Objective： To predict preoperative staging using a radiomics approach based on computed tomography （CT）images of patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma （ESCC）.Methods： This retrospective study included 154 patients （primary cohort： n： t 14; validation cohort： n：40） withpathologically confirmed ESCC. All patients underwent a preoperative CT scan from the neck to abdomen. Highthroughput and quantitative radiomics features were extracted from the CT images for each patient. A radiomicssignature was constructed using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator （Lasso）. Associations betweenradiomics signature, tumor volume and ESCC staging were explored. Diagnostic performance of radiomicsapproach and tumor volume for discriminating between stages Ⅰ-Ⅱand Ⅲ-Ⅳ was evaluated and compared usingthe receiver operating characteristics （ROC） curves and net reclassification improvement （NRI）.Results= A total of 9,790 radiomics features were extracted. Ten features were selected to build a radiomicssignature after feature dimension reduction. The radiomics signature was significantly associated with ESCCstaging （P〈0.001）, and yielded a better performance for discrimination of early and advanced stage ESCC comparedto tumor volume in both the primary [area under the receiver operating characteristic curve （AUC）： 0.795 vs. 0.694,P=0.003; NRI=0.424）] and validation cohorts （AUC： 0.762 vs. 0.624, P=0.035; NRI=0.834）.Conclusions： The quantitative approach has the potential to identify stage Ⅰ-Ⅱand Ⅲ-Ⅳ ESCC beforetreatment.

目的评价分时段口服稀释碘剂后全腹部平扫及增强多层螺旋CT在诊断急性胰腺炎(AP)继发胃肠瘘(GIF)中的应用。资料与方法回顾性选取2017年1月—2022年12月湖南省人民医院连续收集的数据库中108例AP后期患者,记录其人口学信息和临床特征,行分时段口服稀释碘剂后全腹部平扫及增强多层螺旋CT筛查GIF,以此后5 d内的临床综合诊断结果作为参考标准,计算分时段口服稀释碘剂后全腹部平扫及增强多层螺旋CT诊断AP继发GIF的敏感度、特异度、阳性预测值、阴性预测值和准确度,评价两种方法诊断结果的一致性。结果分时段口服稀释碘剂后全腹部平扫及增强多层螺旋CT诊断AP继发GIF的敏感度为91.5%(95%CI 78.7%~97.2%),特异度为98.4%(95%CI 90.0%~99.9%),阳性预测值为97.7%(95%CI86.5%~99.9%),阴性预测值为93.8%(95%CI 84.0%~98.0%),准确度为95.4%(95%CI 91.4%~99.3%);两种方法的诊断结果一致性非常好,Kappa值为0.905;Mc Nemar’s检验P=0.375,提示两种方法诊断GIF及其亚组的结果差异均无统计学意义。结论分时段口服稀释碘剂后全腹部平扫及增强多层螺旋CT可简单、无创、快速、准确诊断AP继发GIF,为临床诊疗提供更早、更精确和更可靠的影像依据。

Case presentation A 42-year-old female presented with frequent urination,thirst and pain on the left flank of 20 days"duration.The vital signs on admission were as follows:body temperature,36.5℃;pulse,91/min;blood pressure,139/88mmHg.She had tenderness on the left flank.Biochemical investigations revealed an elevated neutrophil percentage(80.3%,normal range 0~75.0),CRP(222mg/L,normal range 0~4),PCT(0.87ng/mL,normal range<0.05),and serum creatinine(93μmol/L,normal range 41~73).Autoimmune diabetic antibodies(GADA,IA2A and ZnT8A)were negative,A1C was 13.2%(normal range 4.0~6.0),blood glucose was 15.07 mmol/L(normal range 3.90~6.10),and blood ketone was 1.36 mmol/L(normal range 0~0.30),indicating an acute inflammatory storm.The non-enhanced abdominal CT(CT)scan showed a large kidney calculus in the upper part of the left ureter and gas accumulation in the left renal perinephric tissue,confirming the diagnosis(Figure 1).

Nanostructured silicon anodes have shown extraordinary lithium storage properties for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)but are usually achieved at low areal loadings(taneously achieving ultrahigh areal/gravimetric capacities at high mass loading.The periodically arranged vertical channels and hierarchically porous filaments facilitate sufficient electrolyte infiltration and rapid ion diffusion,and the carbonaceous network provides excellent electron transport properties and mechanical integrity,thus endowing the printed 3D-Si/G/C electrode with fast electrochemical reaction kinetics and reversibility at high mass loading.Consequently,the 3D-Si/G/C with high areal mass loading of 12.9 mg·cm^(-2) exhibits excellent areal capacity of 12.8 mAh·cm^(-2) and specific capacity of 1007 mAh·g^(-1),respectively.In-situ optical microscope and ex-situ scanning electron microscope(SEM)confirm that the hierarchically porous filaments with interconnected carbon skeletons effectively suppress the volume change of silicon and maintain stable micro-lattice architecture.A 3D printed 3D-Si/G/C-1||3D-LiFePO_(4)/G full cell holds excellent cyclic stability(capacity retention rate of 78%after 50 cycles)with an initial Coulombic efficiency(ICE)of 96%.This work validates the feasibility of 3D printing on constructing high mass loading silicon anode for practical high energy-density LIBs.

