To improve the mechanical properties of AZ91D magnesium alloy,the submicrocrystal Al-Ti-B master alloy was prepared with copper mold inject casting method,and the influence of submicrocrystal Al-Ti-B master alloy on the microstructure and mechanical properties of AZ91D was *** show that,the distribution of Ti B_2 phase in submicrocrystal Al-Ti-B alloy is even and disperse,and the average size of Ti Al_3 phase is reduced from 10-30μm to～1μ*** properties of AZ91D refined with submicrocrystal Al-Ti-B master alloy are better than that with coarse-grained Al-Ti-B master alloy without copper mold inject *** tensile strength,elongation and Brinell hardness of AZ91D are increased by 10.6%,25%and 18.1%,***,refinement of AZ91D with submicrocrystal Al-Ti-B that is obtained by copper mold inject casting is an effective method to improve its mechanical properties.

In order to improve the mechanical properties of Mg-Li alloy with single β phase structure, Mg-12Li-3Al-xNd(x=0.3, 0.7, 1.1, 2.0wt.%) alloy was prepared. Subsequently, the as-cast microstructure and mechanical properties were observed and tested. The results showed that the structure of Mg-12Li-3Al-xNd(x=0.3, 0.7, 1.1, 2.0wt.%) as-cast alloy was composed of β phase matrix and Al_2Nd, Al_(11)Nd_3, MgLiAl_2, Al_4Li_9 and AlLi phases. With the increase of Nd content in the alloy, the Al-Nd intermetallic compounds have a trend to change from needle-like Al_(11)Nd_3 to granular Al_2Nd. The hardness of as-cast Mg-12Li-3Al-xNd(x=0.3, 0.7, 1.1, 2.0wt.%) alloy was stable at room temperature. The tensile strength of Mg-12Li-3Al-1.1Nd was as high as 180 MPa, the elongation rate of Mg-12Li-3Al-0.7Nd reached 53.7%, and the comprehensive mechanical properties of Mg-12Li-3Al-2.0Nd was the best. PLC phenomenon occurred during the tensile process of the alloys at room temperature. Therefore, the β-based Mg-Li alloy with good plasticity as well as enhanced strength can be obtained by a moderate addition of Nd and Al.

Genetic algorithm has been proposed to solve the problem of task assignment. However, it has some drawbacks, e.g., it often takes a long time to find an optimal solution, and the success rate is low. To overcome these problems, a new coarse grained parallel genetic algorithm with the scheme of central migration is presented, which exploits isolated sub populations. The new approach has been implemented in the PVM environment and has been evaluated on a workstation network for solving the task assignment problem. The results show that it not only significantly improves the result quality but also increases the speed for getting best solution.

AIM: To investigate the efficacy and safety of combined antiviral and immunosuppressant therapy in adult hepatitis B virus-associated glomerulonephritis (HBVGN) patients. METHODS: A computerized literature search was carried out in the PubMed database, Embase, the Cochrane Library, Chinese BioMedical Literature on disc, Chinese Medical Current Contents, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang and VIP (Chinese Technological Journal of Database) to collect articles between June 1980 and December 2010 on therapy with immunosuppressants, e.g., glucorticosteroids, mycophenolate mofetil and leflunomide, combined with antivirals, e.g., interferon, lamivudine, entecavir and adefovir dipivoxil, in adult HBV-GN patients. The primary outcomes were remission of proteinuria, clearanceof HBV e-antigen, and elevation of serum albumin. The secondary outcomes were blood levels of alanine aminotransferase, serum creatinine, and HBV-DNA titer. Meta-analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.1. Fixed or random effect models were employed to combine the results after a heterogeneity test. The effects of the combined therapy were analyzed for different doses of glucorticosteroid and different types of HBV-GN. RESULTS: Twelve clinical trials with 317 patients were included. A significantly higher incidence of HBV-GN was found in male patients (relative risk = 2.40, 95% CI: 1.98-2.93). Combined therapy reduced the proteinuria significantly with a mean difference of 4.19 (95% CI: 3.86-4.53) and increased the serum albumin concentration significantly with a mean difference of -11.95 (95% CI: -12.97-10.93) without significant alterations of liver function (mean difference: 4.62, 95% CI: -2.55-11.79) and renal function (mean difference: 10.29, 95% CI: 0.14-20.45). No signif icant activation of HBV-DNA replication occurred (mean difference: 0.12, 95% CI: -0.37-0.62). A convenient competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) for ciprofloxacin(CPFX) was developed by using rabbit monoclonal antibodies(RabMAbs) against a hapten-protein conjugate of CPFX-bovine serum albumin(BSA).The indirect competitive ELISA of CPFX had a concentration at 50% inhibition(IC50) of 1.47 ng/ml and a limit of detection(LOD) of 0.095 ng/*** mAb exhibited some cross-reactivity,however,not so high with enrofloxacin(28.8%),ofloxacin(13.1%),norfloxacin(11.0%),fleroxacin(22.6%),and pefloxacin(20.4%).And it showed almost no cross-reactivity with other antibiotics or sulfonamides evaluated in this *** competitive ELISA kit developed here could be used as a screening tool to detect and control illegal addition of CPFX in food *** kit had been applied to milk detection and the recovery rates from samples spiked by CPFX were in a range of 63.02%-84.60%,with coefficients of variation of less than 12.2%.

