The velocities of boundary layer flows between two parallel oscillating plates separated by small distance, i.e., in so called narrow channel, were theoretically and experimentally studied. The focus was on the laminar case where the Reynolds number ReA is much smaller than the transition value. The theoretical analysis of the Stokes layer in oscillating flow over a narrow channel was made first. Then Laser Doppler Velocimeter （LDV） was employed to measure the Stokes boundary layer above an oscillating flat plate and inside the oscillating narrow channel at various ReH numbers. At the same time, the phase angle difference along the vertical direction in both analysis and experiment were provided. The good agreements are shown between the measured results and the theoretical solution.

Phonon lasers or coherent amplifications of mechanical oscillations are powerful tools for fundamental studies on coherent acoustics and hold potential for diverse applications,ranging from ultrasensitive force sensing to phononic information ***,we propose the use of an optomechanical resonator coupled to a nonlinear optical resonator for directional phonon *** find that by pumping the nonlinear optical resonator,directional optical squeezing can occur along the pump *** a result,we can achieve the directional mechanical gain using directional optical squeezing,thereby leading to nonreciprocal phonon lasing with a well-tunable directional power *** work proposes a feasible way to build nonreciprocal phonon lasers with various nonlinear optical media,which are important for a wide range of applications,such as directional acoustic amplifiers,invisible sound sensing or imaging,and one-way phononic networks.

In this work,molecular dynamics modeling was conducted to study hydrogen(H)-induced plastic deformation and cracking of polycrystalα-*** cyclic loading,the number of vacancies and the stress intensity increase with H atom concentration and the number of loading ***,the effect of cyclic loading on cracking is not as significant as the increment of H *** the H concentration increases,the dislocation generation and emission are enhanced in the{110}slip system,but are inhibited in other slip *** is a critical H atom concentration,below which the plastic deformation ofα-Fe is facilitated by H *** the critical H concentration is exceeded,the dislocation emission is inhibited by H atoms at grain boundaries,where the H atoms can pin dislocations,causing piling-up of the dislocations to generate a stress concentration.

Calcium-phosphate compounds（Ca-P） coating was prepared on an Mg-A1 alloy（AZ60）. Biodegradation of Ca-P coated magnesium alloy was evaluated in simulated body fluid（SBF） by examining the changes in magnesium ion concentration and pH value, which indicated that the Ca-P coating on magnesium alloy strongly affected the cor- rosion of magnesium alloy. Osteoblast MC3T3-E1 cells were utilized to investigate the cellular eytocompatibility. The cytocompatibility was measured by carrying out a series of tests, such as cholecystokinin-octapeptide（CCK-8） test, alkaline phosphatase activity（ALP） test, cellular morphology of hematoxylin-eosin（HE） staining and the induc- tion of apoptosis. It was found that the cell function showed better in the Ca-P coated Mg-alloy extract than in the uncoated magnesium alloy extract. In summary, the results indicate that the Ca-P coating can improve the corrosion resistance of magnesium alloy and elevate cellular proliferation and differentiation of osteoblast MC3T3-E1 cells.

Mission-critical software （MCS） must provide continuous, online services to ensure the successful accomplish- ment of critical missions. Self-adaptation is particularly desirable for assuring the quality of service （QoS） and availability of MCS under uncertainty. Few techniques have insofar addressed the issue of MCS self-adaptation, and most existing approaches to software self-adaptation fail to take into account uncertainty in the self-adaptation loop. To tackle this problem, we propose a fuzzy control based approach, i.e., Software Fuzzy Self-Adaptation （SFSA）, with a view to deal with the challenge of MCS self-adaptation under uncertainty. First, we present the SFSA conceptual framework, consisting of sensing, deciding and acting stages, and establish the formal model of SFSA to lay a rigorous and mathematical foundation of our approach. Second, we develop a novel SFSA implementation technology as well as its supporting tool, i.e., the SFSA toolkit, to automate the realization process of SFSA. Finally, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach through the development of an adaptive MCS application in process control systems. Validation experiments show that the fuzzy control based approach proposed in this work is effective and with low overheads.

