VASCULAR ENDOTHELIAL INJURIES AND CHANGES OF BLOOD COAGULATION AND FIBRINOLYSIS INDEXES IN PATIENTS WITH ACUTE RESPIRATORY DISTRESS SYNDROME

Objective To study endothelial damage by observing changes of circulating endothelial cells (CECs) in blood, coagula-tion and fibrinolysis index in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome. Methods CECs were separated by isopycnic centrifugation method in 14 patients with acute lung injury (ALI), 7 patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), 10 intensive care unit (ICU) controls, and 15 healthy controls. Plasma prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), fibrinogen (FG), fibrin degradation products (FDP), and D-dimer were examined simultaneously. Acute physiology and chronic health evaluation (APACHE)Ⅱand lung injury score (LIS) were recorded to evaluate severity of illness and lung injury. Results (1) The number of CECs in ALI (10.4 ±2.3) and ARDS groups (16.1 ±2.7) was higher than that in the healthy (1.9 ±0.5) (P< 0.01). In both ALI and ARDS, the number of CECs correlated with APACHEⅡ(r=0.55, P< 0.05 and r=0.62, P< 0.05, respectively)and LIS (r=0.60, P< 0.05 and r=0.53, P< 0.05, respectively). CEC number was negatively correlated with PaO 2 in ALI and ARDS (r=-0.49, P< 0.05 and r=-0.64, P< 0.05, respectively). (2) The level of FDP and D-dimer were higher in ALI and ARDS patients than that in ICU and healthy control groups (P< 0.05). The level of FG in ARDS group was significantly higher than in the ICU and healthy control groups (P< 0.05). But in ALI group, the level of FG was significantly higher than only healthy control group (P< 0.05). Conclusions Endothelial cell damage occurs in ARDS patients, which may play a major role in the pathophysiology of ARDS. Changes of endothelial cell activation and damage markers, such as CECs, plasma coagulation and fibrinolysis index, to some extent reflect severity of illness and lung injury in ARDS.

Methane, an abundant one-carbon（C1） resource, is extensively used in the industrial production of vital fuels and value-added chemicals. However, current industrial methane conversion technologies are energy-and carbon-intensive, mainly due to the high activation energy required to break the inert C–H bond, low selectivity, and problematic side reactions, including CO2emissions and coke deposition. Electrochemical conversion of methane（ECM） using intermittent renewable energy offers an attractive solution, due to its modular reactor design and operational flexibility across a broad spectrum of temperatures and pressures. This review emphasizes conversion pathways of methane in various reaction systems, highlighting the significance and advantages of ECM in facilitating a sustainable artificial carbon cycle. This work provides a comprehensive overview of conventional methane activation mechanisms and delineates the complete pathways of methane conversion in electrolysis contexts. Based on surface/interface chemistry, this work systematically analyzes proposed reaction pathways and corresponding strategies to enhance ECM efficiency towards various target products, including syngas, hydrocarbons, oxygenates, and advanced carbon materials. The discussion also encompasses opportunities and challenges for the ECM process, including insights into ECM pathways, rational electrocatalyst design, establishment of benchmarking protocols, electrolyte engineering, enhancement of CH4conversion rates, and minimization of CO2emission.

Design of a cationic accelerator enabling ultrafast ion diffusion kinetics in aqueous zinc-ion batteries

Highly conductive and stable iodine doped argyrodite electrolyte for all-solid-state lithium batteries

Lithium argyrodites with high ionic conductivity and low cost are considered as one of the most prospective solid electrolytes for all-solid-state lithium ***,the poor chemical stability and compatibility with lithium metal limit their ***,Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2solid electrolyte with high ionic conductivity of 11.49 m S cm-1and improved chemical stability is synthesized by iodine *** ultra-thin Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2membrane with thickness of 10μm can be obtained by wet coating process,exhibiting a high ionic conductivity of 2.09 mS cm-1and low areal resistance of 1.17Ω***,iodine doping could in-situ form LiI at the lithium/electrolyte interface and improve the critical current density of Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.6from 0.8 to 1.35 mA *** resultant LiCoO2/Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2/Li battery shows excellent cycling stability at 1 C,with a reversible specific capacity of 110.1 mA h g-1and a retention of 80.5% after 1000 *** addition,the assembled LiCoO2/Li5.4PS4.4Cl1.4I0.2membrane/Li pouch cell delivers an initial discharge capacity of 110.4 mA h g-1and 80.5% capacity retention after 100 cycles.

SIS Model of Rumor Spreading in Social Network with Time Delay and Nonlinear Functions

With the advent of the information age of networks,the study about rumor propagation in social networks has become increasingly *** this paper,a rumor propagation model with nonlinear functions and time delay in social networks is ***,according to the nextgeneration matrix method,we work out the basic reproduction ***,we discuss the existence of the rumor-prevailing equilibrium ***,we demonstrate the stabilities of equilibrium points and analyze the sufficient conditions for Hopf ***,the correctness of the theory is verified and several vital conclusions are obtained by numerical simulations.

