Paleoenvironmental reconstruction and organic matter accumulation of the paleogene shahejie oil shale in the Zhanhua Sag, Bohai Bay Basin, Eastern China

The controlling factors of organic-rich shale accumulation is essential for the exploration and development of shale oil and gas *** sedimentary environment plays a vital role in the formation of organic-rich sediments in lacustrine *** article unravels the mineralogy,geochemistry,and paleoenvironmental evolution during the deposition of the Paleogene Shahejie Formation(Es_(3)^(L)).It discusses the effects of paleoclimate,paleosalinity,paleoredox conditions,paleowater depth,and paleoproductivity on organic matter(OM)***,the OM enrichment model was *** results show that the mineralogical compositions are mainly composed of calcite(avg.40.13%),quartz(avg.21.64%)and clay minerals(avg.24.07%),accompanied by dolomite(avg.7.07%),feldspar(avg.6.36%)and pyrite(avg.2.95%).The Es_(3)^(L) shale has a high abundance of OM,with total organic carbon(TOC)ranging from 1.07%to 5.12%.The organic matter type is mainly composed of type I-II_(1) kerogen,which is generally considered a good-quality source *** source of OM is a mixture of lower bacteria,algae,and *** the early sedimentary period,the paleoclimate was dry and cold,with high salinity,intense reducibility,and relatively low *** the late sedimentary period,the climate became warmer and more *** a result,the salinity decreased to a level that was suitable for biological reproduction,and productivity increased gradually due to the input of terrigenous *** and paleoclimate determined the environment of the sedimentary period,in addition,paleoproductivity and paleoredox condition indicated the formation and preservation conditions of *** warm and humid climate,brackish water,suitable reduction conditions and high productivity are the favorable conditions for the generation and preservation of organic *** research results may have implications for the genetic mechanisms of organic matter *** will provide theoret

The Bozhong Sag is the largest petroliferous sag in the Bohai Bay Basin,and the source rocks of Paleogene Dongying and Shahejie Formations were buried *** of the drillings were located at the structural high,and there were few wells that met good quality source rocks,so it is difficult to evaluate the source rocks in the study area precisely by geochemical analysis *** on the Rock-Eval pyrolysis,total organic carbon(TOC)testing,the organic matter(OM)abundance of Paleogene source rocks in the southwestern Bozhong Sag were evaluated,including the lower of second member of Dongying Formation(E_(3)d2L),the third member of Dongying Formation(E_(3)d_(3)),the first and second members of Shahejie Formation(E_(2)s_(1+2)),the third member of Shahejie Formation(E_(2)s_(3)).The results indicate that the E_(2)s_(1+2)and E_(2)s_(3)have better hydrocarbon generative potentials with the highest OM abundance,the E_(3)d_(3)are of the second good quality,and the E_(3)d2L have poor to fair hydrocarbon generative ***,the well logs were applied to predict TOC and residual hydrocarbon generation potential(S_(2))based on the sedimentary facies classification,usingΔlogR,generalizedΔlogR,logging multiple linear regression and BP neural network *** various methods were compared,and the BP neural network method have relatively better prediction *** on the pre-stack simultaneous inversion(P-wave impedance,P-wave velocity and density inversion results)and the post-stack seismic attributes,the three-dimensional(3D)seismic prediction of TOC and S_(2)was carried *** results show that the seismic near well prediction results of TOC and S_(2)based on seismic multi-attributes analysis correspond well with the results of well logging methods,and the plane prediction results are identical with the sedimentary facies map in the study *** TOC and S_(2)values of E_(2)s_(1+2)and E_(2)s_(3)are higher than those in E_(3)d_(3)and E_(3)d_(2)L,basicall

