The as-extruded Mg-3Nd-0.2Zn-0.4Zr-xAg(x=0,0.2,0.5,1 wt%)alloys were prepared for biomedical *** electron microscope,electron backscattered diffraction,X-ray diffraction,tensile test machine,electrochemical workstation,and immersion experiments were used to study microstructures,mechanical properties,and corrosion behavior of the as-extruded *** results indicate that the microstructures of all the as-extruded alloys are composed of coarse undynamic recrystallized grains,fine equiaxed recrystallized grains,and precipitated *** element plays a positive role in promoting dynamic recrystallization and grain *** during the extrusion,all the four alloys generate a //ED fiber *** the increase of Ag element,the volume fraction of Mg_(12)Nd phase increases and then decreases *** increasing Ag addition,both yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the as-extruded alloys reduce first and then improve,and the elongation improves gradually from 9.4 to 12.7%.More importantly,the addition of Ag accelerates corrosion of the as-extruded alloys in simulated body fluid,and all the as-extruded alloys show uniform corrosion mode.

The as-cast multi-element Mg–4Gd–1Y–1Zn–0.5Ca–1Zr alloy with low rare earth additions was prepared, and the solution treatment was applied at different temperatures. The microstructural evolution of the alloy was characterized by optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy, and corrosion properties of the alloy in 3.5% NaCl solution were evaluated by immersion and electrochemical tests. The results indicate that the as-cast alloy is composed of the a-Mg matrix,lamellar long-period stacking-ordered（LPSO） structure and eutectic phase. The LPSO structure exists with more volume fraction in the alloy solution-treated at 440 °C, but disappears with the increase in the solution temperature. For all the solution-treated alloys, the precipitated phases are detected. The corrosion rates of the alloys decrease first and then increase slightly with the increase in the solution temperature, and the corrosion resistance of the solution-treated alloys is more than four times as good as that of the as-cast alloy. In addition, the alloy solution-treated at 480 °C for 6 h shows the best corrosion property.

Background Limited data are available in relation to the clinical features of PIbo undergoing prolonged nebulization treat-ment with budesonide, terbutaline and ipratropium bromide. This retrospective study aimed to outline the features of clini-cal, high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) and pulmonary function test (PFT) of PIbo, undergoing maintenance therapy utilizing a triple nebulization treatment and to determine the factors associated with prognosis. Methods Children diagnosed with PIbo were followed up between April 2014 and March 2017. The clinical features after maintenance nebulization treatment for 12 months were thereafter summarized. Results Thirty patients, 21 boys and 9 girls, were enrolled in the study. The median age of patients was 17.4 months, with a range between 3.0 and 33 months. Persistent coughing and wheezing were detected whilst wheezing and crackles were the common manifestations presented. HRCT scans revealed patchy ground and glass opacity, while PFT showed fixed airway obstruction in all patients. Four patients were lost during follow-up. After treatment, the clinical symptoms were improved greatly in all patients (Pbo, due to its efficacy as indicated in the improved clinical symptoms, pulmonary functions and CT manifesta-tions identified in the children. New prospective and controlled studies are required to confirm this proposition.

Using the particle-in-cell simulations,we report an efficient scheme to generate a slow wave structure in the electron density of a plasma waveguide,based on the array laser-plasma *** spatial distribution of the electron density of the plasma waveguide is modulated via effective control of the super-Gaussian index and array pattern code of the lasers.A complete overview of the holding time,and the bearable laser’s intensity of the electron density structure of the plasma waveguide,is *** addition,the holding time of the slow wave structure of the plasma waveguide is also controlled by adjusting the frequency of the array laser ***,effects due to ion motion are discussed in detail.

AIM： To investigate the association between ocular demodex folliculorum infestation and ocular surface manifestations in meibomian gland dysfunction（MGD）.METHODS： Eight-six patients with MGD were enrolled. All enrolled subjects were tested in the following sequence： ocular surface disease index（OSDI）, slit-lamp biomicroscope examination, corneal surface regularity index（SRI） and surface asymmetry index（SAI）, tear fluid collection, fluorescein tear film break-up time（F-BUT）, corneal fluorescein staining（CFS）, Schirmer I test（SIT） and demodex folliculorum counting. Tear matrix metalloproteinase（MMP）-9 activity was assessed using MMP-9 activity assay ***： Among 86 MGD patients, 40 were positive for demodex. The ocular demodex-positive group showed significantly increased scores of OSDI（25.96±13.74 vs 18.07±11.55, P=0.01）, lid margin abnormality（2.38±0.87 vs 1.98±0.91, P=0.04） and CFS（1.28±2.00 vs 0.94±1.36, P=0.01） compared to the ocular demodex-free group. The tear MMP-9 activity was higher in the ocular demodex-positive group（102.9±32.4 ng/mL） than the ocular demodex-free group（46.2±19.2 ng/mL, P=0.03）. There was no significant difference in meibum quality and expressibility, SRI, SAI, F-BUT and SIT between the two groups（P〉0.05 for each）. No significant correlation was noted between the number of demodex and ocular surface parameters in demodexpositive MGD group（P〉0.05 for each）.CONCLUSION： Ocular demodex folliculorum infestation may be associated with ocular discomfort and ocular surface damage in MGD.

