Dear Editor, Liver transplantation(LT) is the only curative therapy for patients with endstage liver disease(He et al., 2023; Ling et al., 2022). Post-transplant hypertriglyceridemia(PTHT), which has an incidence of up to 32.8% in 6 months after LT, is one of the major post-transplant complications(Toshima et al., 2020).

Early detection and treatment of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) can be significantly enhanced through the use of flexible wearable electrocardiogram (ECG) sensors, potentially reducing CVD-related mortality. This paper introduces an ECG-on-Chip (EoC) solution tailored for flexible ECG sensors, incorporating novel features to address common challenges in wearable ECG technology. The EoC integrates a chopper-stabilized capacitively-coupled instrumentation amplifier (CS-CCIA),ensuring a high common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) and low noise performance. Performance is further boosted via a positive feedback loop (PFL) and a programmable gain amplifier (PGA) with shared on-chip calibration logic, which enhances input impedance and minimizes gain variability to ensure consistent algorithm performance. Additionally, a secondary chopping technique is employed to further reduce noise, achieving an input-referred noise level of 454 nVrms. The embedded algorithm within the EoC is designed to extract clinically meaningful features, facilitating robust real-time arrhythmia analysis. Fabricated using a 0.18μm CMOS process, the EoC consumes 14.9μW with a supply voltage of 1.2 V. The algorithm’s efficacy has been validated over 0.4 million heartbeats, demonstrating a sensitivity of over 99.7%for R-peak detection and 98.3%for arrhythmia analysis. To demonstrate practical application, the EoC has been integrated with a commercial Bluetooth low energy (BLE)transceiver, forming a wireless arrhythmia monitoring sensor equipped with dry electrodes. This system consumes 292.04μW in arrhythmia-aware transmission mode, supporting 13 days of operation with a 30 mAh thin-film battery.

The thermal mechanical simulator system (Gleeble-3500) was used to carry out the double passes compression tests. The microstructure evolution of medium carbon steel with different time intervals during warm deformation was investigated by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and electron back-scattered diffraction. The results show that the effects of time interval on microstructure evolution are very important. The low-angle boundaries transform into high-angle boundaries (HABs) during interval. The fraction of HABs and homogeneity of particle carbides increase with increasing time interval. In addition, the homogeneity of carbides also increases with the strain. However, the effects of time interval on the microstructure evolution are negligible when it exceeds 100 s.

This work developed an unprecedented strategy for the acetylation of alcohols and amines using diacetyl as both an acylation reagent and a *** environmentally friendly process exhibits excellent functional group tolerance,a wide substrate scope,operational simplicity and no need for the use of exogenous dehydrating reagents,activating reagents or *** potential application of this strategy to pharmaceutical chemistry was demonstrated by the late-stage modification of various drug molecules,and the process was found to be readily scalable without any loss of *** mechanistic results showed that the in situ generation of peracetic acid is responsible for the facile acylation of structurally diverse alcohols and amines using this technique.

Factors Influencing Subjective Orthodontic Treatment Need and Culture-related Differences among Chinese Natives and Foreign Inhabitants

Aim The aim of this survey was to compare Chinese natives and foreign inhabitants in Chengdu, China, with respect to：（1） attitudes towards dental appearance, （2） subjective orthodontic treatment need, and （3） the main factors influencing orthodontic treatment need. Methodology A total of 522 subjects, including 227 foreign inhabitants and 295 Chinese natives in Chengdu participated in the survey. A simple random sampling method was adopted and a face-to-face interview was conducted at some public sites using a questionnaire. Data was entered by two persons synchronously using Epidata 3.0, and SPSS 13.0 was used to analyze these data. Results 89.0% of foreign inhabitants were satisfied with their teeth compared to only 46.8% of Chinese natives. Females were more dissatisfied with their teeth than males. Chinese natives put improving appearance as the top priority （55.9%） for seeking orthodontic treatment; however, in foreign inhabitants, the main reason for seeking treatment was to improve masticatory function（44.1%）, followed by ＂to be pretty＂（35.2%）. The importance of well-aligned teeth and self-perception of psychosocial impact of malocclusion were the same two main factors influencing subjective orthodontic treatment need （P〈0.05） in foreign inhabitants and Chinese natives. Sub- jective orthodontic treatment need between the two target groups was significantly different （P〈0.05）. Conclusion （1） It was very common that Chinese natives were dissatisfied with their dental appearance, and their subjective orthodontic treatment needs were high. （2） There were some differences in orthodontic treatment motives between the two target groups. （3） There were differences in subjective orthodontic treatment needs between foreign inhabitants and Chinese natives. However, the prominent influential factors were almost the same. There may be benefit to understanding subjective orthodontic needs of different races.

