By the condensation of 2,6-bis（4-amino-5-mercapto-[1,2,4]-triazoles-2）pyridine with aromatic acid in the presence of phosphorus oxychloride. Compounds of 2,6-bis（6-aryl-[1,2,4]-triazolo[3,4-b][1,3,4]-thiadiazole-3-yl）pyridines were synthesized. Their structures were confirmed by IR, ^1H NMR spectroscopies and elemental analysis. Their electrochemical behavior and cyclic voltammogram also were be studied. The results showed that they have high ionization potentials and good affinity.

5α-reductase inhibitors （5α-RIs）, including finasteride and dutasteride, are commonly used medical therapies for benign prostatic hyperplasia （BPH）. Many studies reported that preoperative 5α-RI had impact on intraoperative haemorrhage during surgery for BPH, but it was still in controversial. So, we conducted a systematic review of the effects and mechanisms of 5α-RIs on intraoperative bleeding for BPH. MEDLINE, EMBASE, the Cochrane Controlled Trail Register of Controlled Trials and the reference lists of retrieved studies were searched in the analysis. Sixteen publications involving 15 different randomized controlled trials （RCTs） and a total of 1156 patients were used in the analysis, including 10 RCTs for finasteride and five RCTs for dutasteride. We found that preoperative finasteride treatment decreases microvessel density （MVD） in resected prostate specimens. Total blood loss, blood loss per gram of resected prostate tissue and decreases in haemoglobin were all greatly reduced in the finasteride group as compared to controls. Dutasteride appeared to have no effect on bleeding. This meta-analysis shows that preoperative finasteride treatment could decrease intraoperative haemorrhage during surgery for BPH. Preoperative dutasteride had no effect on intraoperative haemorrhage, but further high-qualitv prospective studies are still needed to confirm this observation.

Using a volume-limited sample of Main Galaxies from SDSS Data Release 5, we investigate the dependence of galaxy properties on local environment. For each galaxy, a local three-dimensional density is calculated. We find that the galaxy morphological type depends strongly on the local environment; galaxies in dense environments have predominantly early type morphologies. Galaxy colors have only a weak dependence on the environment. This puts an important constraint on the process of galaxy formation.

Background:The present study was undertaken to investigate the clinical characteristics of hemolytic uremic syndrome(HUS)secondary to cobalamin C disorder(cbl-C disorder).Methods:We reviewed retrospectively the medical records of 3 children with HUS secondary to cbl-C disorder who had been treated between April 1,2009 and October 31,***:The 3 patients with HUS secondary to cbl-C disorder presented with progressive hemolytic anemia,acute renal failure,thrombocytopenia,poor feeding,and failure to *** of the 3 patients once had high blood *** mutations of c.609G>A(P.W203X),c.217C>T(p.R73X)and c.365A>T(p.H122L)in the methylmalonic aciduria(cobalamin deficiency)cbl-C type,with homocystinuria gene were detected in the 3 *** these patients the levels of lactate dehydrogenase and homocysteine in serum were elevated and the level of methylmalonic acid(MMA)in urine was also *** treatment with hydroxocobalamin,2 patients were discharged with no obvious abnormal growth and neurological development and 1 patient died of multiple organ ***:The results of this study demonstrated that cbl-C disorder should be investigated in any child presenting with *** high concentrations of homocysteine and MMA could be used for timely recognization of the *** the high levels of plasma homocystein and/or plasma or urine MMA are detected,the treatment with parenteral hydroxocobalamin should be prescribed *** early diagnosis and treatment would contribute to the good prognosis of the disease.

As a rare autosomal-recessive metabolic disorder, cystinosis is caused by defective transport of cystine across the lysosomal membrane. Once the diagnosis of cystinosis is confirmed, specific treatment with cysteamine, an aminothiol, should be applied to the patient as soon as possible in order to preserve renal function and improve growth in affected *** is the only specific drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration for cystinosis. Although it cannot reverse the existing kidney damage, it was reported that 1 7 patients treated with cysteamine for 7 years recovered almost normal kidney function and, more importantly, they grew *** report suggested that cysteamine treatment could postpone end-stage kidney damage for 10-20 years. However, the immediate challenge lies in the access to the necessary medication in China for the management ofcystinosis. Here, we report the case of two sibling boys with cystinosis in order to raise awareness to the international community about the urgent need for worldwide policy and action for such rare diseases.

Background： This meta-analysis was to determine the association of the cumulative dose of 130/0.4 or 0.42 （hydroxyethyl starch [HES] 130/0.4＊） or delta daily fluid balance （i.e., daily fluid balance in HES group over or below control group） with the heterogeneity of risk ratio （RR） for mortality in randomized control trials （RCTs）. Methods： Three databases （PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane） were searched to identify prospective RCTs reporting mortality in adult patients with sepsis to compare HES 130/0.4＊ with crystalloids or albumin. Meta-analysis was performed using random effects. Sensitivity and meta-regression analyses were used to examine the heterogeneity sources of RR for mortality, Results： A total number of 4408 patients from 11 RCTs were included. The pooled RR showed no significant difference for overall mortality in patients with administration of liES130/0.4＂ compared with treatment of control fluids （RR： 1.02, 95% confidence interval： 0.9-1.17; P = 0.73）. Heterogeneity was moderate across recruited trials （l^2 = 34%, P = 0.13）. But, a significant variation was demonstrated in subgroup with crystalloids as control fluids （l^2 = 42%, P 〈 0.1）. Sensitivity analysis revealed that trials with high risk of bias did not significantly impact the pooled estimates for mortality. Meta-regression analysis also did not determine a dose-effect relationship of HES 130/0.4＊ with mortality （P - 0.298）, but suggested daily delta fluid balance being likely associated with mortality in septic patients receiving HES130/130/0.4＊（P = 0.079）.Conclusions： Inappropriate daily positive fluid balance was likely an important source of heterogeneity in these trials reporting HES 130/0.4＊ associated with excess mortality in septic patients.

Background:Total and differential white blood cell counts are important for the diagnostic evaluation of suspected *** facilitate the interpretation of total and differential white blood cell counts in pediatric patients,the present study investigated agedependent changes in total and differential white blood cell counts in healthy reference ***:Data were obtained from the Pediatric Reference Intervals in China study(PRINCE),which aims to establish and verify pediatric reference intervals for Chinese children based on a nationwide multicenter cross-sectional study from January 2017 to December *** curves were calculated using the generalized additive models for location,shape,and scale *** 2.5th,50th,and 97.5th quantile curves were calculated for both total and differential white blood *** of stacked area charts were used to demonstrate the proportions of differential white blood *** statistical analyses were performed using R ***:Both 50th and 97.5th quantiles of total white blood cell count and monocyte count were highest at birth,then rapidly decreased in the first 6 months of life;relatively slow reduction continued until 2 years of *** lymphocyte count was low during infancy and increased to its highest level at 6 months of age;it then exhibited moderate and continuous reduction until approximately 9 years of *** pattern of neutrophil count changed with age in a manner opposite to that of lymphocyte ***,there were two inter-sections of lymphocyte count and neutrophil count during infancy and at approximately 5 years of age,based on locally weighted regression(LOESS)*** were no apparent age-related changes in eosinophil or basophil ***:These data regarding age-related changes in total and differential white blood cell counts can be used to assess the health of pediatric patients and guide clinical decisions.
