Effects of combined antibiotics on nitrification, bacteria and antibiotic resistance genes in activated sludge: Insights from legacy effect of antibiotics

The effect of combined antibiotics exposure on nitrogen removal,microbial community assembly and proliferation of antibiotics resistance genes(ARGs)is a hotspot in activated sludge ***,it is unclear that how the historical antibiotic stress affects the subsequent responses of microbes and ARGs to combined *** this study,the effects of combined sulfamethoxazole(SMX)and trimethoprim(TMP)pollution on activated sludge under legacy of SMX or TMP stress with different doses(0.005-30 mg/L)were investigated to clarify antibiotic legacy *** activity was inhibited under higher level of combined exposure but a high total nitrogen removal(∼70%)*** on the full-scale classification,the legacy effect of past antibiotic stress had a marked effect on community composition of conditionally abundant taxa(CAT)and conditionally rare or abundant taxa(CRAT).Rare taxa(RT)were the keystone taxa in the microbial network,and the responses of hub genera were also affected by the legacy of antibiotic *** bacteria and genes were inhibited by the antibiotics and aerobic denitrifying bacteria(Pseudomonas,Thaurea and Hydrogenophaga)were enriched under legacy of high dose,as were the key denitrifying genes(napA,nirK and norB).Furthermore,the occurrences and co-selection relationship of 94 ARGs were affected by legacy ***,some shared hosts(eg.,Citrobacter)and hub ARGs(eg.,mdtD,mdtE and acrD)were ***,antibiotic legacy could affect responses of activated sludge to combined antibiotic and the legacy effect was stronger at higher exposure levels.

Wind-dispersed seeds blur phylogeographic breaks:The complex evolutionary history of Populus lasiocarpa around the Sichuan Basin

The strength of phylogeographic breaks can vary among species in the same area despite being subject to the same geological and climate history due to differences in biological *** important phylogeographic breaks exist around the Sichuan Basin in Southwest China but few studies have focused on wind-dispersed ***,we investigated the phylogeographic patterns and the evolutionary history of Populus lasiocarpa,a wind-pollinated and wind-dispersed tree species with a circum-Sichuan Basin distribution in southwest *** sequenced and analyzed three plastid DNA fragments(ptDNA) and eight nuclear microsatellites(nSSRs) of 265 individuals of *** from 21 populations spanning the entire distribution *** patterns based on nSSR data revealed that there are three genetic groups in *** is consistent with the three phylogeographic breaks(Sichuan Basin,the Kaiyong Line and the 105°E line),where the Sichuan basin acts as the main barrier to gene flow between western and eastern ***,the distribution pattern based on ptDNA haplotypes poorly matched the phylogeographic breaks,and wind-dispersed seeds may be one of the main contributing *** distribution modelling suggested a larger potential distribution in the last glacial maximum with a severe bottleneck during the last interglacial.A DIYABC model also suggested a population contraction and expansion for both western and eastern *** results indicate that biological traits are likely to affect the evolutionary history of plants,and that nuclear molecular markers,which experience higher levels of gene flow,might be better indicators of phylogeographic breaks.

Value of the Ratio of Occluder Versus Atrial Septal Length for Predicting Arrhythmia Occurrence after Transcatheter Closure in Children with Ostium Secundum Atrial Septal Defect

Background：Transcatheter occlusion has been applied to treat ostium secundum atrial septal defect （OS ASD） since *** the clinical practice,several postoperative complications including arrhythmia have been *** study aimed to evaluate the value of the ratio of atrial septal occluder （ASO） versus atrial septal length （ASL） for predicting arrhythmia occurrence after transcatheter closure in children with OS ***：Six hundred and fifty-one children diagnosed with OS ASD underwent occlusion procedures after completing routine *** onsets and types of arrhythmia both during and after the occlusion procedures were *** were given based on the individual types of *** binary logistic regression analysis and receiver-operating characteristic （ROC） curve were used in the analysis of value of the ratio of ASO/ASL for predicting postoperative arrhythmia ***：Transcather occlusions were conducted in 651 children,among whom 7 children had different types and degrees of arrhythmia,with an incidence of 1.1%.The types of arrhythmia included sinus bradycardia,atrial premature beats,bundle branch block,and different degrees of atrioventricular *** electrocardiograph findings were resumed in these 7 patients following active therapies such as corticoids,nutrition,and *** binary logistic regression and ROC analysis suggested that the ratio of ASO/ASL exhibited an intermediate predictive value for predicting arrhythmia occurrence after occlusion procedures.A cut-offvalue of 0.576 in the ratio provided a sensitivity of 87.5% and a specificity of 76.2% with an area under the ROC curve of 0.791 （95% confidence intervals,0.655-0.926;P 〈 0.05） in predicting arrhythmia occurrence after the closure ***：The ratio of ASO/ASL might be a useful index for predicting arrhythmia occurrence after closure procedures in children with OS ASD.

