Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)as a class of porous functional materials have attracted more and more attention for biomedical applications.To date,MOFs have been developed for bioimaging based on a series of advantages such as the large surface areas,high porosity,fluorescence functionalities and good biocompatibility.It is worth noting that organic or inorganic fluorescent materials such as fluorescent dyes,quantum dots,metal nanoclusters and nanosheets can combine MOFs or be encapsulated in MOFs to form fluorescent nanocomposites for excellent imaging function.Importantly,excellent imaging capabilities are of great significance in living cells and in vivo for detection,diagnosis and cancer therapy.In this review,we focus on the recent research of the bioimaging in living cells and in vivo based on various MOF-based nanocomposites and their potential biological clinical applications.

Zero-trust security is a novel concept to cope with intricate access,which can not be handled by the conventional perimeter-based architecture anymore.The device-to-device continuous authentication protocol is one of the most crucial cornerstones,especially in the IoT scenario.In the zero-trust architecture,trust does not rely on any position,person or device.However,to the best of our knowledge,almost all existing device-to-device continuous authentication relies on a trust authority or a node to generate secret keys or secret values.This is betrayed by the principle of zero-trust architecture.In this paper,we employ the blockchain to eliminate the trusted node.One node is chosen to produce the public parameter and secret keys for two entities through the practical Byzantine fault tolerance consensus mechanism.Additionally,the devices are categorized into three folds:trusted device,suspected device and untrusted device.Only the first two can participate in authentication,and they have different lengths of security parameters and intervals to reach a better balance between security and efficiency.Then we prove the security of the initial authentication part in the eCK model and give an informal analysis of the continuous authentication part.Finally,we implement the proposed protocol on simulated devices.The result illustrates that our scheme is highly efficient,and the continuous authentication only costs around 0.1ms.

Located between terrestrial and marine ecosystems,mangrove forests are sensitive to changes in climate.The responses of mangrove ecosystems to climate change in the future can be understood by reconstructing past mangrove dynamics using proxies preserved in the intertidal sediments.Considering the complexity of the proxies commonly used,it is necessary to develop a relatively simple,inexpensive proxy.In this study,available chemical tracers(δ13Corg and C:N)of the four cores(YLW02,YLW03,O18,and Q37)from the intertidal zone of the northern Beibu Gulf(NBG)and a three-end-member(mangrove,sea grass,and suspended particulate matter)model was utilized to determine the contribution of mangrove-derived organic matter(CMOM)in carbonate-free sediments.Compared with the summed concentration of mangrove pollen(SCMP),a significant positive correlation between CMOM and SCMP is displayed.The calculated CMOM for an additional 210Pb-dated sediment core from the Yingluo Bay,NBG(YLW01)clearly indicates a mangrove development going through degradation,flourishing,relative degradation,and relative flourishing,which are separately in correspondence with the lowest,highest,lower,and higher air temperature and rainfall in the time intervals of 1890–1918 AD,1919–1956 AD,1957–1990 AD,and 1991–2010 AD.This suggests that CMOM preserved in intertidal sediments has a potential to reconstruct historical mangrove development in high resolution,at the very least,along the coasts of the NBG.

ZrMOF@CdTe nanoparticles(NPs)with high fluorescence were synthe-sized by hydrothermal method.The morphology,particle size distribution,compositions,fluorescence properties and stability of the synthesized ZrMOF@CdTe were analyzed via the characterization by TEM,ICP-AES and fluorescence spectrophotometry,and the effects of the reaction time and pH value on the fluorescent property of ZrMOF@CdTe NPs were discussed.The results show that ZrMOFs could maintain its morphology and structure well during the process of loading CdTe quantum dots.With the increase of the loading reaction time,the red-shifted emission peaks of ZrMOF@CdTe NPs appear,and their fluorescence gradually changes from green to red color.With the increase of the pH value and temperature of the hydrothermal reaction,the fluorescence of ZrMOF@CdTe NPs was also consistent with the red-shifted change.The fluorescent property of ZrMOF@CdTe NPs could be remained for more than 3 months.Therefore,ZrMOF@CdTe NPs synthesized by the hydrothermal method have the characteristics of simple operation,adjustable fluorescent color and high stability,and the potential application in the fields of biological detection and sensing is expected.

With the rapid development of nanotechnology,nano-drug carrier systems in biomedicine have received extensive attention from researchers.By adsorbing or coating the drug in/on a nano-sized carrier,this system improves the drug’s stability and selectivity in the body,reducing the toxicity and side effects of the drug.Thus these carrier systems have broad application prospects in the field of biomedicine.A common nano-drug carrier system includes inorganic nano-carriers,organic nano-carriers,and metal nano-carriers.Inorganic nano-carriers have the advantages of good stability,controllable size,larger specific surface area,and unique photothermal electromagnetic properties.