Efficacy and safety of anti-PD-1/anti-PD-L1 antibody therapy in treatment of advanced gastric cancer or gastroesophageal junction cancer: A meta-analysis

BACKGROUND Faced with limited and inadequate treatment options for patients with advanced gastric cancer or gastroesophageal junction cancer(GC/GEJC), researchers have turned toward, with the support of promising clinical trials, anti-PD-1/anti-PD-L1 antibody therapy. But there are also different clinical trial results. To better assess its efficacy and safety, we integrated data from 13 eligible studies for a systematic review and *** To comprehensively evaluate the efficacy and safety of anti-PD-1/anti-PD-L1 antibody therapy in the treatment of advanced GC/GEJC *** PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library,and EMBASE databases were searched to identify eligible articles with outcomes including objective response rate(ORR), disease control rate(DCR), overall survival(OS), progression-free survival(PFS), and adverse events(AEs) of anti-PD-1/anti-PD-L1 antibody *** Our study encompassed a total of 13 trials totaling 1618 patients. The outcomes showed a pooled ORR and DCR of 15%(95% confidence interval [CI]: 14%-18%) and 40%(95%CI: 33%-46%), respectively. The pooled 6-mo OS and PFS were 54%(95%CI: 45%-64%) and 26%(95%CI: 20%-32%), respectively, and the 12-mo OS and PFS were 42%(95%CI: 21%-62%) and 11%(95%CI: 8%-13%), respectively. In addition, the incidence of any-grade AEs and grade ≥ 3 AEs was 64%(95%CI: 54%-73%) and 18%(95%CI: 16%-20%), respectively. Most importantly, PD-L1 positive patients exhibited a higher ORR rate than PD-L1 negative patients(odds ratio = 2.54, 95%CI: 1.56-4.15).CONCLUSION Anti-PD-1/anti-PD-L1 antibody therapy has shown promising anti-tumor efficacy with manageable AEs in advanced GC/GEJC patients, with PD-L1 overexpressing patients exhibiting a higher ORR. What is more, the clinical efficacy of anti-PD-1/PD-L1 combined with traditional chemotherapy drugs is even better, although the occurrence of AEs still causes considerate concerns.

Understanding the interface effect in dielectric nanocomposites is crucial to the enhancement of their *** this work,a data-driven interface design strategy based on high-throughput phase-field simulations is developed to study the interface effect and then optimize the permittivity and breakdown strength of ***,we use two microscopic features that are closely related to the macroscopic dielectric properties,the thickness and permittivity of the interface phases,to evaluate the role of interfaces in experimental configuration,and thus provide quantitative design schemes for the interfacial *** the polyvinyl difluoride(PVDF)-BaTiO_(3) nanocomposite as an example,the calculation results demonstrate that the interfacial polarization could account for up to 83.6% of the increase in the experimentally measured effective permittivity of the *** on the interface optimized strategy,a maximum enhancement of ~156% in the energy density could be achieved by introducing an interface phase with d/r=0.55 and ε_(interface)/ε_(filler)=0:036,compared to the pristine ***,the present work not only provides fundamental understanding of the interface effect in dielectric nanocomposites,but also establishes a powerful data-driven interface design framework for such materials that could also be easily generalized and applied to study interface issues in other functional nanocomposites,such as solid electrolytes and thermoelectrics.

Short-term power generation scheduling rules for cascade hydropower stations based on hybrid algorithm

Power generation dispatching is a large complex system problem with multi-dimensional and nonlinear characteristics. A mathematical model was established based on the principle of reservoir operation. A large quantity of optimal scheduling processes were obtained by calculating the daily runoff process within three typical years, and a large number of simulated daily runoff processes were obtained using the progressive optimality algorithm （POA） in combination with the genetic algorithm （GA）. After analyzing the optimal scheduling processes, the corresponding scheduling rules were determined, and the practical formulas were obtained. These rules can make full use of the rolling runoff forecast and carry out the rolling scheduling. Compared with the optimized results, the maximum relative difference of the annual power generation obtained by the scheduling rules is no more than 1%. The effectiveness and practical applicability of the scheduling rules are demonstrated by a case study. This study provides a new perspective for formulating the rules of power generation dispatching.

Mycoplamas are a group of wall-less prokaryotes widely distributed in nature, some of which are pathogenic for humans and animals. There are many lipoproteins anchored on the outer face of the plasma membrane, called lipid-associated membrane proteins (LAMPs). LAMPs are highly antigenic and could undergo phase and size variation, and are recognized by the innate immune system through Toll-like receptors (TLR) 2 and 6. LAMPs can modulate the immune system, and could induce immune cells apoptosis or death. In addition, they may associate with malignant transformation of host cells and are also con-sidered to be cofactors in the progression of AIDS.
