Metrological traceable calibration of organic carbon and elemental carbon based on laboratory-generated reference materials

Carbonaceous aerosol,including organic carbon(OC)and elemental carbon(EC),has significant influence on human health,air quality and climate *** measurement of carbonaceous aerosol is essential to reduce the uncertainty of radiative forcing estimation and source *** accurate separation of OC and EC is controversial due to the charring of ***,the development of reference materials(RM)for the validation of OC/EC separation is an important basis for further *** RMs were mainly based on ambient air sampling,w.ich could not provide traceability of OC and EC *** develop traceable RMs with known OC/EC contents,our study applied an improved aerosol generation and mixing technique,providing uniform deposition of particles on quartz *** generate OC aerosol with similar pyrolytic property of ambient aerosol,both water soluble organic carbon(wSOC)and water insoluble organic carbon(wiOC)were used,and amorphous carbon was selected for EC *** RMs were analyzed using different *** homogeneity within the filter was validated,reaching below 2%.The long-term stability of RMs has been validated with RSD ranged from 1.7%–3.2%.Good correlationwas observed between nominal concentration of RMswithmeasured concentration by two protocols,w.ile the difference of EC concentration was within 20%.The results indicated that the newly developed RMs were acceptable for the calibration of OC and EC,w.ich could improve the accuracy of carbonaceous aerosol ***,the laboratory-generated EC-RMs could be suitable for the calibration of equivalent BC concentration by Aethalometers.

in this study,we investigate the critical phenomena of Kerr-AdS black holes under the modified first law of ***,we considered modified black hole thermodynamics that exhibit a van der waalslike phase *** critical exponents were calculated,and then,a swallowtail diagram of free energy was *** with existing results,the main difference is the correspondence between the thermal quantities of Kerr-AdS black holes and the van der waals *** a previous study[***,***,and ***,***.D 85044005(2012)],the correspondence was(Ω_(H),J)→(V,P),w.ile in our study,the correspondence was(J,Ω_(H))→(V,P).This difference was owing to the rotating *** modified black hole thermodynamics were associated with rotating *** free energy in such a reference contains extra rotating energy,w.ich induces a Legendre transformation in the(Ω_(H),J)cross-section,causing the difference in correspondence.

Evolution and generation mechanism of retained oil in lacustrine shales: A combined ReaxFF-MD and pyrolysis simulation perspective

To accurately investigate the evolution characteristics and generation mechanism of retained oil, the study analyzed organic-rich lacustrine shale samples from the Paleogene Kongdian Formation in Cangdong Sag, Bohai Bay Basin. This analysis involves Rock-Eval pyrolysis, pyrolysis simulation experiments,Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer（GC-MS）, and reactive molecular dynamics simulations（Reax FF）. The results revealed the retained oil primarily consisted of n-alkanes with carbon numbers ranging from C14to C36. The generation of retained oil occurred through three stages. A slow growth stage of production rate was observed before reaching the peak of oil production in Stage i. Stage ii involved a rapid increase in oil retention, with C12-C17and C24-C32serving as the primary components,increasing continuously during the pyrolysis process. The generation process involved the cleavage of weak bonds, including bridging bonds（hydroxyl, oxy, peroxy, imino, amino, and nitro）, ether bonds, and acid amides in the first stage（Ro= 0.50%-0.75%）. The carbon chains in aromatic ring structures with heteroatomic functional groups breaks in the second stage（Ro= 0.75%-1.20%）. in the third stage（Ro= 1.20%-2.50%）, the ring structures underwent ring-opening reactions to synthesize iso-short-chain olefins and radicals, w.ile further breakdown of aliphatic chains occurred. By coupling pyrolysis simulation experiments and molecular simulation technology, the evolution characteristics and bond breaking mechanism of retained oil in three stages were revealed, providing a reference for the formation and evolution mechanism of retained oil.

Thermo-Hydraulic Performances of Microchannel Heat Sinks with Different Types of Perforated Rectangular Blocks

The behavior of single-phase flow and conjugate heat transfer in micro-channel heat sinks(MCHS)subjected to auniform heat flux is investigated by means of numerical *** geometrical configurations areexamined,particularly,the combinations of rectangular solid and perforated blocks,used to create a disturbancein the *** analysis focuses on several key aspects and related metrics,including the temperature distribution,the mean Fanning friction factor,the pressure drop,the Nusselt number,and the overall heat transfer coefficientacross a range of Reynolds numbers(80–870).it is shown that the introduction of such blocks significantlyenhances the heat transfer performances of the MCHS compared to the straight-through flow ***,a case is found where the Nusselt number increases by 2.3 times relative to the reference *** integrationof perforated blocks facilitates the generation of vorticity within the channel,promoting the mixing of coldand hot ***,MCHS incorporating perforated rectangular blocks exhibit more pronounced heat transferbenefits at Reynolds numbers smaller than 400.

