Femtosecond laser irradiation induced heterojunctions between carbon nanofibers and silver nanowires for a flexible strain sensor

We report the direct joining of carbon nanofibers(CNFs)to silver nanowire(Ag NWs)by controlled irradiation with femtosecond(fs)laser *** separate types of nano-junction dependent on joint geometry,laser fluence and irradiation time are identified in irradiated *** one type of junction,the tip of an Ag NW is melted and flows to form a bond with an adjacent *** second type of junction occurs without significant heating of the Ag NW and involves the softening and flow of carbon in the CNF in response to the transfer of plasmonic energy from the Ag NW into the *** in a T-type joint configuration can be of either kind depending on the relative orientation of the incident optical field and the long axis of the Ag *** simulations were used to explore this effect for different joint geometries and laser *** electrical properties of a heterojunction involving a single Ag NW-CNF structure have been measured,and it is found that the junction resistance can be reduced by six orders of magnitude after laser ***,we have investigated the properties of a strain sensor based on an Ag NW-CNF hybrid nanowire network and find that this device can exhibit high *** sensitivity occurs as nano-junctions induced by fs laser irradiation greatly reduces the initial *** laser-based technique for direct nanojoining of CNF and Ag NWs may enable the design of robust nanowire structures for application in a variety of new devices.

There is an urgent demand to explore new approaches of improving the electric breakdown strength of the ferroelectric thin-film capacitor without the degradation of the high dielectric *** this work,LaNiO_(3)/Ba_(0.67)Sr_(0.33)TiO_(3)(LNO/BST) thin film and SrTiO_(3)(STO)/LNO/BST/SrTiO_(3)(STO) were prepared by using radio frequency(RF) magnetron sputtering technique and ultrathin STO insulator layers were inserted between the LNO/BST and metal electrodes(Au or Pt) to improve the electric breakdown strength and the leakage current of the LNO/BST thin film.X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) investigations revealed that these multilayer thin films show compact,smooth and uniform *** leakage current density of STO/LNO/BST/STO thin film was decreased by one order of magnitude and breakdown strength of STO/LNO/BST/STO thin film was enhanced from 0.72 to 1.26 MV-cm-1compared with that of LNO/BST thin ***,the dielectric constant of the STO/LNO/BST/STO thin film keeps at the same level as that of LNO/BST thin film,and dielectric loss of the STO/LNO/BST/STO thin film was decreased slightly compared with that of LNO/BST thin film.

Real-time feedback control of vertical growth rate,called gamma control,has been successfully applied to experimental advanced superconducting tokamak(EAST).In this paper,a new gamma control method is proposed to regulate the vertical growth rate,which is an estimator of plasma vertical ***,the gamma controller can be utilized to keep the tokamak plasma away from its unstable *** this work,the main development process includes three steps:(1)real-time implementation of model-based vertical growth rate calculation,taking advantage of GPU parallel computing capability,(2)design of plasma shape response for dynamic shape control using a slight modification to the plasma boundary,and(3)development of a gamma control algorithm integrated into the EAST plasma control system(PCS).The gamma control was experimentally verified in the EAST 2019 experiment *** is shown that the time evolution of the real-time vertical growth rate agrees with the target value,indicating that the real-time vertical growth rate can be regulated by gamma control.

Perfuorinated compounds(PFCs)are toxic and widely present in the environment,and therefore effective adsorbents are required to remove PFCs from environmental *** the present study,a new type of fuorinated biomass materials was synthesized via an ingenious fuorosilanization *** adsorbents were applied for the adsorption of 13typical PFCs,including perfuorocarboxylic acids(PFCAs)and perfuorosulfonic acids(PFSAs).By comparing their adsorption performance,Fluorinated cedar slag(FCS)was discovered to have the best absorption efficiency and enabled highly efficient enrichment of *** adsorption recovery of FCS with the investigated PFCs is greater than 90%under the optimal adsorption *** to the high affinity of F-F sorbent-sorbate interaction,FCS had good adsorption capacities of PFCs from aqueous solution,with the maximum adsorption capacity of 15.80 mg/g for PFOS and 10.71 mg/g for PFOA,***,the adsorption time could be achieved in a short time(8 min).Using the FCS absorbent,an innovative FCS-solid phase extraction assisted with high performance liquid chromatography-electrospray-tandem mass spectrometry(FCS-SPE-HPLC-ESI-MS/MS)method was first developed to sensitively detect PFCs in the environmental water *** intra-day and inter-day recovery rates of the 13 compounds ranged from 90.7%-104.3%,with the RSD of 2.1%-4.7%(intra-day)and 2.5%-8.5%(inter-day),*** research demonstrates the potential of the newly fuoro-functionalized plant biomass to adsorb PFCs from environmental water,with the advantages of high adsorption efficiencies,high antiinterference,easy operation and low economic cost.

