Developing high-efficiency photothermal seawater desalination devices is of significant importance in addressing the shortage of freshwater.Despite much effort made into photothermal materials,there is an urgent need to design a rapidly synthesized photothermal evaporator for the comprehensive purification of complex seawater.Therefore,we report on all-in-one FeOx-rGO photothermal sponges synthesized via solid-phase microwave thermal shock.The narrow band gap of the semiconductor material Fe_(3)O_(4) greatly reduces the recombination of electron-hole pairs,enhancing non-radiative relaxation light absorption.The abundantπorbitals in rGO promote electron excitation and thermal vibration between the lattices.Control of the surface hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity promotes salt resistance while simultaneously achieving the purification of various complex polluted waters.The optimized GFM-3 sponge exhibitedan enhanced photothermal conversion rate of 97.3% and a water evaporation rate of 2.04 kg/(m^(2)·hr),showing promising synergistic water purification properties.These findings provide a highly efficient photothermal sponge for practical applicationsof seawater desalination and purification,as well as develop a super-rapid processing methodology for evaporation devices.

"Carbon peaking and carbon neutrality"is an essential national strategy,and the geological storage and utilization of CO_(2)is a hot issue today.However,due to the scarcity of pure CO_(2)gas sources in China and the high cost of CO_(2)capture,CO_(2)-rich industrial waste gas(CO_(2)-rich IWG)is gradually emerging into the public's gaze.CO_(2)has good adsorption properties on shale surfaces,but acidic gases can react with shale,so the mechanism of the CO_(2)-rich IWG-water-shale reaction and the change in reservoir properties will determine the stability of geological storage.Therefore,based on the mineral composition of the Longmaxi Formation shale,this study constructs a thermodynamic equilibrium model of water-rock reactions and simulates the regularity of reactions between CO_(2)-rich IWG and shale minerals.The results indicate that CO_(2)consumed 12%after reaction,and impurity gases in the CO_(2)-rich IWG can be dissolved entirely,thus demonstrating the feasibility of treating IWG through water-rock reactions.Since IWG inhibits the dissolution of CO_(2),the optimal composition of CO_(2)-rich IWG is 95%CO_(2)and 5%IWG when CO_(2)geological storage is the main goal.In contrast,when the main goal is the geological storage of total CO_(2)-rich IWG or impurity gas,the optimal CO_(2)-rich IWG composition is 50%CO_(2)and 50%IWG.In the CO_(2)-rich IWG-water-shale reaction,temperature has less influence on the water-rock reaction,while pressure is the most important parameter.SO2 has the greatest impact on water-rock reaction in gas.For minerals,clay minerals such as illite and montmorillonite had a significant effect on water-rock reaction.The overall reaction is dominated by precipitation and the volume of the rock skeleton has increased by 0.74 cm3,resulting in a decrease in shale porosity,which enhances the stability of CO_(2)geological storage to some extent.During the reaction between CO_(2)-rich IWG-water-shale at simulated temperatures and pressures,precipitation is the main reaction,and shale porosity decrease

Regioregular poly(3-hexylthio)thiopene(P3HTT) has emerged tremendous potential in organic electronic applications due to the strong noncovalent interactions from the sulfur atom linked to thiophene. However, P3HTT generally exhibits low charge mobility mostly due to poor solution processability attributed to dense arrangement of hexylthio side chain in polymer, which led to strong noncovalent interactions among sulfur atoms. To balance the nonvalent interaction and aggregation for P3HTT, herein, we systematically study the effect of hexylthio side chain content in polymer backbone on the structure and properties. A series of regioregular P3HTT-based homopolymers(P3HTT, P3HTT-50,P3HTT-33 and P3HTT-25) were prepared via Kumada catalyst transfer polycondensation method from a set of mono-, bi-, ter-and quarterthiophenes containing different contents of hexylthio side chain. The DFT calculation shows the planarity of polymers backbone could be improved through reducing the density of hexylthio side chain in polymer mainchain. And significant changes in their crystallinity, aggregation and optical properties were observed with the content of hexylthio side chain reducing. The P3HTT-33 displayed the highest field-effect transistor hole mobility of 2.83×10^(-2) cm^(2)·V^(-1)·s^(-1) resulting from a balance between the crystallinity and planarity. This study demonstrates modulating the content of hexylthio side chain in P3HTT is an effective strategy to optimize the opto-electronic properties of polymer obtaining excellent semiconductor device performance.

