Development and validation of a nomogram for predicting in-hospital mortality of intensive care unit patients with liver cirrhosis

BACKGROUND Liver cirrhosis patients admitted to intensive care unit(ICU)have a high mortality *** To establish and validate a nomogram for predicting in-hospital mortality of ICU patients with liver *** We extracted demographic,etiological,vital sign,laboratory test,comorbidity,complication,treatment,and severity score data of liver cirrhosis patients from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care IV(MIMIC-IV)and electronic ICU(eICU)collaborative research database(eICU-CRD).Predictor selection and model building were based on the MIMIC-IV *** variables selected through least absolute shrinkage and selection operator analysis were further screened through multivariate regression analysis to obtain final *** final predictors were included in the multivariate logistic regression model,which was used to construct a ***,we conducted external validation using the *** area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC),decision curve,and calibration curve were used to assess the efficacy of the *** Risk factors,including the mean respiratory rate,mean systolic blood pressure,mean heart rate,white blood cells,international normalized ratio,total bilirubin,age,invasive ventilation,vasopressor use,maximum stage of acute kidney injury,and sequential organ failure assessment score,were included in the multivariate logistic *** model achieved AUCs of 0.864 and 0.808 in the MIMIC-IV and eICU-CRD databases,*** calibration curve also confirmed the predictive ability of the model,while the decision curve confirmed its clinical *** The nomogram has high accuracy in predicting in-hospital *** the included predictors may help improve the prognosis of patients.

Relationship between lymph node sinuses with blood and lymphatic metastasis of gastric cancer

AIM: To elucidate the relationship between lymph nodesinuses with blood and lymphatic metastasis of gastric ***: Routine autopsy was carried out in the randomlyselected 102 patients (among them 100 patients died ofvarious diseases, and 2 patients died of non-diseasedreasons), their superficial lymph nodes locating in bilateralnecks (include supraclavicle), axilla, inguina, thorax, andabdomen were sampled. Haematoxylin-Eosin staining wasperformed on 10 % formalin-fixed and paraffin-embeddedlymph node tissue sections (Sum). The histological pattemsof the lymph sinuses containing blood were observed underlight microscope. The expression of CD31, a marker forendothelial cell, was detected both in blood and non-bloodcontaining lymph node sinuses with the method ***: Among the 1322 lymph nodes sampled fromthe autopsies of 100 diseased cases, lymph node sinusescontaining blood were found in 809 lymph nodes sampledfrom 91 cases, but couldn't be seen in the lymph nodessampled from the non-diseased cases. According to histology,we divided the blood containing lymph node sinuses intofive categories: vascular-opening sinus, blood-deficient sinus,erythrophago-sinus, blood-abundant sinus, vascular-formative sinus. Immunohistochemical findings showed thatthe expression of CD31 was strongly positive in vascular-formative sinuses and some vascular-opening sinuses whileit was faint in blood-deficient sinuses, erythrophago-sinusesand some vascular-opening sinuses. It was almost negativein blood-abundant sinus and non-blood containing ***: In the state of disease, the phenomenonof blood present in the lymph sinus is not uncommon. Bloodcould possibly enter into the lymph sinuses through thelymphaticovenous communications between the veins andthe sinuses in the node. Lymph circulation and the bloodcirculation could communicate with each other in the lymphnode sinuses. The skipping and distal lymphatic metastasisof gastric cancer may have

Fast nuclear-spin gates and electrons−nuclei entanglement of neutral atoms in weak magnetic fields

We present a novel class of Rydberg-mediated nuclear-spin entanglement in divalent atoms with global laser ***,we show a fast nuclear-spin controlled phase gate of an arbitrary phase realizable either with two laser pulses when assisted by Stark shifts,or with three ***,we propose to create an electrons−nuclei-entangled state,which is named a super bell state(SBS)for it mimics a large Bell state incorporating three small Bell ***,we show a protocol to create a three-atom electrons-nuclei entangled state which contains the three-body W and Greenberger−Horne−Zeilinger(GHZ)states *** protocols possess high intrinsic fidelities,do not require single-site Rydberg addressing,and can be executed with large Rydberg Rabi frequencies in a weak,Gauss-scale magnetic *** latter two protocols can enable measurement-based preparation of Bell,hyperentangled,and GHZ states,and,specifically,SBS can enable quantum dense coding where one can share three classical bits of information by sending one particle.

Concise extraction and characterization of the pore-throat network in unconventional hydrocarbon reservoirs: A new perspective

In this study,a new image-based method for the extraction and characterization of pore-throat network for unconventional hydrocarbon storage and exploitation is proposed.“Pore-throat solidity”,which is analogous to particle solidity,and a new method for automatic identification of pores and throats in tight sandstone oil reservoirs are ***,the“pore-throat combination”and“pure pore”are defined and distinguished by drawing the cumulative probability curve of the pore-throat solidity and by selecting an appropriate cutoff *** the discrete grid set is recognized as a pore-throat combination,Legendre ellipse fitting and minimum Feret diameter are *** the pore and throat grid sets are identified as pure pores,the pore diameter can be directly *** the new method,the analytical results for the physical parameters and pore radius agree well with most prior *** results comparing the maximum ball and the new model could also prove the accuracy of the latter's in micro and nano *** new model provides a more practical theoretical basis and a new calculation method for the rapid and accurate evaluation of the complex processes of oil migration.

目的对应用超声心动图联合组织多普勒成像(TDI)评估腹膜透析患者心功能可行性进行分析。方法选取2021年10月~2023年10月我院收治的60例腹膜透析患者,患者于腹膜透析治疗前后采用超声心动图联合TDI检查,评估两组左心功能[舒张末期左室后壁厚度(LVPWTd)、舒张末期室间隔(IVSTd)、左室收缩末期内径(LVDs)、左室舒张末期内径(LVDd)、左房内径(LAD)、左室射血分数(LVEF)、左室舒张末期容积(LVEDV)、左室收缩末期容积(LVESV)、左室短轴缩短率(FS)、每搏输出量(SV)]。结果治疗后,患者的LVPWTd、IVSTd、LVDs、LVDd、LAD、LVEDV、LVESV、FS、SV高于治疗前,LVEF低于治疗前(P<0.05);患者心血管不良事件发生率为21.67(13/60),经Spearman相关性分析发现LVEF、SV与腹膜透析患者心血管不良事件发生率具有相关性(P<0.05)。结论将超声心动图联合TDI技术应用于腹膜透析患者心功能的评估中,能为患者心功能的评估提供有益信息,有助于更全面地了解其心血管状况,从而降低心血管不良事件发生率。

Physiological and pathological functions of circular RNAs in the nervous system
