A comprehensive sedimentary and reservoir analysis was conducted based on seismic,well logging,core and relative test data,taking Members 1 and 2 of Shahejie Formation of the early Oligocene in the steep slope belt,eastern Shijiutuo Uplift(STU),bohai Bay Basin(BBB)as a *** study indicates that a near-shore mixed fan deposit formed in the study area and developed characteristics and pattern of a high-quality *** mixed clastic-carbonate rocks constitute Members 1 and 2 of Shahejie Formation which developed along the steep slope belt and is named as a near-shore mixed *** mixed fan of the study area is mainly composed of microfacies of proximal channel,mixed deposited channel,mixed clastic beach,mixed bioclastic(grain)beach,with vertical multi-stage superimposition feature,and basically a similar shape as modern near-shore *** constitutes a new depositional type developing in the steep slope belt of a characteristic and complex lacustrine rift basin in the study *** mixed fan in the steep slope of eastern STU is controlled by comprehensive factors including tectonics,clastic material supply,climate,palaeogeomorphology and hydrodynamic *** reservoir quality of Members 1 and 2 of Shahejie Formation of eastern STU is,however,actually controlled by the sedimentary environment and diagenesis ***-grained mixed rocks of near-shore fans,rich in bioclastics,can form excellent reservoirs,characterized by resistance to compaction,easy to dissolution,little influenced by burial depth and high production of oil and gas,which enable them become key exploration targets of medium-deep strata of *** of high-quality reservoir,its controlling factors and the oil and gas exploration implications of the near-shore mixed fan developing in the study area give a deeper insight into discussions of the same type of mixed rocks of other lacustrine rift basins worldwide.

Comparison of efficacy of conbercept,aflibercept,and ranibizumab ophthalmic injection in the treatment of macular edema caused by retinal vein occlusion:a Meta-analysis

AIM:To evaluate and compare the anatomical and functional outcomes and negative effects of the three anti-vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)drugs in the treatment of macular edema(ME)due to retinal vein occlusion(RVO)based on the evidence pooled from current clinical trials and observational ***:A systematic literature search was conducted on nine online databases from inception until April 30,*** main endpoints were best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),central macular thickness(CMT),and adverse events(AEs).Cumulative Meta-analysis was conducted to synthesize the outcomes of the *** retrieved data were analyzed using Stata software(version 12.0).RESULTS:A total of 20 studies comprising 1674 eyes met the inclusion criteria to the *** was observed that conbercept and aflibercept had better visual acuity effects compared with ranibizumab at 1mo[weight mean difference(WMD)=-0.03,P=0.001;WMD=-0.05,P=0.019],but the effects were not different from that of ranibizumab at ***,there was not statistically significant dif ference in the propor tion of patients gaining≥15 letters at 12-24mo between aflibercept and ranibizumab[odds ratio(OR)=1.16,P=0.427].Conbercept had higher mean CMT change effects at 1mo(WMD=-14.43,P=0.014)and 6mo(WMD=-35.63,P≤0.001)compared with ***,the mean CMT change effects at 1mo(WMD=-10.14,P=0.170),6mo(WMD=-26.98,P=0.140)and 12-24mo(WMD=-12.34,P=0.071)were comparable among the ***,AEs were not significantly different among the treatments(OR=0.75,P=0.305;OR=1.04,P=0.89).The stability of effect size of mean BCVA and CMT improved with the increase in sample *** and conbercept required fewer injections compared with ***:This is the first study to evaluate the efficacy and AEs of intravitreal administration of conbercept,ranibizumab,and aflibercept in the treatment of *** aflibercept or conbercept results in better mean change in visi

In vitro biodegradability of Mg-2Gd-xZn alloys with different Zn contents and solution treatments

This study aims to investigate the addition of Zn on the corrosion property and cytocompatibility of Mg- 2Gd-xZn (x = 0, 3, 4 and 5;wt%) alloys, which were prepared by gravity permanent mold casting and solution treatment, respectively. The results show that the intermetallic phases of these ternary alloys are mainly composed of Mg12GdZn and Mg3GdZn3. The content of secondary phases as well as the grain size is greatly dependent on the Zn addition. Compared to the binary Mg- 2Gd alloy, the corrosion resistance of the most ternary alloys is significantly improved. Furthermore, the in vitro cell culture study demonstrates the potential cytocompatibility of the developed ternary alloys. It indicates that a series of Mg-2Gd-xZn (x = 0, 3, 4 and 5;wt%) with medically acceptable corrosion rate are developed and show great potential use as a new type of biodegradable implants.

Prevalence and risk factors of diabetic retinopathy in patients with type 2 diabetes in Shanghai

AIM:To investigate the prevalence of diabetic retinopathy(DR)in residents of Shanghai and analyze the risk factors of ***:This study involved 7233 patients with diabetes in *** demographic data of the participants were collected using a questionnaire *** examination,laboratory tests,and ophthalmological examinations were *** professional ophthalmologists diagnosed and graded DR by fundus examination and then combined the results with fundus *** unconditional multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to determine the risk ***:In total,6978 patients with type 2 diabetes in Shanghai with a mean age of 68.33±8.40 y were recruited,including 2975 males(42.6%)and 4003 females(57.4%).Overall,1184 patients were diagnosed with DR,with a prevalence rate of 16.97%.Regression analysis showed that duration of diabetes(OR 1.061,95%CI 1.049-1.073),high systolic blood pressure(SBP;OR 1.071,95%CI 1.037-1.106),increased glycosylated hemoglobin level(OR 1.234,95%CI 1.162-1.311),high blood glucose level(OR 1.061,95%CI 1.023-1.099),increased neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR;OR 1.132,95%CI 1.053-1.217)and mean platelet volume(MPV;OR 1.077,95%CI 1.016-1.142)were risk factors of ***,hematocrit(HCT;OR 0.971,95%CI 0.954-0.988)and mean corpuscular volume(MCV;OR 0.980,95%CI 0.965-0.994)were protective ***:The prevalence rate of DR in Shanghai is 16.97%.The duration of diabetes,high SBP,increased glycosylated hemoglobin,NLR,and MPV were determined as risk factors of DR.

