V0405 Dra is a W UMa-type binary *** on the TESS data,we have conducted an orbital period study and performed a light curve analysis for the *** orbital period study reveals that the O-C curve for V0405 Dra exhibits secular decrease at an extremely high rate of d P/dt=-2.71×10^(-6)day year^(-1),along with periodic variations characterized by an amplitude of A_(3)=0.0032 day and a period of P_(3)=1.413 *** orbital periodic change is possibly due to the light-travel time effect resulting from an additional third body in the system,for which we estimate a minimum mass of M_(3)=0.77M_(⊙).By employing the 2013 version of the Wilson-Devinney(W-D)method to synthesize a light curve,we derived photometric solutions indicating that V0405 Dra is a new deep(f=68.7%)and low-mass ratio(q=0.175)contact *** fast decrease in its orbital period is likely caused by mass transfer from the more massive primary star to the less massive secondary star,or due to angular momentum *** further mass transfer and loss of angular momentum,the binary will gradually evolve into a tighter contact configuration,eventually leading to a merger into a single star,following the evolutionary paths suggested for such deep and low mass ratio contact binaries.

Proton exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs) have been identified as a highly promising means of achieving sustainable energy conversion. A crucial factor in enhancing the performance of PEMFCs for further potential energy applications is the advancement in the field of catalyst engineering that has led to remarkable performance enhancement in facilitating the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR). Subsequently, it is important to acknowledge that the techniques used in preparation of membrane electrode assemblies(MEAs), the vital constituents of PEMFCs, also possess direct and critical influence on exhibiting the full catalytic activity of meticulously crafted catalysts. Here, a succinct summary of the most recent advancements in Pt catalysts for ORR was offered and their underly catalytic mechanism were discussed. Then, both laboratory-scale and industrial-scale MEA fabrication techniques of Pt catalysts were summarized. Furthermore, a detailed analysis of the connections between materials, process, and performance in MEA fabrication was presented in order to facilitate the development of optimal catalyst layers.

As an earth-abundant and environmentally friendly material,tin sulfide(SnS)is not only a high-performance photovoltaic material,but also a new promising thermoelectric *** extensive research on the thermoelectric properties of this material in recent years,the room-temperature thermoelectric figure of merit(ZT)of SnS has not been broke through 2[2022 *** Mater.651143].In this work,based on a combination of density functional theory and non-equilibrium Green’s function method,the electronic and thermoelectric properties in SnS-nanoribbon-based heterojunctions are *** results show that although SnS nanoribbons(SNSNRs)with zigzag edges(ZSNSNRs)and armchair edges(ASNSNRs)both have semiconductor properties,the bandgaps of ASNSNRs are much wider than those of ZSNSNRs,which induces much wider conductance gaps of𝑁-ASNSNR(N𝑁is the number of tin-sulfide lines across the ribbon width)).In the positive energy region,the ZT peaks of𝐿l-SNS-Au are much larger than those of𝐿l-SNS-GNR(l𝐿represents the number of longitudinal repeating units of SNSNR in the scattering region).While in the positive energy region,the ZT peaks of𝐿-SNSGNR are larger than those of𝐿-*** calculations reveal that the figure of merit will be over 3.7 in l-SNS-Au and 2.2 in𝐿l-SNS-GNR at room temperature,and over 4 in𝐿l-SNS-Au and 2.6 in𝐿l-SNS-GNR at 500 K.

Photoresponsiveness of materials is critical to their tunability and efficiency in terminal *** metal-organic polyhedra(PMOPs)feature intrinsic pores and remote controllability,but aggregation of PMOPs in solid state hampers their photoresponsiveness ***,we report the construction of a new PMOP(Cu_(24)(C_(16)H_(12)N_(2)O_(4))_(12)(C_(18)H_(22)O_(5))12,denoted as MOP-PR-lA),where long alkyl(lA)chains act as the intermolecular poles,propping against adjacent PMOP molecules to create individual microenvironment benefiting the isomerization of photoresponsive(PR)*** ultraviolet(UV)-and visible-light irradiation,MOP-PR-lA is much easier to isomerize than the counterpart MOP-PR without *** propylene adsorption,MOP-PR has a low change of adsorption capacity(9.9%),while that of MOP-PR-lA reaches 58.6%.Density functional theory calculations revealed that PR in the cis state has a negative effect on adsorption,while the trans state of PR favors *** work might open an avenue for the construction of photoresponsive materials with high responsiveness and controllability.