Gold nanoparticle arrays fabricated via layerby-layer technique were investigated using grazing-incidence small-angle X-ray scattering(GISAXS) *** containing two gold nanoparticle layers that were separated by 5,11,15 and 21 poly electrolyte(PE) interlayers were *** using different X-ray incident angles,correlations of gold nanoparticles(GNPs) in the same layer and in two different layers were *** is found that both sideway correlations between GNPs in the same layer and vertical correlation between two gold nanoparticle layers depend on the thickness of PE *** to sideway correlation,the size of GNPs is determined to be(13.0±0.5) nm in all of the four samples,which was also proved by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and theoretical calculation of form factor of spherical *** vertical correlation,distance between two gold nanoparticle layers was determined for sample with 11,15 and 21 PE *** distances can be reasonably explained with the number of PE layers and the thickness of single PE *** results indicate that by repeated depositing of oppositely charged PE layers,a true three-dimensional(3 D) nanostructure can eventually be designed.

Evidence for a Strong Correlation of Solar Proton Events with Solar Radio Bursts

A statistical analysis is made on the correlation between solar proton events with energies >10Mev and solar radio bursts during the four-year period from 1997 November to 2000 November. We examine 28 solar proton events and their corresponding solar radio bursts at 15400, 8800, 4995, 2695, 1415, 606, 410 and 245 MHz. The statistical result shows that there is a close association between solar proton events and ≥3 solar radio bursts occurring at several frequencies, one or two days before. In particular, it is noteworthy that proton events occurring in pairs within the same month are preceded 1-2 days by individual radio bursts and most of the radio bursts of solar flares occur at all eight frequencies. Those 245 MHz radio bursts associated with proton events have intense peak fluxes (up to 67000 sfu). Solar proton events are preceded 1 or 2 days by≥ 3 radio bursts at several frequencies and proton events occurring in pairs within the same month are preceded 1 or 2 days by some individual radio bursts. These correlations may be used for providing short-term or medium-term prediction of solar proton events.

The boost type power supplies are widely used in portable consumer electronics to step up the input voltage to adapt for the high voltage applications like light-emitting diode(LED) driving and liquid crystal display(LCD) *** these applications,a regulator with small volume,fewer external components and high efficiency is highly *** paper proposes a projected off-and on-time boost control scheme,based on which a monolithic IC with an on-chip VDMOS with 0.2 Ω on-state resistance RDS-ON was implemented in 1.5 μm bipolar-CMOS-DMOS(BCD) process.A 12 V,0.3 A boost regulator prototype is presented as *** projected off-time and modulated on-time in continuous conduction mode(CCM),a quasi fixed frequency,which is preferred for ripple control,is *** projected on-time and modulated off-time in discontinuous conduction mode(DCM),pulse frequency modulation(PFM) operation,which is beneficial to light load efficiency improvement,is achieved without extra control *** results show that an efficiency of 3% higher than that of a conventional method under 0.5 W output is achieved while a step load transient response comparable to that of current mode control is maintained as well.

N, N??, N??-Tris-(2-oxynaphthalidene)-tris-(2-iminoethyl) amine (TOTIA) has been synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography, and its crystal is of monoclinic, space group P21/c with a = 6.0158(5), b = 16.3851(2), c = 31.6650(3) ?, β = 90.867(2)o, V = 3120.8(5) ?3, C39H36N4O3, Mr = 608.72, Dc = 1.296 g/cm3, Z = 4, F(000) = 1288, μ(MoKα) = 0.083 cm-1, R = 0.0641 and wR = 0.1615. The total reflections were 12598 and 5410 were independent, of which 3342 were observed with I > 2σ(I). There exist strong intramolecular hydrogen bonds between hy- droxy hydrogen atoms and azomethine nitrogen atoms, and obvious π-π stacking interaction between the phenyl rings of TOTIA.
