Efficacy and safety of anti-PD-1/anti-PD-L1 antibody therapy in treatment of advanced gastric cancer or gastroesophageal junction cancer: A meta-analysis

BACKGROUND Faced with limited and inadequate treatment options for patients with advanced gastric cancer or gastroesophageal junction cancer(GC/GEJC), researchers have turned toward, with the support of promising clinical trials, anti-PD-1/anti-PD-L1 antibody therapy. But there are also different clinical trial results. To better assess its efficacy and safety, we integrated data from 13 eligible studies for a systematic review and *** To comprehensively evaluate the efficacy and safety of anti-PD-1/anti-PD-L1 antibody therapy in the treatment of advanced GC/GEJC *** PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library,and EMBASE databases were searched to identify eligible articles with outcomes including objective response rate(ORR), disease control rate(DCR), overall survival(OS), progression-free survival(PFS), and adverse events(AEs) of anti-PD-1/anti-PD-L1 antibody *** Our study encompassed a total of 13 trials totaling 1618 patients. The outcomes showed a pooled ORR and DCR of 15%(95% confidence interval [CI]: 14%-18%) and 40%(95%CI: 33%-46%), respectively. The pooled 6-mo OS and PFS were 54%(95%CI: 45%-64%) and 26%(95%CI: 20%-32%), respectively, and the 12-mo OS and PFS were 42%(95%CI: 21%-62%) and 11%(95%CI: 8%-13%), respectively. In addition, the incidence of any-grade AEs and grade ≥ 3 AEs was 64%(95%CI: 54%-73%) and 18%(95%CI: 16%-20%), respectively. Most importantly, PD-L1 positive patients exhibited a higher ORR rate than PD-L1 negative patients(odds ratio = 2.54, 95%CI: 1.56-4.15).CONCLUSION Anti-PD-1/anti-PD-L1 antibody therapy has shown promising anti-tumor efficacy with manageable AEs in advanced GC/GEJC patients, with PD-L1 overexpressing patients exhibiting a higher ORR. What is more, the clinical efficacy of anti-PD-1/PD-L1 combined with traditional chemotherapy drugs is even better, although the occurrence of AEs still causes considerate concerns.

Ultrafine-grained(UFG)AA1060 sheets were fabricated via five-cycle accumulative roll bonding(ARB)and subsequent three-pass cold rolling(298 K),or cryorolling(83 K and 173 K).Microstructures of the aluminum samples were examined via transmission electron microscopy,and their mechanical properties were measured via tensile and microhardness *** indicate that ultrafine grains in ARB-processed sheets were further refined by subsequent rolling,and the grain size became finer with reducing rolling *** mean grain size of 666 nm in the sheets subjected to ARB was refined to 346 or 266 nm,respectively,via subsequent cold rolling or cryorolling(83 K).Subsequent cryorolling resulted in ultrafine-grained sheets of higher strength and ductility than those of the sheets subjected to cold rolling.

Background Pterygium is a common ophthalmic disease and an important public health problem. It may be affected by many factors such as age, gender, ultraviolet radiation exposure, and time spent outdoors. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of pterygium and evaluate the risk factors for the development of pterygium in the aged rural population of Beijing. Methods The investigation is a population-based cross-sectional study. Participants from 198 villages of 13 suburban districts, aged 55-85 years old, were invited to complete a medical record, and 37 067 individuals were taken external ocular and fundus photos at Beijing ocular disease survey in 2008-2009. The information was uploaded by Internet and diagnosed with stages and grades by ophthalmological specialists. The prevalence, stages and grades of pterygia were observed. Results Of the 37 067 individuals, 1395 （3.76%） had pterygium. There was a significantly higher prevalence in male （5.13%） than in female （3.17%, P=0.000）. The prevelence rate increased obviously with ages （X2=7.939, P=0.019） in rural Beijing. The average prevalence of 5.91% in Daxing and Fangshan districts with low latitude and low precipitation was significantly higher than that in Miyun and Huairou districts with high latitude and deep precipitation （3.17%, P=-0.000）. The majority of the pterygia （43.5%） were in active stage and 46.5% pterygia involved pupil area corneas. Conclusions There is a statistically significant association between latitude and precipitation of habitation region and pterygium formation. Solar radiation, especially ultraviolet exposure represents a significant environment hazard to pterygium development.

To date,few models are available in the literature to consider the creep behavior of geosynthetics when predicting the lateral deformation(d)of geosynthetics-reinforced soil(GRS)retaining *** this study,a general hyperbolic creep model was first introduced to describe the long-term deformation of geosynthetics,which is a function of elapsed time and two empirical parameters a and *** conventional creep tests with three different tensile loads(Pr)were conducted on two uniaxial geogrids to determine their creep behavior,as well as the a-Pr and b-Pr *** test results show that increasing Pr accelerates the development of creep deformation for both ***,a and b respectively show exponential and negatively linear relationships with Pr,which were confirmed by abundant experimental data available in other *** on the above creep model and relationships,an accurate and reliable analytical model was then proposed for predicting the time-dependent d of GRS walls with modular block facing,which was further validated using a relevant numerical investigation from the previous *** evaluation and comparison of the proposed model with six available prediction models were *** a parametric study was carried out to evaluate the effects of wall height,vertical spacing of geogrids,unit weight and internal friction angle of backfills,and factor of safety against pullout on d at the end of construction and 5 years *** findings show that the creep effect not only promotes d but also raises the elevation of the maximum d along the wall ***,the limitations and application prospects of the proposed model were discussed and analyzed.

In this paper,Let M_(n)denote the maximum of logarithmic general error distribution with parameter v≥***-order expansions for distributions of powered extremes M_(n)^(p)are derived under an optimal choice of normalizing *** is shown that M_(n)^(p),when v=1,converges to the Frechet extreme value distribution at the rate of 1/n,and if v>1 then M_(n)^(p)converges to the Gumbel extreme value distribution at the rate of(loglogn)^(2)=(log n)^(1-1/v).