The aim of this study was to research the changes in cytotoxicity and antibacterial properties after silver nanoparticles （AgNPs） were incorporated into the surface coating of dental alloys. AgNPs were attached to cobalt chromium alloys and pure titanium using a hydrothermal method, according to the reaction： AgNO3＋NaBH4-, Ag＋1/2H2＋1/2B2H6＋NaNO3. A 3-（4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl）-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide （MTT） assay was used to evaluate the cytotoxicity of the alloys when in contact with osteogenic precursor cells （MC3T3-E1） from mice and mesenchymal stem cells （BMSC） from rats. The antibacterial properties of dental alloys incorporating three different concentrations （10, 4, and 2 μmol/L）of AgNPs were tested on Staphylococcus aureus （SA）and Streptococcus mutans （MS）. High cytotoxicity values were observed for all dental alloys that contained 0% of AgNPs （the control groups）. The incorporation of AgNPs reduced cytotoxicity values. No significant difference was observed for antibacterial performance when comparing dental alloys containing AgNPs to the respective control groups. The results demonstrated that the cobalt chromium alloys and pure titanium all had cytotoxicity to MC3T3-E1 and BMSC and that the incorpo- ration of AgNPs could reduce this cytotoxicity. The concentrations of AgNPs adopted in this study were found to have no antibacterial action against SA or MS.

Background： American ginseng（Panax quinquefolius L.） and Chinese jujube（Zizyphus jujuba Mill.） are commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine to enhance immune function. Objective： The present study aimed to develop one Chinese prescription, Shenzao Cha（SZC）, consisting of American ginseng and Chinese jujube, and systematically investigate its immunomodulation in healthy ICR mice. Methods： Normal ICR mice received intragastric administration of SZC（1.3, 2.6, and 5.2 g raw material/kg body weight） once daily for four weeks, while a control group received the same amount of sterile water. Results： SZC significantly increased the spleen and thymus indices and T-lymphocyte proliferation, while the T-lymphocyte proliferation in the 5.2 g/kg group was 1.4-fold higher than that in the control. Further, 1.3 g/kg SZC could markedly improve hemolytic activity by 25.2%, and 2.6 g/kg SZC increased the NK cell activity by 78.6% relative to the control. In addition, the activities of antioxidant enzymes（superoxide dismutase, catalase, and glutathione peroxidase）, that participated in modulating oxidative stress, were significantly increased in the liver, spleen, thymus, and serum, while the contents of malondialdehyde were dramatically decreased. Conclusions： SZC exhibited potent immunomodulatory effects on innate and adaptive immunity in healthy ICR mice, as well as potential antioxidant activity for prevention of oxidative stress, which was suggested to partly contribute to the immune enhancement.