BACKGROUND Older patients are prone to postoperative cognitive decline after laparoscopic rectal cancer surgery,which may be associated with increased intraoperative intracranial pressure(ICP).This study investigated the correlation between intra-operative ICP changes,as indicated by measurements of the optic nerve sheath diameter(ONSD)using ultrasonography,and subsequent cognitive function to provide better patient *** To evaluate changes in ICP and associated postoperative neurocognition in older adults after laparoscopic radical resection for rectal *** We included 140 patients who visited the Mianyang Central Hospital for malig-nant rectal tumors,measured their ONSDs before surgery and 30 and 60 minutes after the Trendelenburg position during surgery,and evaluated the patients’cog-nitive function 1 day before surgery and 1,4,and 7 days after *** Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE)and confusion assessment method(CAM)scores of the patients with different ONSDs were compared at different times after *** In patients with an ONSD greater than 5.00 mm(group A1),the MMSE scores at 1 day and 4 days after surgery were significantly lower than those of patients with an ONSD less than or equal to 4.00 mm(group A2)(Pline in cognitive function among older adults after the procedure may be related to intracranial hypertension during surgery.

The codes of matter and their applications

The elements in the periodic table are the building blocks used to form substances with different compositions. Nevertheless, it is the properties of substances that are decisive for their existence and practical applications. Searching for new class of materials with exotic properties has always been challenging because of the complexity of both the theoretical and the experimental approaches developed so far. Here, we propose that the three ubiquitous and paramount attributes of all existing matter charge(Q), spin(S) or rotational motion, and linear motion(K) can be used to account for the formation of different types of matter/materials and their properties that have been or will be known to us. The three attributes or original codes can produce six primary codes which can further produce another sixty codes. The physical meanings represented by each code are unlocked. The table consisting of the 60 codes is introduced as the table of properties of codes of matter. We demonstrate that these codes can be used as building blocks to form new properties and new materials. Many new types of quasiparticles and new classes of materials with exotic properties of Q, S and K are predicted. Their possible experimental realizations are proposed. The possible applications of the codes of matter in other fields such as elementary particles, photonics and chemistry are briefly discussed. We know that there should be more new materials and new electronic, spin and photonic states to be discovered, but we do not know what they are. The codes of matter clearly reveal to us how many and what they are and how easily we can recognize what they are. Experimental and theoretical exploration for new forms of matter, new quasiparticles, or new electronic and spin states, or new states of photon or properties of light, as well as macroscopic entities with exotic properties represented by the codes of matter, is imminent.

Dirac spin-gapless semiconductors:promising platforms for massless and dissipationless spintronics and new(quantum) anomalous spin Hall effects

It is proposed that the new generation of spintronics should be ideally massless and dissipationless for the realization of ultra-fast and ultra-low-power spintronic devices. We demonstrate that the spin-gapless materials with linear energy dispersion are unique materials that can realize these massless and dissipationless states. Furthermore, we propose four new types of spin Hall efects that consist of spin accumulation of equal numbers of electrons and holes having the same or opposite spin polarization at the sample edge in Hall efect measurements, but with vanishing Hall voltage. hese new Hall efects can be classiied as(quantum) anomalous spin Hall efects. he physics for massless and dissipationless spintronics and the new spin Hall efects are presented for spin-gapless semiconductors with either linear or parabolic dispersion. New possible candidates for Dirac-type or parabolic-type spin-gapless semiconductors are proposed in ferromagnetic monolayers of simple oxides with either honeycomb or square latices.

China’s natural gas market is focusing on price reform and aims to reconstruct vertically integrated industrial chains in the *** on the mixed complementarity problem model of gas markets with nodes in Henan Province,China,as an example,this paper applies numerical modeling to simulate the effects of social welfare and equilibrium prices on nodes in two scenarios:pipeline integration and pipeline *** findings reveal the following:(1)Pipeline separation yields greater overall social welfare than pipeline integration,with the welfare shifting from gas producers to consumption markets.(2)Pipeline separation lowers the equilibrium consumption prices by driving competition among gas supply sources.(3)Pipeline separation will increase the contribution of natural gas to primary energy.