A new coordination compound of Zn(NH3)3(AFT)2(1,ZnC6H13N17O2,AFT =4-amino-3-(5-tetrazolate)-furazan)was synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and FT-IR *** crystal structure was determined by X-ray single-crystal *** crystal belongs to the orthorhombic system,space group Pnma with a = 18.680(3),b = 6.9438(11),c =12.268(2)A,μ= 1.592 mm-1,V= 1591.3(4)A3,M,= 420.72,Dc=1.756 g·cm^-3,Z= 4,F(000)= 860,the final R = 0.0480 and wR = 0.1262 for the observed reflections with I>2σ(Ⅰ).The zinc(Ⅱ)ion is five-coordinated by N atoms from two AFT"ligands and three NH3 *** thermal decomposition mechanism of compound 1 was tested by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and thermogravimetry-derivative thermogravimetry(TG-DTG)*** DSC curve exhibits two endothermic and one exothermic *** addition,the non-isothermal kinetics parameters were calculated by using the Kissinger s method and Ozawa-Doyle's ***,the entropy of activation(ΔS≠),enthalpy of activation(ΔH≠),free energy of activation(ΔG≠)and impact sensitivity(IS)was also obtained.

Materials featuring topological energy bands and nontrivial surface states hold significant promise in unlocking unprecedented opportunities for innovating electrocatalytic ***,it remains a challenge to realize superior topological catalysts which can carry both high catalytic activity and excellent catalytic ***,we propose that a family of Ni-based binary materials hosting fantasying topological conjunct-nodalpoint state and a large nontrivial energy window(NEWD)represents an ideal choice for such superior topological catalysts in hydrogen evolution *** presence of conjunct-nodal-points ensures long Fermi arcs on the surface,thereby enabling an extremely high catalytic *** NEWD plays a crucial role in stabilizing the high catalytic activity against external perturbations,such as strain and electron/hole *** roles for conjunctnodal-points and NEWD are substantiated by the observable weakening of catalytic performance during topological phase transitions,which result in the removal of the conjunct-nodal-points,NEWD and their corresponding long Fermi *** work unveils a hidden mechanism and opens a feasible route for developing superior quantum catalysts from novel topology point of view.

Cold-inducible RNA-binding protein （CIRP） is an RNA-binding protein that is expressed in normal testes and downregulated after heat stress caused by cryptorchidism, varicocele or environmental temperatures. The purpose of this study was to investigate the functions of CIRP in the testes. We employed RNAi technique to knock down the expression of CIRP in the testes, and performed haematoxylin and eosin staining to evaluate morphological changes following knockdown. Germ cell apoptosis was examined by terminal deoxynucleotidal transferase-mediated dUTP nick end labelling （TUNEL） assay, and mitogen-activated protein kinase （MAPK） signalling pathways were investigated by Western blotting to determine the possible mechanism of apoptosis. We found that using siRNA is a feasible and reliable method for knocking down gene expression in the testes. Compared to controls, the mean seminiferous tubule diameter （MSTD） and the thickness of the germ cell layers decreased following siRNA treatment, whereas the percentage of apoptotic seminiferous tubules increased. The p44/p42, p38 and SAPK/JNK MAPK pathways were activated after downregulation of CIRP. In conclusion, we discovered that downregulation of CIRP resulted in increased germ cell apoptosis, possibly viathe activation of the p44/p42, p38 and SAPK/JNK MAPK pathways.

Volatile organic compounds(VOCs)are important precursors of secondary organic compounds and ozone,which raise major environmental *** investigate the VOC emission characteristics,measurements of VOCs based on proton transfer reaction-mass spectrometry during 2017 were conducted in a coastal industrial area in Ningbo,Zhejiang Province,*** on seasonal variation in species concentration,the positive matrix factorization(PMF)receptor model was applied to apportion the sources of VOCs in each *** PMF results revealed that unknown acetonitrile source,paint solvent,electronics industry,biomass burning,secondary formation and biogenic emission were mainly attributed to VOC *** burning and secondary formation were the major sources of VOCs and contributed more than 70%of VOC emissions in spring and ***-related sources contributed 8.65%–31.2%of the VOCs throughout the *** unknown acetonitrile source occurred in winter and spring,and contributed 7.6%–43.73%of the VOC emissions in the two *** probability function(CPF)analysis illustrated that the industry sources came from local emission,while biomass burning and biogenic emission mainly came from the northwest *** potential source contribution function(PSCF)model showed that secondary formation-related source was mainly from Jiangsu Province,northeastern China and the surrounding *** potential source areas of unknown acetonitrile source were northern Zhejiang Province,southern Jiangsu Province and the northeastern coastal marine environments.
