Objective In China, 24 cases of human infection with highly pathogenic avian influenza(HPAI) H5 N6 virus have been confirmed since the first confirmed case in 2014. Therefore, we developed and assessed two H5 N6 candidate vaccine viruses(CVVs).Methods In accordance with the World Health Organization(WHO) recommendations, we constructed two reassortant viruses using reverse genetics(RG) technology to match the two different epidemic H5 N6 viruses. We performed complete genome sequencing to determine the genetic stability. We assessed the growth ability of the studied viruses in MDCK cells and conducted a hemagglutination inhibition assay to analyze their antigenicity. Pathogenicity attenuation was also evaluated in vitro and in *** The results showed that no mutations occurred in hemagglutinin or neuraminidase, and both CVVs retained their original antigenicity. The replication capacity of the two CVVs reached a level similar to that of A/Puerto Rico/8/34 in MDCK cells. The two CVVs showed low pathogenicity in vitro and in vivo, which are in line with the WHO requirements for *** We obtained two genetically stable CVVs of HPAI H5N6 with high growth characteristics,which may aid in our preparedness for a potential H5N6 pandemic.

Pushing artificial intelligence(AI) from central cloud to network edge has reached board consensus in both industry and academia for materializing the vision of artificial intelligence of things(AIoT) in the sixth-generation(6G) era. This gives rise to an emerging research area known as edge intelligence, which concerns the distillation of human-like intelligence from the vast amount of data scattered at the wireless network edge. Typically, realizing edge intelligence corresponds to the processes of sensing, communication,and computation, which are coupled ingredients for data generation, exchanging, and processing, ***, conventional wireless networks design the three mentioned ingredients separately in a task-agnostic manner, which leads to difficulties in accommodating the stringent demands of ultra-low latency, ultra-high reliability, and high capacity in emerging AI applications like auto-driving and metaverse. This thus prompts a new design paradigm of seamlessly integrated sensing, communication, and computation(ISCC) in a taskoriented manner, which comprehensively accounts for the use of the data in downstream AI tasks. In view of its growing interest, this study provides a timely overview of ISCC for edge intelligence by introducing its basic concept, design challenges, and enabling techniques, surveying the state-of-the-art advancements, and shedding light on the road ahead.

Several special mechanical properties,such as dilatancy and compressibility,of cemented paste backfill(CPB)are controlled by its internal microstructure and *** mesoscopic structure changes of CPB during the development process were *** the basis of the scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and mechanical test results of CPB,the particle size information of CPB was extracted,and a two-dimensional particle flow code(PFC)model of CPB was established to analyze the evolution rule of mesoscopic parameters during CPB *** embedded FISH language in PFC was used to develop a program for establishing a PFC model on the basis of the SEM *** mesoscopic parameters of CPB samples at different curing times,such as coordination number(C_(n)),contact force chain,and rose diagram,were obtained by recording and loading and used to analyze the intrinsic relationship between mesoscopic parameter variations and macroscopic mechanical response during CPB *** is of considerable significance to establish the physical model of CPB using the PFC to reveal the mesoscopic structure of CPB.

We present a method of discriminant diffusion maps analysis(DDMA) for evaluating tool wear during milling processes. As a dimensionality reduction technique, the DDMA method is used to fuse and reduce the original features extracted from both the time and frequency domains, by preserving the diffusion distances within the intrinsic feature space and coupling the features to a discriminant kernel to refine the information from the high-dimensional feature space. The proposed DDMA method consists of three main steps:(1) signal processing and feature extraction;(2) intrinsic dimensionality estimation;(3) feature fusion implementation through feature space mapping with diffusion distance preservation. DDMA has been applied to current signals measured from the spindle in a machine center during a milling experiment to evaluate the tool wear status. Compared with the popular principle component analysis method, DDMA can better preserve the useful intrinsic information related to tool wear status. Thus, two important aspects are highlighted in this study: the benefits of the significantly lower dimension of the intrinsic features that are sensitive to tool wear, and the convenient availability of current signals in most industrial machine centers.

Development of burn-resistant titanium alloys is the most direct way of mitigating the ignition and propagation of titanium fires in jet engines. WSTi3515S alloy（Ti–35V–15Cr–0.3Si–0.1C） is a new high alloying beta type burn-resistant titanium alloy, belonging to Ti–V–Cr type alloys which have been made significant progress in engineering technology in the past 5 years. The physical properties of WSTi3515S burn-resistant titanium alloy such as the elastic properties and thermal properties were measured and analyzed in different conditions. The results show that both the Young＇s modulus and shear modulus of WSTi3515S alloy decrease slightly with the temperature increasing at the tested temperature range. The Poisson＇s ratio of WSTi3515S alloy is around 0.36. However, the thermal properties such as the specific heat, thermal diffusivity, thermal conductivity and thermal expansion increase with the temperature increasing, which results from the strengthening of lattice heat vibration at elevated temperature. And the room temperature density of WSTi3515S alloy is 5.295 gácm^（-3）.

