Various SARS-CoV-2-related coronaviruses have been increasingly identified in pangolins,showing a potential threat to *** we report the infectivity and pathogenicity of the SARS-CoV-2-related virus,PCoV-GX/P2V,which was isolated from a Malayan pangolin(Manis javanica).PCoV-GX/P2V could grow in human hepatoma,colorectal adenocarcinoma cells,and human primary nasal epithelial *** replicated more efficiently in cells expressing human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(hACE2)as SARS-CoV-2 *** intranasal inoculation to the hACE2-transgenic mice,PCoV-GX/P2V not only replicated in nasal turbinate and lungs,but also caused interstitial pneumonia,characterized by infiltration of mixed inflammatory cells and multifocal alveolar *** population immunity established by SARS-CoV-2 infection and vaccination may not protect people from PCoV-GX/P2V *** findings further verify the hACE2 utility of PCoV-GX/P2V by in vivo experiments using authentic viruses and highlight the importance for intensive surveillance to prevent possible cross-species transmission.

Mechanism of Slag Composition Change During Electroslag Remelting Process

The mass loss rate of CaF2-CaO-Al2O3-SiO2-MgO slag system originated from ANF-6 was studied with CaF2, CaO, Al2O3, SiO2 or MgO content as variables. The method of quadratic regression orthogonal design was used for the design and analysis of the experiment. The experimental results indicated that mass loss rate of slag can be increased by 6% with CaF2 changing from 50%to 65%. Mass loss increases with SiO2 , Al2O3 and MgO adding and decreases with CaO content increasing. Because of the reaction between oxide and fluoride in the slag pool, apparent mass loss of CaF2-Al2O3 CaO-SiO2 MgO slag system appears at melting point. This will cause obvious composition change of electroslag. In addition, the segregation occurs in the slag skin forming process. This is another reason causing the composition change of electroslag.

As a popular kind of stylized face,cartoon faces have rich application *** is challenging to create personalized 3D cartoon faces directly from 2D real ***,in order to adapt to more application scenarios,automatic style editing,and animation of cartoon faces is also a crucial problem that is urgently needed to be solved in the industry,but has not yet had a perfect *** solve this problem,we first propose“3D face cartoonizer”,which can generate high-quality 3D cartoon faces with texture when fed into 2D facial *** contribute the first 3D cartoon face hybrid dataset and a new training strategy which first pretrains our network with low-quality triplets in a reconstruction-then-generation manner,and then finetunes it with high-quality triplets in an adversarial manner to fully leverage the hybrid ***,we implement style editing for 3D cartoon faces based on k-means,which can be easily achieved without retrain the neural *** addition,we propose a new cartoon faces'blendshape generation method,and based on this,realize the expression animation of 3D cartoon faces,enabling more practical *** dataset and code will be released for future research.

The problem of salinized soils has become one of the most serious constraints to agricultural and forest productivity. With the purpose of enhancing salt stress tolerance of Populus tomentosa, we transformed this tree species with spermidine synthase （SPDS） genes derived from an apple by an Agrobacterium-mediated method. Four transgenic clones were confu＇med by PCR and Southern blot analysis. As well, the expression of introduced SPDS genes was analyzed by real-time quantitative PCR.

Dear Editor,While most of the patients infected with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)cleared the virus within a few weeks of infection,some people have a persistent infection or persistent shedding viral RNA in the long *** persistent detection of viral RNA in clinical specimens is unlikely to reflect either relapse or reinfection in most cases because the replication-competent virus is generally not recoverable after ten days following symptom onset in mild to moderate cases of COVID-191 and after 20 days in severe or immunocompromised cases.