Observation of topological charge transformations in acoustic vortex using passive periodic systems

Vortex transmutation utilizes a periodic system,w.ich not only enables the alteration of the topological charge(TC)of unstable input vortices but also facilitates their transformation into stable *** approach is crucial for investigating the characteristics of vortices in various wave ***,we achieve acoustic vortex TC transmutation by employing a welldesigned dual-structured plate external system(DPES).The interactions between the acoustic vortex and the finite-order discrete rotational symmetry lead to the transformation of its topological charge when complete rotational symmetry is broken to Nthorder discrete *** results experimentally demonstrate the acoustic vortex TC transmutation based on passive artificial structures,enabling numerous applications in particle manipulation and information multiplexing as well as advancing our understanding and control over free-space acoustic vortices.

in this work,we employed a ring-opening strategy to develop a series of novel N-benzyl arylamide derivatives as tubulin polymerization ***,13n （MY-1388） exhibited remarkable antiproliferative potency on fifteen human cancer cell lines,with half maximal inhibitory concentration (iC50)values ranging from 8 nmol/L to 48 nmol/***,13n effectively suppressed tubulin polymerization by targeting the colchicine-binding site (iC50=0.62μmol/L).13n also exhibited significant inhibition of cell colony formation,as well as displayed potent effects on inducing G2/M phase cell cycle arrest and promoting ***,13n exhibited enhanced and adequate liver microsomal stability in human and rat liver microsomes,and also exhibited a moderate half-life (T1/2=0.938 h) in ***,13n demonstrated effective antitumor effects in vivo in suppressing tumor growth in the MGC-803xenograft model (tumor growth inhibition （TGi） value was 76.4%at the dosage of 30 mg kg-1day-1)with a good safety ***,these results revealed that 13n represents a promising tubulin polymerization inhibitor that deserves further investigation for its efficacy in treating gastric cancers.

Highly conductive and stable iodine doped argyrodite electrolyte for all-solid-state lithium batteries

Lithium argyrodites with high ionic conductivity and low cost are considered as one of the most prospective solid electrolytes for all-solid-state lithium ***,the poor chemical stability and compatibility with lithium metal limit their ***,Li_(5.4)PS_(4.4)Cl1.4i0.2solid electrolyte with high ionic conductivity of 11.49 m S ccm^(-1)and improved chemical stability is synthesized by iodine *** ultra-thin Li_(5.4)PS_(4.4)Cl_(1.4)i_(0.2)membrane with thickness of 10μm can be obtained by wet coating process,exhibiting a high ionic conductivity of 2.09 mS ccm^(-1)and low areal resistance of 1.17Ωcm^(-2).Moreover,iodine doping could in-situ form Lii at the lithium/electrolyte interface and improve the critical current density of Li_(5.4)PS_(4.4)Cl_(1.6)from 0.8 to 1.35 mA cm^(-2).The resultant LiCoO_(2)/Li_(5.4)PS_(4.4)Cl_(1.4)i_(0.2)/Li battery shows excellent cycling stability at 1 C,with a reversible specific capacity of 110.1 mA h g^(-1)and a retention of 80.5% after 1000 *** addition,the assembled LiCoO_(2)/Li_(5.4)PS_(4.4)Cl_(1.4)i_(0.2)membrane/Li pouch cell delivers an initial discharge capacity of 110.4 mA h g^(-1)and 80.5% capacity retention after 100 cycles.

Probing the special angle in twisted bilayer MoS_(2)via angle-dependent scanning tunneling microscopy studies

Twisted transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)homo-bilayers host unique quantum properties,w.ich can be tuned by interlayer twist angleθ.However,the systematic evolution of their typical electronic properties with respect to the twist angleθ,w.ich is crucial for identifying the“special angle”analogous to the“magic angle”of twisted bilayer graphene in correlation physics studies,remains incompletely ***,via scanning tunneling microscopy(STM)and spectroscopy(STS),we investigate the variation of the moirépotential,flat band,and layer polarization characteristics across a wide range of twist angleθin twisted bilayer MoS_(2)(TB-MoS_(2)).The moirépotential of the valence band exhibits a non-monotonic variation withθ,peaking at a maximum value up to 204 me Vatθ~1.7°.Concurrently,at the sameθ,the bandwidth of the flat band at theΓ_(V)point of the valence band attains its minimum,precisely signifying the“special angle”θ_(c)~1.7°in TB-MoS_(2).interestingly,layer polarization in the moirésuperlattice is spatially visualized through the distribution of local density of states(LDOS)at the energies of bothΓ_(V)and K_(V)points of the valence band,where the polarization degree at theΓ_(V)point demonstrates a close dependency onθ.Our findings deepen understanding of twist-angle effect in TMDs,advancing both fundamental physics and practical application.