The electrochemical and stress corrosion cracking behavior of 9Cr ferritic-martensitic steel is investigated in the chloride environment by using the traditional electrochemical method, the scanning vibrating electrode technique and the slow strain rate test (SSRT). Results of the static corrosion tests and corrosion morphology show that the prior austenite grain boundaries and martensite lath boundaries are the preferred sites for pit nucleation and growth in chloride environment. Results of SSRT coupled with insitu electrochemical test show that the transition from pitting corrosion to uniform corrosion, as well as the nucleation of stress corrosion crack, is the synergistic effects of the chloride and applied load. Stress corrosion cracking of the steel in the chloride environment can be divided into three different regions as follows: fast and uniform corrosion activ-ity, microcrack nucleation and propagation, and active crack growth regions.

This study aimed to assess the association between psychological disorders and erectile dysfunction(ED)in patients with different degrees of chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome(CP/CPPS).This was a retrospective study conducted from June 2017 to October 2019 and included 182 *** were interviewed using the Structured Interview on Erectile Dysfunction(SIEDY)for pathogenic *** National Institutes of Health-Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index(NIH-CPSI)and the International Index of Erectile Function-5(IIEF-5)were used for the evaluation of CP/CPPS and *** Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7(GAD-7)and Patient Health Questionnaire-9(PHQ-9)were used to assess anxiety symptoms and depressive *** number of patients with mild CP/CPPS and mild ED,mild CP/CPPS and moderate-to-severe ED,moderate-to-severe CP/CPPS and mild ED,and moderate-to-severe CP/CPPS and moderate-to-severe ED was 69(37.9%),36(19.8%),35(19.2%),and 42(23.1%),*** corresponding PHQ-9 scores of the four groups were 6.22,7.19,10.69,and 7.71,*** corresponding GAD-7 scores of the four groups were 5.26,6.31,8.77,and 6.36,*** patients with moderate-to-severe CP/CPPS,the PHQ-9 and GAD-7 scores of the moderate-to-severe ED group were significantly lower than those of the mild ED group(P=0.007 and P=0.010,respectively).The prevalence of ED and premature ejaculation(PE)in patients with moderate-to-severe CP/CPPS was significantly higher than that in patients with mild CP/CPPS(P=0.001 and P=0.024,respectively).Our findings proved that the severity of ED was negatively associated with psychological symptoms in outpatients with moderate-to-severe CP/CPPS.

The N-cyclopropyl-9-（3,4-dicholophenyl）- 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10-decahydroacri- dine-1,8-dione was synthesized by the reaction of 1,3-cyclohexanedione, N-cyclopropylamine and 3,4-dicholoaldehyde in water and glycol under microwave irradiation. Its crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. It possesses P212121 space group, with a = 9.9103（5）, b = 13.3597（8）, c = 14.5633（8）A, V= 1928.16（18）A3 ,Mr = 402.30, Z = 4, Dc= 1.386 g/cm^3, 2 = 0.7107A,μ（MoKα）=0.354mm^-1 and F （000） = 840. The structure was refined to R = 0.0280 and wR = 0.0757. In the structure, the pyridine ring adopts a boat conformation.

AIM: To compare the short-term visual outcomes, residual refractive cylinder, and rotation stability after Tecnis toric intraocular lens(IOL) implantation during femtosecond laserassisted cataract surgery(Femto phaco) and conventional phacoemulsification surgery(Conventional phaco).METHODS: In a prospective cohort study, Conventional phaco and Femto phaco(anterior capsulotomy and lens fragmentation by a femtosecond laser) with Tecnis toric IOL implantation were performed in 40 eyes from 36 patients and 37 eyes from 33 patients, respectively. The uncorrected distance visual acuity(UDVA), corrected distance visual acuity(CDVA), and manifest refraction were assessed during 1 d, 1 wk, and 1 mo follow-ups. The orientation of the Tecnis Toric IOL was evaluated during 1 wk and 1 mo ***: There were no significant differences in UDCA or CDVA between two groups at 1 mo postoperatively, though relatively more subjects had UDVA values of 20/25 or better in Femto phaco group than in the Conventional group(P>0.05). A lower but not significantly lower rate of having more than 5° of IOL rotation was observed in Femto phaco group at the 1-month follow-up, while a significant lower rate of residual astigmatism of ≤1 D was observed in Femto phaco ***: The Femto phaco group has significantly more subjects with the residual astigmatism of ≤1 D, but there are no significant differences in rotation stability and visual outcomes as compared with the Conventional phaco group after the application of the Tecnis toric IOL in this cohort.

Using the Phosphomannose Isomerase (PMI) Gene from Saccharomyces cerevisiae for Selection in Rice Transformation

The phosphomannose isomerase （PMI） gene from Saccharomyces cerevisiae acted as selectable marker and mannose acted as selective agent for the production of transgenic plants of rice （Oryza sativa L.） via Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. The concentration of mannose during the selection was stepwise increased, 5 g L-1 mannose combined with 15 g L-1 sucrose and 500 mg L-1 cefotaxime was used in the initial selection stage, then the concentration of mannose was increased to 11 g L-1, the highest transformation rate was 20.0%. The integration of PMI gene was confirmed by PCR, and the result of RT-PCR assay proved that the intron of PMI gene can be excised correctly during RNA splicing. 13- Glucuronidase （GUS） activity analysis confirmed the expression of GUS gene. All those means the PMI gene from yeast can be used as a selectable marker in rice transformation.