Here,we introduce a partitioned design method that is oriented toward airgap harmonic for permanent magnet vernier(PMV)motors.The method proposes the utilization of airgap flux harmonics as an effective bridge between the torque design region and the torque performances.To illustrate the efficacy of this method,a partitioned design PMV motor is presented and compared with the initial design.Firstly,the torque design region of the rotor is artfully divided into the torque enhancement region and ripple reduction region.Meanwhile,the main harmonics that generate output torque are chosen and enhanced,optimization.Moreover,the harmonics that generate torque ripple are selected and reduced based on torque harmonics optimization.Finally,the functions of the partitioned PMV motor torque are assessed based on the finite element method.By the purposeful design of these two regions,the output torque is strengthened while torque ripple is inhibited effectively,verifying the effectiveness and reasonability of the proposed design method.

Prediction of suitable water content in granulation of sintering mixture based on Litster's model

Suitable water content plays a decisive role in the granulation of sintering mixtures.Herein,a method was proposed to predict the suitable water content for effective granulation on the basis of Litster's granulation model.The granulation effectiveness of a sintering mixture was predicted by the model,with the allowance error of±10%.The effects of the water absorption properties,particle size composition and content of adhesive particles on the suitable water content were studied.The results showed that the allowable error of prediction was within±0.5%compared to the experimentally determined suitable water content.With an increase in adhesive powder content of mixtures with higher water absorption,the suitable water content increased to achieve similar granulation effectiveness.Moreover,as the amount of concentrates increased,the suitable water content first increased and then remained steady.The influence of the water absorption characteristics of the adhesive particles on the suitable water content was less than that of their particle size composition in the mixture.

Investigation of mechanical failure performance of a large-diameter shield tunnel segmental ring

The control criteria for structural deformation and the evaluation of operational safety performance for large-diameter shield tunnel segments are not yet clearly defined.To address this issue,a refined 3D finite element model was established to analyze the transverse deformation response of a large-diameter segmental ring.By analyzing the stress,deformation,and crack distribution of large-diameter segments under overload conditions,the transverse deformation of the segmental ring could be divided into four stages.The main reasons for the decrease in segmental ring stiffness were found to be the extensive development of cracks and the complete formation of four plastic hinges.The deformation control value for the large-diameter shield tunnel segment is chosen as 8%o of the segment's outer diameter,representing the transverse deformation during the formation of the first semi-plastic hinge(i.e.,the first yield point)in the structure.This control value can serve as a reinforcement standard for preventing the failure of large-diameter shield tunnel segments.The flexural bearing capacity characteristic curve of segments was used to evaluate the structural strength of a large-diameter segmental ring.It was discovered that the maximum internal force combination of the segment did not exceed the segment ultimate bearing capacity curve(SUBC).However,the combination of internal force at 9°,85°,and 161°of the joints,and their symmetrical locations about the 0°-180°axis exceeded the joint ultimate bearing capacity curve(JUBC).The results indicate that the failure of the large-diameter segment lining was mainly due to insufficient joint strength,leading to an instability failure.The findings from this study can be used to develop more effective maintenance strategies for large-diameter shield tunnel segments to ensure their long-term performance.

Background:Triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)is an aggressive type of breast cancer associated with poor prognosis and limited treatment options.The androgen receptor(AR)has emerged as a potential therapeutic target for luminal androgen receptor(LAR)TNBC.However,multiple studies have claimed that anti-androgen therapy for AR-positive TNBC only has limited clinical benefits.This study aimed to investigate the role of AR in TNBC and its detailed mechanism.Methods:Immunohistochemistry and TNBC tissue sections were applied to investigate AR and nectin cell adhesion molecule 4(NECTIN4)expression in TNBC tissues.Then,in vitro and in vivo assays were used to explore the function of AR and estrogen receptor beta(ERβ)in TNBC.Chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing(ChIP-seq),co-immunoprecipitation(co-IP),molecular docking method,and luciferase reporter assay were performed to identify key molecules that affect the function of AR.Results:Based on the TNBC tissue array analysis,we revealed that ERβand AR were positive in 21.92%(32/146)and 24.66%(36/146)of 146 TNBC samples,respectively,and about 13.70%(20/146)of TNBC patients were ERβpositive and AR positive.We further demonstrated the pro-tumoral effects of AR on TNBC cells,however,the oncogenic biology was significantly suppressed when ERβtransfection in LAR TNBC cell lines but not in AR-negative TNBC.Mechanistically,we identified that NECTIN4 promoter–42 bp to–28 bp was an AR response element,and that ERβinteracted with AR thus impeding the AR-mediated NECTIN4 transcription which promoted epithelial–mesenchymal transition in tumor progression.Conclusions:This study suggests that ERβfunctions as a suppressor mediating the effect of AR in TNBC prognosis and cell proliferation.Therefore,our current research facilitates a better understanding of the role and mechanisms of AR in TNBC carcinogenesis.