Mangroves can not only provide multiple ecosystem service functions,but are also efficient carbon producers,capturers,and sinks.The estimation of the organic carbon accumulation rate(OCAR)in mangrove sediments is fundamental for elucidating the role of mangroves in the global carbon budget.In particular,understanding the past changes in the OCAR in mangrove sediments is vital for predicting the future role of mangroves in the rapidly changing environment.In this study,three dated sediment cores from interior and fringe of mangroves in the Yingluo Bay,China,were used to reconstruct the spatiotemporal variations of the calculated OCAR since 1900 in this area.The increasing OCAR in the mangrove interior was attributed to mangrove flourishment induced by climate change characterized by the rising temperature.However,in the mangrove fringe,the strengthening hydrodynamic conditions under the sea level rise were responsible for the decreasing OCAR,particularly after the1940 s.Furthermore,the duration of inundation by seawater was the primary factors controlling the spatial variability of the OCAR from the mangrove fringe to interior,while the strengthened hydrodynamic conditions after the 1940 s broke this original pattern.

Thermotherapy and chemotherapy have received extensive attention to tumor treatment. However, thermal tolerance and drug resistance severely limit clinical effect of tumor therapy owing to endoplasmic reticulum(ER) stress. Reducing thermal tolerance and drug resistance of tumors is an urgent challenge to be solved. In this work, we design a nanoplatform of PBA-Dtxl@MIL-101 as an ER inhibitor. Amino functionalized Fe-metal organic framework(MIL-101) nanoparticles are synthesized as p H and microwave(MW) dual stimuli-responsive drug delivery system. Then, the chemical chaperones of 4-phenylbutyric acid(PBA) and antineoplastic drug Docetaxel(Dtxl) were successfully loaded into MIL-101 nanoparticles to form PBA-Dtxl@MIL-101 nanoparticles. Furthermore, PBA-Dtxl@MIL-101 nanoparticles exhibit inhibitor effect of ER stress through upregulating caspase 9 proteins and reduce thermal tolerance by downregulating HSP 90. It was demonstrated that the therapy sensitized by PBA-Dtxl@MIL-101 nanoparticles obviously destroyed tumor cells, showing simultaneously enhanced thermo-chemo therapy.

Coal spontaneous combustion is a great threat to mine safety,and gas is the key index to describe coal spontaneous combustion.Taking the coal samples of different kinds of coal as research object,the temperature programmed oxidation experiment was carried out,and the gases produced by coal samples at different temperatures were collected and analyzed by gas chromatography.This research studied the variation characteristics of gas species and gas concentrations in different coal samples during heating oxidation.The experimental results show that different coal samples produce different kinds of gases in the process of heating and oxidation.The order of gas production is CO,C2H6,C2H4,C3H8,and the relationship between gas production and temperature is approximately exponential.With the increase of coal metamorphic degree,the turning point temperature of sharp rise in coal sample gas production rate become higher,the oxidation ability of coal sample decreases,and the quantity of gas production decreases during the same time period.

The regulatory pathways of distinct flowering characteristics in Chinese jujube

Flowering is the most important event in higher plants.Compared to most fruit tree species,Chinese jujube(Ziziphus jujuba Mill.),the most important member of the large,diverse Rhamnaceae family and a leading dry fruit-producing species,has unique characteristics that include a short juvenile phase and extremely fast flower bud differentiation.However,the distinct mechanism of flowering regulation in Chinese jujube is still unclear.The morphological and cytological development period of jujube flowering was first investigated,and the crucial developmental stages were defined.Flower bud differentiation in Chinese jujube took only approximately 11–13 days,which is a distinct characteristic of perennial fruit trees.Afterward,44 genes related to six flowering pathways were identified in the jujube genome and were found to be randomly distributed among 11 of the 12 chromosomes.Tissue-specific and spatiotemporal expression patterns showed that all these genes were expressed in the flowers.Overall,photoperiodrelated genes were highly expressed during flower bud differentiation.These genes were also positively responsive to photoperiod regulation and phase change processes,indicating that photoperiod-related genes play crucial roles in jujube flower bud differentiation.Under protected cultivation,ZjPIF4,a temperature-related gene,was expressed in the early stages of flowering and responded to increasing temperatures.Moreover,STRING analysis and yeast two-hybrid screening indicated that photoperiod-related(ZjCO)and temperature-related(ZjPIF4)proteins could interact with ZjFT,the key protein involved in the determination of flowering time,indicating crosstalk between photoperiodrelated pathways and ambient temperature-related pathways in jujube.This study is the first report to comprehensively analyze the flowering pathways in Chinese jujube and revealed that photoperiod-related and ambient temperature-related pathways are the main mechanisms regulating the distinct flowering process and that members of the ZjPHY family(ZjP