Catastrophic geological disasters frequently occur on slopes with obliquely inclined bedding structures(also referred to as obliquely inclined bedding slopes),where the apparent dip sliding is not readily *** phenomenon has become a focal point in landslide ***,there is a lack of studies on the failure modes and mechanisms of hidden,steep obliquely inclined bedding *** study investigated the Shanyang landslide in Shaanxi Province,*** field investigations,laboratory tests of geotechnical parameters,and the 3DEC software,this study developed a numerical model of the landslide to analyze the failure process of such *** findings indicate that the Shanyang landslide primarily crept along a weak interlayer under the action of *** landslide,initially following a dip angle with the support of a stable inclined rock mass,shifted direction under the influence of argillization in the weak interlayer,moving towards the apparent dip *** slide resistance effect of the karstic dissolution zone was increasingly significant during this process,with lateral friction being the primary resistance force.A reduction in the lateral friction due to karstic dissolution made the apparent dip sliding characteristics of the Shanyang landslide more ***,deformations such as bending and uplift at the slope’s foot suggest that the main slide resistance shifts from lateral friction within the karstic dissolution zone to the slope foot’s resistance force,leading to the eventual buckling failure of the *** study unveils a novel failure mode of apparent dip creep-buckling in the Shanyang landslide,highlighting the critical role of lateral friction from the karstic dissolution zone in its failure *** insights offer a valuable reference for mitigating risks and preventing disasters related to obliquely inclined bedding landslides.

liNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(NCM811)is the most promising cathode for high-energy li-ion batteries,despite its poor cycling stability that originates from the reactions that occur with the ***,to solve this interfacial issue,a facile electrolytic electrochemical polymerization process was introduced in this paper,and a uniform conductive electrolyte interface(polyaniline)was successfully constructed on the surface of the NCM811 porous electrode(PANI-NCM),which facilitated the charge transfer during charge/*** side reactions at the interface between the cathode and the electrolyte are suppressed,and thereby,the cycling performance and rate capability are considerably ***-NCM delivers an initial capacity of 157.2 mAh·g^(-1)as well as excellent cyclability(capacity retention of 88%after 500 cycles at 2C),whereas the capacity of the bare NCM811 has dropped to 31.3 mAh·g^(-1).In addition,polypyrrole and polythiophene also can be formed through electrolytic electrochemical polymerization process,which provides a practicable tactic to modify the interfacial stability of cathodes for high-energy li-ion batteries.

Mn-based zinc ion battery has the advantages of low cost and high performance,which makes it the promising energy storage ***,the poor conductivity and the agglomeration in the synthesis process of manganese-based materials restrict the performance of ***,the Se-doped MnS/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)(Se-MnS/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x))composite material derived from Mn-based metal-organic framework is *** tests show that Se-doped could generate S defects and enhance the electrochemical activity of *** the same time,the introduction of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) substrate is conducive to exposing more sulfur defects and improving the utilization rate of *** the mechanism study,it is found that Se-MnS/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) is transformed into S/Se co-doped Mn3O_(4) at the first charge,which innovatively elucidated the behavior of S/Se during *** the electrochemical performance test,the specific capacity can reach 74.7 mAh·g^(-1) at 5.0 A·g^(-1).In addition,the Zn-Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) membrane electrode is prepared by vacuum filtration as the zinc-poor anode,which is assembled into the rocking chair full battery to avoid dendrite growth and exhibit excellent rate *** addition of Zn2+weakens the electrostatic repulsion between the interlayers of MXene,and the formation of the folded morphology aids the penetration of the *** 1.0 A·g^(-1),the capacity can reach 50.6 mAh·g^(-1).This work is helpful to promote the research and development of the reaction mechanism of manganese based rocking chair batteries.

Quasi-solid-state lithium metal batteries(QSSlMBs)assembled with polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)are a promising class of next-generation rechargeable batteries due to their safety,high energy density,and superior interfacial ***,PVDF has a series of inherent drawbacks such as low ionic conductivity,ease of crystallization,and hydrophobic character that leading to poor cell *** tackle these issues,a lignin-reinforced PVDF electrolyte is proposed in this work to solve these drawbacks of PVDF and enhance the comprehensive performance of *** lithophilic polar groups of lignin can promote uniform deposition of li on the *** with the improved mechanical properties can efficiently prevent li dendrites penetration through the *** addition,more active sites provided by lignin can also enhance li^(+)transport and lead to a faster electrochemical reaction *** from the ingenious design,li symmetric cells with 5%lignin-PVDF quasi-solid-state electrolyte can operate for 900 h at a high current density/capacity of 5 mA·cm^(-2)/5 mAh·cm^(-2),while shortcircuiting occurs after 56 h for the counterpart(pure PVDF).Moreover,a full cell of li/5%lignin-PVDF/lFP cell demonstrates a high capacity of 96.2 mAh·g^(-1)after 2000 cycles at 10 *** work is expected to open up promising opportunities to develop other high-energy/power-density QSSlMBs.
