Relationship between Ki-67 and CD44 expression and microvascular formation in gastric stromal tumor tissues

BACKGROUND A gastric stromal tumor(GST)is a mesenchymal tumor that occurs in the gastrointestinal tract;its biological characteristics are highly ***,the severity of a GST is often evaluated by factors such as risk classification,tumor size,and mitotic ***,these indicators are not very *** patients classified as low risk are also at risk of metastasis and ***,more accurate and objective clinical biological behavior evaluations are urgently *** To determine the relationship between Ki-67 and CD44 expression in GSTs and microvessel formation and *** Eighty-six GST tissue specimens from our hospital were selected for this *** immunohistochemical staining technique was used to detect Ki-67,CD44,and microvessel density(MVD)in the collected samples to analyze the different risk grades and mitotic *** addition,this approach was used to determine the differences in the expression of Ki-67 and CD44 in GST tissues with varying lesion *** In GSTs with positive expression of the Ki-67 protein,the proportions of patients with medium-to-high risk and more than five mitotic counts were 24.07%and 38.89%,*** GSTs with positive expression of the CD44 protein,the proportions of patients with medium-to-high risk and more than five mitotic counts were 23.73%and 38.98%,*** GSTs with negative expression of the Ki-67 protein,these values were relatively high(3.70%and 11.11%,respectively).The MVD in GSTs with positive and negative expression of the CD44 protein was 15.92±2.94 and 13.86±2.98/Hp,respectively;the difference between the two groups was significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Ki-67 and CD44 expression in GSTs is correlated with the grade of tumor risk and mitotic ***44 expression is correlated with microvessel formation in tumor tissues.

Relationship between red blood cell distribution width and intermediate-term mortality in elderly patients after percutaneous coronary intervention

Background Large-scale clinical research on the relationship between red blood cell distribution width （RDW） and intermediate-term prognosis in elderly patients with coronary artery disease （CAD） is lacking. Thus, this study investigated the effects of RDW on the intermediate-term mortality of elderly patients who underwent elective percutaneous coronary intervention （PCI）. Methods Data from 1891 patients 〉 65 years old underwent elective PCI from July 2009 to September 2011 were collected. Based on preoperative median RDW （12.3%）, the patients were divided into two groups. The low RDW group （RDW 〈 12.3%） had 899 cases; the high RDW group （RDW 〉 12.3%） had 992 cases. The all-cause mortality rates of the two groups were compared. Results Patients in the high RDW group were more likely to be female and accompanied with diabetes, had lower hemoglobin level. The mean follow-up period was 527 days. during follow-up, 61 patients died （3.2%）. The postoperative mortality of the high RDW group was significantly higher than that of the low RDW group （4.3% vs. 2.0%, P = 0.004）. After adjusting other factors, multivariate Cox regression analysis revealed that preoperative high RDW was significantly associated with postoperative all-cause mortality （hazard ratio： 2.301, 95% confidence interval： 1.106-4.785, P = 0.026）. Conclusions Increased RDW was an independent predictor of the increased intermediate-term all-cause mortality in elderly CAD patients after elective PCI.

Fractal sorting vector-based least significant bit chaotic permutation for image encryption

The image's least significant bit(LSB) covers lots of the details that have been commonly used in image encryption analysis. The newly proposed fractal sorting vector(FSV) and FSV-based LSB chaotic permutation(FSV-LSBCP) is a novel chaotic image encryption cryptosystem introduced in this article. The FSV-LSBCP effectively strengthens the security of the cryptographic scheme concerning the properties of the FSV. Key analysis, statistical analysis, resistance differential attack analysis, and resistance to cropping attacks and noise attacks are the focus of the suggested image encryption cryptosystem. The security experiment shows that the cryptosystem is adequate to achieve the desired degree of security.

Multidisciplinary discussion and management of synchronous colorectal liver metastases: A single center study in China

BACKGROUND The multidisciplinary team(MDT)has been carried out in many large hospitals ***,given the costs of time and money and with little strong evidence of MDT effectiveness being reported,critiques of MDTs *** To evaluate the effects of MDTs on patients with synchronous colorectal liver metastases and share our opinion on management of synchronous colorectal liver *** In this study we collected clinical data of patients with synchronous colorectal liver metastases from February 2014 to February 2017 in the Chinese People’s Liberation Army General Hospital and subsequently divided them into an MDT+group and an *** total,93 patients in MDT+group and 169 patients in MDT-group were included *** Statistical increases in the rate of chest computed tomography examination(P=0.001),abdomen magnetic resonance imaging examination(P=0.000),and preoperative image staging(P=0.0000)were observed in patients in MDT+***,the proportion of patients receiving chemotherapy(P=0.019)and curative resection(P=0.042)was also higher in MDT+*** analysis showed that the population of patients assessed by MDT meetings had higher 1-year[hazard ratio(HR)=0.608,95%confidence interval(CI):0.398-0.931,P=0.022]and 5-year(HR=0.694,95%CI:0.515-0.937,P=0.017)overall *** These results proved that MDT management did bring patients with synchronous colorectal liver metastases more opportunities for comprehensive examination and treatment,resulting in better outcomes.
