Inter-annual variations of dissolved oxygen and hypoxia off the northern Changjiang River(Yangtze River) Estuary in summer from 1997 to 2014

Hypoxia off the Changjiang River Estuary has been the subject of much attention,yet systematic observations have been lacking,resulting in a lack of knowledge regarding its long-term change and *** revisiting the repeated surveys of dissolved oxygen(DO) and other relevant hydrographic parameters along the section from the Changjiang River Estuary to the Jeju-do in the summer from 1997 to 2014,rather different trends were revealed for the dual low-DO *** nearshore low-DO core,located close to the river mouth and relatively stable,shows that hypoxia has become more severe with the lowest DO descen ding at a rate of -0.07 mg/(L·a) and the thickness of low-DO zone rising at a rate of 0.43 m/*** offshore core,centered around 40-m isobath but moving back and forth between 123.5°-125°E,shows large fluctuations in the minimum DO concentration,with the thickness of low-DO zone falling at a rate of -1.55 m/*** probable factors affecting the minimum DO concentration in the two regions also *** the nearshore region,the decreasing minimum DO is driven by the increase in both stratification and primary productivity,with the enhanced extension of the Changjiang River diluted Water(CDW) strengthening *** the offshore region,the fluctuating trend of the minimum DO concentration indicates that both DO loss and DO supplement are *** DO loss is primarily attributed to bottom apparent oxygen utilization caused by the organic matter decay and is also relevant to the advection of low-DO water from the nearshore *** DO supplement is primarily due to weakened *** analysis also shows that the minimum DO concentration in the nearshore region was extremely low in 1998,2003,2007 and 2010,related to El Ni?o signal in these summers.

Background ELF4 deficiency has been recently recognized as a novel disorder within the spectrum of inborn errors of immunity(IEIs),specifically categorized as a“disease of immune dysregulation.”Cases of this condition,reported by our team and others,are very limited *** such,our current knowledge of this new disease remains *** review aims to provide a brief overview of the clinical manifestations,pathogenesis,and treatment strategies for this novel *** sources A comprehensive review was conducted after an extensive literature search in the PubMed/Medline database and websites concerning transcriptional factor ELF4 and reports concerning patients with ELF4 *** search strategy was“ELF4 OR ETS-related transcription factor Elf-4 OR EL4-like factor 4 OR myeloid Elf-1-like factor”as of the time of manuscript *** The current signature manifestations of ELF4 deficiency disorder are recurrent and prolonged oral ulcer,abdominal pain,and diarrhea in pediatric *** some cases,immunodeficiency and autoimmunity can also be *** Sanger sequencing or whole exome sequencing can be used to detect variation in ELF4 *** blotting for ELF4 expression of the patient’s cells can confirm the pathogenic effect of the *** fully confirm the pathogenicity of the variant,further functional test is strongly *** and biologics are the mainstream management of ELF4 deficiency *** Pediatric males presenting with recurring ulcerations in digestive tract epithelium with or without recurrent fever should be suspected of *** atypical presentations are prominent,variations in ELF4 gene should be carefully evaluated functionally due to the complex nature of ELF4 *** of treating DEX includes use of glucocorticoid and biologics and more precise treatment needs more patients to identify and further mechanistic study.

在构建大规模量子密钥分发网络的过程中,为了提高在可信中继模式下密钥中继成功率、减少链路密钥消耗以及平衡网络负载,提出了一种基于桶重计算的量子密钥分发网络路由选择算法,并构建了基于软件定义网络SDN的网络架构模型。在网络源节点到目的节点所经过的所有路径中,根据计算Bucket权重即桶重作为路径优先级,控制器通过优先级选择最优路径;最后,对提出的路由选择方法进行仿真实验,验证了算法的合理性和可行性。

Nonprecious-metal-group single-metal-atom catalysts with bifunctional catalytic capabilities toward the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)are highly sought after in energy-conversion and storage ***,producing renewable and sustainable energy sources remains ***,single-transition metal atoms anchored onπ-πconjugated two-dimensional(2D)graphitic carbon nitride substrates formπ-d conjugated conductive channels that enhance the overall electrocatalytic ***,firstprinciples calculations were carried out to design and demonstrate a novel macropore graphitic carbon nitride(gC_(10)N_(3))as a promising 2D electrocatalyst substrate to support single-transition metal(TM,from Sc to Au).The"donation-acceptance"charge interaction in the TM-N_(2)moiety effectively balances the adsorption strength of oxygenated intermediates in Ni@g-C_(10)N_(3)and Rh@gC_(10)N_3,making them effective bifunctional OER/ORR electrocatalysts with IrO_(2)/Pt-beyond overpotentials being as low as 0.39/0.38 V and 0.54/0.44 V,***,they possess high stability and conductivity and are less susceptible to oxidation and corrosion under working *** guarantees high activity under ambient ***,the origin of the OER/ORR activity of TM@g-C_(10)N_(3) is explained using multilevel descriptors:intrinsic(p,Bader charge,integral crystal orbital Hamilton population(ICOHP),bond length,and d-band center(εd).In particular,for optimal Ni@g-C_(10)N_(3),the clear hybridization between the Ni-d orbital and surface O-p orbital causes the paired electrons to occupy the bonding *** enables OH~*to be adsorbed on the Ni@g-C_(10)N_(3),thereby achieving the highest catalytic performance.

