Recently,a novel 2-electron oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)based electro-oxidation(EO)system was developed,which utilizes a H_(2)O_(2)generation cathode instead of H_(2)evolution cathode.A Ti-based Ni-Sb co-doped SnO_(2)(Ti/NATO)anode was selected for efficient degradation of refractory organics and O_(3)*** synergistic reaction of O3/H_(2)O_(2)further accelerated the generation of hydroxyl radicals(·OH)in the ORR-EO ***,the catalytic activity and long-term effectiveness of the Ti/NATO anode limited the large-scale application of the ORR-EO *** this study,a blue TiO_(2)nanotube array(blue-TiO_(2)-NTA)inter-layer was introduced into the fabrication process between the Ti substrate and NATO catalyst *** to the Ti/NATO anode,the Ti/blue-TiO_(2)-NTA/NATO anode achieved higher efficiency of organic removal and O_(3)***,the accelerated lifetime of the Ti/blue-TiO_(2)-NTA/NATO anode was increased by 7 times compared to the Ti/NATO *** combined with CNTs-C/PTFE air cathode in ORR-EO system,all anodic oxidation and O_(3)/H_(2)O_(2)processes achieved higher•OH *** 92%of TOC in leachate bio-effluent was effectively eliminated with a relatively low energy cost of 45 kWh/t.

High speed photography technique is potentially the most effective way to measure the motion parameter of warhead fragment benefiting from its advantages of high accuracy,high resolution and high ***,it faces challenge in dense objects tracking and 3D trajectories reconstruction due to the characteristics of small size and dense distribution of fragment *** address these challenges,this work presents a warhead fragments motion trajectories tracking and spatio-temporal distribution reconstruction method based on high-speed stereo ***,background difference algorithm is utilized to extract the center and area of each fragment in the image ***,a multi-object tracking(MOT)algorithm using Kalman filtering and Hungarian optimal assignment is developed to realize real-time and robust trajectories tracking of fragment *** reconstruct 3D motion trajectories,a global stereo trajectories matching strategy is presented,which takes advantages of epipolar constraint and continuity constraint to correctly retrieve stereo correspondence followed by 3D trajectories refinement using polynomial ***,the simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can accurately track the motion trajectories and reconstruct the spatio-temporal distribution of 1.0×10^(3)fragments in a field of view(FOV)of 3.2 m×2.5 m,and the accuracy of the velocity estimation can achieve 98.6%.

The synthesis of cyclic carbonates from CO2 and epoxides offers a remarkable 100％atomic *** literature describes the CO2 cycloaddition mechanism predominantly as an"epoxide activation"pathway[1].This process can be effectively facilitated by heterogeneous catalysts possessing Lewis acidity,potentially optimising the capture and activation of the epoxide via metal-oxygen ***-organic frameworks(MOFs)have recently garnered attention as new catalysts,credited to their structural adaptability and multifunctional ***,MOFs with exposed metal sites function as Lewis acid sites,thus enhancing the cycloaddition *** numerous researchers emphasize the pivotal role of epoxide activation in the CO2 cycloaddition process,the challenge of activating inherently stable CO2 molecules often remains *** CO2 activation can potentially reduce the energy barriers of the reaction,thereby enhancing the overall *** prior studies on MOFs'catalytic activities for CO2 cycloaddition primarily emphasise their Lewis acidity sites[2,3],with scant attention to the syn-ergistic effects between the Lewis acid and base sites.

The injection of a polymer chain into a small circular cavity under tangential self-propelled force is studied by using Langevin dynamics *** indicate that the injection dynamics of the active polymer shows strong correlation with the polymer conformation inside the cavity depending on the polymer rigidity(k_(b)).The injection timeτvaries nonmonotonously with increasing k_(b),and reaches its minimum at k_(b)^(*).When k_(b) is small(k_(b)≪k_(b)^(*)),the polymer is nearly random coil in the cavity,and spends a long time at the final stage of the injection process due to the large repulsion between monomers inside the *** k_(b) is moderate(k_(b)∼k_(b)^(*)),the part of polymer inside the cavity forms spiral configuration under the tangential active force,and the whole polymer moves synchronously with a constant velocity during the injection process,leading to a small injection *** k_(b) is large(k_(b)≫k_(b)^(*)),the polymer is nearly straight at the initial stage of the injection process,and takes a long time to bend itself,leading to a large injection time.

