BACKGROUND Shortening the recipient warm ischemia time(rWIT)has been proven to be effective for improving the short-and long-term outcomes after liver transplantation(LT)and offsets the negative impact of an extended cold ischemia ***,few studies have been conducted to explore the prognostic effects of shortening the rWIT in transplantations using a liver graft from an extendedcriteria donor(ECD).AIM To investigate whether shortening the rWIT could improve the outcomes of ECD *** Rat ECD autologous orthotopic LT were performed with variable rWITs(0,10,20,and 30 minutes).Near-infrared fluorescence imaging(FI)was used for the real-time assessment of liver graft ischemia-reperfusion injury after the anhepatic *** was assessed,and liver function and histological analyses were performed on the third day after *** The FI curve growth rate and postoperative three-day survival rate significantly increased,and the liver function and Suzuki score of the liver grafts significantly improved when the rWIT was≤10 minutes(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The post-transplant outcomes were significantly better with a shorter rWIT(10 minutes or less)than with a longer rWIT,which could be a strategy for expanding the liver donor pool.

Studying the system state of coexistence regions will peek into to reveal microscopic interactions between different phases of a thermodynamic ***,there is no effective method to study thermodynamic nature of the coexistence black hole regions for the failure of the equation of *** at these coexistence states,in this work,we develop a general approach by introducing two new ratio *** first one is the ratio of the horizon radii of the saturated coexistence small and large black holes,and the second one measures that of the small black hole molecule number to the total molecule *** demonstrate that the first parameter can serve as an order parameter to characterize the first-order phase *** study also shows that the black hole state in the coexistence region is uniquely determined by these two introduced parameters bounded between 0 and *** results are quite significant in the analytical study of phase transition and the microscopic nature of black hole in the coexistence regions.

The microstructure and Ruppeiner geometry of charged anti-de Sitter black holes in Gauss-Bonnet gravity:from the critical point to the triple point

Ruppeiner geometry has been successfully applied in the study of the black hole microstructure by combining with the small-large black hole phase transition,and the potential interactions among the molecular-like constituent degrees of freedom are *** this paper,we will extend the study to the triple point,where three black hole phases coexist acting as a typical feature of black hole systems quite different from the small-large black hole phase *** the six-dimensional charged Gauss-Bonnet anti-de Sitter black hole,we thoroughly investigate the swallow tail behaviors of the Gibbs free energy and the equal area *** obtaining the black hole triple point in a complete parameter space,we exhibit its phase structures both in the pressure-temperature and temperature-horizon radius *** different from the liquid-vapor phase transition,a double peak behavior is present in the temperature-horizon radius phase *** we construct the Ruppeiner geometry and calculate the corresponding normalized curvature *** the triple point,we observe multiple negatively divergent *** curvature scalar is observed for the small black hole with high temperature,which indicates that the repulsive interaction dominates among the ***,we consider the variation of the curvature scalar along the coexisting intermediate and large black hole *** with the observation for different fluids,the result suggests that this black hole system behaves more like the argon or *** study provides a first and preliminary step towards understanding black hole microstructure near the triple point,as well as uncovering the particular properties of the Gauss-Bonnet gravity.

Cosmological twinlike models with multi scalar fields

In this study, we consider cosmological models driven by several canonical or noncanonical scalar fields, and we show the manner in which twinlike models for a canonical model can be constructed from noncanonical ones using the superpotential method. We conclude that it is possible to construct twinlike models for multifield cosmological models, even with a nonzero spatial *** work extends the discussions of [D. Bazeia, and J. D. Dantas, Phys. Rev. D 85, 067303(2012)] to cases with multi scalar fields and with non-vanished spatial curvature, by using a different superpotential method.

Quantization of black hole entropy from unstable circular null geodesics

The quasinormal mode frequencies can be understood from the massless particles trapped at the unstable circular null geodesics and slowly leaking out to infinity. Based on this viewpoint, in this paper, we semiclassically construct the entropy spectrum of the static and stationary black holes from the null geodesics. The result shows that the spacing of the entropy spectrum only depends on the property of the black hole in the eikonal limit. Moreover, for a black hole far from the extremal case, the spacing is found to be smaller than 2π for any dimension, which is very different from the result of the previous work by using the usual quasinormal mode frequencies.

