Sustainable Intensification and Large-scale Operation of Cultivated Land Use at the Farmers’ Scale:A Case Study of Shandong Province,China

Sustainable intensification of cultivated land use(SICLU) and large-scale operations(LSO) are widely acknowledged strategies for enhancing agricultural ***,the existing literature has faced challenges in precisely defining SICLU and constructing comprehensive indicators,which has hindered the exploration of factors influencing LSO within the SICLU *** address this gap,we integrated self-efficacy theory into the design of an index framework for evaluating *** subsequently employed econometric models to analyze the significant factors that impact *** findings reveal that SICLU can be divided into four key dimensions:intensive management,efficient output,resource conservation,and ecological environment ***,it is crucial to incorporate belief-based cognitive factors into the index system,as farmers’ understanding of fertilizer and pesticide application significantly influences their willingness to engage in ***,we identify grain market turnover as the most influential factor in promoting LSO,with single-factor contribution rates reaching 70.9% for cultivated land transfer willingness and 62.5% for the total planting ***,unlike irrigation and agricultural machinery inputs,increased labor inputs correspond to larger planting areas for *** trend may be attributed to reduced labor availability because of rural labor migration,whereas the reduction in irrigation and agricultural input is contingent on innovations in production practices and the transfer of cultivated land management ***,SICLU dynamically influences LSO,with each index related to SICLU having an optimal range that fosters *** insights offer valuable guidance for policymakers,emphasizing farmers as their central focus,with the adjustment of input and output factors as a means to achieve LSO as the ultimate *** conclusion,we propose research avenues for further enriching the SICLU framework to ensur

Nowadays,biopolymer stabilization as a promising eco-friendly approach in soft ground improvement has attracted wide ***,the feasibility of using biopolymer as a green additive of cementstabilized dredged sediment(CDS)with high water content is still *** this study,guar gum(GG)and xanthan gum(XG)were adopted as typical biopolymers,and a series of unconfined compressive strength(UCS),splitting tensile strength(STS)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)tests were performed to evaluate the mechanical and microstructural properties of XG-and GG-modified CDSs considering several factors including biopolymer modification,binderesoil ratio and wateresolid ***,the micro-mechanisms revealing the evolutions of mechanical properties of biopolymermodified CDS were *** results indicate that the addition of XG can effectively improve the strength of CDS,while the GG has a side *** XG content of 9%was recommended,which can improve the 7 d-and 28 d-UCSs by 196%and 51.8%,together with the 7 d-and 28 d-STSs by 118.3%and 42.2%,*** the binderesoil ratio or decreasing the wateresolid ratio significantly improved the strength gaining but aggravated the brittleness characteristics of *** XG to CDS contributed to the formation of microstructure with more compactness and higher cementation degrees of ordinary Portland cement(OPC)-XG-stabilized DS(CXDS).The micro-mechanism models revealing the interactions of multiple media including OPC cementation,biopolymer film bonding and bridging effects inside CXDS were *** key findings confirm the feasibility of XG modification as a green and high-efficiency mean for improving the mechanical properties of CDS.

Since 2007,the large-scale green tide caused by Ulva prolifera(***)have occurred as a recurrent phenomenon in the southern Yellow Sea of *** surveys and satellite remote sensing showed that the small scattered patches of green tide algae were first observed along the Porphyra agriculture area of the Subei Shoal in late *** this study,we attempted to identify the role of eutrophication in the origin of the green tide in the Subei Shoal and its adjacent *** Shoal and its adjacent area are characterized by rich nutrients,especially NO_(3)^(-)-N,NH_(4)^(+)-N,PO_(4)^(3-)-P,and other bioavailable components(such as urea-N and amino acids).In the spring of 2017,the average concentrations of NO_(3)^(-)-N were 19.01±11.01μmolL^(-1),accounting for 86.68%of the dis-solved inorganic nitrogen(DIN).In addition,the average concentration of NH4^(+)-N was 2.51±1.60μmolL^(-1).PO_(4)^(3-)-P had an average concentration of 0.14±0.13μ*** average concentrations of urea-N and total hydrolyzed amino acids(THAA)were 1.73±1.36μmolL^(-1)and 1.33±0.80μmolL^(-1),*** nutritive substances play a key role in the rapid production of *** and make the Jiangsu coastal water an incubator for green tide.