Analytical model for predicting time-dependent lateral deformation of geosynthetics-reinforced soil walls with modular block facing

To date,few models are available in the literature to consider the creep behavior of geosynthetics when predicting the lateral deformation(d)of geosynthetics-reinforced soil(GRS)retaining *** this study,a general hyperbolic creep model was first introduced to describe the long-term deformation of geosynthetics,which is a function of elapsed time and two empirical parameters a and *** conventional creep tests with three different tensile loads(Pr)were conducted on two uniaxial geogrids to determine their creep behavior,as well as the a-Pr and b-Pr *** test results show that increasing Pr accelerates the development of creep deformation for both ***,a and b respectively show exponential and negatively linear relationships with Pr,which were confirmed by abundant experimental data available in other *** on the above creep model and relationships,an accurate and reliable analytical model was then proposed for predicting the time-dependent d of GRS walls with modular block facing,which was further validated using a relevant numerical investigation from the previous *** evaluation and comparison of the proposed model with six available prediction models were *** a parametric study was carried out to evaluate the effects of wall height,vertical spacing of geogrids,unit weight and internal friction angle of backfills,and factor of safety against pullout on d at the end of construction and 5 years *** findings show that the creep effect not only promotes d but also raises the elevation of the maximum d along the wall ***,the limitations and application prospects of the proposed model were discussed and analyzed.

Exploring the impacts of major events on the systemic risk of the international energy market

This study examines the systemic risk caused by major events in the international energy market(IEM)and proposes a management strategy to mitigate it. Using the tail-event driven network(TENET)method, this study constructed a tail-risk spillover network(TRSN) of IEM and simulated the dynamic spillover tail-risk process through the cascading failure mechanism. The study found that renewable energy markets contributed more to systemic risk during the Paris Agreement and the COVID-19pandemic, while fossil energy markets played a larger role during the Russia-Ukraine conflict. This study identifies systemically important markets(SM) and critical tail-risk spillover paths as potential sources of systemic risk. The research confirms that cutting off the IEM risk spillover path can greatly reduce systemic risk and the influence of SM. This study offers insights into the management of systemic risk in IEM and provides policy recommendations to reduce the impact of shock events.

Background:A wide variety of pathogens could be maintained and transmitted by Haemaphysalis *** aim of this study is to systematically examine the variety of pathogens carried by Haemaphysalis longicornis,an importnatn vector,in tick-borne diseases epidemic area,and to estimate the risk of human infection imposed by tick ***:Adult questing ticks were collected in Xinyang,central *** DNA and RNA were extracted from 144 *** ticks individually,and sequenced respectively as the templates for high-throughput *** reads were compared against the database of NCBI nucleotide collection and specific PCR was performed to confirm the presence of *** analysis was performed to explore the evolutionary status of ***:The assignment of reads to taxa based on BLASTN results revealed the existence of several potential pathogens,including Anaplasma spp.,Rickettsia spp.,Babesia sp.,as well as severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome bunyavirus(SFTSV).Comfirmantory PCR assays revealed the existence of Anaplasma bovis(13/144,9.03%),Anaplasma centrale(2/144,1.39%),Rickettsia heilongjiangensis(3/144,2.08%),Rickettsia ***-13(1/144,0.69%),Rickettsia raoultii(5/144,3.47%),Babesia sp.(1/144,0.69%).SFTSV accounted for the highest detected pathogen with a positive rate of 18.75%(27/144).Three of the ticks(2.08%)were co-infected with SFTSV and ***:Our study provided a broadened list of microorganism that harbored by *** previously unrecognized endemic regions,prokaryotic and eukaryotic infection including Anaplasma spp.,Rickettsiae spp.,and Babesia *** be considered,along with the well-known SFTSV for patients with tick bites history.A novel Babesia species was identified in local natural foci,which needs further investigation in the future.

Core shift limitation in investment casting process of hollow turbine blade

The deviation in wall thickness caused by core shift during the investment casting process significantly impacts the strength and service life of hollow turbine *** address this issue,a core shift limitation method is developed in this ***,a shift model is established based on computational fluid dynamics and motion simulation to predict the movement of the ceramic core in investment casting ***,utilizing this model,an optimization method for fixturing layout inside the refractory ceramic shell is devised for the ceramic *** casting experiment demonstrates that by utilizing the optimized fixture layout,not only can core shift during the investment casting pouring process be effectively controlled,but also the maximum wall thickness error of the blade can be reduced by 42.02%.In addition,the core shift prediction is also validated,with a prediction error of less than 26.9%.
