Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)has revolutionized medical imaging diagnostics with the advantages of non-invasive nature,absence of ionizing radiation,unrestricted penetration depth,high-resolution imaging of soft tissues,organs and blood vessels,and multi-parameter and multi-sequence *** agents(CAs)are crucial for enhancing image quality,detecting molecular-level changes,and providing comprehensive diagnostic information in contrast enhanced ***,the performance of clinical Gd-based CAs represents a limitation to the improvement of MRI sensitivity,specificity,and versatility,thereby impeding the achievement of satisfactory imaging *** recent years,the development of magnetic nanoparticle-based CAs has emerged as a promising avenue to enhance the capabilities of ***,we review the advances in magnetic nanoparticle-based MRI CAs,including blood pool CAs,biochemically-targeted CAs,stimulus-responsive CAs,and ultra-high field MRI CAs,as well as the use of CAs for cell labeling and ***,we offer insights into the future prospects and challenges associated with the integration of these nanoparticles into clinical practice.

Metastasis is a very complicated multi-step process and accounts for the low survival rate of the cancerous *** metastasize,t he malignant cells must detach from the primary tumor and migrate to secondary sites in the body through either blood or lymph *** appear to be directly involved in tumor progression and ***,the role of macrophages in affecting cancer metast asis has not been fully ***,we have utilized an emerging technique,namely in vivo flow cytometry(IVFC)to study the depletion kinetics of circulating prostate cancer cells in mice and determine how depletion of macrophages by the liposome encapsulated clodronate affects the depletion *** results show diferent depletion kinetics of PC-3 cells between the macrophagedeficient group and the control *** number of circulating tumor cells(CTCs)in the macrophage-deficient group decreases in a slower manner compared to the control mice *** differences in depletion kinetics indicate that the absence of macrophages facilitates the stay of prostate cancer cells in *** addition,our imaging data suggest that macrophages might be able to arrest,phagocytose and digest PC-3 ***,phagocy tosis may mainly contribute to the de-pletion kinetic *** developed methods elaborated here would be useful to study the relationship between macr ophages and tumor metastasis in small animal cancer models.

Active microwave remote sensing data were used to calculate the near-surface soil moisture in the vegetated *** this study,Advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar(ASAR)observations of surface soil moisture content were used in a data assimilation framework to improve the estimation of the soil moisture profile at the middle reaches of the Heihe River Basin,Northwest China.A one-dimensional soil moisture assimilation system based on the ensemble Kalman filter(EnKF),the forward radiative transfer model,crop model,and the Distributed Hydrology-Soil-Vegetation Model(DHSVM)was *** crop model,as a semi-empirical model,was used to estimate the surface backscattering of vegetated *** DHSVM is a distributed hydrology-vegetation model that explicitly represents the effects of topography and vegetation on water fluxes through the *** experiments were conducted to assimilate the ASAR data into the DHSVM and in situ soil moisture at the middle reaches of the Heihe River Basin from June20 to July 15,*** results indicated that EnKF is effective for assimilating ASAR observations into the hydrological *** with the simulation and in situ observations,the assimilated results were significantly improved in the surface layer and root layer,and the soil moisture varied slightly in the deep ***,EnKF is an efficient approach to handle the strongly nonlinear problem which is practical and effective for soil moisture estimation by assimilation of remote sensing ***,to improve the assimilation results,further studies on obtaining more reliable forcing data and model parameters and increasing the efficiency and accuracy of the remote sensing observations are needed,also improving estimation accuracy of model operator is important.

The classical gradient flow optimization algorithm requires a valid initial point before starting the recursive algorithm,and the existing methods can’t guarantee that the initial values fully satisfy the friction cone constraints of contact point in the optimization process of gradient flow *** order to improve safety margin and prevent the finger from slipping at contact point,we present an iterative method of safe initial values with safety margin detection and develop a gradient flow optimization algorithm based on the safe initial ***,the safety margin is defined which more intuitively reflects the margin of the grasping forces at contact *** resulting safe initial values can be achieved by the detection of desired safety margin at each ***,the safe initial values are usually not optimal,even with the valid initial values,and it can’t always ensure that the finger contact force always satisfies the friction cone constraints during the *** is an effective way to eliminate the unreliable initial values in the optimization and obtain a safer initial values by increasing the safety *** transforming the safe initial values into an initial point of the gradient flow algorithm,the final optimized values of grasping forces can be generated efficiently by gradient flow *** examples of the soft multi-fingered hand indicate the effectiveness of the general solution of the force optimization algorithm based on safety margin *** method eliminates the shortcomings of the gradient flow optimization process caused by the initial value problem and provides a more accurate and reliable force optimization result for multi-fingered dexterous manipulation.

Digital Channelization Technology for HF Communication Base on Fast Filter Bank

Channelization typically realized by digital filter banks is an important topic in high frequency(HF) communication and software defined radios(SDR) areas. Channelization has a rigorous requirement for the characteristic of frequency response, e.g., steep transitional band and sharp decay. To address this issue, we investigated the feasibility and implementation of applying fast filter bank(FFB) in channelization in this paper. We analyzed the butterfly structure of FFB similar with fast Fourier transform(FFT), in which prototype sub-filters are cascaded to achieve a low complexity. Hence, it is suitable for designing filter bank with steep transitional band and sharp decay in stop-band. Moreover, we designed a pipelined structure of FFB to achieve a balance between area and performance. Design example shows that FFB has lower computational complexity compared with the other filter banks.