Antibiotic fermentation residue(AFR)is nutrient-rich solid waste generated from fermentative antibiotic production *** is demonstrated that AFR contains high-concentration of remaining antibiotics,and thus may promote antibiotic resistance development in receiving environment or feeding farmed ***,the dominate microorganisms and antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs)in AFRs have not been adequately explored,hampering understanding on the potential antibiotic resistance risk development caused by ***,seven kinds of representative AFRs along their production,storage,and treatment processes were collected,and multiple methods including amplicon sequencing,metagenomic sequencing,and bioinformatic approaches were adopted to explore the biological characteristics of *** expected,antibiotic fermentation producer was found as the predominant species in raw AFRs,which were collected at the outlet of fermentation ***,except for producer species,more environment-derived species persisted in stored AFRs,which were temporarily stored at a semi-open *** genus,classified as Firmicutes phylum and Bacilli class,became predominant bacterial taxa in stored AFRs,which might attribute to its tolerance to high concentration of *** from metagenomic sequencing together with assembly and binning approaches showed that these newly-colonizing species(e.g.,Lactobacillus genus)tended to carry ARGs conferring resistance to the remaining ***,after thermal treatment,remaining antibiotic could be efficiently removed from AFRs,and microorganisms together with DNA could be strongly *** sum,the main risk from the AFRs was the remaining antibiotic,while environment-derived bacteria which tolerate extreme environment,survived in ARFs with high content antibiotics,and may carry ***,hydrothermal or other harmless treatment technologies are recommended to remove antibiotic content and inactivate bacteria befor

Immune checkpoint blockade(ICB)has emerged as a promising immunotherapeutic modality against cancer in the ***,only 10-30%of patients respond to ICB,primarily due to poor immunogenicity and insufficient T cell infiltration in solid ***,we presented an approach for high-performance cancer treatment using the programmed cell death protein-1 and programmed cell death ligand-1(PD-1/PD-L1)inhibitor(BMS-202)-loaded PEGylated graphene oxide(GPi).On the one hand,GPi dissociated tight junctions of vascular endothelial cells(VECs)in tumor,thus promoting the extravasation and intratumoral accumulation of liposomal doxorubicin(LipDox),which then effectively induced immunogenic cell death of tumor *** the other hand,GPi also stimulated VECs to upregulate the expression of cell-cell interaction molecules,such as intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1 and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1,which facilitated the infiltration of T cells in *** acting as a stimulator of VECs,GPi could exert responsive release of BMS-202 under the acidic tumor microenvironment and blockade PD-1/PD-L1 axis in ***,the alternating administration of GPi and LipDox effectively inhibited tumor growth in a 4T1 tumor model,providing a novel treatment mode for chemo-immunotherapy.

To investigate the macroscopic fatigue properties and the mesoscopic pore evolution characteristics of salt rock under cyclic loading,fatigue tests under different upper-limit stresses were carried out on salt rock,and the mesoscopic pore structures of salt rock before and after fatigue tests and under different cycle numbers were measured using CT scanning *** on the test results,the effects of the cycle number and the upper-limit stress on the evolution of cracks,pore morphology,pore number,pore volume,pore size,plane porosity,and volume porosity of salt rock were *** failure path of salt rock specimens under cyclic loading was analyzed using the distribution law of plane *** damage variable of salt rock under cyclic loading was defined on basis of the variation of volume porosity with cycle *** order to describe the fatigue deformation behavior of salt rock under cyclic loading,the nonlinear Burgers damage constitutive model was further *** results show that the model established can better reflect the whole development process of fatigue deformation of salt rock under cyclic loading.
