A variety of border collision bifurcations in a three-dimensional （3D） piecewise smooth chaotic electrical circuit are investigated. The existence and stability of the equilibrium points are analyzed. It is found that there are two kinds of non-smooth fold bifurcations. The existence of periodic orbits is also proved to show the occurrence of non-smooth Hopf bifurcations. As a composite of non-smooth fold and Hopf bifurcations, the multiple crossing bifurcation is studied by the generalized Jacobian matrix. Some interesting phenomena which cannot occur in smooth bifurcations are also considered.

This paper introduces China＇s New Third Board Market（the NTB market） and tests the market-making system in the role of improving market liquidity. The NTB Market is the main part of China＇s OTC market, established in 2006. In comparing with China＇s Main Board Market and the Second Board Market, it attracts a lot of start-up companies that need financing with less strict listing requirements. Meanwhile, it is full of opportunities and challenges that appeal to numerous securities traders and investors with the rapid development momentum. Since its establishment, the NTB Market has been stuck in the lack of liquidity. The authority of the NTB Market introduced market maker system, so as to solve the problem of liquidity. Using the difference-in-difference method（DID method）, the market maker system has been proved to make little contribution to improving the stock liquidity. Although the problem of liquidity is difficult to solve in short term, the NTB Market is full of opportunities for all kinds of participants definitely.

Interlinked positive feedback loops,an important building block of biochemical systems,can induce bistable switching,leading to long-lasting state changes by brief *** this work,prevalent mutual activation between two species as another positive feedback is added to a generic interlinked positive-feedback-loop model originating from many realistic biological circuits.A stochastic fluctuation of the positive feedback strength is introduced in a bistable interval of the feedback strength,and bistability appears for the moderate feedback strength at a certain noise *** analysis based on the potential energy landscape is further utilized to explore the noise-induced switching behavior of two stable steady states.

High-entropy alloys(HEAs)provide an ideal platform for developing highly active electrocatalysts and investigating the synergy of mixed ***-from-equilibrium synthesis holds great potential for fabricating HEAs at the nanoscale by rapidly shifting the thermodynamic conditions and manipulat-ing the growth *** far-from-equilibrium synthesis of nanomaterials has been successful un-der thermochemical conditions,it is markedly challenging under electrochemical environments,as the use of an electrolyte limits the accessible temperature window and the temporal tunability of ***,we demonstrate that applying a large electrochemical overpotential would create a far-from-equilibrium condition as changing the temperature of the system by considering the equation △G=△H−T△S+nF△ψ.An electrochemical far-from-equilibrium approach is thus setup for construct-ing hierarchical and self-supporting high-entropy alloy *** large overpotential drives the simultaneous reduction of multiple cations and the subsequent formation of a single-phase *** a proof-of-concept,hierarchical Fe_(0.22)Co_(0.18)Ni_(0.18)Cr_(0.14)Cu_(0.28)was fabricated and used as an electrocatalyst for the hydrogen evolution reaction in alkaline *** noble-metal-free HEA exhibits an overpoten-tial of 84 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm^(-2),which is among the lowest even compared to noble metal-based *** work opens a new avenue for building a variety of HEAs for energy and catalysis applications.

The crystal structure of the single-unit-cell thickness γ " phase,as a key strengthening phase in Mg-REZn(Ag) series alloys,has been extensively studied,and several structural models have been proposed in the past two ***,these reported models,and even the lattice constants at the same proposed structure,are scattered severely,which has led to considerable confusion and not available for further mechanical property simulation and prediction of Mg alloys containing this *** this study,by using first-principles calculations,the crystal structure of y" phase is clarified,resolving the discrepancies among different experiments,and its intrinsic mechanical properties have also been studied for the first *** is verified that the γ " phase contains quasi-five atomic layers,instead of the previously reported tri-layer,and surprisingly,its crystal structure has many variants,which would change with the alloy ***,with the help of the simulated selected area electron diffraction(SAED) patterns,it is found that the atoms in the central layer remain partially ordered distribution,and this ordered extent primarily depends on the atomic ratio of RE:Zn(Ag) and the solute content in an *** is,the ordered extent increases with decreasing the atomic ratio of RE:Zn(Ag) and/or increasing solute content of alloy,and vice *** and Zn dissolved in the γ" phase would produce almost opposed mechanical anisotropy for the γ " phase under the identical crystal structure,and the addition of Ag shows more efficient on increasing the shear modulus of γ" phase.

Here,we describe a combination strategy of black phosphorus(BP)-based photothermal therapy together with anti-CD47 antibody(aCD47)-based immunotherapy to synergistically enhance cancer *** resistance to immune checkpoint blockades in most cancers due to immune escape from host surveillance,along with the initiation of metastasis through immunosuppressive cells in the tumour microenvironment,remains a significant challenge for cancer ***47,an agent for CD47/SIRPαaxis blockade,induces modest phagocytic activity and a low response rate for monotherapy,resulting in failures in clinical *** showed that BP-mediated ablation of tumours through photothermal effects could serve as an effective strategy for specific immunological stimulation,improving the inherently poor immunogenicity of tumours,which is particularly useful for enhancing cancer *** in combination with aCD47 blockade activates both innate and adaptive immunities and promotes local and systemic anticancer immune responses,thus offering a synergistically enhanced effect in suppression of tumour progression and in inducing abscopal effects for inhibition of metastatic *** combination strategy provides a promising platform in which photothermal agents could help to enhance the therapeutic efficacy of immunotherapy.

Treatment of Microalgae in Ballast Water Using Hydroxyl Radical in Accordance with the D-2 Ballast Water Discharge Standard

The effect of hydroxyl radical(·OH) on microalgae in ballast water is experimentally investigated. An ?OH plasma generator, which has a thin plate discharge Ag electrode covered by two α-Al2 O3 dielectric layers, is built. The plasma generator is filled with O2 and gaseous H2 O and is powered by a homemade power supply. ?OH radicals are generated by a series of plasma reactions and then dissolved into ballast water to kill microalgae. The maximum density of the killed microalgae is about 11 000 cells per milliliter. At this density, the microalgae are not reactivated at the 48th hour and the 120th hour in the treated ballast waters, and the content of chlorophyll in these microalgae decreases by 100%. The water quality returns to a normal level after 120 hours without secondary pollution of aquatic organisms and environment. These results show that the requirements of the D-2 ballast water discharge standard defined by the International Maritime Organization(IMO) are satisfied with the proposed treatment, and that ·OH is an ideal substance for killing microalgae during ballast water replacement of ships.