Carbon nanotube(CNT)fibers have great promise for constructing multifunctional fabrics with high electrical conductivity,good electro-heating ability,excellent flexibility,and a low ***,the inter-fiber contacts in the fabric greatly reduce these advantages and limit their ***,a simple pressure-fusing method to fabricate single-wall CNT(SWCNT)fiber non-woven fabrics(NWFs)that are composed of interconnected SWCNT fibers with fused joints is reported,which have good flexibility,a low density of 0.46 g/cm^(3),a high electrical conductivity of 3.7×10^(5)S/m,and a record high specific electrical conductivity of 803(S·m^(2))/*** also showed excellent electrical heating ability,so that a temperature of~160℃was rapidly reached at a low voltage of 2 *** with their low density,the SWCNT fiber NWFs are promising for use as a heating unit for low temperature battery protection and de-icing applications.

Icariin,a major prenylated flavonoid found in Epimedium spp.,is a bioactive constituent of Herba Epimedii and has been shown to exert neuroprotective effects in experimental models of Alzheimer’s *** this study,we investigated the neuroprotective mechanism of icariin in an APP/PS1/Tau triple-transgenic mouse model of Alzheimer’s *** performed behavioral tests,pathological examination,and western blot assay,and found that memory deficits of the model mice were obviously improved,neuronal and synaptic damage in the cerebral cortex was substantially mitigated,and amyloid-βaccumulation and tau hyperphosphorylation were considerably reduced after 5 months of intragastric administration of icariin at a dose of 60 mg/kg body weight per ***,deficits of proteins in the insulin signaling pathway and their phosphorylation levels were significantly reversed,including the insulin receptor,insulin receptor substrate 1,phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase,protein kinase B,and glycogen synthase kinase 3β,and the levels of glucose transporter 1 and 3 were markedly *** findings suggest that icariin can improve learning and memory impairments in the mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease by regulating brain insulin signaling and glucose transporters,which lays the foundation for potential clinical application of icariin in the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.

Effect of Niobium and Titanium on Dynamic Recrystallization Behavior of Low Carbon Steels

Using a Gleeble 3800 thermo-mechanical simulator, the effect of niobium and titanium on the dynamic recrystallization （DRX） behavior of low carbon steels was investigated. Isothermal single compression tests were performed in the temperature range of 850 to 1 150 ℃ at constant strain rates of 0.1 to 5 s-1. The experimental results showed that the addition of niobium and titanium to the low carbon steels significantly increased both the peak stress and steady state stress. The activation energy of deformation Qd was larger than the activation energy associated with the steady state stress Qss. Furthermore, the difference between Qd and Qss became significant because of the addition of niobium and titanium. DRX is effectively retarded because of solute dragging and dynamic precipitate pinning of niobium and titanium, resulting in higher values of the peak strain and steady state strain. Finally, the influence of niobium and titanium on the DRX kinetics and steady state grain size was determined.

Use of Evidence-Based Research Approach in RCTs of Acupuncture-Related Therapies for Primary Dysmenorrhea: A Meta-Research

Objective To assess the use of evidence-based research(EBR)approach in randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of acupuncture-related therapies for primary dysmenorrhea(PD).Methods PubMed,EMBASE,Cochrane Library,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang Database,Chinese Biomedical Database,and China Science and Technology Journal Database were searched from January 2013 to December 2022 for RCTs of acupuncture on *** full text and references of each RCT were read to assess whether systematic reviews(SRs)or other types of studies with similar research questions and end-users’perspectives were cited to justify and design the *** addition,the discussion section were analyzed to evaluate whether trials placed the new result in the existing SRs to draw a *** logistic regression was used to find variables that associated with 3 aspects of EBR approach:(1)citing clinical studies for justification,(2)citing relevant studies that obtain the perspectives of end users,and(3)citing clinical studies for results *** Of 473 RCTs included,45.67%(216)of the trials cited relevant similar studies,21.56%(102)referenced to the studies that collected end-users’perspectives,and 10.99%(52)placed result in the context of the previous *** RCTs appropriately applied EBR *** all the included studies,3.17%(15)of the trials used SRs to inform study questions but none of them used updated SRs with acceptable quality;1.05%(5)of the trials cited SRs of end-user’s perspectives in the justification and design of the study,and only 1 trial added results in existing SR to draw a *** of publication,language,funding,registration,ethical approval and number of sites were significantly associated with 1 of the 3 aspects of EBR *** Few RCTs in acupuncture-related therapies for PD used the EBR approach to minimize research ***,research institutes,funding agencies,ethics committees,journals and peer
