Sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) have great potential to be the next major energy storage devices due to their obvious advantages and developing advanced electrodes and electrolytes is urgently necessary to promote its future ***,hard carbon as a state-of-the-art anode of SIBs still suffers from the low initial Coulomb efficiency and unsatisfactory rate capability,which could be improved by forming desirable solid electrolyte interphases (SEI) to some ***,the chemistry and morphology of these interfacial layers are fundamental parameters affecting the overall battery operation,and optimizing the electrolyte to dictate the quality of SEI on hard carbon is a key ***,this review summarizes the recent research on SEI design by electrolyte manipulation from solvents,salts,and *** also presents some potential mechanisms of SEI formation in various electrolyte ***,the current advanced characterization techniques for electrolyte and SEI structure analyses have been comprehensively ***,current challenges and future perspectives of SEI formation on hard carbon anode for SIBs are provided from the viewpoints of its compositions,evolution processes,structures,and characterization techniques,which will promote SEI efficient manipulation and improve the performance of hard carbon,and further contribute to the development of SIBs.

SPT6L Encoding a Putative WG/GW-Repeat Protein Regulates Apical-Basal Polarity of Embryo in Arabidopsis

In eukaryotes, a protein motif consisting of WG/GW repeats, also called the Argonaute （AGO） hook, is thought to be essential for binding AGO proteins to fulfill their functions in RNA-mediated gene silencing. Although a number of WG/GW-containing proteins have been computationally identified in Arabidopsis, their roles in plant growth and development are unknown. Here, we show that the Arabidopsis Suppressor of Ty insertion 6-like （SPT6L） gene, which encodes a protein with C-terminal WG/GW repeats, plays critical roles in embryonic development. SPT6L is evolutionarily conserved only in vascular plants, with varying numbers of C-terminal WG/GW repeats, which are plant-species specific. spt61 mutants formed embryos with an aberrant apical-basal axis, showing insufficient development of the basal domain and embryonic lethality. Expression domains of the class-Ill homeodomain-leucine zipper （HD-ZIP III） genes PHABULOSA （PHB） and PHAVOluTA （PHV） were expanded in the spt61 embryo. In contrast, the PLETHORA1 （PLT1） gene, which acts antagonistically to the HD-ZIP III genes in specification of basal fate, was severely down-regulated in the spt61 mutant. Furthermore, the phb phv double mutations partially rescued aberrant basal development in the spt61 background and restored PLT1 expression. Collectively, our results indicate that SPT6L is essential for specification of the apical-basal axis, partly by controlling the HD-ZIP III genes in embryos.

Automatic velocity picking based on optimal key points tracking algorithm

Picking velocities from semblances manually is laborious and necessitates experience. Although various methods for automatic velocity picking have been developed, there remains a challenge in efficiently incorporating information from nearby gathers to ensure picked velocity aligns with seismic horizons while also improving picking accuracy. The conventional method of velocity picking from a semblance volume is computationally demanding, highlighting a need for a more efficient strategy. In this study, we introduce a novel method for automatic velocity picking based on multi-object tracking. This dynamic tracking process across different semblance panels can integrate information from nearby gathers effectively while maintaining computational efficiency. First, we employ accelerated density clustering on the velocity spectrum to discern cluster centers without the requirement for prior knowledge regarding the number of clusters. These cluster centers embody the maximum likelihood velocities of the main subsurface structures. Second, our proposed method tracks key points within the semblance volume. Kalman filter is adopted to adjust the tracking process, followed by interpolation on these tracked points to construct the final velocity model. Our synthetic data example demonstrates that our proposed algorithm can effectively rectify the picking errors of the clustering algorithm. We further compare the performances of the clustering method(CM), the proposed tracking method(TM), and the variational method(VM) on a field dataset from the gulf of Mexico. The results attest that our method offers superior accuracy than CM, achieves comparable accuracy with VM, and benefits from a reduced computational cost.

A Possible X-ray Quasi-periodic Oscillation in the Narrow-line Seyfert 1 Galaxy Mrk 142

A possible quasi-periodic oscillation(QPO) at frequency 7.045 × 10^(-5) Hz is found in the narrow-line Seyfert 1galaxy Mrk 142 in the data of XMM-Newton collected on 2020 April *** find that the QPO signal is statistically significantly larger than the 5σ level and highly coherent with quality factor Q > 5 at the 0.3–10 keV band by using the method of the Lomb–Scargle Periodogram,the Weighted Wavelet Z-transform and the *** analyze the data in 0.3–0.6 keV,0.6–1 keV,1–3 keV and 3–10 keV energy bands,and find obvious QPO signals at 0.3–0.6 keV and 1–3 keV *** then analyze the time-average spectra and time variability at the QPO frequency of 7.045 × 10^(-5) Hz,and use a model to fit *** find that the QPO signal mainly comes from the X-ray hot corona.