Influence of High-Density Bedding Plane Characteristics on Hydraulic Fracture Propagation in Shale Oil Reservoir

The existence of high-density bedding planes is a typical characteristic of shale oil *** the behavior of hydraulic fracturing in high-density laminated rocks is significant for promoting shale oil *** this study,a hydraulic fracturing model considering tensile failure and frictional slip of the bedding planes is established within the framework of the unified pipe-interface element method(UP-IEM).The model developed for simulating the interaction between the hydraulic fracture and the bedding plane is validated by comparison with experimental *** hydraulic fracturing patterns in sealed and unsealed bedding planes are ***,the effects of differential stress,bedding plane permeability,spacing,and the friction coefficient of the bedding plane are *** results showed that a single main fracture crossing the bedding planes is more likely to form in sealed bedding planes under high differential *** decrease in bedding plane permeability and the increase in the friction coefficient also promote the fracture propagating perpendicular to the bedding *** with high-density bedding planes has a poorer fracturing effect than that with low-density bedding planes,as the hydraulic fracture is prone to initiate and propagate along the bedding ***,higher injection pressure is needed to maintain fracture propagation along the *** increase in bedding density will lead to a smaller fracturing *** fluid seepage into the bedding planes slows shale *** is recommended that increasing the injection flow rate,selecting alternative fracturing fluids,and employing multi-well/multi-cluster fracturing may be efficient methods to improve energy production in shale oil reservoirs.

Background: Primary non-function(PNF) and early allograft failure(EAF) after liver transplantation(LT) seriously affect patient outcomes. In clinical practice, effective prognostic tools for early identifying recipients at high risk of PNF and EAF were urgently needed. Recently, the Model for Early Allograft Function(MEAF), PNF score by King's College(King-PNF) and Balance-and-Risk-Lactate(BAR-Lac) score were developed to assess the risks of PNF and EAF. This study aimed to externally validate and compare the prognostic performance of these three scores for predicting PNF and EAF. Methods: A retrospective study included 720 patients with primary LT between January 2015 and December 2020. MEAF, King-PNF and BAR-Lac scores were compared using receiver operating characteristic(ROC) and the net reclassification improvement(NRI) and integrated discrimination improvement(Idi) analyses. Results: Of all 720 patients, 28(3.9%) developed PNF and 67(9.3%) developed EAF in 3 months. The overall early allograft dysfunction(EAD) rate was 39.0%. The 3-month patient mortality was 8.6% while 1-year graft-failure-free survival was 89.2%. The median MEAF, King-PNF and BAR-Lac scores were 5.0(3.5–6.3),-2.1(-2.6 to-1.2), and 5.0(2.0–11.0), respectively. For predicting PNF, MEAF and King-PNF scores had excellent area under curves(AUCs) of 0.872 and 0.891, superior to BAR-Lac(AUC = 0.830). The NRI and Idi analyses confirmed that King-PNF score had the best performance in predicting PNF while MEAF served as a better predictor of EAD. The EAF risk curve and 1-year graft-failure-free survival curve showed that King-PNF was superior to MEAF and BAR-Lac scores for stratifying the risk of EAF. Conclusions: MEAF, King-PNF and BAR-Lac were validated as practical and effective risk assessment tools of PNF. King-PNF score outperformed MEAF and BAR-Lac in predicting PNF and EAF within 6 months. BAR-Lac score had a huge advantage in the prediction for PNF without post-transplant variables. Proper use

Boosting oxygen vacancies by modulating the morphology of Au decorated In_(2)O_(3)with enhanced CO_(2)hydrogenation activity to CH_(3)OH

CO_(2)hydrogenation to methanol has become one of the most promising ways for CO_(2)utilization,however,the CO_(2)conversion rate and methanol selectivity of this reaction still need to be improved for industrial *** we investigated the structure-activity relationship for CO_(2)conversion to methanol of In_(2)O_(3)-based catalysts by modulating morphology and decorating *** different Au/In_(2)O_(3)catalysts were prepared,their activity follow the sequence of Au/In_(2)O_(3)-nanosphere(Au/In_(2)O_(3)-NS)>Au/In_(2)O_(3)-nanoplate(Au/In_(2)O_(3)-NP)>Au/In_(2)O_(3)-hollow microsphere(Au/In_(2)O_(3)-HM).Au/In_(2)O_(3)-NS exhibited the best performance with good CO_(2)conversion of 12.7%,high methanol selectivity of 59.8%,and large space time yield of 0.32 g CH_(3)OH/(hr·gcat)at 300℃.The high performance of Au/In_(2)O_(3)-NS was considered as the presence of *** contributes to the creation of more surface oxygen vacancies,which further promoted the CO_(2)adsorption and facilitated CO_(2)activation to form the formate intermediates towards *** work clearly suggests that the activity of In_(2)O_(3)catalyst can be effective enhanced by structure engineering and Au decorating.

Energy consumption optimization for edge computing-supported cellular networks based on optimal transport theory

With advancements in mobile communication technologies, there have been multiple user device(UD) connections to cellular networks. Because of changes in the spatial distribution of UDs and application requirements, the traditional offloading mechanism based on the nearest distance will result in heavy loads for some base stations(BSs). Because there is a high-order relationship between the energy consumption of the BS processing tasks and the number of computing tasks, the traditional offloading mechanism will result in high energy consumption, and UD’s offloading decision must be dynamically adjusted. The offloading decision of UDs is optimized based on detailed information about various parameters associated with a network from the standpoint of distribution. This information includes details regarding the spatial distribution of UDs,application requirements, and the offloading period of computing tasks. Based on optimal transport theory,an energy consumption optimization algorithm is suggested to lower the total amount of energy consumed by the offloading process of UDs’ computing tasks by reasonably planning the offloading BSs of the UDs in the networks. The simulation results show that the proposed offloading mechanism based on energy consumption optimization reduces the total energy consumption of the offloading process by 28.09% when compared to the traditional offloading mechanism, and the traffic managed by each BS is balanced.
