of copper(Cu)concentration on the MIC resistance of a series of additively manufactured,ultrafine-grained Ti-x Cu(x=3.5,6.5 and 8.5 in wt.%)alloys.The dependence of the cor-rosion resistance and MIC resistance on the Cu concentration of Ti-Cu alloy is interpreted considering all conceivable mechanisms.The mechanisms for excellent corrosion resistance of Ti-Cu alloy in seawater are attributed to the strong passive film and small surface potential difference between phases.Microstruc-tural characterization reveals that uniformly distributed,nanosized Ti_(2) Cu phase led to increased reactive oxygen species in the bacterial membrane,which is the root reason for the superb anti-bacterial property(99.2%)for Ti-8.5Cu.Compared to pure Ti and Ti-6Al-4V,Ti-8.5Cu alloy features both high strength(yield stress>1000 MPa)and the best MIC resistance(97.5%).The combination of such balanced properties enables this functional 3D printed Ti-Cu alloy to become an ideal material for load-bearing applications in the marine environment.

Corrosion-resistant high nitrogen high entropy alloys(HEAs)were manufactured by pressurized metal-lurgy.This work revealed the inhibitory effect of nitrogen on pitting corrosion of HEAs caused by sul-fate reducing bacterium Desulfovibrio vulgaris.Results indicated that HEA-0 N was susceptible to pitting corrosion and sulfidation under attack of D.vulgaris,whereas the addition of nitrogen significantly de-creased the pitting sensitivity.Pitting potentials of HEA-0.52 N and HEA-1.23 N increased by 133%and 171%,respectively compared to HEA-0 N in the presence of SRB.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results unveiled that nitrogen enriched in passive film and strengthened it by increasing fraction of Cr_(2)O_(3)and Fe^(3+)_(ox).Surface of the nitrogen-alloyed HEAs exhibited less defective passive films as revealed by Mott-Schottky results.Nitrogen doping provides a novel insight into the design of microbial corrosion resistant HEA.

Metal-organic frameworks recently have been burgeoning and used as precursors to obtain various metal-nitrogen-carbon catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).Although rarely studied,Mn-N-C is a promising catalyst for ORR due to its weak Fenton reaction activity and strong graphitization catalysis.Here,we developed a facile strategy for anchoring the atomically dispersed nitrogen-coordinated single Mn sites on carbon nanosheets(MnNCS)from an Mn-hexamine coordination framework.The atomically dispersed Mn-N4 sites were dispersed on ultrathin carbon nanosheets with a hierarchically porous structure.The optimized MnNCS displayed an excellent ORR performance in half-cells(0.89 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE)in base and 0.76 V vs.RHE in acid in half-wave potential)and Zn-air batteries(233 mW cm^(−2)in peak power density),along with significantly enhanced stability.Density functional theory calculations further corroborated that the Mn-N4-C1_(2)site has favorable adsorption of*OH as the rate-determining step.These findings demonstrate that the metal-hexamine coordination framework can be used as a model system for the rational design of highly active atomic metal catalysts for energy applications.

Hepatic ischemia–reperfusion(IR)injury is a serious clinical problem that complicates liver resection and transplantation.Despite recent advances in understanding of the pathophysiology of hepatic IR injury,effective interventions and therapeutics are still lacking.Here,we examined the role of transient receptor potential melastatin 2(TRPM2),a Ca^(2+)-permeable,non-selective cation channel,in mediating hepatic IR injury.Our data showed that TRPM2 deficiency attenuated IR-induced liver dysfunction,inflammation,and cell death in mice.Moreover,RNA sequencing analysis indicated that TRPM2-induced IR injury occurs via ferroptosis-related pathways.Consistently,as a ferroptosis inducer,(1S,3R)-RSL3 treatment induced mitochondrial dysfunction in hepatocytes and a TRPM2 inhibitor suppressed this.Interestingly,TRPM2-mediated calcium influx caused mitochondrial calcium accumulation via the mitochondrial Ca^(2+)-selective uniporter and increased the expression level of arachidonate 12-lipoxygenase(ALOX12),which results in mitochondrial lipid peroxidation during hepatic IR injury.Furthermore,hepatic IR injury-induced ferroptosis was obviously relieved by a TRPM2 inhibitor or calcium depletion,both in vitro and in vivo.Collectively,these findings demonstrate a crucial role for TRPM2-mediated ferroptosis in hepatic IR injury via increased Ca^(2+)-induced ALOX12 expression,indicating that pharmacological inhibition of TRPM2 may provide an effective therapeutic strategy for hepatic IR injury-related diseases,such as during liver resection and transplantation.