Investigation of mechanical failure performance of a large-diameter shield tunnel segmental ring

The control criteria for structural deformation and the evaluation of operational safety performance for large-diameter shield tunnel segments are not yet clearly *** address this issue,a refined 3D finite element model was established to analyze the transverse deformation response of a large-diameter segmental *** analyzing the stress,deformation,and crack distribution of large-diameter segments under overload conditions,the transverse deformation of the segmental ring could be divided into four *** main reasons for the decrease in segmental ring stiffness were found to be the extensive development of cracks and the complete formation of four plastic *** deformation control value for the large-diameter shield tunnel segment is chosen as 8%o of the segment's outer diameter,representing the transverse deformation during the formation of the first semi-plastic hinge(i.e.,the first yield point)in the *** control value can serve as a reinforcement standard for preventing the failure of large-diameter shield tunnel *** flexural bearing capacity characteristic curve of segments was used to evaluate the structural strength of a large-diameter segmental *** was discovered that the maximum internal force combination of the segment did not exceed the segment ultimate bearing capacity curve(SUBC).However,the combination of internal force at 9°,85°,and 161°of the joints,and their symmetrical locations about the 0°-180°axis exceeded the joint ultimate bearing capacity curve(JUBC).The results indicate that the failure of the large-diameter segment lining was mainly due to insufficient joint strength,leading to an instability *** findings from this study can be used to develop more effective maintenance strategies for large-diameter shield tunnel segments to ensure their long-term performance.

As important metal sulfides in the geochemical cycle of sulfur,the characteristics and formation processes of pyrites can provide useful clues regarding their *** on previous findings,shale pyrites were divided into three major classes(euhedral pyrites,framboidal pyrites(framboids)and metasomatic pyrites)and six sub-classes in this *** the microscopic scale,each type of pyrite is associated with a different formation *** are formed by burst nucleation in environments with a homogeneous distribution of nutrients while euhedral pyrites are usually formed on pre-existing sites(such as=FeS on the minerals surface)in the heterogeneous *** pyrites formed by the replacement of other ions in accountable material by iron ions and hydrogen sulfide ions in hydrothermal *** morphology and isotope value of pyrite provide information to track the origins of their nutrient and characteristics of sulfur and iron *** addition,the trace element content of pyrite can serve as a proxy for paleo-ocean trace element abundance,indicating changes in atmospheric oxygen ***,pyrite can also serves as an indicator of shale gas reservoirs.

The elliptic azimuthal anisotropy coefficient(v_(2))of the identified particles at midrapidity(|η|<0.8)was investigated in p-Pb collisions at√s_(NN)=5.02 TeV using a multi-phase transport model(AMPT).The calculations of differential v_(2)based on the advanced flow extraction method of light flavor hadrons(pions,kaons,protons,andΛ)in small collision systems were extended to a wider transverse momentum(p_(T))range of up to 8 GeV/c for the first *** string-melting version of the AMPT model provides a good description of the measured p_(T)-differential v_(2)of the mesons but exhibits a slight deviation from the baryon v_(2).In addition,we observed the features of mass ordering at low p_(T)and the approximate number-of-constituentquark(NCQ)scaling at intermediate p_(T).Moreover,we demonstrate that hadronic rescattering does not have a significant impact on v_(2)in p-Pb collisions for different centrality selections,whereas partonic scattering dominates in generating the elliptic anisotropy of the final *** study provides further insight into the origin of collective-like behavior in small collision systems and has referential value for future measurements of azimuthal anisotropy.

Great potential of underground gas/energy storage in salt caverns seems to be a promising solution to support renewable *** the underground storage method,the operating cycle unfortunately may reach up to daily or even hourly,which generates complicated pressures on the salt ***,the mechanical behavior of rock salt may change and present distinct failure characteristics under different stress states,which affects the performance of salt cavern during the time period of full *** reproduce a similar loading condition on the cavern surrounding rock mass,the cyclic triaxial loading/unloading tests are performed on the rock salt to explore the mechanical transition behavior and failure characteristics under different *** results show that the rock salt samples pre-sent a diffused shear failure band with significant bulges at certain locations in low confining pressure conditions(e.g.5 MPa,10 MPa and 15 MPa),which is closely related to crystal misorientation and grain boundary *** the elevated confinement(e.g.20 MPa,30 MPa and 40 MPa),the dilation band dominates the failure mechanism,where the large-size halite crystals are crushed to be smaller size and new pores are *** failure transition mechanism revealed in the paper provides additional insight into the mechanical performance of salt caverns influenced by complicated stress states.

A creep model for ultra-deep salt rock considering thermal-mechanical damage under triaxial stress conditions

To investigate the specific creep behavior of ultra-deep buried salt during oil and gas exploitation,a set of triaxial creep experiments was conducted at elevated temperatures with constant axial pressure and unloading confining pressure *** results show that the salt sample deforms more significantly with the increase of applied temperature and deviatoric *** accelerated creep phase is not occurring until the applied temperature reaches 130℃,and higher temperature is beneficial to the occurrence of accelerated *** describe the specific creep behavior,a novel three-dimensional(3D)creep constitutive model is developed that incorporates the thermal and mechanical variables into mechanical ***,the standard particle swarm optimization(SPSO)method is adopted to fit the experimental data,and the sensibility of key model parameters is analyzed to further illustrate the model *** a result,the model can accurately predict the creep behavior of salt under the coupled thermo-mechanical effect in deep-buried *** on the research results,the creep mechanical behavior of wellbore shrinkage is predicted in deep drilling projects crossing salt layer,which has practical implications for deep rock mechanics problems.
