Energy-efficient Butler-matrix-based hybrid beamforming for multiuser mm Wave MIMO system

In order to reduce the cost and power consumption of radio frequency(RF) chains in a millimeterwave(mm Wave) multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) system, hybrid analog/digital beamforming(HBF)can be utilized to reduce the number of RF chains. The HBF consists of an analog beamforming(ABF) stage and a digital beamforming(DBF) stage. The ABF is always realized by using phase shifters and the DBF is done in a low-dimensional digital domain. However, phase shifters have several drawbacks, such as high power consumption and inconsistency of insertion loss. In this paper, we propose an energy-efficient HBF structure to handle these problems, which utilizes the Butler phase shifting matrix in the ABF stage. With the Butlermatrix-based ABF, several fixed beam directions can be obtained, and the best beam directions of different Butler matrices can be chosen by using exhaustive search. To reduce the high complexity of exhaustive search,we further provide a low complexity HBF algorithm. Simulations under the conditions of perfect channel state information(CSI) and estimated CSI verify the effectiveness of our proposed Butler-matrix-based HBF structure and related algorithms.

Orthorhombic-phase Nb_(2)O_(5)(T-Nb_(2)O_(5)) has been widely investigated as an intercalation anode material for Li-ion batteries due to the larger interplanar lattice spacing and high ***,its applications are limited by the intrinsic low electric ***,an ultrathin N-doped carbon-coating layer was constructed on porous T-Nb_(2)O_(5) microspheres uniformly via a convenient thermal treatment method with ionic liquid as a carbon *** synthesized T-Nb_(2)O_(5)@N-C exhibits significantly enhanced rate capability(155.5 mAh·g^(-1) at 20 C) than initial T-Nb_(2)O_(5)(110.2 mAh·g^(-1) at 20C).Besides,T-Nb_(2)O_(5)@N-C shows ultralong cycle life,with only a 0.02% decrease in the capacity per cycle at a high current density of 10 *** corresponding electrochemical tests show that the preferable rate capability of T-Nb_(2)O_(5)@N-C electrode is attributed to the increased electronic conductivity and pseudocapacitance contribution induced by ultrathin surface N-doped carbon *** the other hand,the mesoporous structure of T-Nb_(2)O_(5)@N-C ensures fast Li+ diffusion dynamics and electrolyte ***,T-Nb_(2)O_(5)@N-C also performs well in a LiNi_(0.5)Mn_(0.3)Co_(0.2)O_(4) llT-Nb_(2)O_(5)@N-C full *** work provides a facile method to construct integrated anode materials for potential applications in lithium-ion batteries.

^1H NMR has been used to determine the 2-, 4-vinyl orientation of heme active site from oxidized mouse neuroglobin （mNgb）. The NOEs between 3-methyl and Hα, Hβ of 2-vinyl, together with the NOEs between 5-methyl and Hα, Hβ of 4-vinyl, allowed the unambiguous determination of trans and cis orientations for the 2- and 4-vinyl groups in the mNgb, respectively.

As a kind of renewable and high oxygen content fuel,polyoxymethylene dimethyl ether(PODE)can be added in diesel to realize energy saving and emissions *** evaluate the combustion and emission characteristics of a diesel engine fueled with diesel and diesel/PODE mixtures,exhaust gas recirculation(EGR)and main-pilot injection strategies with various injection timings were *** was blended with diesel by volume to form mixtures which were marked as D100(pure diesel),D90P10(90%diesel+10%PODE),and D80P20(80%diesel+20%PODE).The results showed that the ignition delay(ID)and combustion duration(CD)of D80P20 were the shortest because of the highest cetane number(CN)and high oxygen content of PODE,indicating more concentrated heat *** low and medium loads,D80P20 achieved the highest peak heat release ratio(PHRR)and peak combustion temperature(PCT)among the three fuels,and it was 14.3%and 3.6%higher than those of *** blending with diesel can significantly reduce particulate matter(PM)and D80P20 has the lowest PM emissions at all *** with D100,both PM and nitrogen oxide(NO_(x))emissions of PODE blends decreased simultaneously with 20%EGR at all *** the increase of pilot-main interval,the ID and CD of all test fuels increased,while the NO_(x)and PM emissions *** conclusions of the present research provide a state of the application in light-duty engines fueled with diesel/PODE blends in future work.

Insect cytochrome P450 monooxygenases （CYPs or P450s） play an important role in detoxifying insecticides leading to resistance in insect populations. A polyphagous pest, Spodoptera litura, has developed resistance to a wide range of insecticides. In the present study, a novel P450 gene, CYP321B1, was cloned from S. litura. The function of CYP321B1 was assessed using RNA interference （RNAi） and monitoring resistance levels for three commonly used insecticides, including chlorpyrifos, β-cypermethrin and methomyl. The full-length complementary DNA sequence of CYP321B1 is 1814 bp long with an open reading frame of 1 488 bp encoding 495 amino acid residues. Quantitative reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction analyses during larval and pupal develop- ment indicated that CYP321B1 expression was highest in the midgut of fifth-instar larvae, followed by fat body and cuticle. The expression of CYP321B1 in the midgut was up- regulated by chlorpyrifos,β-cypermethrin and methomyl with both lethal concentration at 15% （LC15）（50, 100 and 150 μg/mL, respectively） and 50%（LC50） dosages （100,200 and 300μg/mL, respectively）. Addition of piperonyl butoxide （PBO） significantly increased the toxicity ofchlorpyrifos,β-cypermethrin and methomyl to S. litura, suggesting a marked synergism of the three insecticides with PBO and P450-mediated detoxification. RNAi- mediated silencing of CYP321B1 further increased mortality by 25.6% and 38.9% when the fifth-instar larvae were exposed to chlorpyrifos and β-cypermethrin, respectively, at the LCso dose levels. The results demonstrate that CYP321B1 might play an important role in chlorpyrifos and β-cypermethrin detoxification in S. litura.
