Molten-LiCl induced thermochemical prelithiation of SiOx:Regulating the active Si/O ratio for high initial Coulombic efficiency

The low initial Coulombic efficiency(ICE)of SiOx anode caused by the irreversible generation of LiySiOz and Li20 during lithiation process limits its application for high energy-density lithium-ion ***,we report a molten-salt-induced *** strategy for regulating the electrochemically active Si/O ratio of SiOx and thus enhancing ICE through thermal treatment of pre-synthesized LiNH2-coated SiOx in molten LiCl at 700℃.Bulk SiOx micro-particle was transformed into pomegranatelike prelithiated micro-cluster composite(M-Li-SiOx)with SiOx core and outer nano-sized agglomerates consisting of Li2Si20s,SiO2,and *** the analysis of the reaction intermediates,molten-UC!could initiate reactions and promote mass transfer by the continuous extraction of oxygen component from SiOx particle inner in the form of inert Li2Si20s and SiO2 nanotubes to realize *** degree of prelithiation can be regulated by adjusting the coating amount of LiNH2 layer,and the resulted M-Li-SiOx displays a prominent improvement of ICE from 58.73%to 88.2%.The graphite/M-Li-SiOx(8:2)composite electrode delivers *** capacity of 497.29 mAh·g^(-1) with an ICE of 91.79%.By pairing graphite/M-Li-SiOx anode and LiFeP04 cathode in a full-cell an enhancement of energy density of 37.25%is realized compared with the full-cell containing graphite/SiOx ***,,ex-situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)/Raman/X-ray diffraction(XRD)and related electrochemical measurements reveal the SiOx core and Si of M-Li-SiOx participate in the lithiation,and pre-generated Li2Si20s with u+diffusivity and *** reduces the reaction resistance and interface impedance of the solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)film.

Intravitreal anti-VEGF agents, oral glucocorticoids, and laser photocoagulation combination therapy for macular edema secondary to retinal vein occlusion: preliminary report

AIM： To evaluate the efficacy and safety of combined anti-vascular endothelial growth factor （VEGF） agents, oral glucocorticoid, and laser photocoagulation therapy for macular edema （ME） secondary to retinal vein occlusion （RVO）. METHODS： This study included 16 eyes of 16 patients with RVO-associated ME. Patients were initially treated with oral prednisone and an intravitreal anti-VEGF agent. Two weeks later, patients underwent standard laser photocoagulation. Best-corrected visual acuity （BCVA）, central retinal thickness （CRT）, and retinal vessel oxygenation were examined over 12mo. RESULTS： Patients received 1.43＋0.81 anti-VEGF injections. Mean baseline and 12-month IogMAR BCVA were 0.96±0.51 （20/178） and 0.31±0.88 （20/40）, respectively, in eyes with central retinal vein occlusion （CRVO）（P〈0.00）, and 1.02±0.45 （201209） and 0.60±0.49 （20/80）, respectively, in eyes with branch retinal vein occlusion （BRVO）（P〈0.00）. At 12mo, CRT had significantly decreased in eyes with CRVO （P〈0.00） and BRVO （P〈0.00）. Venous oxygen saturation had significantly increased in eyes with CRVO （P〈0.00） and BRVO （P〈0.00）. No examined parameters were significantly different between the 2 RVO groups. No serious adverse effects occurred. CONCLUSION： Anti-VEGF, glucocorticoid, and photocoagulation combination therapy improves visual outcome, prolongs therapeutic effect, and reduces the number of intravitreal injections in eyes with RVO- associated ME.

Collagen, the most abundant protein in human body, has been widely used as an excellent natural material for diverse biomedical applications due to its superior properties such as ample biological interaction sites, minimal immunogenicity and high biocompatibility. Collagens of different lengths are produced by recombinant technology and utilized to functionalize fluorescent silica nanoparticles (FNPs). The collagen‐functionalized FNPs display mono‐disperse distribution, but their sizes are dependent on the length of collagen. These modified FNPs all show nice fluorescence profile as well as low cytotoxicity, suggesting promising applications in bioimaging. We have demonstrated that various types of collagen, conveniently produced by recombinant technology, can be used to modify silica nanoparticles with nice characteristics such as mono‐dispersion, non‐interference in fluorescence and low toxicity. It may endow fluorescent silica nanoparticles with broad biological applications.

