AIM： To investigate the effects of short-term application of low-dose growth hormone on trace element metabolism and blood glucose in surgical patients METHODS： A total of 48 consecutive patients undergoing abdominal operations were randomized to receive either subcutaneous rhGH （0.15 IU/kg） or placebo （menstruum） injections daily for 7 d after surgery. The two groups had similar nutrition intake. Blood, feces, urine and drain samples were collected to measure zincum, cuprum and ferrum as well as glucose levels. Accumulative intake, excretion and balance of zincum, cuprum and ferrum, apparent absorption （AA） and apparent utilization （AU） of zincum, cuprum and ferrum, blood glucose levels and adverse events were estimated. RESULTS： There were no differences in accumulative intake and drain excretion between the two groups. The feces excretion and accumulative excretion of cuprum were lower in the rhGH group （P 〈 0.05）. The urinary excretion of zincum, cuprum and ferrum was all significantly decreased in the rhGH group （P 〈 0.05） and the accumulative balance of zincum, cuprum and ferrum was improved compared with the placebo group （P 〈 0.05）. AA of cuprum in the rhGH group was almost twice as much as the placebo group （P 〈 0.05）, and AU of zincum, cuprum and ferrum was all improved in the rhGH group （P 〈 0.05）. The mean blood glucose level was significantly higher in the rhGH group than in the placebo group from d 3 to d 6 after operation （P 〈 0.05）.improves the retention of zincum, cuprum and ferrum and decreases the excretion of zincum, cuprum and ferrum, improves the balance of zincum, cuprum and ferrum, and promotes the AA and AU of zincum, cuprum and ferrum, rhGH can be well tolerated without significant adverse effects and the blood glucose level can be well controlled.

AIM To clarify the underlying mechanism of formin-like 3(FMNL3)in the promotion of colorectal carcinoma(CRC)cell *** The in vitro biological function analyses of FMNL3 were performed by gain-and loss-of function *** in the F-actin cytoskeleton were detected by the technologies of phalloidin-TRITC labeling and confocal *** signaling pathway mediated by FMNL3 was explored by western blot,gelatin zymograph assay,co-immunoprecipitation(co-IP),immunofluorescence colocalization,and glutathione S-transferase(GST)pulldown *** The in vitro experimental results showed that FMNL3 significantly promoted the proliferation,invasion,and migration of CRC cells(P<0.05 and P<0.01).Moreover,FMNL3regulated the remodeling of actin-based protrusions such as filopodia and lamellipodia in a RhoC-dependent *** western blot and gelatin zymograph assay results indicated that FMNL3 was involved in the RhoC/focal adhesion kinase(FAK)pathway and acted as an effector of RhoC to activate the downstream signaling of p-FAK as well as p-MAPK and *** resulted in the increased expression of matrix metalloproteinase 2(MMP2),matrix metalloproteinase 9(MMP9)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),and the subsequent promotion of CRC cell *** results of TAE226,U0126 or Ly294002 treatment confirmed an essential role of FMNL3 in activation of the RhoC/FAK pathway and the subsequent promotion of CRC ***-IP,colocalization and GST pull-down assays showed the direct interaction of FMNL3 with RhoC in vivo and in *** FMNL3 regulates the RhoC/FAK signaling pathway and RhoC-dependent remodeling of actin-based protrusions to promote CRC invasion.

In recent years,there have been many studies on the recognition of strawberry maturity,but there are still problems such as low recognition accuracy and expensive experimental *** factors make their methods difficult for farmers to *** solve these problems,we developed a fast,non-destructive,accurate and convenient method for strawberry maturity identification using *** this paper,strawberry maturity is divided into three levels:mature,nearly-mature and *** the actual strawberry harvest process and postharvest handling,we focus on the differentiation between the mature and the nearly-mature ones to help farmers reduce possible damage in transit and improve *** obtained the images of strawberries with different maturities at 535 nm and 670 nm wavelengths through a smartphone and got absorbance data by image processing based on the region of *** absorbance data were used to establish three maturity recognition models—i.e.,multivariate linear,multivariate nonlinear and SoftMax regression *** results showed that the multivariate nonlinear model had the highest identification accuracy(which is over 94%)in the ***,this method has considerable potential as a means for rapid recognition of strawberry maturity.

