Discrimination of Pb-Zn deposit types using sphalerite geochemistry: New insights from machine learning algorithm

Due to the combined influences such as ore-forming temperature,fluid and metal sources,sphalerite tends to incorporate diverse contents of trace elements during the formation of different types of Lead-zinc(Pb-Zn)***,trace elements in sphalerite have long been utilized to distinguish Pb-Zn deposit ***,previous discriminant diagrams usually contain two or three dimensions,which are limited to revealing the complicated interrelations between trace elements of sphalerite and the types of Pb-Zn *** this study,we aim to prove that the sphalerite trace elements can be used to classify the Pb-Zn deposit types and extract key factors from sphalerite trace elements that can dis-criminate Pb-Zn deposit types using machine learning algorithms.A dataset of nearly 3600 sphalerite spot analyses from 95 Pb-Zn deposits worldwide determined by LA-ICP-MS was compiled from peer-reviewed publications,containing 12 elements(Mn,Fe,Co,Cu,Ga,Ge,Ag,Cd,In,Sn,Sb,and Pb)from 5 types,including Sedimentary Exhalative(SEDEX),Mississippi Valley Type(MVT),Volcanic Massive Sulfide(VMS),skarn,and epithermal *** Forests(RF)is applied to the data processing and the results show that trace elements of sphalerite can successfully discriminate different types of Pb-Zn deposits except for VMS deposits,most of which are falsely distinguished as skarn and epithermal *** further discriminate VMS deposits,future studies could focus on enlarging the capacity of VMS deposits in datasets and applying other geological factors along with sphalerite trace elements when con-structing the classification ***’s feature importance and permutation feature importance were adopted to evaluate the element significance for ***,a visualized tool,t-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding(t-SNE),was used to verify the results of both classification and *** results presented here show that Mn,Co,and Ge display significant impacts on classifica

Effect of coronary artery revascularization on in-hospital outcomes and long-term prognoses in acute myocardial infarction patients with prior ischemic stroke

Objective To investigate whether coronary artery revascularization therapies （CART）, including percutaneous coronary intervention （PCI） and coronary artery bypass grafting （CABG）, can improve the in-hospital and long-term outcomes for acute myocardial infarction （AMI） patients with prior ischemic stroke （IS）. Methods A total of 387 AMI patients with prior IS were enrolled consecutively from January 15, 2005 to December 24, 2011 in this cohort study. All patients were categorized into the CART group （n = 204） or the conservative medications （CM） group （n = 183）. In-hospital cardiocerebral events and long-term mortality of the two groups after an average follow-up of 36 months were recorded by Kaplan-Meier survival curves and compared by Logistic regression and the Cox regression model. Results The CART patients were younger （66.5 ± 9.7 years vs. 71.7 ± 9.7 years, P 〈 0.01）, had less non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction （11.8% vs. 20.8%, P = 0.016） and more multiple-vascular coronary lesions （50% vs. 69.4%, P = 0.031）. The hospitalization incidence of cardiocerebral events in the CART group was 9.3% while 26.2% in the CM group （P 〈 0.01）. CART significantly reduced the risk of in-hospital cardiocerebral events by 65% [adjusted odds ratio （OR） = 0.35, 95% CI： 0.13-0.92]. By the end of follow-up, 57 cases （41.6%） died in CM group （n = 137） and 24 cases （12.2%） died in CART group （n = 197）. Cox regression indicated that CART decreased the long-term mortality by 72% [adjusted hazard ratio （HR） = 0.28, 95% CI： 0.064）.46], while categorical analysis indicated no s{gnificant dif- ference between PCI and CABG. Conclusions CART has a significant effect on improving the in-hospital and long-term prognoses for AMI patients with prior IS.

Synthesis and Characterization of Chitosan-graft-Poly(lactic acid) Copolymer

Chitosan-graft-poly（lactic acid）（CS-g-PLA） copolymer was synthesized through emulsion self-assembly in a water-in-oil （W/O） microemulsion. The water phase was composed of CS aqueous solution, while the oil phase was made up of PLA in chloroform. The W/O microemulsion was fabricated in the presence of surfactant span-80 and the self-assembly was performed between PLA and CS under the effect of N-（3-dimethylaminopropyl）-N＇ethylcarbodiimide hydrochloride （EDC＇HCI）. FTIR and IH-NMR analysis indicated PLA was grafted onto the backbone of CS via the reaction between the carboxyl groups in PLA and the amino groups in CS. 1H-NMR characterization further revealed the grafting content of PLA was 16%. The obtained CS-g-PLA could self-assemble to form micelles, their size distributed in the range of 125-375 nm with average diameter of 142 nm. The present design integrates the favorable biological properties of CS and the excellent mechanical properties of PLA, which makes CS-g-PLA copolymer a promising candidate as a carrier for targeted bioactive molecules delivery.