Short-term application of low-dose growth hormone in surgical patients: Effects on nitrogen balance and blood glucose

AIM： To investigate the effectiveness and safety of recombinant human growth hormone （rhGH） in postoperative patients. METHODS： A total of 48 consecutive patients undergoing abdominal operations were randomized to receive either subcutaneous rhGH （0.15 IU/kg） or placebo （menstruum） injections daily for 7 d after surgery. The two groups had similar nutritional intake. Blood samples for serum fibronecUn, albumin, prealbumin, transferrin and the total lymphocyte count, as well as glucose levels were collected to study the rhGH effect. Basal laboratory evaluation, and nutritional status were estimated on d 1 before as baseline and d 3 and 10 after operation using standard laboratory techniques. Nitrogen balance was measured from d 3 to 9 after operation. RESULTS： The cumulative nitrogen balance was significantly improved in rhGH group compared with the placebo group （11.37 ± 16.82 vs -9.11 ± 17.52, P = 0.0003）. Serum fibronectin was also significantly higher in the rhGH group than in the placebo group （104.77 ± 19.94 vs 93.03 ± 16.03, P 〈 0.05）, whereas changes in serum albumin, prealbumin, transferrin and total lymphocyte counts were not statistically significant. Mean blood glucose levels were significantly higher in the rhGH group from d 3 to 6 after operation. CONCLUSION： If blood glucose can be controlled, lowdose growth hormone together with hypocaloric nutrition is effective on improving positive nitrogen balance and protein conservation and safe is in postoperative patients.

目的探究穴位按摩联合穴位贴敷治疗胸腰椎骨折术后便秘的临床效果。方法选择2022年3月—2023年3月新余市中医院收治的胸腰椎骨折术后便秘患者60例,分为两组,各30例。观察组予穴位按摩联合穴位贴敷治疗,对照组予常规治疗,比较两组治疗满意度、临床疗效及术后排气、排便时间。结果观察组治疗满意度为96.67%(29/30),高于对照组的73.33%(22/30)(P<0.05)。观察组治疗总有效率为96.67%(29/30),高于对照组的66.67%(20/30)(P<0.05)。治疗后,观察组首次肛门排气、排便时间均短于对照组(P<0.05)。结论针对胸腰椎骨折术后便秘患者,实施穴位按摩联合穴位贴敷治疗,可提升临床效果,同时能够缩短患者术后排气、排便时间,提升其对治疗的满意度,适合临床推广应用。

Terpyridine-derived Zn^(2+) Selective Fluorescence Sensor: Ratiometric Fluoroionophoric Behavior Study

A sensitive and selective zinc ion ratiometric fluorescence sensor has been synthesized and characterized. This material displays dual fluorescence. After the material was bonded to a closed-shell metal ion, such as Zn2＋, the recovery of the local excited fluorescence of the material-Zn2＋ complex, largely at the expense of the intramolecular charge transfer fluorescence, is consistent with the difference between selected orbital transitions of the free dye and the metal-chelated complex. For instance, the contribution of the πtpy→πtpy, transition becomes more prominent. This is also consistent with the results of the fluorescence decay behavior, measured via a time-correlated single photon counting setup. In contrast, the corresponding open shell Ni2＋ -bound complex quenches both kinds of photoluminescence, due to spin-orbit coupling.