As one of the most common metabolic diseases， type 2 diabetes (T2D) has become a public health concern with rising global prevalence. Corni fructus (CF)， a traditional Chinese herb utilized for centuries as homologous medicinal and food resources， has been widely used to treat glucose and lipid metabolism disorders. However， as a core active ingredient of CF， whether and how morroniside (MOR) improves T2D is still unclear. This study aimed to explore the pathways by which MOR ameliorates T2D in mice induced by high-fat diet (HFD) and low-dose streptozotocin (STZ) through 16S rRNA gene sequencing. We found that MOR treatment significantly ameliorated body weight loss， hyperglycemia， hyperlipidemia and insulin resistance in T2D mice. In addition， MOR remarkably improved inflammation- and oxidative stress-driven hepatic and pancreatic injuries in the model mice. Mechanistically， MOR rehabilitated the dysregulated diversity and constitution of the gut microbiota in T2D mice， with significant changes in relative abundance in genus such as Lactobacillus， Lachnospiraceae＿NK4A136＿Group， and Lachnospiraceae＿UCG-006 which are believed to be highly correlated with serum parameters and insulin resistance in mice with T2D. Therefore， we infer that MOR improves T2D at least partially by maintaining the host microbiota homeostasis， and MOR may be a promising candidate for T2D treatment.

The direct emission of waste refinery gas after combustion will cause a severe greenhouse effect.Recovering high-value-added ethylene from wasted refinery gas has fundamental economic and environmental significance. Due to the complexity of the composition of refinery waste gas, designing and optimizing the whole recovery process is still a challenging task. Herein, a novel process(SCOAS) was proposed to obtain polymer-grade ethylene from wasted refinery gas through a direct separation process,and heat pump-assisted thermal integration optimization(HPSCOAS) was carried out. The unique feature of the novel approach is that a new stripper and ethylene reabsorber follow the dry gas absorber to ensure ethylene recovery and methane content. An industrial model, shallow cooling oil absorption(SCOA), and concentration combined cold separation system of ethylene unit using wasted refinery gas was established to analyze the technology and environment. Based on the detailed process modeling and simulation results, the quantitative sustainability assessment of economy and environment based on product life cycle process is carried out. The results show that compared with the traditional process when the same product is obtained, the total annual cost of the HPSCOAS process is the lowest, which is 15.4% lower than that of the SCOA process and 6.1% lower than that of the SCOAS process. In addition,compared with the SCOA process and the HPSCOAS process, the SCOAS process has more environmental advantages. The non-renewable energy consumed by SCOAS is reduced by about 24.8% and 6.1%, respectively. The CO_(2) equivalent is reduced by about 38.6% and 23.7%.

The designing of reasonable nanocomposite materials and proper introduction of defect engineering are of great significance for the improvement of the poor electronic conductivity and slow reaction kinetics of manganese-based compounds. Herein, we report manganese-deficient Mn_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles which grow in-situ on highly conductive carbon nanotubes(CNTs)(denoted as DMOC) as an advanced cathode material for aqueous rechargeable zinc-ion batteries(RAZIBs). According to experimental and calculation results, the DMOC cathode integrates the advantages of enriched Mn defects and small particle size. These features not only enhance electronic conductivity but also create more active site and contribute to fast reaction kinetics. Moreover, the structure of DMOC is maintained during the charging and discharging process, thus benefiting for excellent cycle stability. As a result, the DMOC electrode delivers a high specific capacity of 420.6 m A h g^(-1) at 0.1 A g^(-1) and an excellent cycle life of 2800 cycles at 2.0 A g^(-1) with a high-capacity retention of 84.1%. In addition, the soft-packaged battery assembled with DMOC cathode exhibits long cycle life and high energy density of 146.3 Wh kg^(-1) at 1.0 A g^(-1) . The results are beneficial for the development of Zn/Mn_(3)O_(4) battery for practical energy storage.

Wavy properties and analytical modeling of free-surface flows in the development of the multi-domain method

The wavy （oscillatory both in space and in time） properties of free-surface flows due to presence of floating bodies are analyzed within the framework of the potential-flow theory by assuming that the fluid is perfect and flow irrotational. A so-called new multi-domain method has been developed based on the fluid domain division by an analytical control surface surrounding bodies and the application of different methods adapted in the external and internal domains. In the analytical domain external to the control surface, the fundamental solution satisfying the linear boundary condition on the free surface associated with a point singularity （often called Green fimction and referred here as point solution） is applied to capture all wavy features of free-surface flows extending horizontally to infinity. Unlike classical studies in which the control surface is discretized, the unknown velocity potential and its normal derivatives are expressed by expansions of orthogonal elementary functions. The velocity potential associa- ted with each elementary distribution （elementary solutions） on the control surface can be obtained by performing multi-fold inte- grals in an analytical way. In the domain internal to the control surface containing the bodies, we could apply different methods like the Rankine source method based on the boundary integral equations for which the elementary solutions obtained in the external domain playing the role of Dirichlet-to-Neumarm operator close the problem.

Ship wave pattern is a fascinating research topic in the fields of marine hydrodynamics and water waves. Within the pure-gravity wave theory, the ship wave pattern composed of transverse waves and divergent waves appearing on the downstream is confined within a sector symmetrical about the ship track with a half-angle 19°28＇. However, when the surface tension is accounted for, the wave pattern is greatly modified especially at a low translating speed. Besides the minimum speed of capillary waves c_（min）= 0.23 m/s below which waves cannot be generated, there is another critical speed c_（div）= 0.45 m/s associated with the disappearance of divergent waves. In the present paper, the wave patterns created by a steadily translating source are studied, and they are examined with the crestlines obtained from the asymptotic analysis.
