Tilt and decentration with various intraocular lenses: A narrative review

We find that tilt and decentration of intraocular lens (IOL) commonly cause visualquality deterioration after cataract surgery. Multiple factors affect IOL tilt anddecentration in the pre-, mid-, and post-operation phases. Moreover, the tilt anddecentration of 1-piece IOL are less correlated with internal ocular HOAs thanthose of 3-piece IOL. Aspherical IOLs are more sensitive to decentration or tiltthan spherical IOLs. Furthermore, the optical performance of toric IOLs with anaccurate axis remains stable irrespective of tilt and decentration. The opticalquality of asymmetric multifocal IOLs varies significantly after decentration andtilt in different directions. The image quality enhances or deteriorates in thedirection of the decentered IOL. An extended depth of focus IOL can achievegood visual acuity in the distant, intermediate, and near range. Additionally, itstilt and decentration have less impact on the vision than bifocal and trifocal *** is the first review that compares the effect of IOL tilt and decentration onimage quality for various IOL designs. The result indicates that a deeperunderstanding of tilt and decentration of various IOLs can help achieve a bettervisual effect to visually improve refractive cataract surgery.

AIM:To investigate the research trend on refractive cataract surgery,compare the contributions of different countries,institutions,journals,and authors in the past 20y,and explore its potential research ***:All publications were extracted relating to refractive cataract surgery from 2003 to 2022 from Web of *** types were limited to original articles and reviews,and the language was limited to *** and qualitatively of the publications were analyzed through Microsoft Excel and GraphPad *** and CiteSpace were used for bibliometric and visualized ***:A total of 2090 publications were *** United States contributed the most publications(434,20.8%),followed by China(345,16.5%)and England(163,7.80%).Publications from the United States were cited more frequently(9552 citations)with the highest H-index of *** ranked second in the total number of publications,the papers were not cited that frequently(3237 citations),and the H-index ranked sixth(H-index=29).Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery published the most papers(333,15.9%),and the University of London had the highest number of publications(75,3.59%).Dick HB from Germany published the most *** astigmatism-related research,cataract surgery methodrelated research,postoperative visual-quality relate to research,and postoperative complications-relate research are the hotspots in this *** most significant limitation was that the database was updated frequently and the latest publications were not ***:The bibliometric analysis shows a brief summarization of the contribution of the authors,institutions,countries,and *** astigmatism,cataract surgery method,postoperative visual-quality and postoperative complications related researches have become the emerging hotspots,which can give a direction in the future researches.

A possible quasi-periodic oscillation(QPO) at frequency 7.045 × 10^(-5) Hz is found in the narrow-line Seyfert 1galaxy Mrk 142 in the data of XMM-Newton collected on 2020 April *** find that the QPO signal is statistically significantly larger than the 5σ level and highly coherent with quality factor Q > 5 at the 0.3–10 keV band by using the method of the Lomb–Scargle Periodogram,the Weighted Wavelet Z-transform and the *** analyze the data in 0.3–0.6 keV,0.6–1 keV,1–3 keV and 3–10 keV energy bands,and find obvious QPO signals at 0.3–0.6 keV and 1–3 keV *** then analyze the time-average spectra and time variability at the QPO frequency of 7.045 × 10^(-5) Hz,and use a model to fit *** find that the QPO signal mainly comes from the X-ray hot corona.

An innovative complex lidar system deployed on an airborne rotorcraft platform for remote sensing of atmospheric pollution is proposed and *** system incorporates integrated-path differential absorption lidar(DIAL) and coherent-doppler lidar(CDL) techniques using a dual tunable TEA CO_(2)laser in the 9—11 μm band and a 1.55 μm fiber *** combining the principles of differential absorption detection and pulsed coherent detection,the system enables agile and remote sensing of atmospheric *** static tests validate the system’s real-time detection capabilities,including the measurement of concentration-path-length product(CL),front distance,and path wind speed of air pollution plumes over long distances exceeding 4 *** experiments is conducted with the *** of the pollutant concentration and the wind field is carried out in an approximately 1 km slant range over scanning angle ranges from 45°to 65°,with a radial resolution of 30 m and10 *** test results demonstrate the system’s ability to spatially map atmospheric pollution plumes and predict their motion and dispersion patterns,thereby ensuring the protection of public safety.

Metal coordination compounds(MCCs)are gaining popularity for potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)owing to their tuneable structure,multiple reaction sites,low cost and unique ***,they are generally subjected to intrinsic features of the sluggish ionic diffusion coefficient,low electronic conductivity and slow ***,a new MCC material of cobalt-1,3,5-trioxy-2,4,6-triamino-benzo(Co-TB)coordination compound was synthesized and homogenously grown on the surface of graphene nanosheets(GNS),forming a Co-TB@GNS composite with enhanced electronic conductivity and flexible *** from the overall enhanced conductivity,high surface area and abundant activated K-storage sites,Co-TB@GNS electrodes have exhibited superior cycling performance with high reversible capacities(312 mAh·g^(-1)after 100 cycles at 100 mA·g^(-1),224 mAh·g^(-1)after 500 cycles at 1 A·g^(-1))and better rate performances compared with the pure Co-TB compound when served as PIB's ***,multiple in-situ measurement techniques have jointly confirmed that the organic functional groups(C=O,C=N and C=C of benzene rings)and Co^(2+)in Co-TB are the main reversible K-storage sites,including in-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and X-ray diffraction(XRD),and partial capacity contribution is originated from GNS by the apparent K-storage behavior in the in-situ XRD pattern,proving the possibility of K-storage for metal-organic materials.

Using the Skyrme density functional theory,potential energy surfaces of^(240)Pu with constraints on the axial quadrupole and octupole deformations(q_(20)and q_(30))were *** volume-like and surface-like pairing forces,as well as a combination of these two forces,were used for the Hartree–Fock–Bogoliubov *** in the least-energy fission path,fission barrier,pairing energy,total kinetic energy,scission line,and mass distribution of the fission fragments based on the different forms of the pairing forces were analyzed and *** fission dynamics were studied based on the timedependent generator coordinate method plus the Gaussian overlap *** results demonstrated a sensitivity of the mass and charge distributions of the fission fragments on the form of the pairing *** on the investigation of the neutron-induced fission of^(239)Pu,among the volume,mixed,and surface pairing forces,the mixed pairing force presented a good reproduction of the experimental data.

Shaped charge warhead is important for enhancing the damage performance of underwater *** paper used finite element analysis software and based on JPC water penetration experiments to examine the influence of liner parameters(wall thickness,material),charge aspect ratio,and stand-off distance on the movement characteristics of JPC in *** findings reveal that the head diameter of the JPC increases and experiences significant erosion after entering the water,the effective length of the JPC in water undergoes two distinct phases:a growth phase and a decrease phase,with the velocity of the JPC decaying *** the liner thickness,stand-off distance and the charge aspect ratio can improve the erosion resistance and the velocity retention capacity of the *** optimal ranges for liner thickness and stand-off distance are 0.0363D_(k) to 0.0545D_(k)(D_(k) is the charge diameter),the stand-off distance should be within 1.0D_(k).After the charge aspect ratio higher than 1.25,the charge structure exerts minimal influence the movement characteristics of the JPC in *** density plays a crucial role in the velocity decay pattern of the JPC during *** with higher densities exhibit superior velocity retention capabilities in water,with the velocity decay pattern converging if the densities are ***,copper,tantalum and tungsten liners are deemed appropriate for underwater shaped charge ***,the results will provide an important reference for the design of underwater shaped charge warhead.