Oxygen-assisted zinc recovery from electric arc furnace dust using magnesium chloride

Electric arc furnace(EAF)dust is an important secondary resource containing metals,such as zinc(Zn)and iron(Fe).Recover-ing Zn from EAF dust can contribute to resource recycling and reduce environmental ***,the high chemical stability of ZnFe_(2)O_(4)in EAF dust poses challenges to Zn *** address this issue,a facile approach that involves oxygen-assisted chlorination using molten MgCl_(2)is *** work focused on elucidating the role of O2 in the reaction between ZnFe_(2)O_(4)and molten MgCl_(2).The results demonstrate that MgCl_(2)effectively broke down the ZnFe_(2)O_(4)structure,and the high O2 atmosphere considerably promoted the sep-aration of Zn from other components in the form of ZnCl_(2).The presence of O2 facilitated the formation of MgFe_(2)O_(4),which stabilized Fe and prevented its ***,the excessive use of MgCl_(2)resulted in increased evaporation loss,and high temperatures pro-moted the rapid separation of *** on these findings,we successfully extracted ZnCl_(2)-enriched volatiles from practical EAF dust through oxygen-assisted *** optimized conditions,this method achieved exceptional Zn chlorination percentage of over 97%within a short period,while Fe chlorination remained below 1%.The resulting volatiles contained 85wt%of ZnCl_(2),which can be further processed to produce metallic *** findings offer guidance for the selective recovery of valuable metals,particularly from solid wastes such as EAF dust.

Access to High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylenes through High Temperature Ethylene Polymerization Catalysed by Ethylene-Bridged ansa-(3-R-Cyclopentadienyl)(Fluorenyl) Zirconocene Complexes

A series of C1-symmetric ethylene-bridged ansa-(3-R-cyclopentadienyl)(fluorenyl) metallocene complexes(Zr: 1-5;Hf: 6) have been synthesized, characterized and investigated as catalyst precursors for the high temperature ethylene polymerization. Using methylaluminoxane(MAO) as the cocatalyst, zirconium complexes 1-5 bearing a bulky substituent on the 3-position of the cyclopendienyl ring showed high catalytic activities up to 1.48×10^(7) g PE·mol_(Zr)^(-1)·h^(-1) toward the polymerization of ethylene and afforded polyethylenes with high molecular weights(1.49×10^(5)-6.31×10^(5) g/mol), meanwhile exhibting great thermal stability at high temperatures up to 120 ℃ together with a long catalytic life time up to 2 h. By adopting low Al/Zr ratios, such as 125, polyethylenes with ultra high molecular weights up to 2.86×106 g/mol were obtained. It is worthy of noting that zirconium complexes 1-4 bearing a substituent with an aryl pendant showed temperature-dependent activities, which increased rapidly with the increase of polymerization temperature, thus weak interaction of the pendent aryl group with the cationic active center is proposed to account for the very low activities displayed at low temperatures. In contrast to zirconocene complexes 1-5, hafnocene complex 6 only displayed very low catalytic activities toward the polymerization of ethylene and afforded polyethylenes with molecular weights ten times smaller than those obtained by zirconocene complexes 1-5. Zirconocene complexes 1-5 were also able to catalyse the polymerization of propylene at high temperatures, but only afforded waxes with low molecular weights.

Prediction and quantification of effective gas source rocks in a lacustrine basin: Western Depression in the Liaohe Subbasin, China

Due to limited data on the geochemical properties of natural gas, estimations are needed for the effective gas source rock in evaluating gas potential. However, the pronounced heterogeneity of mudstones in lacustrine successions complicates the prediction of the presence and geochemical characteristics of gas source rocks. In this paper, the Liaohe Subbasin of Northeast China is used as an example to construct a practical methodology for locating effective gas source rocks in typical lacustrine basins. Three types of gas source rocks, microbial, oil-type, and coal-type, were distinguished according to the different genetic types of their natural gas. A practical three-dimensional geological model was developed, refined, and applied to determine the spatial distribution of the mudstones in the Western Depression of the Liaohe Subbasin and to describe the geochemical characteristics(the abundance, type, and maturation levels of the organic matter). Application of the model in the subbasin indicates that the sedimentary facies have led to heterogeneity in the mudstones, particularly with respect to organic matter types. The effective gas source rock model constructed for the Western Depression shows that the upper sequence(SQ2) of the Fourth member(Mbr 4) of the Eocene Shahejie Formation(Fm) and the lower and middle sequences(SQ3 and SQ4) of the Third member(Mbr 3) form the principal gas-generating interval. The total volume of effective gas source rocks is estimated to be 586 km3. The effective microbial, oil-type, and coal-type gas source rocks are primarily found in the shallow western slope, the central sags, and the eastern slope of the Western Depression, respectively. This study provides a practical approach for more accurately identifying the occurrence and geochemical characteristics of effective natural gas source rocks, enabling a precise quantitative estimation of natural gas reserves.
