Heat-resistant alloys with excellent mechanical properties are widely used in various fields,and further improvement in their properties is essential to meet the requirements in new-generation advanced supercritical boilers,nuclear reactors,superheaters,and other new materials *** effectively enhance the comprehensive performance of heat-resistant alloys,second-phase particle strengthening has been widely studied,and in the face of different service envi-ronments of advanced heat-resistant steels,the selection of suitable second-phase particles is essential to maximize the performance of these *** this end,three major types of reinforcing phases in heat-resistant alloys such as carbides,rare earth oxides,and intermetallic compounds are summarized.A comparative analysis of the precipitation behavior of the reinforcing phases with different types as well as the risks and means of controlling their use in service,is *** parameters for the application of various types of second-phase particles in heat-resistant alloys are provided to support the design and preparation of new ultrahigh-performance heat-resistant alloys.

L-glutamic acid(LA)is a bio-based,non-toxic,environmentally friendly material derived from *** present study reports the application of Passerini three-component polymerization(P-3CP)for the straightforward preparation of LA-based light-responsive polyesters(PLTDs)under mild *** with molar masses up to 8500 g/mol and high yields exceeding 90%are *** chemical structures and light-responsive self-immolative behavior of PLTDs are comprehensively characterized by employing ultraviolet-visible(UV-Vis)spectroscopy,size exclusion chromatography(SEC),nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)spectroscopy,and liquid chromatography mass spectrometry(LC-MS).Meanwhile,monodisperse PLTD-based doxorubicin-loaded nanoparticles(PLTD-DOX-NP)(size=1.3 nm,PDI=0.01.)are formulated by nanoprecipitation *** light-induced depolymerization,the PLTD-DOX-NP undergoes rapid decomposition,resulting in a burst release of 80%cargo within 1. ***,according to biological toxicity tests,the PLTD-NP possesses adequate biosafety,both before and after ***,the incorporation of P-3CP with biorenewable LA-based monomer adheres to the principles of green chemistry,significantly simplifying the synthetic pathway of light-responsive polymers.

Nonprecious-metal-group single-metal-atom catalysts with bifunctional catalytic capabilities toward the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)are highly sought after in energy-conversion and storage ***,producing renewable and sustainable energy sources remains ***,single-transition metal atoms anchored onπ-πconjugated two-dimensional(2D)graphitic carbon nitride substrates formπ-d conjugated conductive channels that enhance the overall electrocatalytic ***,firstprinciples calculations were carried out to design and demonstrate a novel macropore graphitic carbon nitride(gC_(1.)N_(3))as a promising 2D electrocatalyst substrate to support single-transition metal(TM,from Sc to Au).The"donation-acceptance"charge interaction in the TM-N_(2)moiety effectively balances the adsorption strength of oxygenated intermediates in Ni@g-C_(1.)N_(3)and Rh@gC_(1.)N_3,making them effective bifunctional OER/ORR electrocatalysts with IrO_(2)/Pt-beyond overpotentials being as low as 0.39/0.38 V and 0.54/0.44 V,***,they possess high stability and conductivity and are less susceptible to oxidation and corrosion under working *** guarantees high activity under ambient ***,the origin of the OER/ORR activity of TM@g-C_(1.)N_(3) is explained using multilevel descriptors:intrinsic(p,Bader charge,integral crystal orbital Hamilton population(ICOHP),bond length,and d-band center(εd).In particular,for optimal Ni@g-C_(1.)N_(3),the clear hybridization between the Ni-d orbital and surface O-p orbital causes the paired electrons to occupy the bonding *** enables OH~*to be adsorbed on the Ni@g-C_(1.)N_(3),thereby achieving the highest catalytic performance.

Four species of the genus Karstsinnectes,which live in dark,low-energy groundwater ecosystems,are currently recorded,mainly distributed in the upstream of the Pearl River,the Youjiang River and the Hongshui *** biodiversity surveys is particularly difficult due to the particular cave habitats inhabited by these *** this work,we describe a new cave fish of the genus Karstsinnectes,namely *** Luo,Zhao&Zhou,***.,collected from the Beipanjiang River,the upstream of the Hongshui ***,the four individuals of the new species form a phylogenetically separate lineage,as the sister clade of ***,with a 9.4–9.5%genetic difference in mitochondrial Cyt ***,the new species can be distinguished from its congeners by a combination of the following morphological characteristics:body naked,without body color;eyes reduced,diameter 1.4–3.8%of head length;anterior and posterior nostrils adjacent,anterior nostril not elongated to a barbel-like tip;lateral line incomplete;caudal fin forked;dorsal-fin rays iii-7,pectoral-fin rays i-1.–1.,pelvic-fin rays i-7,anal-fin rays iii-5,with 1. branched caudal-fin *** discovery of this new species represents the northernmost distribution of species within the genus Karstsinnectes and the first record from Guizhou *** currently known species of this genus inhabited in caves,making them ideal organisms for studying historical river connectivity and cave formation process.
