AIM： To explore the effect of Echinococcusmultilocularis on the activation of mitogen-activated protein kinase （MAPK） signaling pathways and on livercell ***： Changes in the phosphorylation of MAPKs and proliferating cell nuclear antigen （PCNA）expression were measured in the liver of patients withalveolar echinococcosis （AE）. MAPKs, MEK1/2 [MAPK/extracellular signal-regulated protein kinase （ERK）kinase] and ribosomal S6 kinase （RSK） phosphorylationwere detected in primary cultures of rat hepatocytesin contact in vitro with （1） E. multilocu/aris vesicle fluid（EmF）, （2）E. multilocularis-conditioned medium （EmCM）.RESULTS： In the liver of AE patients, ERK 1/2 andp38 MAPK were activated and PCNA expression wasincreased, especially in the vicinity of the *** exposure to EmF, p38, c-Jun N-terminal kinase（JNK） and ERK1/2 were also activated in hepatocytesin vitro, as well as MEK1/2 and RSK, in the absenceof any toxic effect. Upon exposure to EmCM, only JNKwas ***： Previous studies have demonstratedan influence of the host on the MAPK cascade inE. multilocularis. Our data suggest that the reverse,i.e. parasite-derived signals efficiently acting onMAPK signaling pathways in host liver ceils, is actuallyoperating.

Chemical stabilization of a high-pressure metastable state is a major challenge for the development of advanced *** chemical pressure(Pchem) can effectively simulate the effect of physical pressure(Pphy)) experimental calibration of the pressure passed to local structural motifs,denoted as local chemical pressure(Pchem-△) which significantly governs the function of solid materials,remains absent due to the challenge of probing *** we establish an innovative methodology to experimentally calibrate the Pchem-△and build a bridge between Pchemand Pphyvia an optical probe ***-selective Bi3+-traced REVO4(RE=Y,Gd) is adopted as a prototype to introduce Bi3+optical probes and on-site sense of the Pchem-△experienced by the *** cell compression of RE0.9gBi0.02VO4under Pphyis chemically simulated by smaller-ion substitution(Sc3+→RE3+) in *** consistent red shift(△λ) of the emission spectra of Bi3+,which is dominated by locally pressure-induced REO8dodecahedral variation in RE0.98Bi0.02VO4(Pphy) and RE0.98-xScxBi0.02VO4(Pchem-△),respectively,is evidence of their similar pressure-dependent local structure *** innovative △λ-based experimental calibration of Pchem-△in the crystal-field dimension portrays the anisotropic transmission of Pchemto the local structure and builds a bridge between Pchem-△and Pphyto guide a new perspective for affordable and practical interception of metastable states.

BACKGROUND The occurrence of a diaphragmatic hernia during the third trimester of pregnancy is rare;to our knowledge,there has only been a single case report related to congenital Bochdalek hernia complicated with mild acute pancreatitis during *** symptoms and lack of experience due to its rarity make the diagnosis of this condition very *** report a case of diaphragmatic hernia accompanied by mild acute pancreatitis in the third trimester of pregnancy,which was misdiagnosed as severe acute *** SUMMARY A 19-year-old woman presented at gestation of 31+2 weeks with continuous distension pain for 3 d in the left lumbar region of no obvious *** findings of left ureterectasis,with nonspecific lumbago and abdominal pain,led to the misdiagnosis of renal *** serum amylase and/or lipase levels indicated acute *** the treatment of pancreatitis,her condition *** patient was finally diagnosed with a diaphragmatic hernia complicated with mild acute pancreatitis on magnetic resonance imaging at our *** section was performed at gestation of 31+6 weeks,followed by hernia repair,and the pancreatitis was treated *** patient was discharged in good condition 20 d after the *** In this case,surgical treatment was not the same as that for non-pregnant diaphragmatic hernia *** is important to first perform a cesarean section before commencing the therapy.

Microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti-Cu amorphous coating synthesized on pure Cu substrate by mechanical alloying method

Design and engineering of highly efficient emitting materials with assembly-induced luminescence,such as room-temperature phosphorescence（RTP） and aggregation-induced emission（AIE）,have stimulated extensive ***,we propose a new strategy to obtain size-controlled Eu;3+;-complex nanoparticles（Eu-NPs） with self-assembly-induced luminescence（SAIL） characteristics without encapsulation or *** with previous RTP or AIE materials,the SAIL phenomena of increased luminescence intensity and lifetime in aqueous solution for the proposed Eu-NPs are due to the combined effe ct of self-assembly in confining the molecular motion and shielding the water *** proof of concept,we also show that this system can be further applied in bioimaging,temperature measurement and HClO *** SAIL activity of the rare-earth（RE） system proposed here offers a further step forward on the roadmap for the development of RE light conversion systems and their integration in bioimaging and therapy applications.

An Integrated Method for Tracking and Monitoring Stomata Dynamics from Microscope Videos

Patchy stomata are a common and characteristic phenomenon in *** and studying the regulation mechanism of patchy stomata are of great significance to further supplement and improve the stomatal ***,the common methods for stomatal behavior observation are based on static images,which makes it difficult to reflect dynamic changes of *** the rapid development of portable microscopes and computer vision algorithms,it brings new chances for stomatal movement *** this study,a stomatal behavior observation system(SBOS)was proposed for real-time observation and automatic analysis of each single stoma in wheat leaf using object tracking and semantic segmentation *** SBOS includes two modules:the real-time observation module and the automatic analysis *** real-time observation module can shoot videos of stomatal dynamic *** the automatic analysis module,object tracking locates every single stoma accurately to obtain stomatal pictures arranged in time-series;semantic segmentation can precisely quantify the stomatal opening area(SOA),with a mean pixel accuracy(MPA)of 0.8305 and a mean intersection over union(MIoU)of 0.5590 in the testing ***,we designed a graphical user interface(GUI)so that researchers could use this automatic analysis module *** verify the performance of the SBOS,the dynamic changes of stomata were observed and analyzed under ***,we analyzed the correlation between gas exchange and SOA under drought stress,and the correlation coefficients between mean SOA and net photosynthetic rate(Pn),intercellular CO2 concentration(Ci),stomatal conductance(Gs),and transpiration rate(Tr)are 0.93,0.96,0.96,and 0.97.

Features of Motion of Soliton Transported Bio-energy in Aperiodic α-Helix ProteinMolecules with Three Channels

The structure aperiodicities can influence seriously the features of motion of soliton excited in the α-helix protein molecules with three channels. We study the influence of structure aperiodicities on the features of the soliton in the improved model by numerical simulation and Runge-Kulta method. The results obtained show that the new soliton is very robust against the structure aperiodieities including large disorder in the sequence of mass of the amino acids and fluctuations of spring constant, coupling constant, dipole-dipole interactional constant, ground state energy and chain-chain interaction. However, very strong structure aperiodieities can also destroy the stability of the soliton in the α-helix protein molecules.