High-Temperature Stability of Mg-1Al-12Y Alloy Containing LPSO Phase and Mechanism of Its Portevin-Le Chatelier(PLC)Effect

In this study,the high-temperature stability and the generation mechanism of the Portevin-Le Chatelier(PLC)effect in solid-solution Mg-1Al-12Y alloy with different heat treatment processes were investigated by adjusting the content of long-period stacking ordered(LPSO)*** was found that the content of LPSO phases in the alloys differed the most after heat treatment at 530℃for 16 h and 24 h,with values of 13.56%and 3.93%***,high-temperature tensile experiments were conducted on these two alloys at temperatures of 150℃,200℃,250℃,and 300℃.The results showed that both alloys exhibited the PLC effect at temperatures ranging from 150 to 250℃.However,at a temperature 300℃,only the alloy with a greater concentration of LPSO phases exhibited the PLC effect,whereas the alloy with a lower proportion of LPSO phases did not exhibit this ***,both alloys exhibited remarkable high-temperature stability,with the alloy containing a greater percentage of LPSO phases also demonstrating superior *** underlying mechanism for this phenomenon lies in the exceptional high-temperature stability exhibited by the second phase within the ***,the LPSO phase effectively obstructs the movement of dislocations,and it also undergoing kinking to facilitate plastic deformation of the *** results indicate that the PLC effect can be suppressed by reducing dislocation pile-up at grain boundaries,which leads to a decrease in alloy plasticity but an increase in *** presence of the PLC effect in the WA121 alloy is attributed to the abundant dispersed second phase within the alloy,which initially hinders the movement of dislocations,leading to an increase in stress,and subsequently releases the dislocations,allowing them to continue their movement and thereby reducing in stress.

White dwarf binary modulation can help stochastic gravitational wave background search

For the stochastic gravitational wave backgrounds(SGWBs)search centred at the milli-Hz band,the galactic foreground produced by white dwarf binaries(WDBs)within the Milky Way contaminates the extra-galactic signal *** of the anisotropic distribution pattern of the WDBs and the motion of the space-borne gravitational wave interferometer constellation,the time-domain data stream will show an annual *** property is fundamentally diferent from those of the *** this article,we propose a new filtering method for the data vector based on the annual modulation *** apply the resulted inverse variance filter to the LISA Data *** result shows that for the weaker SGWB signal,such as energy density Ω_(astro)=1×10^(-12),the filtering method can enhance the posterior distribution peak *** the stronger signal,such as Ω_(astro)=3×10^(-12),the method can improve the Bayesian evidence from“substantial”to“strong”against null *** method is model-independent and *** does not ask for other types of information besides the gravitational wave data.

In this work,we investigate the numerical evolution of massive Kaluza–Klein(KK)modes of a Dirac field on a thick *** deduce the Dirac equation in five-dimensional spacetime,and obtain the time-dependent evolution equation and Schr?dinger-like equation of the extradimensional *** use the Dirac KK resonances as the initial data and study the corresponding *** monitoring the decay law of the left-and right-chiral KK resonances,we compute the corresponding lifetimes and find that there could exist long-lived KK modes on the ***,for the lightest KK resonance with a large coupling parameter and a large three momentum,it will have an extremely long lifetime.

Null geodesics,quasinormal modes,and thermodynamic phase transition for charged black holes in asymptotically flat and dS spacetimes

A numerical study has indicated that there exists a relation between the quasinormal modes and the Davies point for a black *** this paper,we analytically study this relation for charged Reissner-Nordstrom black holes in asymptotically flat and de Sitter(dS)spacetimes in the eikonal limit,under which the quasinormal modes can be obtained from the null geodesics using the angular velocity Ω and the Lyapunov exponentλof the photon *** in asymptotically flat and dS spacetimes,we observe spiral-like shapes in the complex quasinormal mode ***,the starting point of the shapes does not coincide with the Davies ***,we find a new relation in which the Davies point exactly meets the maximum temperature T in the T-Ω and T-λ *** a higher-dimensional asymptotically flat spacetime,although there is no spiral-like shape,such a relation still ***,we provide a new relation between black hole thermodynamics and dynamics in the eikonal *** this relation,we can test the thermodynamic property of a black hole using the quasinormal modes.

Is There Re-staging Surgery Necessity for Borderline Ovarian Tumors

Objective:This study assessed the necessity of surgical re-staging in women with borderline ovarian tumors(BOTs)and evaluated the impact of complete surgical staging,lymphadenectomy,and omentectomy on disease recurrence and ***:We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of patients with BOTs.A total of 901 patients were eligible for inclusion in the study,and we evaluated some of the variables and clinical/surgical characteristics of the *** effects of the type of surgical procedure,surgical staging,and complete or incomplete staging on recurrence were *** rates of disease-free survival,overall survival,and recurrence were compared according to complete surgical staging.A Cox regression analysis was performed to identify potential prognostic factors,and survival curves were constructed using the Kaplan-Meier ***:The overall recurrence rate was 13.9%,and recurrence was comparable between the complete surgical staging group and the incomplete groups(P>0.05).The performance of complete surgical staging did not show an effect on long-term survival,and complete surgical staging,omentectomy,and lymphadenectomy had no effect on *** multivariate analyses,only radical surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy were risk factors for the recurrence of ***,we found that omentectomy led to a relatively low recurrence rate in patients with International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics(FIGO)stage>Ⅰ(P=0.022).Conclusion:Our results suggest that complete surgical staging should be considered a standard treatment for patients with advanced stage BOTs but not for those at FIGO stageⅠ.It might be safe to reduce the scope of surgical procedures in patients with early-stage ***,it is not necessary to perform re-staging operations for BOTs with a macroscopically normal extra-ovarian appearance.