Human endogenous retroviruses(HERVs)are remnants of retroviral infections in human germline cells from millions of years ago.Among these,ERVW-1(also known as HERV-W-ENV,ERVWE1,or ENVW)encodes the envelope protein of the HERV-W family,which contributes to the pathophysiology of schizophrenia.Additionally,neuropathological studies have revealed cell death and disruption of iron homeostasis in the brains of individuals with schizophrenia.Here,our bioinformatics analysis showed that differentially expressed genes in the human prefrontal cortex RNA microarray dataset(GSE53987)were mainly related to ferroptosis and its associated pathways.Clinical data demonstrated significantly lower expression levels of ferroptosis-related genes,particularly Glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4)and solute carrier family 3 member 2(SLC3A2),in schizophrenia patients compared to normal controls.Further in-depth analyses revealed a significant negative correlation between ERVW-1 expression and the levels of GPX4/SLC3A2 in schizophrenia.Studies indicated that ERVW-1 increased iron levels,malondialdehyde(MDA),and transferrin receptor protein 1(TFR1)expression while decreasing glutathione(GSH)levels and triggering the loss of mitochondrial membrane potential,suggesting that ERVW-1 can induce ferroptosis.Ongoing research has shown that ERVW-1 reduced the expression of GPX4 and SLC3A2 by inhibiting their promoter activities.Moreover,Ferrostatin-1(Fer-1),the ferroptosis inhibitor,reversed the iron accumulation and mitochondrial membrane potential loss,as well as restored the expressions of ferroptosis markers GSH,MDA,and TFR1 induced by ERVW-1.In conclusion,ERVW-1 could promote ferroptosis by downregulating the expression of GPX4 and SLC3A2,revealing a novel mechanism by which ERVW-1 contributes to neuronal cell death in schizophrenia.

Background and purpose Clinical studies have demonstrated that edaravone dexborneol can improve the functional outcomes in patients with acute ischaemic stroke(AIS).The present clinical trial aimed at testing the efficacy and safety of Y-2 sublingual tablet on 90-day functional outcome in patients with AIS.Methods and design This is a randomised,double-blind,placebo-controlled,multicentre,parallel-group trial of Y-2 sublingual tablet on patients with AIS.An estimated 914 patients at age of 18–80 years with AIS within 48 hours after symptom onset from 40 hospitals will be randomly assigned to receive Y-2 sublingual tablet or placebo for 14 days.Patients are at score 6–20 points on National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)and had a modified Rankin Scale(mRS)≤1 before this stroke,except mechanical thrombectomy and neuroprotective agents treatment.Study outcomes The primary outcome is the proportion of patients with mRS≤1 on day 90 after randomisation.Secondary efficacy outcomes include mRS score on day 90,the proportion of patients with mRS≤2 on day 90;the change of NIHSS score from baseline to day 14 and the proportion of patients with NIHSS score≤1 at the days 14,30 and 90.Discussion This trial will provide valuable evidence for the efficacy and safety of Y-2 sublingual table for improving 90 days the functional outcomes in patients with AIS.Trial registration number NCT04950920.

Influence of oxygen-rich hot air composite gas medium on sintering performance and function mechanism

Hot air sintering technology is used to improve the quality and production efficiency of sintered ore.However,the current thick layer condition highlights the disadvantage of the low oxygen potential of the hot air sintering layer.Therefore,it is considered to use oxygen enrichment sintering to improve the environment of hot air sintering.Traditional sintering,hot air sintering,and oxygen-rich hot air sintering were compared through sintering cup experiments,and the influence of hot air and oxygen-rich hot air on sintering indexes was clarified.Hot air reduced the vertical sintering velocity,while improved the yield and tumbler index.Oxygen-rich hot air sintering contributed to improving the vertical sintering velocity while ensuring the quality of sintered ore,thus comprehensively improving production efficiency.Under the action of hot air,the highest temperature of the sintering layer increased and the high-temperature holding time was prolonged.After oxygen enrichment,the combustion efficiency of fuels in the upper layer of materials was promoted,which optimized heat distribution in the middle and lower layers of materials and increased the content of calcium ferrite in the sintered ore,thus strengthening the sintering process.
