Analysis of oxide layer structure in nitrided grain-oriented silicon steel

The production of low-temperature reheated grain-oriented silicon steel is mainly based on the acquired inhibitor *** to the additional nitriding process,a high nitrogen content exists in the oxide layer,which changes the structure of the oxide *** this study,the structure of the surface oxide layer after nitriding was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),electron back-scattered diffraction(EBSD),glow discharge spectrometry(GDS),and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The size and orientation of ferritic grains in the oxide layer were characterized,and the distribution characteristics of the key elements along the thickness direction were *** results show that the oxide layer of the steel sample mainly comprised particles of Fe2SiO4 and spherical and lamellar SiO2,and Fe4N and fcc-Fe phases were also ***,the size and orientation of ferritic grains in the oxide layer were different from those of coarse matrix ferritic grains beneath the oxide layer;however,some ferritic grains exhibited same orientations as those in the neighboring *** nitrogen content was detected in the oxide layer than that in the matrix beneath the oxide *** form of nitrogen enrichment in the oxide layer was analyzed,and the growth mechanism of ferritic grains during the oxide layer formation is proposed.

Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a malignant tumor with high morbidity and mortality *** accounts for the majority of primary liver cancer *** precursor protein(APP),a cell membrane protein,plays a vital role in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease,and has been found to be implicated in tumor growth and ***,to understand the relationship between APP and 5-fluorouracil(5-FU)resistance in liver cancer,Cell Counting Kit-8,apoptosis and cell cycle assays,western blotting,and reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction(q PCR)analysis were *** results demonstrated that APP expression in Bel7402-5-FU cells was significantly up-regulated,as compared with that in Bel7402 *** successful construction of APP-silenced(si APP)and overexpressed(OE)Bel7402 cell lines,data revealed that the Bel7402-APP751-OE cell line was insensitive,while the Bel7402-si APP cell line was sensitive to 5-FU in comparison to the matched control ***,APP overexpression decreased,while APP silencing increased 5-FU-induced apoptosis in Bel7402 ***,APP overexpression and silencing can regulate the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway and the expression of apoptotic suppressor genes(B-cell lymphoma-2(Bcl-2)and B-cell lymphoma-extra large(Bcl-xl)).Taken together,these results preliminarily revealed that APP overexpression contributes to the resistance of liver cancer cells to 5-FU,providing a new perspective for drug resistance.

LIN28A,an RNA-binding protein,plays an important role in porcine induced pluripotent stem cells(piPSCs).However,the molecular mechanism underlying the function of LIN28A in the maintenance of pluripotency in piPSCs remains ***,we explored the function of LIN28A in piPSCs based on its overexpression and *** performed total RNA sequencing(RNA-seq)of piPSCs and detected the expression levels of relevant genes by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR),western blot analysis,and immunofluorescence *** indicated that piPSC proliferation ability decreased following LIN28A ***,when LIN28A expression in the shLIN28A2 group was lower(by 20%)than that in the negative control knockdown group(shNC),the pluripotency of piPSCs disappeared and they differentiated into neuroectoderm *** also showed that LIN28A overexpression inhibited the expression of DUSP(dual-specificity phosphatases)family phosphatases and activated the mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)signaling ***,LIN28A appears to activate the MAPK signaling pathway to maintain the pluripotency and proliferation ability of *** study provides a new resource for exploring the functions of LIN28A in piPSCs.

Two strains of Fe/Mn oxidizing bacteria tolerant to high concentrations of multiple heavy metal(loid)s and efficient decontamination for them were *** surface of the bio-Fe/Mn oxides produced by the oxidation of Fe(II)and Mn(II)by Pseudomonas taiwanensis(marked as P4)and Pseudomonas plecoglossicida(marked as G1)contains rich reactive oxygen functional groups,which play critical roles in the removal efficiency and immobilization of heavymetal(loid)s in co-contamination *** isolated strains P4 and G1 can growwell in the following environments:pH 5-9,NaCl 0-4%,and temperature 20-30℃.The removal efficiencies of Fe,Pb,As,Zn,Cd,Cu,and Mn are effective after inoculation of the strains P4 and G1 in the simulated water system(the initial concentrations of heavy metal(loid)were 1 mg/L),approximately reaching 96%,92%,85%,67%,70%,54%and 15%,*** exchangeable and carbonate bound As,Cd,Pb and Cu are more inclined to convert to the Fe-Mn oxide bound fractions in P4 and G1 treated soil,thereby reducing the phytoavailability and bioaccessible of heavy metal(loid)*** research provides alternatives method to treat water and soil containing high concentrations of multi-heavy metal(loid)s.