The Choice of Mesh Size and Integration Points Number for the Electrostatically Controlled Membrane Antenna Structural-Electromagnetic Coupling Model

It is of great significance for the improvement of the computational efficiency of the electrostatically controlled membrane antenna(ECMA) structural-electromagnetic coupling model through the choice of appropriate mesh size and integration points number. In this paper, the physical optics formulation is used to analyze the radiation pattern of the ECMA surface, and the finite element method is applied to the electrostatic-structural coupling analysis. An expression for the relation between the mesh size, the focal length of the parabolic antenna, and the wavelength is developed based on the discretization error analysis of the triangular mesh approximating the parabolic surface. Moreover, the integration points number in each triangular mesh is determined by the numerical evaluation of the physical optics integral. Numerical results show that the proposed method improves the computing efficiency by about 87% compared with the referenced method.

Targeted therapy is crucial for advanced colorectal cancer(CRC) positive for genetic drivers. With advances in deep sequencing technology and new targeted drugs, existing standard molecular pathological detection systems and therapeutic strategies can no longer meet the requirements for careful management of patients with advanced CRC. Thus, rare genetic variations require diagnosis and targeted therapy in clinical practice. Rare gene mutations, amplifications, and rearrangements are usually associated with poor prognosis and poor response to conventional therapy. This review summarizes the clinical diagnosis and treatment of rare genetic variations, in genes including erb-b2 receptor tyrosine kinase 2(ERBB2), B-Raf proto-oncogene, serine/threonine kinase(BRAF), ALK receptor tyrosine kinase/ROS proto-oncogene 1, receptor tyrosine kinase(ALK/ROS1), neurotrophic receptor tyrosine kinases(NTRKs), ret proto-oncogene(RET), fibroblast growth factor receptor 2(FGFR2), and epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR), to enhance understanding and identify more accurate personalized treatments for patients with rare genetic variations.

Asymmetric copolyimide membranes fabricated by nonsolvent-induced phase separation for He/CH_(4) and He/N_(2) separation

Membrane gas separation is considered an energy-saving technique to extract He from natural gas due to no phase change and room temperature ***,the membrane performance was strongly limited by the trade-off between permeance and ***,novel 4,4′-(hexafluoroisopropylidene)diphthalic anhydride(6FDA)-2,2′-bis(3-amino-4-hydroxyphenyl)hexafluoropropane(APAF)-5-amino-2-(4-aminobenzene)benzimidazole(BIA)asymmetric membranes with a thickness of 300 nm were successfully prepared by the non-solvent induced phase separation *** membrane performance was modulated by regulating dope solution compositions(e.g.,tetrahydrofuran and polymer concentration).The ideal He/CH_(4) selectivity was 124 and the optimized He permeance reached 87 GPU,beyond the current upper ***/CH_(4) selectivity was 75 and He permeance was 73 GPU for the binary mixture feed containing 0.2 mol%*** membrane showed good resistance to CO_(2) and C_(2)H_(6),which are the typical impurities in natural *** 6FDA-APAF-BIA membranes have good stability(>160 h),which can provide great potential in He extraction from natural gas.

The genome-wide meiotic recombination landscape in ciliates and its implications for crossover regulation and genome evolution

Meiotic recombination is essential for sexual reproduction and its regulation has been extensively studied in many ***,genome-wide recombination landscape has not been reported in ciliates and it remains unknown how it is affected by the unique features of ciliates:the synaptonemal complex(SC)-independent meiosis and the nuclear ***,we show the recombination landscape in the model ciliate Tetrahymena thermophila by analyzing single-nucleotide polymorphism datasets from 38 hybrid *** detect 1021 crossover(CO)events(35.8 per meiosis),corresponding to an overall CO rate of 9.9 cM/***,gene conversion by non-crossover is rare(1.03 per meiosis)and not biased towards G or C *** with the reported roles of SC in CO interference,we find no obvious sign of CO *** tends to occur within germ-soma common genomic regions and many of the 44 identified CO hotspots localize at the centromeric or subtelomeric *** ontology analyses show that CO hotspots are strongly associated with genes responding to environmental *** discuss these results with respect to how nuclear dimorphism has potentially driven the formation of the observed recombination landscape to facilitate environmental adaptation and the sharing of machinery among meiotic and somatic recombination.