Influence of ambient temperature on the CO_(2)emitted of light-duty vehicle

Because of global warming,people have paid more attention to greenhouse gas emitted by vehicles.To quantify the impact of temperature on vehicle CO_(2)emissions,this study was conducted using the world light vehicle test cycle on two light-duty E10 gasoline vehicles a ambient temperatures of-10,0,23,and 40℃,and found that CO_(2)emission factors of Vehicle1 in the low-speed phase were 22.07%and 20.22%higher than those of Vehicle 2 at cold star and hot start under-10℃.The reason was vehicle 1 had a larger displacement and more friction pairs than vehicle 2.There was the highest CO_(2)emission at the low-speed phase due to low average speed,frequent acceleration,and deceleration.The CO_(2)temperature factor and the ambient temperature had a strong linear correlation(R2=0.99).According to CO_(2)temperature factors and their relationships,CO_(2)emission factors of other ambien temperatures could be calculated when the CO_(2)emission factor of 23℃was obtained,and the method also could be used to obtain the CO_(2)temperature factors of different vehicles.To separate the effect of load setting and temperature variation on CO_(2)emission quantitatively a method was proposed.And results showed that the load setting was dominant for the CO_(2)emission variation.Compared with 23℃,the CO_(2)emission for vehicle 1 caused by load setting variation were 62.83 and 47.42 g/km,respectively at-10 and 0℃,while those fo vehicle 2 were 45.01 and 35.63 g/km,respectively.

There are more challenges for alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)via simultaneously expediting the electron-coupled water dissociation process(Volmer step)and the following electrochemical H_(2) desorption(Heyrovsky step).Hybrid amorphous electrocatalysts are highly desirable for efficient hydrogen evolution from water-alkali electrolyzers due to the bifunctionality for the different elementary steps of HER and optimal interactions with water molecules and the reactive hydrogen intermediates(Had).Herein,the synthesis of amorphous hybrid ultrathin(tungsten oxide/nickel hydroxide)hydrate(a-[WO_(3)/Ni(OH)_(2)]·0.2H_(2)O)nanosheets on nickel foam(NF)for efficient alkaline HER is described.The structural and composition features of a-[WO_(3)/Ni(OH)_(2)]·0.2H_(2)O are characterized in detailed.The resulting a-[WO_(3)/Ni(OH)_(2)]·0.2H_(2)O/NF electrocatalyst with the synergistic effect of both hybrid components for the HER elementary steps shows greatly improved the activity and durability for the HER with a low overpotential of-41 and-163 mV at-10 and-500 mA·cm^(-2),respectively,a Tafel slope as low as-72.9 mV·dec^(-1),and long-term stability of continuous electrolysis for at least 150 h accompanying by inappreciable overpotential change in 1 M KOH.In the hybrid a-[WO_(3)/Ni(OH)_(2)]·0.2H_(2)O,Ni(OH)_(2) and WO_(3) moieties are separately responsible for accelerating dissociative adsorption of water and weakening Had adsorption strength,which is beneficial to the improvement of the alkaline HER activity.

This paper focuses on optimizing an unknown cost function through extremum seeking(ES)control in the presence of a slow nonlinear dynamic sensor responsible for measuring the cost.In contrast to traditional perturbation-based ES control,which often suffers from sluggish convergence,the proposed method eliminates the time-scale separation between sensor dynamics and ES control by using the relative degree of the nonlinear sensor system.To improve the convergence rate,the authors incorporate high-frequency dither signals and a differentiator.To enhance the robustness with the existence of rapid disturbances,an off-the-shelf linear high-gain differentiator is applied.The first result demonstrates that,for any desired convergence rate,with properly tuned parameters for the proposed ES algorithm,the input of the cost function can converge to an arbitrarily small neighborhood of the optimal solution,starting from any initial condition within any given compact set.Furthermore,the second result shows the robustness of the proposed ES control in the presence of sufficiently fast,zero-mean periodic disturbances.Simulation results substantiate these theoretical findings.

This paper considers the problem of approximating the infinite-horizon value function of the discrete-time switched LQR problem.In particular,the authors propose a new value iteration method to generate a sequence of monotonically decreasing functions that converges exponentially to the value function.This method facilitates us to use coarse approximations resulting from faster but less accurate algorithms for further value iteration,and thus,the proposed approach is capable of achieving a better approximation for a given computation time compared with the existing methods.Three numerical examples are presented in this paper to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

A smooth curve on a homogeneous manifold G/H is called a Riemannian equigeodesic if it is a homogeneous geodesic for any G-invariant Riemannian metric.The homogeneous manifold G/H is called Riemannian equigeodesic,if for any x∈G/H and any nonzero y∈Tx(G/H),there exists a Riemannian equigeodesic c(t) with c(0)=x and ■(0)=y.These two notions can be naturally transferred to the Finsler setting,which provides the definitions for Finsler equigeodesics and Finsler equigeodesic spaces.We prove two classification theorems for Riemannian equigeodesic spaces and Finsler equigeodesic spaces,respectively.Firstly,a homogeneous manifold G/H with a connected simply connected quasi compact G and a connected H is Riemannian equigeodesic if and only if it can be decomposed as a product of Euclidean factors and compact strongly isotropy irreducible factors.Secondly,a homogeneous manifold G/H with a compact semisimple G is Finsler equigeodesic if and only if it can be locally decomposed as a product,in which each factor is Spin(7)/G2,G2/SU (3) or a symmetric space of compact type.These results imply that the symmetric space and the strongly isotropy irreducible space of compact type can be interpreted by equigeodesic properties.As an application,we classify the homogeneous manifold G/H with a compact semisimple G such that all the G-invariant Finsler metrics on G/H are Berwald.It suggests a new project in homogeneous Finsler geometry,i.e.,to systematically study the homogeneous manifold G/H on which all the G-invariant Finsler metrics satisfy a certain geometric property.