BACKGROUND Left ventricular hypertrophy(LVH)is prevalent in obese ***,both of LVH and obesity is as-sociated with subclinical LV *** study aims to investigate the interplay between body fat and LVH in relation to all-cause death in patients with coronary artery disease(CAD).METHODS In this retrospective cohort study,a total of 2243 patients with angiographically proven CAD were *** fat and LV mass were calculated using established *** were grouped according to body fat percentage and pres-ence or absence of ***-proportional hazard models were used to observe the interaction effect of body fat and LVH on all-cause *** Of 2243 patients enrolled,560(25%)had a higher body fat percentage,and 1045(46.6%)had *** a median follow-up of 2.2 years,the cumulative mortality rate was 8.2%in the group with higher body fat and LVH,2.5%in those with lower body fat and no LVH,5.4%in those with higher body fat and no LVH,and 7.8%in those with lower body fat and LVH(log-rank P<0.001).There was a statistically significant interaction between body fat percentage and LVH(P interaction was 0.003).After correcting for confounding factors,patients with higher body fat and LVH had the highest risk of all-cause death(HR=3.49,95%CI:1.40-8.69,P=0.007)compared with those with lower body fat and no LVH;in contrast,patients with higher body fat and no LVH had no statistically significant difference in risk of death compared with those with lower body fat and no LVH(HR=2.03,95%CI:0.70-5.92,P=0.195).CONCLUSION A higher body fat percentage was associated with a different risk of all-cause death in patients with CAD,strat-ified by coexistence of LVH or *** body fat was significantly associated with a greater risk of mortality among patients with LVH but not among those without LVH.

Additive manufacturing,also known as three-dimensional(3D)printing,has attracted increasing attention due to the innovations in materials science and manufacturing over recent decades[1].Recently,innovations in biocompatible materials and biology have enabled the extension of 3D printing techniques into bioadditive manufacturing,which focuses on the fabrication of 3D engineered native-like tissues/organs[2].Currently,bioadditive manufacturing technologies can be categorized into inkjet-based bioprinting,microextrusion-based bioprinting,digital light processing(DLP)bioprinting,electric field-assisted bioprinting,and fused deposition modeling(FDM),to name a few[3,4](Fig.1).Artificial tissues and organs with delicate structures,such as the heart[5]and liver[6],have been successfully fabricated using various bioadditive manufacturing techniques.

制药污水处理厂污泥是抗生素的主要储存库.研究考察了高、低生产负荷影响下不同污水处理工艺段污泥中抗生素的残留特征,并利用风险熵值(RQ)法评估了物化和生化污泥潜在的生态风险.结果表明,高、低生产负荷下污泥中检测出的11种抗生素种类相似,总检出浓度分别为401.72μg/g和55.02μg/g,不同抗生素浓度差异显著.生产负荷对废水处理工艺有一定的冲击力.主成分分析(PCA)结果显示高生产负荷下,不同工艺段的抗生素和水质参数之间的差异比低生产负荷下的差异更显著.冗余分析(RDA)结果显示不同的废水水质参数对抗生素的去除存在较大影响.制药过程中产生的抗生素在物化和生化脱水污泥中残留量依旧较高.低生产负荷物化和高生产负荷生化脱水污泥中抗生素残留量仍分别高达9.39μg/g和12.91μg/g.污泥改良土中红霉素、罗红霉素和磺胺氯哒嗪对接收环境的水生生物构成高风险(RQ>10).其中,磺胺二甲氧嘧啶的环境风险最高(RQ>295.04).制药厂大环内酯类和磺胺类抗生素是主要的风险因子,建议标记为优先控制污染物.混合抗生素的生态风险远高于单一抗生素.因此,不管是物化污泥还是生化污泥,都需要谨慎考虑污泥的最终出路.
