A novel macrocycle based on conformation-adaptive and electron-rich dihydrophenazine was designed and *** the one hand,the macrocycle showed host-guest interactions with tetracyanoquinodimethane(TCNQ)driving by charge transfer interaction between ***,host-guest complexation was accompanied by fluorescence quenching and conformational change of the *** the other hand,the oxidation of the macrocycle resulted in its diradical cation analogue and induced the release of the guest molecule TCNQ,thereby accomplishing reversible binding ***,this work wellillustrates the chemical and structural versatility of dihydrophenazine in the synthesis of macrocycles and their host-guest chemistry.

The Lamiaceae family is renowned for its terpenoid-based medicinal components,but Leonurus,which has traditional medicinal uses,stands out for its alkaloid-rich ***,the principal active compound found in Leonurus,has demonstrated promising effects in reducing blood lipids and treating ***,the biosynthetic pathway of leonurine remains largely ***,we present the chromosome-level genome sequence assemblies of Leonurus japonicus,known for its high leonurine production,and Leonurus sibiricus,characterized by very limited leonurine *** integrating genomics,RNA sequencing,metabolomics,and enzyme activity assay data,we constructed the leonurine biosynthesis pathway and identified the arginine decarboxylase(ADC),uridine diphosphate glucosyltransferase(UGT),and serine carboxypeptidase-like(SCPL)acyltransferase enzymes that catalyze key reactions in this *** analyses revealed that the UGT–SCPL gene cluster evolved by gene duplication in the ancestor of Leonurus and neofunctionalization of SCPL in ***,which contributed to the accumulation of leonurine specifically in ***,our comprehensive study illuminates leonurine biosynthesis and its evolution in Leonurus.

The therapeutic outcomes of conventional oral medications against ulcerative colitis(UC)are restricted by inefficient drug delivery to the colitis mucosa and weak capacity to modulate the inflammatory ***,a fluorinated pluronic(FP127)was synthesized and employed to functionalize the surface of mulberry leaf-derived nanoparticles(MLNs)loading with resveratrol nanocrystals(RNs).The obtained FP127@RN-MLNs possessed exosome-like morphologies,desirable particle sizes(around 171.4 nm),and negatively charged surfaces(−14.8 mV).The introduction of FP127 to RN-MLNs greatly improved their stability in the colon and promoted their mucus infiltration and mucosal penetration capacities due to the unique fluorine effect.

Double carbohelicenes have attracted considerable attention due to their aesthetic structures, distinct π-conjugation extension, inherent chirality, and intriguing optical and electronic properties. Herein, the concise de novo synthesis of a new double[5]carbohelicene 1 together with its chiroptical properties, isomerization process and lasing application is presented. 1 was synthesized by a simple protocol involving the formation of a 6,6′-bipentacene as the key intermediate. It is worth noting that1 existed as two diastereomers 1-PP/MM and 1-PM, which were successfully isolated and unambiguously confirmed by Xray crystallography. The optical resolution of the racemic 1-PP/MM was successfully achieved by chiral-phase highperformance liquid chromatography（HPLC）, and 1-PP and 1-MM were characterized by circular dichroism. Interestingly, it was found that 1-PP/MM could be completely isomerized to 1-PM upon heating, and the detailed thermodynamics and kinetics of the isomerization process were systematically investigated. 1-PM exhibited deep-red luminescence with emission maximum at 723 nm and fluorescence quantum yield as high as 32.95%. Consequently, we can showcase the lasing application of 1-PM by doping with epoxy resin to assemble a bottle microlaser spontaneously, which the lasing wavelength is796.6 nm at a threshold of 0.8 mJ cm-2. We believe that our studies, including the facile synthesis methodology, detailed isomerization studies, and lasing application, will shed some light on the design and synthesis of novel carbohelical systems with more functions.

Background: Patients with Parkinson's disease(PD) undergoing long-term levodopa therapy are prone to develop levodopa-induced dyskinesia(LID). Amantadine is the main drug recommended for the treatment of LID by current guidelines, but it is far from meeting clinical needs. Tianqi Pingchan Granule(TPG), a compound Chinese herbal medicine, has been developed to relieve symptom of ***: This randomized controlled trial evaluated the efficacy and safety of the combination of TPG and amantadine for ***, setting, participants and interventions: This is a randomized double-blind placebo-controlled trial,conducted from January 2020 to August 2021 at 6 sites in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, China. One hundred PD patients with ≥ 0.5 h of LID were randomly assigned to either the TPG plus amantadine group(TPG group) or the placebo plus amantadine group(placebo group), and treated for a period of12 weeks. To ensure unbiased results, all study participants, investigators and sponsors were unaware of group allocations. Additionally, the data analysts remained blinded until the analysis was *** outcome measures: The primary outcome was assessed using the Unified Dyskinesia Rating Scale(UDysRS)(Range 0–104). The key secondary end point was improvement of motor and non-motor symptoms. Safety analyses included all enrolled ***: One hundred patients were enrolled and randomized into the two treatment groups. The changes in UDysRS at week 12 were –11.02 for the TPG group and –4.19 for the placebo group(treatment difference –6.83 [–10.53 to –3.12]; P = 0.0004). Adverse events were reported for 2 of 50 patients(4.0%) in each of the ***: This study indicated that a 12-week treatment of amantadine plus TPG effectively reduced UDysRS scores and was well tolerated, demonstrating the efficacy and safety of TPG for the treatment of LID in PD.
