The Neoarchean charnockites of North margain of North China Craton(NCC) has become a hot topic into understanding the Early Precambrian basement. Although there is a broad consensus that charnockite is usually related to granulite facies metamorphism, whether its petrogenesis and tectonics characteristics remains controversial. Inclusions within hypersthene and garnet in charnockite are used to identify the peak granulite facies mineral assemblage, with the formation of Magnesian-charnockite attributed to anatexis of the protolith associated with this granulite facies metamorphism. The distribution of major and trace elements in charnockite is very uneven, significant depleted in LILEs(eg. Cs, U, Th) and HFSEs(eg. Nb, Ta, P and Ti), riched in Sr. Raising to the coexistence of Eu-enrichment and Eu-depletion type of REE patterns that influenced by the content of plagioclase and the remnants minerals of zircon and apatite. Comparative the petrography, geochemistry and geochronology data of Magnesian-charnockite indicate that the ratios of mafic pellites and basalts involved in anatectic melting are different by the upwelling of mantle magma, also resulting in the Eu anormals characteristics. The formation of the Magnesian-charnockite is closely connected with the subduction of the NCC oceanic crust(About ~2.5 Ga). However, Ferroan-charnockite may be the formed by the crystallization differentiation of the upwelling of mantle-derived shoshonitic magma(About ~2.45 Ga), with the lower crust material addition.

Background: Tracheal, bronchus, and lung cancer (TBL) is a major cause of mortality and top contributor to productivity loss in large emerging economies such as the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa). We examined the time trends of TBL mortality across the BRICS to better understand the disease burden in these countries and inform public health and healthcare resource ***: TBL mortality-related data between 1990 and 2019 were obtained from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019 and analyzed using age-period-cohort models. Net drift (local drift) was used to describe the expected age-adjusted TBL mortality rate over time overall (each age group); the longitudinal age curve was used to reflect the age effect; the period rate ratios (RRs) were used to reflect the period effect; and the cohort RR was used to reflect the cohort ***: In 2019, there were 958.3 thousand TBL deaths across the BRICS, representing 46.9% of the global TBL deaths. From 1990 to 2019, the age-standardized mortality rate (ASMR) of TBL decreased in Russia, Brazil, and South Africa while increased in China and India, with the largest reduction reported in Russia (-29.6%) and the largest increase in China (+22.4%). India showed an overall increase (+15.7%) in TBL mortality but the mortality risk decreased among individuals born after 1990 (men) and 1995 (women). Although South Africa and Brazil experienced an overall decline in TBL mortality, their recent birth cohorts, such as Brazilian individuals born after 1985 (men) and 1980 (women), and South African men born after 1995, had an increasing TBL mortality risk. China has experienced an overall increase in TBL mortality, with the mortality risk rising among individuals born after 1995 for both men and women. All around the world, ancient legends exist about the Great Flood, and the influence of the Great Flood in human evolutionary history is a hotly debated topic. In China, the legend of the prehistoric Great Flood and Yu the Great's flood control has a long history and is considered to be closely linked to the establishment of the Xia Dynasty. However, there is a lack of solid scientific evidence. Against this issue, some scholars have proposed that an earthquake around 1920 BCE in the Guanting Basin along the upper reaches of the Yellow River led to the creation of a lake by damming in the Jishi Gorge and that the outburst of water from that lake led to the massive flood in the Yellow River region. These studies provided new scientific evidence for the Chinese legend. In this paper, we date skeletal samples embedded in earthquake sand blasting from the Lajia site, analyze remains from natural disasters(such as earthquakes and floods) and also archaeological remains. In addition, we compared the skeletal samples dating with that of sediments from the dammed-up lake. Our results are inconsistent with those of previous scholars. The earthquake at the Lajia site occurred no earlier than 1800 BCE, and the dammed-up lake in Jishi Gorge had disappeared by 3600 BCE. Thus, the formation and outburst of the dammed lake, the sudden death of ancient humans at the Lajia site and the ancient earthquake were independent events occurring at different times. In addition, the massive flood in the upper reaches of the Yellow River did not actually happen. Thus, we argue against and invalidate the hypothesis that the massive flood was related to Yu the Great's flood control and the establishment of the Xia Dynasty.

The effects of heat treatment on microstructures and hardening response of Mg-6Zn4）.5Er4）.5Ca （wt%） alloy were investigated by optical microscope （OM）, scanning elec- tron microscope （SEM）, and transmission electron microscope （TEM） in this paper. The results show that the Mg（Zn4）.5Er- 0.5Ca alloy contains Mg3Zn6Erx quasicrystalline phase （I- phase） and Ca2Mg6Zn3 phase under as-cast condition. Most of the Ca2Mg6Zn3 phases and I-phases dissolve into matrix during heat treatment at 475 ℃ for 5 h. After the as-solution alloy was aged at 175 ℃ for 36 h, a large amount of MgZn2 precipitate with several nanometers precipitate. It is suggested that the trace addition of Ca results in refining the size of the precipitate, and the presence of the nanoscale MgZn2 phase is the main factor to improve the peak-aged hardness greatly to 87 HV, which in- creases about 40 % compared with that of as-cast alloy.

Salt spray is a natural disturbance in coastal *** mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)are recognized as bio-ameliorators of soil salinity in ***,the mechanism through which AMF protects Cinnamomum camphora against aerial salinity remains *** address this knowledge gap,plants were subjected to four fungal regimes,namely sterilized fungal inoculum,Glomus tortuosum,Funneliformis mosseae,or a combination of these two fungi,and exposed to three sprayed-salt regimes(0,7,or 14 mg NaCl cm−2 d−1)in a *** spray significantly decreased photosynthetic capabilities,total dry weight,and salinity tolerance of non-mycorrhizal *** inoculation,particularly a combination of *** and ***,evidently mitigated the detrimental effects induced by salt ***,mycorrhiza-mediated protection depended on the intensity of sprayed salt and the identity of fungal ***,the enhanced resistance of mycorrhizal *** seedlings to aerial salinity was mainly owing to increased leaf thickness and photosynthetic *** findings imply that inoculation with combined fungi could be an optimal strategy for cultivating *** plants in coastal *** results gained hold the potential to offer both theoretical and practical guidance for the managers of coastal ecosystems in soil restoration and conservation.