Modeling the dynamics of information propagation in the temporal and spatial environment

In this paper, we try to establish a non-smooth susceptible–infected–recovered(SIR) rumor propagation model based on time and space dimensions. First of all, we prove the existence and uniqueness of the solution. Secondly, we divide the system into two parts and discuss the existence of equilibrium points for each of them. For the left part, we define R_(0) to study the relationship between R_(0) and the existence of equilibrium points. For the right part, we classify many different cases by discussing the coefficients of the equilibrium point equation. Then, on this basis, we perform a bifurcation analysis of the non-spatial system and find conditions that lead to the existence of saddle-node bifurcation. Further, we consider the effect of diffusion. We specifically analyze the stability of equilibrium points. In addition, we analyze the Turing instability and Hopf bifurcation occurring at some equilibrium points. According to the Lyapunov number, we also determine the direction of the bifurcation. When I = I_(c), we discuss conditions for the existence of discontinuous Hopf bifurcation. Finally, through numerical simulations and combined with the practical meaning of the parameters, we prove the correctness of the previous theoretical theorem.

Levels of plasma des-γ-carboxy protein C and prothrombin in patients with liver diseases

AIM: To study the plasma des-γ-carboxy protein C activity, antigen and prothrombin levels in patients with liver diseases and their clinical significance. METHODS: Plasma protein C activity (PC:C) was detected by chromogenic assay and antigen (PC:Ag) and des-γ-carboxy protein C (DCPC) were detected by ELISA. Total prothrombin and unabsorbed prothrombin in plasma were detected by ecarin chromogenic assay. RESULTS: Compared with the control, the levels of PC:C and PC:Ag in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and liver cirrhosis (LC) were lower (PCC: 104.65±23.0%,62.50±24.89%, 56.75±20.14%, PC:Ag: 5.31±1.63 μg/mL, 2.28±1.15 μg/mL, 2.43±0.79 μg/mL, P0.05). The levels of DCPC in patients with HCC were remarkably higher (0.69±0.29 μg/mL,1.18±0.63 μg/mL, 0.45±0.21 μg/mL, P<0.05) and its averagewas up to 50% of total PC:Ag. But those of DCPC in patients with AVH were not significantly different from the control. The levels of total prothrombin were lower in patients with LC, but higher in patients with HCC. The levels of unabsorbed prothrombin were predominantly higher than those of other groups. CONCLUSION: PC:C and PC:Ag in patients with liverdiseases (except PC:C in AVH) were lower. The total prothrombin was lower in patients with LC. The higher level of unabsorbed prothrombin may be used as a scanning marker for HCC. DCPC may be used as a complementary marker in the diagnosis of HCC.

Modeling the COVID-19 epidemic and awareness diffusion on multiplex networks

The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has been widely spread around the world,and the control and behavior dynamics are still one of the important research directions in the *** on the characteristics of COVID-19’s spread,a coupled disease-awareness model on multiplex networks is proposed in this paper to study and simulate the interaction between the spreading behavior of COVID-19 and related *** the layer of epidemic spreading,the nodes can be divided into five categories,where the topology of the network represents the physical contact relationship of the *** topological structure of the upper network shows the information interaction among the nodes,which can be divided into aware and unaware *** will make people play a positive role in preventing the epidemic diffusion,influencing the spread of the *** on the above model,we have established the state transition equation,through the microscopic Markov chain approach(MMCA),and proposed the propagation threshold calculation method under the epidemic ***,MMCA iteration and the Monte Carlo method are simulated on the static network and dynamic network,*** current results will be beneficial to the study of COVID-19,and propose a more rational and effective model for future research on epidemics.

Observation of acoustic hybrid topological phases induced by the p-d orbital interactions

In spinless systems,growing attention has recently been attracted to synthetic gauge fields,which redefine the fundamental crystal symmetries by utilizing the projective algebraic ***,synthetic gauge fields have been commonly investigated in single orbital systems,and explorations on hybrid orbitals remain elusive in ***,we report the experimental observation of hybrid topological phases induced by hybrid synthetic gauge flux,which is formed by the interaction between p and d orbitals embedded in acoustic *** breaking the translation symmetries of Lxand/or Ly,we unambiguously demonstrate the first-order M?bius edge states and higher-order corner *** work establishes a platform for seeking exotic topological phases induced by hybrid-orbitals interactions and initializing the framework of hybrid-orbitalsrelated topological *** applications can be anticipated in scenarios such as high-quality sensing and robust wave trapping due to the stepwise energy distribution of the hybrid topological phase.