A Theoretical Scheme for Multiparty Multi-particle State Sharing

A theoretical scheme for multiparty multi-particle state sharing is proposed. After she introduces auxiliary particles and Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen （EPIC） pairs, the sender （Alice） performs Hadamard （14） gate operations and Controlled-NOT （CNOT） gate operations on them. Subsequently, the sender leaves one particle sequence and distributes the rest particles to the other participants. And then, the sender makes Bell-state measurements on her particles and publishes the measurement outcomes via the classical channel to realize the quantum state sharing among the others. Only the simple operations are used to realize quantum state sharing. The sender may increase or decrease the number of the participants by changing the number of the auxiliary particles.

Controlled Quantum Teleportation of a One-Particle Unknown State via a Three-Particle Entangled State

A kind of three-particle entangled state is applied as quantum channel of the controlled quantum teleporration of a one-particle unknown state. The one-particle unknown state is transmitted from the sender to the recipient under the control of the supervisor. After the sender makes Bell-state measurement and the supervisor performs von Neumann measurement, the recipient carries out unitary transformation on his own particle depending on classical information from the sender and the supervisor. The teleportation cannot be completed successfully by the recipient if the supervisor does not agree to cooperate. The roles of the recipient and the supervisor may be exchanged in this scheme. The scheme is flexible and feasible because the sequence of manipulation of the sender and the supervisor may be exchanged and only simple unitary transformation is included.

Quantum Teleportation Schemes of an N-Particle State via Three-Particle General W States

Two schemes of teleporting an N-particle arbitrary and unknown state are proposed when N groups of three- particle general W states are utilized as quantum channels. In the first scheme, the quantum channels are shared by the sender and the recipient. After the sender＇s Bell-state measurements on his （her） particles, the recipient carries out unitary transformations on his （her） particles. And then, the recipient performs computational basis measurements to realize the teleportation. The recipient can recover the state on either of particle sequences with the equal maximal probability of successful teleportation if he （she） performs appropriate unitary transformations. In the second scheme, the quantum channels are shared by the sender, the recipient and the third ones. After the sender＇s Be11-state measurements and the third ones＇ computational basis measurements if they agree to cooperate, the recipient will introduce auxiliary particles and carry out appropriate unitary transformations. Finally, the recipient performs computational basis measurements to fulfill the teleportation. The second scheme can be realized if and only if the third ones agree to cooperate with the recipient.

If the quantum channel is secure, the sender performs projective measurements and tells the measurement outcome to the receiver. The receiver performs the unitary transformations and makes projective measurements on his particles to obtain the secret information. Banded structure control of low carbon microalloyed steel based on oxide metallurgy

Banded structure is a common harmful microstructure for low carbon microalloyed steel,which seriously shortens the service life of processed *** order to study the effect of oxide metallurgy on improving banded structure,the Ti-Zr deoxidized low carbon microalloyed steel that can play the oxide metallurgical role of inclusion was chosen as the research object,and the inclusion characteristics,microstructure and transverse and longitudinal mechanical properties after hot rolling were *** results showed the inclusion number density increased in all experimental steels after hot rolling,and a large number of long strip inclusions with aspect ratio greater than 3 appeared along the rolling *** addition,after hot rolling,there were element segregation bands in the experimental steels,and granular bainite bands were formed in the element enrichment ***,the intragranular ferrite generated in the cooling process destroyed the continuity of granular bainite bands,so that the microstructure anisotropy indexes of experimental steels were *** mechanical properties analysis showed that the anisotropy of performance was mainly reflected in plasticity and toughness in the experimental *** them,the difference ratio of elongation,section shrinkage and impact energy of No.2 steel was 1.69%,3.87% and 1.69%,respectively,which were less than those of No.1 steel and No.3 *** anisotropy of microstructure and mechanical properties of No.2 steel that full played the role of oxide metallurgy were improved,and the banded structure control of low carbon microalloyed steel can be realized by oxide metallurgy technology.

Epidemic Spread in Networks Induced by Deactivation Mechanism

We have studied the topology and epidemic spreading behaviors on the networks in which deactivation mechanism and long-rang connection are coexisted. By means of numerical simulation, we find that the clustering coefficient C and the Pearson correlation coefficient r decrease with increasing long-range connection μ and the topological state of the network changes into that of BA model at the end （when μ = 1）. For the Susceptible-Infect-Susceptible model of epidemics, the epidemic threshold can reach maximum value at μ = 0.4 and presents two different variable states around μ= 0.4.