The proliferation of robot accounts on social media platforms has posed a significant negative impact,necessitating robust measures to counter network anomalies and safeguard content *** robot detection has emerged as a pivotal yet intricate task,aimed at mitigating the dissemination of misleading *** graphbased approaches have attained remarkable performance in this realm,they grapple with a fundamental limitation:the homogeneity assumption in graph convolution allows social robots to stealthily evade detection by mingling with genuine human *** unravel this challenge and thwart the camouflage tactics,this work proposed an innovative social robot detection framework based on enhanced HOmogeneity and Random Forest(HORFBot).At the core of HORFBot lies a homogeneous graph enhancement strategy,intricately woven with edge-removal techniques,tometiculously dissect the graph intomultiple revealing ***,leveraging the power of contrastive learning,the proposed methodology meticulously trains multiple graph convolutional networks,each honed to discern nuances within these tailored *** culminating stage involves the fusion of these feature-rich base classifiers,harmoniously aggregating their insights to produce a comprehensive detection *** experiments on three social robot detection datasets have shown that this method effectively improves the accuracy of social robot detection and outperforms comparative methods.

Experimental Study on Geometry Characteristics of Turbulent Premixed Flames for Natural Gas/Air Mixtures

In this study,focusing on the geometry characteristics of spherical expanding flame,the turbulent premixed flames of natural gas/air mixtures were investigated in a fan-stirred turbulent *** effects of initial temperature（T=300-400 K）,initial pressure（P=0.1-0.3 MPa）,turbulence intensity（u'=1.0-2.7 m/s）,oxygen volumetric percentage(φ（O2）=15%-21%) and carbon dioxide volumetric percentage(φ（CO2）=0-20%)were delved *** flame profile under the Cartesian coordinate system was derived from the schlieren images taken by the high-speed ***,from both macroscopic and microscopic perspectives,the influence of experimental conditions on the flame geometry characteristics was explored through flame front extraction,wavelet decomposition and network *** results demonstrate that for significant flame wrinkling,changes in species concentrations and turbulence intensity have more pronounced effects on the flame wrinkling *** wrinkling of the flame front maintains a certain degree of similarity,as evidenced by the locally concentrated distribution of the angles of the maximum fluctuation *** disturbance energy under large-scale（D6-D8） disturbances exhibits relatively high values with a similar trend,exerting a significant impact on the geometry characteristics of the flame *** peaks of correlation degree are scattered either with the decomposition scale or the development of flame radius,indicating no linear correlation between different detail ***,the probability distribution of node degrees in key wrinkled regions exhibits different trends with that of large-scale wrinkling and disturbance energy,especially with changes in initial *** occurs because the number of key wrinkles varies based on the perturbation's strength or the region's ***,an increase in the fluctuation frequency of the flame's local radius may not necessarily lead to an increase in the number of key folded regions.

COMPrompter: reconceptualized segment anything model with multiprompt network for camouflaged object detection

We rethink the segment anything model(SAM) and propose a novel multiprompt network called COMPrompter for camouflaged object detection(COD). SAM has zero-shot generalization ability beyond other models and can provide an ideal framework for COD. Our network aims to enhance the single prompt strategy in SAM to a multiprompt strategy. To achieve this, we propose an edge gradient extraction module, which generates a mask containing gradient information regarding the boundaries of camouflaged objects. This gradient mask is then used as a novel boundary prompt, enhancing the segmentation process. Thereafter, we design a box-boundary mutual guidance module, which fosters more precise and comprehensive feature extraction via mutual guidance between a boundary prompt and a box prompt. This collaboration enhances the model's ability to accurately detect camouflaged objects. Moreover, we employ the discrete wavelet transform to extract high-frequency features from image embeddings. The high-frequency features serve as a supplementary component to the multiprompt ***, our COMPrompter guides the network to achieve enhanced segmentation results, thereby advancing the development of SAM in terms of COD. Experimental results across COD benchmarks demonstrate that COMPrompter achieves a cutting-edge performance, surpassing the current leading model by an average positive metric of 2.2% in COD10K. In the specific application of COD, the experimental results in polyp segmentation show that our model is superior to top-tier methods as well. Honeycomb-like ternary(Ni,Co)Se nanosheet arrays are successfully synthesized by a facile and effective cation-exchange process and directly used as the binder-free electrodes for *** morphologies and chemical composition of(Ni,Co)Se nanosheet arrays can be regulated by altering the reaction *** test results suggest that(Ni,Co)Se nanosheet arrays with Ni/Co ratio of 0.50:0.50 can achieve a higher specific capacitance(3917 F g at 1 A g),better rate performance and cycling stability than corresponding controlled samples and other Ni-Co based ***,aqueous hybrid supercapacitors are successfully assembled with(Ni,Co)Se nanosheet arrays as binder-free positive electrode and nitrogen-doped porous carbon as negative *** optimized hybrid supercapacitors operating at 1.7 V deliver a high energy density of 76.76Wh kg at the power density of 206.22 W kg,and 90.3%capacitance retention after 8000 ***,two these devices in series after being charged can light fifteen yellow emitting diodes and drive a mini fan,indicating that(Ni,Co)Se nanosheet arrays has higher applicable value in energy-storage fields.