目的观察西格列汀治疗肥胖2型糖尿病(T2DM)的临床疗效及安全性。方法选择2022年1月至2024年2月南阳市第一人民医院接诊的肥胖T2DM患者106例为研究对象。按治疗方法将患者分为对照组(n=53)和观察组(n=53)。2组患者均给予饮食控制及运动干预、调脂治疗、营养辅导等基础治疗,在此基础上,对照组患者给予盐酸二甲双胍片,观察组患者给予盐酸二甲双胍片和磷酸西格列汀片,连续治疗4个月。比较2组患者的治疗效果。分别于治疗前后,记录2组患者的体质量指数(BMI);采用糖化血红蛋白仪检测糖化血红蛋白(HbA1c)水平;全自动生化分析仪检测空腹血糖(FBG)、餐后2 h血糖(2 h PG)、空腹胰岛素(Fins)和三酰甘油(TG)、总胆固醇(TC)、低密度脂蛋白胆固醇(LDL-C)、高密度脂蛋白胆固醇(HDL-C)水平,计算稳态模型评估的胰岛素抵抗指数(HOMA-IR);采用双抗体夹心酶联免疫吸附试验检测血清核因子E2相关因子2(Nrf2)、缺氧诱导因子-α(HIF-α)、C反应蛋白(CRP)、白细胞介素-6(IL-6)、肿瘤坏死因子-α(TNF-α)水平。记录2组患者用药期间恶心呕吐、腹泻、外阴瘙痒、低血糖等不良反应发生情况。采用国家胆固醇教育计划-成人治疗小组第三组推荐的评分工具Framingham 10年冠心病危险评分(FRS)来评估心血管疾病发生风险。结果对照组和观察组患者的治疗总有效率分别为77.36%(41/53)、92.45%(49/53),观察组患者的治疗总有效率显著高于对照组(χ^(2)=4.711,P0.05)。2组患者治疗后BMI、FBG、2 h PG、HbA1c、HOMA-IR、TG、TC、LDL-C水平均显著低于治疗前,Fins、HDL-C水平显著高于治疗前(P0.05)。2组患者治疗后血清Nrf2、HIF-α水平显著低于治疗前(P0.05)。2组患者治疗后血清CRP、IL-6、TNF-α水平显著低于治疗前(P0.05)。观察组患者治疗结束后3个月的FRS评分显著低于对照组(t=7.572,P<0.05)。观察组4例(7.55%)患者发生心血管疾病的风险为中高危,49例为低危;对照组12例(22.64%)患者发生心血管疾病的风险为中高危,41例为低危。观察组发生心血管疾病风险中高危患者占比显著低于对照组(χ^(2)=4.711,P<0.05)。结论西格列汀治疗肥胖T2DM疗效较好,可显著改善患者的糖脂代谢,下调血清Nrf2、HIF-α表达水平及炎症因子水平,减少心血管疾病风险,且安全性好。

Paclitaxel based vs oxaliplatin based regimens for advanced gastric cancer

AIM:To compare the efficacy and safety of paclitaxel combined with fluorouracil plus cisplatin(PCF),and oxaliplatin combined with fluorouracil plus leucovorin(FOLFOX-4) regimens for advanced gastric cancer(AGC).METHODS:Ninety-four patients with AGC were randomly assigned to receive paclitaxel(50 mg/m2 iv) on days 1,8 and 15,cisplatin(20 mg/m2 iv) and ? uorouracil(750 mg/m2 iv) on days 1-5,or oxaliplatin(85 mg/m2 iv) and leucovorin(200 mg/m2 iv) on day 1,followed by bolus fluorouracil(400 mg/m2 iv) and fluorouracil(600 mg/m2 iv) on days 1 and *** primary end point was the 1-year survival ***:The overall response rate(ORR) of the pa-tients was 48.0% and 45.5% to PCF and FOLFOX-4,*** disease control rate(DCR) of PCF and FOLFOX-4 was 82.0% and 81.8%,*** median survival times(MSTs) of the patients were 10.8 and 9.9 mo,respectively,after treatment with PCF and *** 1-year survival rate of the patients was 36.0% and 34.1%,respectively,after treatment with PCF and *** significant difference was observed in ORR,DCR,MST or 1-year survival rate between the two *** most common adverse events were anemia,nausea and vomiting,and grade 3/4 alopecia in PCF treatment group,and anemia,grade 1/2 neurotoxic effect and grade 3/4 neutropenia in FOLFOX-4 treatment ***:Patients with AGC have a similar response rate to PCF and FOLFOX-4 regimens with a similar survival *** PCF and FOLFOX-4 regimens are efficacious and tolerable as a promising therapy for AGC.