With the rapid increase of memory consumption by applications running on cloud data centers,we need more efficient memory management in a virtualized *** huge pages becomes more critical for a virtual machine's performance when it runs large working set size *** with large working set sizes are more sensitive to memory allocation,which requires us to quickly adjust the virtual machine's memory to accommodate memory phase *** would be much more efficient if we could adjust virtual machines'memory at the granularity of huge ***,existing virtual machine memory reallocation techniques,such as ballooning,do not support huge *** addition,in order to drive effective memory reallocation,we need to predict the actual memory demand of a virtual *** find that traditional memory demand estimation methods designed for regular pages cannot be simply ported to a system adopting huge *** to adjust the memory of virtual machines timely and effectively according to the periodic change of memory demand is another challenge we *** paper proposes a dynamic huge page based memory balancing system(HPMBS)for efficient memory management in a virtualized *** first rebuild the ballooning mechanism in order to dispatch memory in the granularity of huge *** then design and implement a huge page working set size estimation mechanism which can accurately estimate a virtual machine's memory demand in huge pages *** these two mechanisms,we finally use an algorithm based on dynamic programming to achieve dynamic memory *** show that our system saves memory and improves overall system performance with low overhead.

Exact Inference for Joint Type-I Hybrid Censoring Model with Exponential Competing Risks Data

Assuming that the failure time under different risk factors follows the independent exponential distribution, a joint model under Type-I hybrid censoring is addressed in detail. Based on the Maximum likelihood estimates （MLEs） of unknown parameters, we obtain exact distributions of MLEs by using the moment generating function （MGF）. Confidence intervals （CIs） of parameters are constructed through both the exact method and the parametric bootstrap method. Then we compare the performances of different methods by Monte Carlo simulations. Finally, the validity of the proposed models and methods are demonstrated by a numerical example.

Tensor form factors of P→P,S,V and A transitions within standard and covariant light-front approaches

We investigate the tensor form factors of,and A transitions within the standard light-front(SLF)and the covariant light-front(CLF)quark models(QMs).The self-consistency and Lorentz covariance of CLF QM are analyzed via these quantities,and the effects of zero-mode are *** the and A transitions,besides the inconsistency between the results extracted via longitudinal and transverse polarization states,which is caused by the residual-dependent spurious contributions,we find and analyze a“novel”self-consistence problem of the traditional CLF QM,caused by different strategies for dealing with the trace term in CLF matrix element.A possible solution to the problems of traditional CLF QM is discussed and confirmed ***,the theoret-ical predictions for the tensor form factors of some and()induced and A transitions are updated within the CLF QM with a self-consistent scheme.

Detection of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E and its clinical significance in hepatocellular carcinoma

AIM:To study the expression of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E(eIF4E),which is closely correlated with malignant tumors,and its relationship to prognosis in hepatocellular carcinoma. METHODS:Western blotting was performed to quantify the elF4E protein expression in the normal human liver cell line L02 and the hepatoma cell lines Hep3B, HepG2,and ***-six hepatocellular carcinoma samples with complete clinical data were obtained from Changzheng Hospital during the period of December 2008 to July *** expression of eIF4E in the tumor samples and their adjacent tissues were detected by *** relationship between the test results and hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) prognosis was statistically analysed by using a COX proportional hazard model. RESULTS:Western blotting analysis showed that there were distinct eIF4E protein bands in all three of the hepatoma cell *** particular,the HepG2 cell line had the highest level of eIF4E protein *** L02 cell group had a low eIF4E *** assay showed that there were 32 cases in which the tumour tissue expression was higher than their adjacent tissues,accounting for 69.57%.There were also 14 cases in which the tumour tissue expression was lower or no significant difference was found, accounting for 30.43%.COX proportional hazards model analysis showed that HCC prognosis was related to the depth of invasion,the overexpression of eIF4E and p53, possibly as independent HCC prognostic predictors. CONCLUSION:In summary,eIF4E expression is associated with liver cancer,and patients with high eIF4E expression levels have a higher risk of recurrence.
